Ch 45
Gar and Raven opened the door to all their friends and family, who they were happy to see. They showed them around their home and introduced them to Lydia Rose and her husband. Everyone was socializing and having a good time.
"Thanks for helping us put this housewarming party together," said Gar to Lydia.
"It's no problem. I use to throw parties in my younger day," she said as her eyes roamed around the room. "You and Raven have really made a nice home here for yourselves."
"I totally agree Gar," said Vic. "I mean I was skeptical, but it really came together."
"Gee thanks buddy," he said as he noticed Silas in Vic's arms sleeping.
"You know there's a guest room down the hall from the bedroom. You could always put him down there to be more comfortable," he suggested.
"Gar, you don't mind if the twins rest in your guest room?" asked Karen, holding her daughter.
"No, of course not," smiled Gar as the couple left the living room with their children as Dick and Kory's child flew right into him. "Whoa there Nightstar!" he laughed as he caught her in his arms. "Flying's great, isn't it?" he asked as she laughed.
Dick sighed. "It's a gift and a curse," he smiled tiredly at his child as she flew into his arms. "Thanks for catching her Gar."
"No problem, she's very spirited."
"Like her mother," Dick said as his wife's arm's around him. "Hey, Kory."
"It's a great party Gar, everyone together like this," she smiled. "I wish it could always be that way."
"Sometimes I do to Kory but I wouldn't change what we all have right now. Life is good."
"Agreed," she said as she watched her daughter squirm in her father's arms. "I believe she is hungry. I will take her and feed her," she said as Dick handed her over to his wife but she escaped and flew away.
"Nightstar!" Dick yelled as he went after her with Kory. Gar couldn't help but laugh when Steve and Rita walked towards him.
"We're very happy for you Garfield and very proud," said Rita.
"Thanks, mom," he smiled. "I'm glad you both came."
"We wouldn't be anywhere else son," said Steve. "This is an important step in your and Raven's lives, and we support it wholeheartedly."
"Thanks, dad," he said as he looked around the room. "Have any of you seen Raven by any chance?"
"She said she needed some air," said Rita. "She's in the backyard."
Gar found his wife meditating in his garden. It had been a while since he'd seen her meditating, and he hoped everything was all right. "Raven?" he said softly, careful not to startle her.
She dropped her meditative pose and faced her husband. "I'm fine. I just needed some space. Even though I'm whole with my emotions, it doesn't mean I don't get overwhelmed with people's emotions."
"It turned out great, didn't it?"
"Yes," Raven smiled. "It's good to see everyone. I will miss them, but our life is here. I talked to Aunt Alice and uncle Jack. They're thinking about moving here as well to retire. They sold the bookstore/cafe to Jinx."
"Wow, that's great so will have some family nearby."
"Yes, it is somewhat comforting."
"Are you sure you're all right Rae?" he asked as he took her hand in his.
"We haven't been intimate since we left earth."
"So you were trying to seduce me that morning when I had to go off to work?"
Raven blushed. "I didn't say I was good at it but yes."
"You could have asked me to stay Rae. You know I would have, for you."
"I didn't think it would look good if you skipped work to take care of my needs," she blushed again.
"How about tonight?" asked Gar. "Everyone is just staying for the day so when they leave, I can take care of you."
"All right."
"Are you going to be ok until then?"
"I will Gar, so I promised our friends and family we'd show them the city of New Azarath."
"Sure, sounds like fun."
The couple took their friends and family to the zoo, where the children enjoyed seeing all the animals while their parents took lots of pictures. Afterward Raven took them to the library where her relatives explored the shelves while the parents and children relaxed at the tables with children's books they brought from home.
Coming back to the Logan home, they had lunch and reminisced about the past and looking towards the future. Gar and Raven looked around the table and smiled, thinking how lucky they were to have these people in their lives.
When the day was over, the couple said their goodbyes. Raven opened a portal for everyone to get home safe and sound. Walking back into their home, they started to clean up the place and making plans to visit earth one day to see their loved ones. Relaxing on the couch, the couple enjoyed the silence.
She moved her hands up and down his bare torso before she impaled herself on her husband's member, and she smiled, feeling complete with him inside her as she rode him for all he was worth. His sounds and her own sounds mixed together to make one lovely sound she would always remember. When she felt his warm, strong, claw-like hands hold onto her for dear life, she could feel his desire for her become stronger.
"O—oh GAR!" she screamed as she felt his release as well as her own. Feeling dizzy with ecstasy, Raven felt herself falling on top Gar's body as he welcomed her with open arms.
Gar could feel her body shake against his as he used his hands to rub her back, hoping to bring her body back into a calm state. Bringing the covers over their sweat-soaked bodies, he continued to move his hands against her skin in a soothing manner. "Ra—Raven, are you—?"
"Happy," she smiled, "deliriously Garfield. We—we really needed this," she said as she kissed his skin.
"I couldn't agree more," he said as he brought one of his hands to stroke her hair. "You were amazing by the way. You think we should have sex less often, so we can appreciate when it does happen?"
Raven looked into his eyes with a look that said, 'are you crazy?'
Gar laughed nervously. "I really should have kept my mouth shut on that huh Rae?"
"You think," she said as she lied her head back down on his chest.
"I love you, Raven," he said, his hands resting around her body while he took in her scent with his nose. "You smell good enough to eat by the way."
Raven felt herself becoming aroused, but she took a breath in and then out, realizing she was content like this for now. "I love you to Garfield, and I promise later we will continue. For now, let's enjoy this moment."
"Sounds good to me Rae," he said, pressing her tighter to his body while they were still inside each other.
"You love to cuddle too much Gar."
"I don't care. Nothing beats this Rae. I mean after everything that's happened in our lives, I never knew we would end up here so happy, so in love."
"Your parents would be so happy to see that saving your life wasn't in vain."
"I know they would love you, Rae. I'm content with that and now it's time to leave the past in our hearts and look towards the future."
"It's uncertain what it will hold Gar, but I'm glad we're going through it together."
"Yeah, but it's kind of exciting to see what will happen."
"True," Raven smiled as she lifted her head to face, "but for now I believe I promised we'd get back to it," she said as she was suddenly flipped over on her back to see the hungry eyes of her husband ready to pounce at any second, which excited her. "So, are you AH—!" she moaned as he filled her with everything she would ever need in life.
(The End)
