"I should have known they would sent you." Klaus said. "How is it going, Yuan?" Yuan has arrived with other members of Promin Academy. He came here under orders for one reason.

"I came here to apprehend a young girl named Zoey Baxter." Yuan said.

"I had a feeling that Promin would want her as well. She's right down there." Klaus said. Yuan had a look and saw Zoey was surrounded by three duelists from Promin Academy.

"What's going on? I thought I was the only one sent here to capture Zoey." Yuan said.

"She pulled the old switcheroo with one of our own named Siri, who I'm guess is going to become a traitor." Klaus said. "Those fools down there probably think that Zoey is Siri."

"I see. You're saying that there might be a traitor among our ranks?" Yuan said. "Where is she?"

"She's looking around for a man named Shun. She's apparently having doubts of Promin Academy and wants to learn the truth of what's going on. That could be a problem...for her." Klaus said. "She should know by now what we do with traitors."

"Indeed. You go and see if you can find her." Yuan said. "I'm going to follow my orders and bring Zoey to Promin." Klaus did what he was told as he began to leave the area.

'I'll do even better than that. As long as they don't know I'm with Promin Academy, I might be able to utilize what I learn here to our advantage.' Klaus thought. He's deceived Yukin and the others into thinking he can be their friend, but it's all a lie. As for Zoey, she's getting ready to face three opponents at once.

"This won't be easy, but I need to buy Siri some time." Zoey said. She knows it's not going to be easy to fight three opponents at once, but she has to do this. Before anyone could do anything, Yuan jumped down and showed himself. His arrival caused the other three to back off.

"Don't be fooled, boys. This isn't the girl you're looking for." Yuan said.

"Who are you?" Zoey said.

"You don't need to worry about who I am. All you need to know is that you're coming with me to meet Promin." Yuan said.

"Promin?" Zoey said. She remembered Siri mentioning him. From what she was told, Promin is not someone Zoey wants to meet. "Forget it. I'm not going anywhere with the likes of you."

"You might want to reconsider once I show you this." Yuan said as he pulled out a couple cards and tossed them to her. Zoey looked at what was on the cards and was horrified. She saw Alad and Alexa on it.

"Alad?! Alexa?!" Zoey said as she dropped to her knees. "What happened to them? Did you do this to them?"

"I needed a little exercise." Yuan said. He did it just for his own amusement. Zoey couldn't believe he could do such a thing.

"You're a monster." Zoey said.

"I've been called worse." Yuan said as he kept that grin on his face. "They're screams sounded quite lovely just before they went two-dimensional."

"You psycho!" Zoey said with much. "You think what you did was entertaining? Siri might regret helping this Promin academy, but I'm guessing you don't. You enjoy what you're doing, don't you? You're just plain awful!"

"Feisty... You're just like Brui and Rini." Yuan said.

"Did you just say Brui?!" Zoey said.

"You know her? Well, you'll be joining her and Rini soon enough." Yuan said.

"Yeah right. I'm not afraid of you." Zoey said as she was more than willing to fight.

"Oh, you will be." Yuan taunted. Yuan is clearly not like most duelists. He's more terrifying.

Yukin

Yukin was beginning to wake up. His head hurt, but he was feeling like himself again.

"Hey! He's waking up!" Siegrain called. Yukin fully woke up and sat up. When he did, he was met with Siegrain, Reese, and Drewsin.

"Yukin, my dear!" Lana called as she hugged him from behind. "I am so glad to see that you're okay."

"What happened?" Yukin asked.

"You were dueling earlier. When you won, you got caught in an accident." Siegrain said. "What happened before that... Well, I was hoping that maybe you could tell us."

"Here, Yukin." Reese said as he handed Yukin some stew that he made. "Eat this. You're going to need to get some of your strength back."

"Thanks, Reese." Yukin said as he took it.

"We're all glad to see that you're okay." Drewsin said. That was when Yukin realized that Drewsin was awake.

"Drewsin?! When did you wake up?!" Yukin said.

"A little while ago." Drewsin said. "I could somehow sense that you were struggling. I could feel all of your pain and anger. When I woke up, I tried to find you as fast as you could. You were taking on three duelists from Promin Academy."

"Yeah... Yeah, it's starting to come back to me." Yukin said. "I saw what they did. I saw them turn three other duelists into cards."

"Say what?" Siegrain said as none of the others understood. Drewsin was the only one that really did.

"Drewsin... Everything you told me and Zoey is true, isn't it?" Yukin said.

"I'm afraid that it is. I don't know what you saw, but what you did see was just a small portion of what is going on back at my home." Drewsin said.

"And there's also Soto." Yukin said.

"Soto? What about him?" Siegrain asked.

"He's back, but I don't think that's really a good thing." Yukin said. "I'm starting to believe Soto isn't the person we thought he was. He still wants payback at Shun for beating him. They could be dueling right now."

"That's not good. Shun could be in real trouble." Drewsin said. "We need to find them before anything can really happen."

"You're right. We should also find Zoey." Yukin said. "I'm worried about her being out there by herself. We need to find Zoey to make sure she's safe, and we need to find Soto before he does something he'll end up regretting. Reese and Lana, can you help us? This is serious."

"Of course." Reese said.

"I don't like helping my love rival, but I wouldn't want anything too bad to happen to her. I'll help." Lana said. That's all good to hear. If what Yukin heard about Promin Academy is completely true, Merge City could be in real danger, as well as everyone that lives in it.

...

The Arena

Since they couldn't see the battle royale going on, the audience had the finals of the youth division going on. Nathan was dueling against Ristly. Ristly had his Tech Amp Cruiser Megalodon synchro monster and his Tech Amp Rocket Condor. Nathan had a total of three monsters. He had Red Gadget, Green Gadget, and Yellow Gadget

"It's my turn!" Nathan said as he drew a card and it was a powerful one. "Yes! By sacrificing three machine-type monsters, I can special summon this guy! I sacrifice Red Gadget, Green Gadget, and Yellow Gadget to summon Mega Battlebot-XL!" Nathan released all three monsters and summoned out a giant blue robot with it having 2800atk points.

"Wow! It looks like Nathan is bringing out the big bots now!" Nemo announced.

"Go, Nathan!" Alyssa cheered.

"Yeah! Win it for True Duel!" Eli cheered.

"Since three machines were used to summon him, his special ability allows me to destroy one monster on the field!" Nathan said. "Fire your lasers and destroy that megalodon!" Laser cannons appeared on the shoulders and blasted the megalodon. "Mega Battlebot-XL, destroy his Rocket Condor!" His robot fired lasers again and blasted Rocket Condor with Ristly's life points dropping to 1200.

"Yes! Another good attack like that and Nathan wins!" Augustus said as they were all excited to see him win.

"It's my turn." Ristly said as he drew his next card. "I summon Tech Amp Racer Horse to the field." He summoned out a brown horse with robotic armor as it ran out with 1600atk points. "With that done, I'm activating Tech Amp Fusion. I can now fusion summon a Tech Amp monster."

"No way! You can fusion summon as well?!" Nathan said. It was impressive that someone so young could do this.

"Tech Amp Fusion also allows me to fusion summon using your monsters as a substitute." Ristly said. "I can do that if the monster I summon is weaker than yours."

"Are you kidding me?!" Nathan said as he couldn't believe that.

"I now fuse Tech Amp Racer Horse with your Mega Battlebot-XL." Ristly said. Both monsters were being pulled together as they began to fuse together. "I fusion summon Tech Amp Wrecker Elephant." He summoned out an elephant in armor with a wrecking ball on its trunk came out with it having 2700atk points. "Tech Amp Wrecker Elephant, attack him directly." The elephant swung the wrecking ball around and smashed it against Nathan with the last of his life points lost.

"It's over! Ristly won the youth division of the Junior Champion League!" Nemo announced as everyone cheered for them. Nathan was disappointed he lost, but he still got second place and did True Duel proud. Renji and his mother saw the duel unfold.

"Well done, Ristly." Renji said as he was quite proud of him.

"Out of the way! Let me through!" Sylvester busted his way into Renji's private section.

"What do you want? Don't tell me you're here to try and get back in the tournament. You lost." Miss Abarin said.

"No, but if you are offering, I might take it." Sylvester said. "I like to know what the heck is going on out there. Again, I'll take the offer to get back in if you are offering. I'm not leaving without some sort of explanation as to what the heck is going on."

"Actually, you might be able to help us with something." Renji said.

Yukin

Once Yukin was well enough to move, he and the others went to look for Soto and Zoey. Yukin went looking with Drewsin and Siegrain. They knew they needed to find the others fast.

"Yukin!" The three of them turned around and they saw Klaus.

"Klaus? What are you doing here?" Yukin said.

"I was just looking around for my next opponent like you. I see you and these two have decided to go together." Klaus said.

"Yukin, who is this guy?" Siegrain said.

"His name is Klaus. He helped me out earlier." Yukin said.

"We don't have time for this tournament of yours. We need to find Shun fast." Drewsin said.

"Is there a problem?" Klaus asked.

"Maybe. Do you remember another guy who competed for True Duel? His name is Soto, and he's looking for Shun. We think there's trouble going on." Yukin said. "While we're looking for him, a couple friends of ours are looking for Zoey."

"Are you saying they could in danger?" Klaus said. "I'm sure things will be fine. This Soto did lose in his duel"

"Not really. We don't know what he's really up to. All we do know is that it isn't good." Yukin said. "We need to find our friends before anything happens. You wouldn't happen to know anything, would you?"

"Can't say that I do, but I will help." Klaus said.

"Thanks. We better get moving." Yukin said as the three of them hurried.

'Try all you like, but with Yuan around, Zoey will be long gone.' Klaus thought. Things aren't looking good here.

...

Shun

As for Shun and Soto, they dueled each other. Soto was fighting with a vengeance. Shun was fighting for those who have fallen. It was an intense duel. Shun had his Battlize-Raptor Burning Falcon. Soto had his Phantom Dancer on the field. The bad part was that it was Soto's turn.

"You won't win. I won't lose to you." Shun said as he refused to lose to someone from Promin Academy.

"Oh please. I'll show you how powerless you really are." Soto said. "It's my turn!" He drew his next card and it was just the card he wanted. "I play Polymerization! With that, I'll fuse my Phantom Dancer with Elegant Dancer Harry Foxtrot that's in my hand!" The two monsters came out and they began to fuse together. "Dancer of mystery and dancer of elegance, these two will make this your final dance! I fusion summon Phantom Dancer Hollow Vamp!" Soto summoned out a new fusion monster that was dressed in black and orange elegant clothes, like a vampire. He also wore a crimson mask over his face with 3000atk points. As they were dueling, Siri showed up by luck and saw them. "It's over, Shun!"

"That's Shun?!" Siri said.

"I activate Hollow Vamp's ability! By sending one card in my hand to the graveyard, he can destroy one card on the field!" Soto said as he discarded a card. His dancer unleashed a flurry of bats from his cape and destroyed Shun's Burning Falcon, his only monster.

"Oh no!" Shun said.

"Attack, Hollow Vamp! Destroy him! Crush his spirit, as well as everything he fights for!" Soto said with insanity. Hollow Vamp unleashed a series of ghost-like attacks and blasted Shun hard as he lost all of his life points. He flew by Siri with him hitting the ground and seemed hurt.

"Oh no. How will I get the truth now?" Siri said as her one chance might be gone.
