Firstly, I want to thank you all for all the comments, review and messages I've had for this story since I stopped writing it. This story will always remain dear to my heart, but ultimately, I had to let it go. While it was my intention to continue it at the time, the reality of undertaking a degree meant I simply did not have the time. Over the years I have considered going back to Chibs and Boo, but I've never had the chance. Recently however, my partner decided he wanted to start watching SOA, so I decided that, rather than start up again, I'd summarise, season by season, where I planned to take the story, with one final update to explain where it'd go beyond that. Each season will be a new 'chapter' within this story, but consider them an epilogue. The part of Chibs and Boo's story that I naturally stopped at is, for me, at a really wonderful place - with the birth of their first child - so an epilogue feels more fitting than new 'chapters' that are more an outline of what would have happened, rather than fully written updates. So, I'll start with season 4, as we were just heading into that part of the SOA timeline when Bonnie was born. As I said, this will be more a summary than a full-write up. I just thought I'd give you all a chance to see where the story was going to go.

After Bonnie's birth, Boo had hoped that her role as a mother would simply fall in line with her role as a wife, an author, a daughter... but she finds that it almost erases the other parts of her. She struggles to feel as connected to Chibs, she feels a distance from Tig and all of her writing instincts are gone. There is nothing. It is crushing for her. And while Bonnie proves to be a wonderfully calm baby that settles quickly into a routine, Boo finds that motherhood is far more of a struggle that she ever expected. The club troubles of course, are part of that.

In regards to the letters Tara finds, initially Gemma and Clay believe that Boo has them, that she is keeping them safe for Tara in a place where Gemma can't find them. They believe this because Boo is overheard by Clay asking Piney 'have you see the letters'. She is in fact referring to the letters she received from the guys while they were inside - as well as photocopies of her own letters - as, before Bonnie's birth, she had intended to write a WW2 novel told entirely in a series of letters exchanged between a group of soldiers, their family and their wives. She wanted her letters to use as inspiration - especially since she was feeling totally detached from her abilities as a writer since Bonnie's birth - and she'd left the box of them at the clubhouse. Rather than ask Piney or Tara about it all, Clay decided to nip the situation in the bud and plans to get the letters from Boo before anybody else can get a chance to read them and use them against himself and Gemma. He finds a young homeless man in Lodi - who happens to be a Mexican - and convinces him to break into Boo and Chibs house, to find the letters and steal them. He offers a substantial reward and gives a date when he believes the house will be empty - Chibs will be on a run for the cartel, and Boo will be babysitting Opie and Layla's children. However, Boo isn't needed to babysit and is instead at home when the break in happens. She hears the man break in and, without even thinking about it, grabs her gun and goes to confront the intruder. Unfortunately for him he is carrying a gun and fires at her in a panic when he sees her. He misses, but Boo does not. She kills him with a single shot to the throat. Gemma comes rushing over when she hears - just as Boo is finished talking with the sheriff - as she had known of Clay's plans and had agreed to them. Thankfully Boo suspects nothing, she thinks it was just a normal break in, and while Gemma talks to her about what happened, she spots the box of letters on Boo's table. She asks about them, asking if they were the letters she was looking for at the clubhouse. Boo confirms they were and Gemma reports back to Clay. In the wake of the break in, Chibs has Juice install better security at his home, including cameras and alarms.

When Boo hears about the potential deal with the cartel, the drugs, she tells Chibs without hesitation that if he doesn't vote against it, she'll leave him. She knows just how dangerous the cartel will be and she wants no involvement with them. If the vote passes, she'll stay, so long as Chibs votes it down. Chibs of course agrees, assures her he feels the same way, that he doesn't want to put her and Bonnie at risk. When the vote passes it devastates Boo. She doesn't care about the money at all. She understands the danger they are now all in and she is terrified.

When Eli starts hounding Juice Boo and Chibs pick up on it. They invite him to stay at their home a little more in order to throw the sheriff off a little and give Juice a place to go where he feels safe. For Chibs it is also an extra layer of protection for Boo and Bonnie after the break-in. He takes them up on the offer and comes round more, however he doesn't confide in Boo or Chibs about his father. He does however find some inspiration that helps him when he is trying to steal a sample of coke for Potter. While Boo is out of the room feeding Bonnie, a true crime show about a bank robbery comes onto the TV. The robbery was a success as the security guard was tricked into leaving his post by the screams and pleads of a woman who was being attacked - the screams however were a recording and as the security guard searched for the 'woman' he was knocked out by the perpetrators. Inspired, Juice buys some cheap, battery powered Bluetooth speakers and rigs them up in the woods by the warehouse where the coke is being stored and plays some recordings of gunfire and men yelling that he fond online. Both sets of guards - Mayan and Son - go running out in search of the intruders and Juice slips in, takes what he needs and leaves. He tells the guards he managed to scare the 'intruders' away - after he stops the recording of course. He takes the speakers back before morning and is praised for his actions. He tells Clay the intruders were 'a bunch of kids' that were probably looking to cause trouble and get drunk on Elliots land.

While Juice doesn't kill Miles, his mental health of course still takes a massive hit. Especially after he sees the RICO war room. Chibs and Boo of course take note and are worried about him, but he still tries to hang himself - he knows his betrayal of the club means death and he knows RICO could crush the entire club, every charter and every member, and he struggles with that. Afterwards Chibs and Boo force him to stay with them, so Boo can keep an eye on him if nothing else, and he reveals to them both about his heritage. Like in the show, Chibs tells him it doesn't matter because his birth certificate doesn't say black. Boo confronts Chibs about it all after Juice goes to bed, furious that such a by-law still exists. He admits that it is outdated and wrong, but says he can do nothing about it. After Juice walks across the minefield without hesitation after the cartel shoot-out, Boo literally slaps him across the face and says he is being stupid and selfish. She is still struggling mentally herself and she can't help but take it out on Juice. After they both calm down, Boo and Juice agree to talk to one another more about their struggles and worries. Juice of course mentions nothing about RICO and talks mainly about the club and how they are a family to him, one he doesn't want to lose.

As things with the cartel heat up, Boo struggles more and more. Having Juice about helps, as does being there to support him with his struggles, but her postnatal depression and the horror of being connected to the cartel leaves her a paranoid and scared mess. Chibs can be of little comfort to her - he is always so busy with the club - and Boo finds herself spiralling, especially after what happens with SAMTAZ and the dumping of their heads at Teller Morrow - it shows how dangerous drugs and greed can be. Boo is there when the heads are dumped, and although she avoids the gunfire, she has a full-blown panic attack and has to be taken to hospital. After Tara's attempted kidnapping, Boo becomes convinced that the 'break in' was an attempt by the cartel to get the club on board, to vote in their deal. Nothing will convince her otherwise and she comes close to just packing up and leaving Charming. It is only her love for her father and husband that keeps her there. Chibs too, starts to suspect that the break in was cartel related and mentions this to Jax. The Mexican that broke in had no tattoos or markings so Jax doesn't believe this to be the case. Jax does not learn the true nature of the break in, even after finding out about the letters, and never does, so nor do Boo and Chibs.

When Wendy returns and visits Tara in hospital, Boo is in disbelief, as are Chibs and Tig. As far as they were concerned, Wendy was dead. Jax confirms that he lied to then, that he understood the danger Wendy was in after Abel's birth and he and Tara snuck Wendy out to treatment without anybody finding out. They allowed her a few short visits with Abel outside of Charming and then asked her to stay away, to let them be a family, as well as for her own safety. Wendy agreed at the time, but decided to come back after years in recovery and after hearing about what had happened in her absence. Despite what she did, despite her quarrels with Jax, Gemma and Tara over Abel, she and Boo are able to put their differences aside. Boo forgives Wendy, as do Chibs and Tig - although reluctantly.

Despite not really wanting the cartel money, Chibs and Boo decide to put it to good use. They carefully hide it away as instructed by Gemma, in safety deposit boxes and in safes, and have a very painful conversation about what might happen if things get too bad, too dangerous. They agree that Boo should leave Charming and that Chibs will send her almost all of the cartel money. They'd set her up somewhere far away, somewhere safe and near another charter but somewhat off the grid. They'd use some of Juice's contacts to give Boo a false identity so she can remain hidden. Chibs is torn about wanting to join her, but ultimately, they decide that he'd need to stay. For the love of his club, his brothers and for Boo and Bonnie's safety.

Tig and Boo's relationship might be a bit more distant, but Tig understands why, more than Boo can ever realise. He respects her boundaries and doesn't ever try and push her to be more or less than she wants to be. He is a caring and considerate father and grandfather, finding the time to spend with Boo and Bonnie despite everything else that is going on. He loves Bonnie deeply and does little things to help lift Boo's mood, without her even realising it, from encouraging any tiny creative idea she has regarding her writing to throwing his full support behind her and Rita's attempts to stop Charming heights. After Dawn's visit things improve between them, they grow close again and Boo finds that motherhood has given her a deeper appreciation of Tig and all he has done for her.

While Boo is struggling with her mental health, one thing she is able to get her head round is getting rid of Charming heights, about defending the gardens and Charming. She, like Gemma/Tara becomes an investor and helps Rita fight Hale. She and Rita become quite close as a result.

When Dawn comes in search of Tig, Boo is suspicious straight away. It has been years now since Tig saw his other daughters and Boo tells Tig that it is odd that Dawn has turned up now, when he suddenly has access to a lot of money. She doesn't confront Dawn, for Tig's sake, despite wanting too, and when Tig tells her he doesn't care that she is just after money, that he knows she'll be back for me, she softens, understanding that Tig just wants to see his baby girl. She lets Tig talk to her about his girls and starts to have some ideas on how he can get his daughters back into his life a bit more.

After Clay's attack of Gemma Boo realises his time as president will soon be over. She knows Jax won't stand for it and will force him out. She also knows that Chibs will likely take a higher position at the table under Jax's leadership. his understands this too and he and Boo have a conversation about what happened, with Chibs assuring Boo that he would expect nothing less than a bullet if he ever put his hands on her. Boo of course, knows he'd never do such a thing. They also talk about her mental health struggles and she agrees to get professional help, during which she is put on anti-depressants.

When Clay is shot by 'niners' Boo packs a bag and takes Bonnie to a hotel for a few nights, needing to clear her head and get to grips with all that is happening, away from the club and her husband and father. As a result, she isn't there at the hospital when Tig decides to leave and go after Laroy, and so isn't there as a voice of reason. She contemplates leaving Chibs and the club behind, as it is all just becoming too much, but she believes that under Jax's leadership, they'll get away from the cartel and the drugs. Ultimately, she calms down and returns to Charming early, Chibs greets her by handing her his new Sgt, at Arms patch, which she sews on for him. They both feel more hopeful with Jax in charge and are looking forward to life settling down and returning to normal.

So that was my basic plan for season 4. I know it is a bit all over the place but I hope you like the direction I was planning to take things in. With Boo, I didn't ever want her to have a major impact on the events of the show, at least not too much. The situation with Juice is one of the only things I'll be altering based on Boo's interference/presence. I know how his/that entire story line will now play out based on the fact that Boo especially saved Mile's life and saved Juice from killing a member.
