Chapter 41 Long Live the Queen
Sean and Asami were being escorted to an airship to return to Ba Sing Se.
"LET ME OUT! You fuckers don't know what your doing!" Sean yelled trying to get free but his restraints were locked tight to prevent him from moving to build any momentum.
"Sorry Kruger but we have orders." The Captain said making him growl.
"AHHH! Where's Mako and Bolin when you need them?" Sean asked before he was locked to the wall to prevent him from moving.
"Do I have to be chained to the floor the whole way? It's going to be so uncomfortable." Asami said making Sean raise an eyebrow.
"Sorry miss I'm under orders."
"Can't you just chain me to the railing?" Asami asked.
"Well, as long as you're chained up, I guess it doesn't make a difference."
Asami was chained to the railing before he left.
"I had hoped Mako and Bolin would show up to save us at the last minute before we took off. What happened to them?" Sean asked.
"They stayed behind to fight two members of the Red Lotus as you called them. The Lava bender and water arm lady." Asami said.
"I think Lin said they were Ghazan and Ming-Hua." Sean said.
"What do you think the Queen is gonna do with us?" Asami asked concerned.
"Most likely try to turn me into a living weapon for conquest just like Norris tried. I wouldn't be surprised if she was an American he would marry her." Sean said disgusted.
Meanwhile
Zaheer and the Red Lotus were driving in a truck to Ba Sing Se with Mako and Bolin tied up.
"If you think holding us hostage will give you some leverage against Sean, you're gonna be disappointed." Mako said.
"Can't we just enjoy our time together in silence?" Ming-Hua asked annoyed.
"So you guys were, like, locked up for 15 years? That must have been, like, crazy boring." Bolin said.
"It felt more like 30. I'm still pissed Unalaq let us rot." Ghazan said.
"Wait what?" Mako asked.
"The idea to kidnap the Avatar was Unalaq's idea." Ming-Hua said.
"I can honestly see why Sean hated him so much. The only good thing he did was help us defeat Miraak and Vaatu." Mako said.
"So, what did you do with all that time? Did you sing songs, work on crafts?" Bolin asked. (Seriously?)
"I must have renamed the constellations about a thousand times. When it rained, that was a big event." Ghazan said.
"I would have killed for some rain." Ming-Hua said. "Mostly I just made up stories about the guards. Who was having trouble with his girlfriend? Which one secretly wished he became a pastry chef." Ming-Hua said.
"Ooh, Okay, that sounds like fun. Let me try that on you guys." Bolin said before looking at Ghazan. "You were raised by an older Sister. Your mustache grew in when you were ten. And I'm sensing...Just sensing...An unspoken attraction between you two." Bolin said making him and Ming-Hua look at each other.
"Two out of three. Not Bad." Ghazan said. (BAHAHAHAHAHA! WHICH ONE DID HE GET WRONG!))
"Bolin, will you stop making friends with the bad guys?" Mako asked.
"Sorry." Bolin said.
"Ghazan, gag those two. We're almost there." Zaheer said as they drove to Ba Sing Se.
Meanwhile
Sean growled as he tried to get free. He couldn't even use his magic or science powers for some reason.
"We have to find a way off this prison before that bitch has us." Sean said.
"Don't worry. I have a plan. These airships that cabbage corp sold to the Earth Kingdom are way cheaper than the ones future industries built." Asami said placing her feet on the wall before pulling and the railing came off before she jumped up to put her arms in front of her.
"Oh so thats why you wanted to be put there. I'm highly impressed right now." Sean said impressed as she approached him.
"Theres no way I can get these locks off. I need the keys." Asami said before making a hatch to climb out. "Give me five minutes, then start yelling for help." Asami said going on.
"No wonder David loves her so much." Sean said impressed. "Come to think of it our relationships are pretty much the same but with the roles reversed. I'm the Smart one and Korra is the Brute in our marriage and Asami is the Smart one and David is the brute in his relationship." Sean said to himself.
"You know I can hear you right?" Asami asked amused.
"Whoops." Sean said chuckling.
Meanwhile
"When is Kruger scheduled for Delivery?" The Earth Queen asked Gun.
"The Airship already left Fort Bosco and should be arriving in a few hours." Gun said.
"Excellent. Send him to the Dai Li at once when he arrives. We'll warp his mind into serving me. Then we'll invade Republic city and reclaim what is rightfully mine and then the four nations and then the entire world." The Queen said pleased by this.
"Yes, your majesty. But first there are some people here who captured Kruger's friends. They would like to present them to you personally." Gun said.
"You know I don't meet with bounty hunters." The Queen said.
"And of course I told them that, But they say they have some information that might interest you about the location of the Kruger's son and how to find him." Gun said.
"Really? Fine, send them in." The Queen said.
Soon Mako and Bolin were thrown down in front of her.
"Ah, yes. I remember these two. We'll find an acceptable home for you in prison with the rest of the dissidents." The Queen said before facing Zaheer. "Now I'm told you have some information for me. I hope this isn't just some ruse to try to increase your bounty." The Queen said.
"We don't want any bounty, your majesty. You can consider these two a thank-you gift for simply taking the time to talk to us." Zaheer said.
"How very magnanimous. So Where is the Avatar who stole my property?" The Queen questioned.
"I'd be happy to tell you once you hand Kruger over to me." Zaheer said.
"Who told you we have Kruger?" The Queen demanded.
"How I know is not important. But if I found out, the others will too. And that could put you in a difficult position." Zaheer said.
"Is that so?" The Queen asked.
"You know Kruger has allies all over the world. Once they learn you have him they'll send their armies against yours. Even you can't stand against the entire world like that. Especially when the rest of the Avatars of old come to his aid." Zaheer said making her frown when she thought about that. "But if you let me take him today, No one need ever know he was here, And you can get your future weapon without the interference of his father." Zaheer said.
"Hmm...I need time to consider this. Gun...Escort them to the Antechamber while I think on my answer." The Queen said getting him to do that. "Send these two to the dungeon!" The Queen yelled as the Dai Li took Mako and Bolin away.
Meanwhile
"HEY DUMBASS VIRGIN FUCKER!" Sean yelled gaining the Guard's attention as he looked inside seeing him but failed to see Asami.
"Where is she?"
Only to get knocked out from behind by Asami who smirked before grabbing the keys.
Sean growled as he was set free before taking off the mask.
"Nice work. Now lets take control of this ship." Sean said.
The Captain sat back while the Pilot took them to Ba Sing Se.
Thats when Sean toor down the door before the pilot tried to attack but Sean kicked him back into the wheel.
"Uh oh." Asami said seeing them lose control.
"Mayday! Mayday! Kruger has escaped! We're going down in Quadrant four." The Captain said as the Pilot tried again before Sean threw him into the Captain before Asami rushed to the controls.
"I think you might have been a little overaggressive. The controls are busted and so is the radio." Asami said.
"Not my fault this thing is Total garbage compared to the ones you make. HOLD ON!" Sean yelled as they crashed.
The two made it out of the airship up top.
"Well, they say any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. But given our location, I'm not so sure about that." Asami said before the crew came out.
"You guys ok?" Sean asked.
"Like you care."
"I wasn't about to get captured by that dumb bitch. But never mind that now. We need to get out of here so for now we put our differences aside and focus on fixing this damn thing." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Lin was in a jeep looking for Sean and the others before she found some tracks.
Soon she found their jeep and Aiwei's.
When she went to inspect the later's jeep Naga jumped out at her making her yell as Naga roared before seeing it was her before licking her.
"First you scare the life out of me, now you want to lick me." Lin said before she did it again as Pabu appeared from the Jeep and jumped on Lin before she grabbed him and put him on Naga before giving them treats. "Here. chew on this, and leave me alone." Lin said before getting the radio. "Reznov, you read me?" Lin asked.
"Yeah I hear ya." Reznov said.
"I found Sean's jeep, but they aren't here. Meet me at the misty palms Oasis." Lin said.
"You two sure it's a good idea to have me and Junior outside Suyin's estate?" Korra asked concerned.
"I trust my sister but after what happened with Aiwei I think it's best we keep you moving until Sean comes back. They could try to use you like before." Lin said.
"She's got a point." Ghost said.
"Relax with this much security even Zaheer wouldn't try some bullshit attempt." Reznov said.
Meanwhile
Sean grunted as he bent the propellers in the right position before jumping down and used airbending to blow the sand away
"Thats should do." Sean said before seeing Asami fix the flaps. "How we doing?" Sean asked.
"Well, she's still pretty banged up, but I think she might be able to limp out of the desert." Asami said before one of the crew members went inside to start her up.
"Once we get this bird in the air we're heading back to the city so I can tell Korra what I found." Sean said.
"So Zaheer wants to free the Primordials inside you and the others?" Asami asked. (Sora incase you forgot what the Primordials are it's where the Avatars of Old get their powers from. And if you remember the Convergence chapter Sean's is the Blue eyes white Dragon)
"Yeah. In his mind they're supposed to be free to start a new world. But I know for a fact my grandfather must have had a good reason for sealing them inside him and the first generation." Sean said as the airship started working. "Now lets..." Sean tried to say before some Sand Shark monster came up and ate it before flying up in the air and left.
The crew-mate was still alive though.
"What the hell was that?" Asami asked.
"Sand Shark is my best guess." Sean said.
"Well, now what?"
"Uh the best I can come up with is a sand glider. I can use airbending to blow into the sails." Sean said.
"It's our best option." Asami said.
Meanwhile
Zaheer and the others waited patiently for the Queen before one of her agents rushed past them.
"He's in a hurry." Ghazan said making Zaheer frown before following him using his airbending to get up on the rafters to listen in on the conversation.
"Your majesty, we received a distress signal from the airship carrying the prisoners. We believe the ship crashed in the Si Wong desert and Kruger may have escaped." The Agent said making her growl.
"This is outrageous! Send another airship to retrieve Kruger immediately." The Queen said making Zaheer narrow his eyes before going back to the others and told them what happened.
"What are we going to do now?" Ming-Hua asked.
"Theres no way we can track him down in the desert before the Queen gets to him. And Kruger probably already escaped." Ghazan said.
"It doesn't matter. We're through chasing him. It's time to make him come to us." Zaheer said.
The Queen was growling that her men failed to deliver Kruger like she told them.
"Worthless Lot. I'll make sure they are publicly executed for failing their queen." The Queen said before the doors were blown down by Zaheer. "What is this Riffraff doing in my throne room unannounced?"
"Apologies, your majesty, But I couldn't help overhearing that Kruger won't be joining us today." Zaheer said.
"Kruger is still in my custody. However, eavesdropping on royal conversations will land you in a cell right next to those boys you brought in. Now, if you value your freedom, You'll tell me where the Avatar's son is so I can have my future weapon." The Queen said.
"Being honest? We were never really going to tell you where she is since I despise the idea of turning innocent children into living weapons." Zaheer said.
"AAAAAH! KILL THEM!" The Queen thundered before her agents attacked them.
That didn't work out so well as her men were down in seconds. (Ah I do love seeing these bastards fail like this since it's always good to see the Dai Li get smacked around)
And Gun ran away in fear.
"GUN! Get back here and lay down your life for your queen, you coward!" The Queen roared hiding behind her chair. (Look who's talking)
"He's got the right idea running away from you." Zaheer said making her glare.
"You wouldn't dare attack a queen!" The Queen yelled before he jumped on her throne chair.
"Maybe I forgot to mention something to you. I don't believe in queens." Zaheer said before she gasped as the air was being forced out of her lungs. "You think freedom is something you can give or take on a whim, but to your people, freedom is just as essential as air." Zaheer said as the oxygen in her lungs began to leave her. "And without it, there is no life. There is only...Darkness." Zaheer said as she dropped dead. (No matter how many times I see this I always enjoy it even if it had a negative reaction)
Minutes later
Zaheer, P'li and Ming-Hua arrived at the radio station.
"Hey, you can't be in here."
"No need for alarm. I just need to make an announcement to the entire city. How do I do that?" Zaheer asked.
"Who do you think you are?"
Ming-Hua grabbed him by the throat.
"He's the man who just took down the Earth Queen. You wanna be next?" Ming-Hua threatened. (To answer your question Sora about why she's with them she just wants Chaos)
"Ming-Hua, please. We're here to help citizens like him, not hurt them." Zaheer said calming her down. "Now, can you help me?" Zaheer asked making him nod before setting everything up.
"Attention, citizens of Ba Sing Se. I have an important announcement to make. Moments ago, the Earth Queen was brought down at the hands of revolutionaries, including myself. I'm not going to tell you my name, Cause my identity's not important. I'm not here to take over the Earth Kingdom. I think you've had enough of leaders telling you what to do. It's time for you to find your own path. No longer will you be oppressed by tyrants. From now on you are free." Zaheer said.
Ghazan was outside the walls that held back the inner ring before he lava bent it down before the people came rushing in to do what they pleased.
Zaheer made his way to the cells before opening all but one. The one that held Mako and Bolin.
"I'm going to let you two go. But I want you to tell Kruger something for me." Zaheer said making Mako narrow his eyes.
Meanwhile
Sean and Asami along with the Crew made it back to the Oasis.
"Well...That was a royal pain in the ass." Sean said annoyed before Naga pounced him. "Whoa!" Sean yelled before laughing as she licked him. "Did you think I forgot about you? Korra would kill me." Sean said.
"Oh you have no idea." Korra said above him holding Junior close.
"Korra? What are you doing here!" Sean asked in alarm standing up.
"Relax I got plenty of protection. Look." Korra said showing the Task force along with other groups in the military.
"Oh. That makes me feel a lot better." Sean said as the others approached him.
"About bloody time. Where the hell were ya?" Soap asked.
"Captured. That fucking queen had her forces take me and Asami while I was in the spirit world." Sean said.
"Well...We don't have to worry about her anymore. She's been killed." Korra said making him frown.
"By Zaheer and the Red Lotus." Sean said.
"Red Lotus?" Tonraq asked.
"It's the group Zaheer leads. And I found out what they want. They want to take out world leaders and bring back the old ways long before the avatars...And free the Primordials inside us." Sean said.
"Huh? Why would they want to do that?" Reznov asked.
"He wants a new world to rise out of the ashes from the chaos and thinks the only way that'll happen is if the Primordials are free since everything that breathes came from them." Sean said.
"But they're sealed inside you all." Korra said.
"Yeah...And he won't stop until he succeeds. This is only going to get worse." Sean said.
Authors Note: Oh boy. Ba Sin Se has descended into Chaos now. And now Zaheer moved into his plans to bring Sean to him to free the Primordial inside him. What will happen when they face off again?
