Author's Note: This chapter's name comes from the Japanese GT theme, "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku," or "Bit By Bit, I'm Falling Under Your Spell!" in English, by the band Field of View.

Trunks found the next wormhole in the same year as the previous one, in age 790. It was at the tail end of the Shadow Dragon battles, who were spawned due to an excess of negative energy build up in the Dragon Balls due to how many times they'd been used in recent decades. The Earth Dragon Balls were meant to have several mortal lifetimes to dissipate their energies, both positive and negative, as they remained inert for decades at a time. But thanks to Bulma's Dragon Radar and the frequent need for them to resurrect a large number of people during Kakarot's lifetime, they didn't have time to dissipate their energy, leading to Black Smoke Shenron forming and tell the heroes of the Shadow Dragons rampaging on Earth.

Kakarot and Pan had found most of the Dragon Balls and defeated their dragons, leaving only the four, five and seven star balls still remaining. And that was the point when Peparia was needed; Nouva, Eis and Syn Shenron had Demigra's power ups making them stronger, and they needed Peparia's help to defeat them.

Peparia entered the timestream and was plopped down in the battle with Nouva Shenron, the Four Star Dragon. Kakarot in his child base form and Pan were squaring off against the dragon, and Peparia quickly transformed into Super Saiyan 4 and joined the battle.

Kakarot too transformed into Super Saiyan 4 and joined in the fray, and helped Peparia wear down Nouva, but the robot, Giru, who had somehow "swallowed" the Dragon Radar, detected the presence of Eis Shenron, the Three Star Dragon. This forced Peparia to break off and defend the much weaker Pan, forcing Kakarot to interact with Nouva the way he had in the proper timeline.

The timestream stayed correct, and eventually, both Nouva and Eis were killed, leading Syn to absorb all six dragon balls, becoming his strongest form, Omega Shenron.

And that was when things got crazy. Omega had both the power of all seven Shadow Dragons, but also Demigra's power up. This meant that the two Super Saiyan 4's were squaring off against this extremely powerful Shadow Dragon.

Omega started with a ki blast out of both his hands at Kakarot and Peparia, forcing them into the air. Omega then rushed at Kakarot, as he and his friends were the Dragons' focus. Omega launched into a combo on Kakarot, hitting him from the left and right, up and down, forcing Peparia to come in from behind with a punch to the kidney. This stunned Omega, allowing Peparia to hit him with a Justice Combination, throwing him, which allowed Kakarot to charge up a Times 10 Kamehameha. This sent Omega into the dirt, but when he got up, he wasn't even breathing heavy.

However, another figure entered the battle that everyone was surprised by; Vegeta in Super Saiyan 4. Kakarot was surprised because Vegeta didn't have a tail, Omega was surprised because Vegeta wasn't his focus, and Peparia was surprised because this shouldn't be possible; Baby was still in control of his body in this timeline. This meant one of two things; either the timeline knew that Peparia won, or that there was some kind of ripple effect that allowed Vegeta to exist with a past version of himself caught up inside the wormhole.

Hoping for the former, Peparia held off Omega as Vegeta suggested the Metamoran fusion. She watched as they fused into Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, which gave them the power they needed to take on Omega.

But something happened that nobody expected; the wormhole came and swallowed them all. And when they were dropped out of it, they were in a rocky wasteland at night. And that was when Baby and Super 17 were dropped off.

Peparia shot a ki blast at the wormholes like she had done during the Namekian battle with Broly, closing off access permanently. All they had to do now was take on the three foes and end the threat of Demigra once and for all.

Peparia went after Baby first, while Gogeta held off Omega. This left Super 17 to do as he pleased for a bit, but they had to take down the Great Ape before they could focus on anything else.

Peparia worked quickly, tugging on Vegeta's tail, which gave Baby a pain he definitely wasn't used to. She flew up as high as she could without leaving the atmosphere, dragging Baby along behind her until the tail finally popped off, forcing Vegeta's body to return back to his base.

Peparia tossed the tail away and rushed down at Baby and nailed him right in the back. She pummeled him repeatedly, but not enough to break his back. Eventually, Vegeta's body passed out from the pain, forcing Baby to attempt to leave the body and possess someone else. But Peparia was ready for that, opening a capsule that could trap Baby and sucked him in. She then transformed it back into a capsule and put it back with her equipment.

Super 17 was next. Peparia rushed after him and punched him as hard as she could in the stomach, and then sledgehammered him into the ground. She then charged up Vegeta's newest ability, the Final Shine, and nailed 17 right on. She held it for a long time, draining all of 17's ki until he too, was unconscious.

But when Peparia turned toward Omega, Gogeta had already taken care of him. In fact, Gogeta said he could have taken them all if he had to. Peparia simply smiled as she turned around, only to be met by Kakarot and Vegeta, now defused.

"Thanks a lot," Kakarot said. "For everything."

"I'll let you take care of these three that came out of that weird hole," Vegeta said, smiling.

"No, I'll deal with them," Trunks said, entering the timeline.

"Trunks?!" Vegeta said, surprised. "Wait, no, you're the other Trunks…"

"It was good to see you again," Trunks said. "It was great to watch you fight."

"So, you're heading back?" Vegeta said.

"Yes," Trunks said confidently. "I need to keep on protecting history."

Vegeta merely extended his hand. Trunks took it and shook his father's hand. And after their warm…embrace was the best word that Peparia could think of…they watched Kakarot and Vegeta return to their bases and flew back to their friends.

Trunks, however, collected up their enemies, as well as the capsule with Baby in it from Peparia, and used his own scroll to return them to the points in history they were supposed to be defeated. Peparia, however, used her scroll to return to the Time Nest, where they waited on Trunks to return.

Chronoa chastised Trunks for heading into a timeline he had a connection to, but she said it all ended well with the wormholes taken care of.

"I prepared a present to reward you!" Chronoa said, happy that her Time Patrollers had done such a great job against Demigra. "It's a full course meal with gourmet dishes!"

Peparia jumped for joy. After all that fighting, she was starving. "It's in this building here! Follow me!" Chronoa added.

Peparia was about to follow when Trunks grabbed her shoulder. "You'd better prepare yourself. Because this quest…is the most dangerous of all. The Kaoishin of Time's cooking…well, it's more dangerous than any Shenron."

"Come on! Eat up! It isn't every day you get to eat a god's cooking!" Chronoa said happily, though Peparia knew that Trunks was serious; that same dark purple aura that their enemies were empowered with radiated from her house, showing just how terrible Chronoa's cooking was.

Author's Note Part 2: Look forward to Xenoverse 2: Charri's Journey, as well as two more chapters with Peparia that happen during Xenoverse 2 from Peparia's perspective before I close this story out!
