Synopsis: The plane didn't crash. It was targeted and shot down. Someone wanted Lexie Grey dead to get back at Meredith. Lexie didn't die, but to protect her it had to look like she died. So Leixe was gone and she became Alex Danvers. 12 years later, Meredith shows up on Alex's doorstep, saying that she's in danger again. Is it because of Kara? Or did the person targeting her find out that she was still alive? Will Alex be able to leave everyone behind? Or will she stay and fight?

*set in 2017

Lexie wasn't a doctor when she and Meredith first parted ways.. She was only 14. Meredith was 28.

Family game night usually takes place at Kara's but with Alex's broken leg, the younger Danver sister insisted on having family game night at Alex's apartment, even though Alex said she was perfectly fine to go to Kara's.

The self made DEO family was in the middle of a game of trivia when there was a knock on the door. Everybody looked at Alex.

"I'll get it. I can get it." Alex insisted as she fumbled with her crutches, hobbling to the door. She hadn't been expecting anyone. Everybody was already there.

After making it to the front door, Alex opened the door, shocked to find her older sister Meredith standing in front of her. She couldn't understand why Meredith was standing at her door. They had made a promise to each other to never make contact.

"Hi Lexie."

"Wha...What are you doing here?"

"You're in danger again."

Alex took a breath. She could feel her heart beating faster and faster. She didn't know what to say. She heard Kara's footsteps approaching behind her.

"Alex, who is it?"

Kara appeared in the doorway beside Alex. She stared at Meredith, wondering who the woman was. She looked at Alex's face, noticing that she was upset, and then Kara glared at Meredith.

"Who are you? And why have you made my sister so upset?"

"I'm Meredith. I'm Lexie's sister."

Kara furrowed her eyebrows, "Lexie? She goes by Alex." She looked over at her sister, "Tell her you go by Alex."

"I do now. Ever since I was fourteen. Just a few months before mom and dad adopted you, they adopted me. It...My life was in danger so people had to think that I was their biological child." Alex explained, "I never wanted to lie to you, Kara. You are my sister and my best friend."

"Well your other sister is back. Are you going to leave and go back to…?" Kara looked over at Meredith

"Seattle." Meredith finished

Kara gave a nod, "...go back to Seattle with her?"

"No." Alex replied

"Kara? Your name is Kara, right?" Meredith spoke, "I didn't come here to take Lexie back. I came to tell her that she's in danger again."

Alex shook her head, "I know what you want me to do, Meredith, and I'm not doing it. I'm not running again. I'm not gonna hide. I'm not fourteen years old anymore. I'm going to stay and fight. Face the danger head on."

"Then I'll stay too." Meredith insisted, "It's my fault that you're in danger anyways."

Alex nodded, "Thanks Mer, but that's….you don't have to do that. I'm sure you have a family to get back to."

"I do. I have three kids. They're with my fiance."

"Derek?" Alex questioned

Meredith frowned, "He died the day before I found out I was pregnant with my youngest."

"I'm sorry."

"You know, Meredith, you should stay for family game night." Kara suggested

Meredith shook her head, "No, that's alright. I'm just going to head to my hotel. I'm pretty tired." She looked at her sister, "See you tomorrow, Lexie."

"See you, Mer."
