Pokémon Trainer Hero
Chapter 41: The Sports Festival part. 13-Sweet Treats, Misunderstanding, and a Mini Battle.
Meanwhile, outside the Festival stadium, the three heroes Kamui Woods, Death Arms, and Mt Lady were patrolling their set route when they stopped at a vendor booth for food. And by them I mean Mt Lady. After the vendor had sold another box of takoyaki, handed out by the Octillery in the booth with him, he called for the next person in line.
He immediately recognized the heroin standing next in line and greeted her excitedly, "Oh, Mt. Lady! I didn't think you came here."
She smiles and says, "One box of Takoyaki please, and hold the salt."
"You're just in luck, this is my last one.", He said happily while he and Octillery quickly whipped up the last box. The vendor held it out and said, "That'll be 1,000 yen."
Hearing the price, Mt Lady put on her best coy and cutesy fasade while shifting around in a sexual manner, and said, "Oh dear, I don't think I have that much on me."
"OH, HOT! IT'S FREE!", The man exclaimed while getting flustered, much to Octileries dismay.
"THANKS SO MUCH!", Mt Lady exclaimed back.
"Have you no shame.", Kamui Woods said from behind with an equal exasperated Death Arms.
Before she could reach out for the box of food, another hand connected to a smaller figure quickly swiped it out of the vendos hand and walked off. Mt Lady was in shock for a moment before yelling, "Hey what the-?! That ugly lady just stole my food."
"And she paid.", Said the vendor. "Oh! Exact change too.", he marveled as Octillery took the money in its tentacles and placed it in a money box.
Mt Lady quickly swivels her head back to the vendor and half begs him, "Do you have more?"
The man shrugs apologetically and says, "Sorry Mt Lady, that was all I had left."
She then narrows her eyes at the man and points to the octopus Pokemon standing next to him, on a bar stool, and pointing to it she states, "You can't say that to me when you have a giant octopus in the stand with you.", Artillery gains a pissed off expression at the woman glaring at him and immediately shoots a jet of ink directly into her face. Without even flinching she takes the ink, and after the stream stops she says in a simple yet annoyed voice, "I hate you."
After shaking the ink from her face and hair, she turned to the leaving short woman and yelled, "Hey! You!", The woman stops and Mt Lady says body, "That's my free food you just swiped. Give it back! Who do you think you are?"
The woman finally turns around and shows her face and figure. She was very short, only maybe 4 ft. She has a black face, pink lips, saucer-like eyes with irises such a light shade of blue you thought that they weren't there, and long blonde hair. She wore a red gown with two gold circlets on the chest. She has white arms and five-fingered black hands.
With a very disinterested tone she replies, "Jynx."
Flipping over a lock of hair in a higher manner, Mt Lady replies, "Well 'Jinx' I'm Mt Lady, and I demand you respect me and fork that box over."
The woman, Jynx, does nothing of the sort, and instead holds the box of food farther away from the heroin while putting one hand on her hip and a displeased expression on her face. To which Mt Lady responded with an even more ticked off expression than before. Suddenly their little standoff is interrupted by somebody's voice cutting through the crowds.
"Hey! You are Jynx, I've been looking all over for you!", Gar appeared running beside the woman, who smiles as he approaches. He sees the box of food and marvel's at it while saying, "Oh! Takoyaki!", The woman holds out the box and he takes one already stuck on a toothpick then shoves it in his mouth while saying, "Hmmm. This would be better with actual Octillery in them."
"Hey! You're there! Guy in the hoodie.", Mt Lady yelled for the two's attention."You know this ugly lady?", She points down to Jynx and regains her displeased expression.
Har looks between the two women and says in the form of a question, "Yes?"
"Well she just stole my food!", Mt Lady stated.
Har looks down at the shorter woman and asks with a cocked and displeased expression, "Did you?"
Jynx looks shocked at Gar's question, but then turns back to Mt Lady, her face twisted in anger and raises an angry fist at the now pompous looking woman.
"Actually, she paid.", The vendor spoke through the tension.
Immediately dropping his conviction, Gar says, "Oh, then that means it's ours."
"I was being served first!", Mt lady argued back like a child.
"Mt Lady, just drop it. We can go to another vendor.", Kamui Woods tried to intervene.
"No! That's not the-URRRRRRRRRRRGH!", She moaned in anger while grabbing her hair and frustration. She then immediately calmed down and tried to keep her cool, she said, "Okay, maybe we should start over.", She then put on her charm and said in a kind voice while winking an eye, "How about we share? After all, us girls gotta stick together."
The woman looked completely disinterested with a neutral expression that said 'I don't care' replied simply with,"Jynx."
"Actually, Jynx here is a guy.", Gar informed her nonchalantly.
Mt Lady paused for a moment before throwing her head back along the rest of her and screamed, "What!? That's a man!?"
"Yeah, the way you tell is by-.", Gar began to explain before she cut him off.
"How is this person a man?!", She demanded and flabbergasted shock.
"Mt Lady.", Death Arms tried to dissuade the conversation from going any further.
Gar then looks at the blond woman strangely and asks, "Wait. Did you think Jynx was a human?", Everyone stopped as they all stared at the older teen in confusion, before he confirmed, "Jynx is a Pokémon. More specifically a highland Jynx. You can tell since his skin is much darker.", Immediately all the people listening to this felt as their expressions dropped in shock! With Mt. Lady's being the most prominent and longest of them all.
Gar shook his head with his eyes closed and said in a pitiful tone, "Man I feel so bad for you right now."
Mt lady then immediately began to leave after this new info, which her two compatriots questioned her about. "Mt Lady? Where are you-?", Kamui Woods began to ask until stopped while hearing her existential crisis muttering.
"Nothing makes sense anymore. The world is a big lie, and I'm it's punch line.", She muttered to herself while holding her fingertips to her templates and eyes wide with panic.
The other two heroes fell close behind the heroin as she meandered away from the site until they were all out of visual contact.
"Dang. Sometimes I forget people of this world can't tell the difference between people and Pokémon who look like people.", Gar said while eating another Takoyaki. Jynx then made a slew of human-like noises which got Gar's attention. He chuckled and said, "Yeah you're right. It was kinda funny.", The Pokemon then made a string of more human noises, to which Gar snapped his fingers and stated, "Ah you're right I almost forgot. We have to go. It's almost time for the recreational games."
Gar and Jynx then began to walk back to the stadium while enjoying the delicious Takoyaki along the way. As they walked, Gar heard a strange noise that seemed to be approaching them fast. How he was able to detect such a slight and specific noise in all the other commotion is up to you.
Turning to Jynx he asked with mouth half full, "Hey you hear that?", before Jynx could reply, something tackled Gar from behind and planted him painfully into the ground! Har felt the object hit him, and he sounded off with a dignified, "AH!"
"Hey hero trainer! Long time no see!", A loud and boisterous female voice said from on top of him while taking his right arm into a painful arm bar.
Immediately recognizing the voice, Gar said and replied, "Miriko? I thought I recognized those boobs on my back."
"What was that?", She asked while tightening her grip.
"AH! I said boost to my back!", Gar squawked out!
"That's what I thought.", She said with a prideful smile while tightening her grip further.
"Now give me back my arm!", Har shouted in pain as a crowd formed around them. "Seriously you're gonna break it! Uncle Uncle!", Gar begged the woman.
Before it could continue any further, Miriko was suddenly lifted up into the air by an invisible force. She was so stunned and taken aback by this that she immediately let go of her grip on Gar's arm while hovering in midair. The crowd watched in awe as the rabbit hero sat aloft in the air, while Gar slowly untwisted his arm from his back.
"I don't know what is going on?", Miriko said aloud in a flabbergasted tone.
Just then, the rabbit woman's eyes fell upon Jynx: who's eyes, hands, and chest orbs were glowing madly with bright power! Even her floor length hair was beginning to move around like waters on a seashore. Before Miriko could say anything, Jynx performed a bunch of random hand gestures and movements which caused Miriko's body to start flexing, stretching, and compressing in many uncomfortable and unnatural positions, much to her pain and inability to fight back.
Gar eventually got back up from the ground and cradled his injured arm while walking back towards Jynx. "Oh ow!", He complained as the Pokemon smiled at him and then let out a series of human-like noises. "Yeah Jynx, I'm good now, you can put her down."
Jynx didn't seem to like this, but regardless, stopped her body deformation of the heroin and put her back down on the ground, albeit extremely rough.
"WOAH! What in the hell was that?!", Miriko exclaimed in excitement and confusion while hopping back up to a sitting position.
"Jynx.", Gar told her simply.
"Jynx?", She questions back?
To which the stated pokémon made another round of human-like noises as if introducing itself boisterously, while flipping a lock of hair over its shoulder in a standoffish manner.
Miriko stared at the pokémon while tenderly getting back to her feet, and then looking to Gar she asked, "Is this ugly lady your friend or something?"
Jynx did not take kindly to being called an ugly lady again, and immediately put up its two hands into fists while assuming a mock fighting position. Seeing the challenge presented before her, Miriko immediately jumped at it and exclaimed, "Oh! You wanna go lady!?"
Miriko then took her own fighting position while jinx began to generate an ice punch around both her fists. The crowd watched in silent awe as the two women looked like they were only seconds from squaring off and throwing hands with one another! And they probably would have if Gar hadn't gotten in between and stopped them.
"Please don't fight! Jynx is actually a Pokemon.", Gar told the rabbit woman quickly.
Miriko immediately lost her fighting spirit, and dropped her arms with a dumbfounded expression she asked while pointing at the Pokemon, "That ugly lady is a Pokémon?"
"And he's a dude.", Gar added in.
Miriko's eyes widened as she looked between the older teen and the human-like Pokemon. She looked back at Gar and asked, "Tell me you're joking."
"No! I'm serious! The way you tell it is-.", Gar began to explain until the woman cut him off abruptly with a turnover head and her palm outstretched and waved it off.
"Okay okay! I believe you! God that's creepy. Why are pokémon so weird?", She shivered to herself.
"You've only met like three so far.", Gar hissed while narrowing his eyes, as Jynx copied him. Giving a digressed sigh He asked the woman, "So. Any particular reason you decided to sneak attack me and try to rip my arm off again?"
"Can't say hi to an old friend?", She said with a snide smile.
'friends is not the exact words I would use for you.', Gar said in his mind ball rolling his eyes.
"Besides, I wanted to thank you.", Miriko told the older teen, catching him off guard. "Ever since your pep talk with me back when that BoBo guy and his Tina-Tar showed up and nearly destroyed the city.", She began to tell him with excitement oozing from her.
'I'm not even gonna bother trying to correct you.', Gar sighed exasperatedly in his mind.
"I've improved significantly and not only my fighting but power and efficiency. I really owe that to you.", She told him while kicking out one of her legs, making a warm fuzzy feeling crawl up inside him. "So I thought I'd help you where I could. So I've personally volunteered myself as a bodyguard during the sports festival. Knowing what Bobo can do, you're gonna need all the help you can get in case he decides to poke his head out. Which I'll gladly kick off his shoulders! Plus I'm sure you need someone with prior experience.", She told him exuberantly while doing a midair kickflip.
Gar smiled genuinely at the heroin and replied, "I'm really grateful for that Miriko. Thanks."
The crowd gusher at the sweet sight of pleasant exchanges between the hero and the older teen. Snapping photos and even recording video of the two.
After several seconds of silence, Gar piped up and told the heroin,"You know. When you jumped on me, for a second there, I assumed you were a Pokémon."
Miriko gave him a surprised and confused expression as she asked back, "Me, a Pokémon? Do I really look like a Pokémon to you?", But in the tone of her voice, one could tell she didn't actually want an answer to that question. At least not the wrong one.
Gar picked up on the que in her tone, but utterly ignored it while blinking twice and honestly replying, "Yes. Lots of people in this world do. You for instance; you look like a Lopunny."
Forgetting her anger almost immediately, she fired back in a confused tone, "What the hell is a Lopunny?"
With a big smile, Gar went to his A.M.P.D (Arm Mounted Pokéball Dispenser, yes I'm calling it that), punched some buttons, and a new pokeball that was colored pink with a heart on it appeared.
"Come on out Lopunny!", Gar shouted while throwing the device into the air.
In a flash of blue light a ball of shining matter appeared and formed into a new Pokemon. It appears to be a brown rabbit with yellowish-gold fluff hanging from its ears along with a tall body. Along with that, yellowish-gold fluff is on its arms covering it along with the bottom part of their legs and their entire feet. It also appears to have red eyes with black white coatings.
At seeing the new Pokemon, everyone watching immediately burst into fits of uncontrollable laughter.
Miriko was dumbfounded at the sight of the play bunny-like pokémon. She blinked and shook her head to make sure she wasn't hallucinating, but she wasn't. And she couldn't even Believe her eyes that this was out Gar saw her.
"That reminds you of me!?", She exclaimed while motioning to the Pokemon.
"Not until after she Mega Evolves.", Gar told her with a sky smirk while taking a mega band to his wrist.
Miriko raised an eyebrow as she asked, "Mega who now?"
"Keystone, react to my heart! Unlock the power buried deep within, unearth a force long forgotten, let our strength be made as one to assure victory. Beyond Evolution, Mega Evolve!", Gar monologues as beams of light flow out from the stone on his armband and connect to the Pokemon. The rabbit pokémon's body glows with a strange power and then is engulfed into it by a sphere which hardens and then breaks open to reveal the Pokemon in a brand new form.
All the excess fur from its body had she'd off to reveal a much more athletic build with lean long muscular legs suitable for a fighting technique. The eyebrows on its head formed together to create a bow, it's legs had black fur that resembled form fitting stockings, and it's feet still had It's previous fluffy fur giving the appearance of boots. The fur around it's arms had shed to look like boxer mits or combat gloves, and all the fur on its ears had shed to look like two individual pigtails with segmented braided bunches. All in all lopunny looked pretty badass. The crowd awed at the sight and began to shout questions while taking pictures of the Mega evolved Pokemon.
Most shocked of all was Miriko herself! She stared at the pokémon's new form with a mixture of surprise, awe, and excitement "Wow! I gotta admit you threw me through quite a loop there.", She exclaimed while admiring the pokémon who looked far more confident and fight-oriented than the koi little play bunny that stood there before. "Now this! This is more like it!"
"Say, since you're here and I'm still sore from that armbar you gave me. How's about a mini battle?", Gar offered her, with a bit of vendetta in his voice.
"I thought you'd never ask! I've always wanted to fight a doppelganger.", Miriko gladly accepted with zeal while punching a fist into her palm. "Let's go!"
"Ready Lopunny?!", Gar called the rabbit Pokémon, who kicked into the air. "Good, then let's start with Extreme Speed!", He shouted his first command excitedly!
Lopunny then dashed from it's spot and disappeared from sight leaving Miriko to rapidly twist her head around and keep up her guard looking for the rabbit Pokemon. Without a moment's notice the Pokemon came out on her right side and slammed into her with an exceeding amount to force! Miriko was sent careening across the street but managed to hop back onto her feet and prepare herself for a counter attack.
She dashed towards the rabbit Pokémon and jumped in the air preparing to slam her foot down on it. But Gar told the Pokémon to dodge and lopunny moved out of the way just in time. Miriko prepared to do a swift punch as the Pokemon tried to move away but Gar was also on his top game!
"Ice Beam!", Gar commanded!
Lopunny then generated a cold force around its mouth and shot it at the heroin. The rabbit woman's arm was completely encased in ice and it fell to the ground from the excess weight! But Miriko didn't let this hinder her and used her new handicap to her advantage. She put her whole body weight into one swing and used her arm like a club to whack the Pokemon on the side of its face! Then spun around once more and raised it above her head and brought it down on the Pokemon's head!
Lopunny fell to the ground and was about to receive another blow, which would have knocked it out for sure, when Gar commanded, "Lopunny, counter with Close Combat!"
The pokémon got a determined fire in its eyes and blocked the initial blow from Miriko's iced arm. The pokémon then went into a flurry of fast and precise attacks using both its arms and legs at a short reach of the opposing rabbit woman. Miriko couldn't do anything to move quickly due to her handicap, but used it as a shield to block a good portion of the attacks!
Lopunny gave one swift kick which sent the rabbit woman sliding back giving her some breathing room. The heroin then broke her now cracked ice arm on a nearby tree and freed it for her to use her full movement. She twisted and flexed her arm to make sure that she was still able to feel it and use it properly before applauding Gar.
While this was going on, the crowd around them bowed and awed at the site Of the two rabbits going in an all-out brawl! Some people were cheering for the Pokémon while others were cheering for the heroine. Some were trying to crowd in to get closer or take pictures, But luckily there were a few other heroes that were able to hold them back. While Jynx stood on the sidelines with two bunches of bush branches and swung them around like cheerleader pom poms.
"Not bad kid, not bad at all! I have to say, fighting myself is a real bitch! You sure know how to raise you pokémon.", She said with a somewhat threatening smile.
Gar shot back with his own snide smile and retorted back, "Thanks, you're holding up pretty well yourself for someone fighting a mega evolved Pokemon. But this isn't even Lopunny's full power."
Almost immediately after hearing his words the rabbit's woman's face immediately melted from excited controlled bloodlust to immense pissed off disappointment. She stomped one of her feet so hard against the ground it broke and she yelled, "The hell!? You mean to say you've been holding back this entire time!?"
Almost taken aback by her sudden mood shift, Gar argued back with an extremely serious tone, "Miriko, this is a MEGA Evolved pokémon! I have to hold her back. If I don't hold back, you won't survive!"
Rolling her eyes, she spat back with a clenched fist and a determined smile, "Bullshit! I wanna really fight! The real deal! Give me everything you got and don't hold back!"
Gar shrugged and said, "Alright. I'll go all out.", The controlled excited bloodlust in the woman's eyes immediately returned as she heard his words. "But only on this last attack. If you can survive it you win. Deal?"
Miriko loved a little challenge and punched a fist into her palm while tapping one of her feet rapidly. She said, "Deal!", And began to prepare herself for the next attack.
"Alright Lopunny, I don't want you to hold back on this last attack in any way! Give it all you have!", Gar told the rabbit Pokémon who looked back and nodded in confirmation.
Once Gar saw that Miriko was really ready, he gave one last command to the mega Pokémon. "Let's finish this off with Mega Kick!", He shouted as the rabbit Pokemon dashed forward in pursuit of the rabbit hero.
Miriko also dashed forward in pursuit of the rabbit Pokémon, her legs bulging with power that flowed all throughout her body caused around her eyes and even made her hair go wild! Once the two were in talking distance of one another they both left forward and let loose their attacks! Strange energy course around Lopunny's leg as she thrusted it out in a wide arc!
While Miriko shouted, "Half Moon, Axe Kick!", she also swung her leg around in a wide arc!
The legs of the two rabbits collided in an explosive force of power that rushed around all angles in a self-created wind force that blew everything within a small range! The two rabbits were almost so equal in power output that they were at a virtual stalemate that lasted over 5 minutes. But like all things it eventually ended and the energy output from the two rabbits dissipated into the ether leaving both of them standing there with their legs crossed over one another.
They both stood like that for several seconds before they both fell to the ground clutching their legs in pain! Gar almost couldn't hold back his laughter at seeing the outcome that came from the fight and both of them going all out with one final attack. It was almost kind of ironic and hilarious in a way to see two mighty warriors go at each other with all they had and in display that was worthy of a fight scene in a movie or TV show, only for both of them to immediately fall down and act like they had hit their funny bones.
After he managed to regain his composure he said to the rabbit heroin while taking out Lopunny's pokeball, "Miriko! I'm super impressed that you were able to hold back against the sheer outer strength from a mega Pokemon! How about we call it a draw?"
The rabbit heroine sat up while grabbing her wounded leg and trying to snuff out the pain and her voice she replied, "yeah, I'm good with that. but next time I'll win for sure."
Gar smiled and then returned the now non-mega evolved lopunny. He then walked off back to the Sports Festival arena leaving the other heroes to help the rabbit heroin. Jynx followed not too far behind Gar, but before completely disappearing from sight, the human-looking Pokemon glared at the rabbit woman stuck out his tongue and shot a raspberry at her. Miriko retorted back by giving the middle finger to the human looking Pokemon.
Hey yall, I'm back! for only two chapter before I have to spend some time typing the next one up, which is gonna be long. So yeah. theirs that. I got my computer back! Which I'm really happy about, and I got a better WIFI service , so now I can play games much faster and easier! So I'm super happy about that!
