Playing Matchmaker
"Wait, Lisa!" Rafael called.
Lisa turned to face her beau, "What is it, Rafa Darling?" she asked.
"We mustn't act out of fury," Rafael said to Lisa. "Romina is just looking for love since she hasn't gotten over me..."
"You think that you and I should get Romina together with someone else? Genius! I know just the guy!" Lisa said to Rafael.
Lisa and Rafael looked at one another.
"Valentino!" Rafael and Lisa exclaimed in unison.
Lisa climbed into Rafael's sidecar while Rafael climbed onto his motorcycle.
Off they went to the camp of the Carlino clan.
Lisa and Rafael picked Valentino up.
Valentino then followed Rafael on his own motorcycle.
On their way to the Blue Star clan's camp in Bluebonnet Valley, a thought struck Lisa.
"Rafa, I know that it's his birthday and that Don Jose and his family are good friends of your family, but are you sure that going there tonight is such a good idea? I mean, it's barely been two days since our brush with Romina." Lisa said
"Don't worry, Romina won't try anything in the middle of her own camp, besides I have a plan, that's why Valentino is with us." Rafael said to Lisa.
Lisa looked over at Valentino who was riding next them on his own motorcycle and shivered a little.
"Yes, and I hope it works!" Lisa said to Rafael, she was worried.
"You worry too much, my dear, my plan will work." Rafael said to Lisa.
That evening at the Blue Star clan's camp, Romina was spinning and twirling, doing her personally choreographed birthday dance, suddenly in mid-spin she tripped over Valentino's foot and went sprawling.
"Hey you big ox, what's the idea of sitting there with your feet stuck out in the middle of my dance floor?" Romina asked Valentino haughtily.
"The middle of your dance floor? This is the far side of the whole square!" Valentino countered.
Romina sniffed arrogantly.
"Wherever I am is the center of the dance floor." Romina said to Valentino.
"Oh, get over yourself, Miss Snooty." Valentino snapped at Romina.
"How arrogant!" Romina snapped back at Valentino.
The argument continued as everyone broke up in the square and went to have cake and ice cream.
Rafael grinned as he and Lisa went to get some food.
"Think it'll last?" Rafael asked Lisa.
Lisa snickered as she walked by Rafael's side.
"Oh, Rafael, it's a match made in heaven," Lisa said in agreement with her own boyfriend. "if ever two people deserved each other, Valentino and Romina do."
