"Are you sure you didn't just drop it?" Jack questioned, as Kali gave him a look of disbelief.

After trekking through the jungle and showing Jack and Kate the guns, Kali had realised that her own weapon was missing. And she had no doubt in her mind what had happened to the gun either.

"It's a loaded pistol, Jack. It's not exactly going to fall out of my pocket" Kali grumbled, picking up her pace, as they rushed towards the hatch.

"Do you think it was Ana Lucia? She had a run-in with 'Henry' a few days ago" Kate pointed out, but Kali shook her head.

"It was Michael" Kali insisted, earning a frown from the others.

"Why would Michael want your gun?" Jack questioned.

"I don't think they've told us the truth about what happened to them out there. They seem…different" Kali explained, but Jack still wasn't convinced.

"Maybe Michael just wanted the added protection—" Kate began, but was cut off by an angry Sawyer.

"Let's stop pretending he's some saint. If Michael wanted a gun, it doesn't mean anything good" Sawyer retorted.

"Since when do you have something against Michael?" Kate inquired, confused.

"Since he almost got Kali drowned while we were on the raft" Sawyer muttered, charging through the jungle, the memory causing anger to sear through his veins.

"He what?!" Jack cried, with wide eyes.

"After the raft got blown up, I saved him. Dragged him onto a bit of bamboo, but it started to sink…and he wouldn't help me up" Kali informed them, as Jack's lips grew back in a snarl.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Kate queried, horrified.

"I guess…I was worried you wouldn't believe me" Kali admitted, surprised by her own words.

"Why wouldn't we believe you?" Kate frowned, as Kali averted her gaze.

"Look, we don't have time for this. The hatch should be coming up soon, get your guns out" Kali warned.

"You think he'd attack us?" Kate gaped, hearing Sawyer scoff from in front.

"I'd like to see the son of a bitch try" Sawyer stated, his gun already in his hand.

None of them had been expecting what they found outside the hatch, least of all Kali. Boone was laying outside the hatch door, clutching at his shoulder, his shirt stained with blood. He appeared barely conscious as Jack rushed over to him, in a panic. Kali felt frozen to the spot, a sinking feeling growing in her stomach. What the hell had happened?

"Boone!" Jack exclaimed, placing his hand against the wound, jerking the younger man awake.

"H-he shot me. He took him…they're gone" Boone stuttered, as Kali and Sawyer shared a look.

Before anyone could stop her, Kali was sprinting into the hatch, almost slipping on the floor as she turned a corner. She came to a sudden halt when she saw a body on the floor not far from the armoury and crouched to the ground. She gasped when she saw it was Libby, dried blood pooled all around her.

"Libby? Libby?!" Kali cried, shaking the blonde's shoulder.

As she used a jaw-thrust to open Libby's airway, she could feel the bones in her neck crackling under her hand. She felt around the delicate skin, as bile rose in her throat, realising Libby's neck was all but shattered. She would have died instantly.

"I'm sorry" Kali sighed, closing Libby's eyes, her chest feeling tight with guilt.

She should have never left them. She knew something was wrong. Why didn't she stop them?

"Kali! Ana's been shot too!" A panicked shout came from Kate, as Kali's head snapped up.

She hadn't even registered Kate running past her, finding a slumped Ana Lucia on the nearby couch. Kali rushed over to the pair, reaching out to try to feel for a pulse, but found nothing. Her eyes flickered to the bloody shirt that Ana was wearing and could tell she had been shot from the bullet-shaped hole. Killed by Kali's own gun.

"Help me get her…" Kali trailed off, as she lifted Ana's arm, wanting to pull her to the floor to perform CPR.

"What's wrong?" Kate asked, seeing how Kali had come to halt.

Kali grimaced as she felt how cold Ana's skin was, her arm already stiffening from rigor mortis. She had been dead for some time, Kali realised. She whipped around as she heard Boone's pain cries, watching Jack and Sawyer drag him towards them, dropping him into the nearby booth. Kali's hands balled into fists as she pushed herself to her feet. Michael didn't kill Libby. And she wasn't convinced Boone had either.

"Are they dead?" Boone questioned, with wide eyes.

"What happened, man?" Jack inquired, as Boone dropped his head into his hands.

"I…I heard gunshots. I had been asleep and when I came out—" Boone was cut off.

"Bullshit!" Kali yelled, as Boone's head snapped up.

"If I had—" Boone began, unable to finish his sentence as hands were suddenly grabbing his shirt, hauling him upright.

A pained groan left his lips as he was thrown into the wall, followed by a cold hand wrapping around his neck. His eyes connected with Kali's, a murderous rage behind them he had never seen before. His hands clawed at her arm, but she only pressed harder, making it difficult for him to breathe.

"You fucking liar!" Kali growled, banging his head against the wall, shocking the rest of the group.

"Kali, what the hell are you doing?" Jack gaped.

"Tell them what you did, Boone! Tell them!" Kali screamed.

"I don't…know what you're…talking about…" Boone panted, as Kali felt a hand touch her shoulder.

"Don't, Kali" Sawyer exclaimed, trying to pull her away.

"He was part of this! He killed them…answer me!" Kali insisted, but Boone's lips stayed close.

With a snarl, Kali moved her hand, reaching down to press two of her fingers into Boone's bullet wound, as he let out a howl of pain. His whole arm felt like it was on fire, every nerve screaming in pain as she pressed harder. Sawyer's eyes widened as he watched her do this, in too much shock to pull her back.

"Stop lying!" Kali screeched, as Boone looked like he was about to pass out.

With a shake of his head, Sawyer wrapped his arm around Kali's waist, having to physically pull her off the wounded man. She fought against him for a few seconds, but quickly began to calm down as Sawyer held her close, practically cradling her in his arms. Boone slumped down the wall, crying out in pain as he clutched at his shoulder, fresh blood dripping down his fingers.

"You know…your more like your brother than you realise" Boone spat out, his eyes connecting with Kali's.

"He was here?" Sawyer realised, a rare look of fear flashing over his features.

"You'll find out soon enough anyway. We weren't allowed to kill Locke" Boone murmured, ushering over to the unconscious man on the floor, as Jack rushed over to him.

"What do you mean allowed?" Kate asked, completely confused.

"You really don't have a clue, do you?" Boone scoffed, as Sawyer slowly released Kali.

"What the fuck happened to you?" Kali questioned, with a look of disgust.

"I was kidnapped! Days locked in a cage! My sister was murdered, and you all did nothing!" Boone yelled, angrily.

"So you turn on us?" Sawyer exclaimed.

"Call it survival of the fittest" Boone retorted, as Kali grit her teeth.

"You killed Ana Lucia?" She inquired, watching Jack's head snap up.

"Yes…and I'd do it again," Boone said, spitting on the floor.

"What about Libby?" Sawyer queried.

"That was Michael" Boone mumbled, looking uncomfortable.

"Her neck was snapped. Michael didn't do that" Kali insisted.

"Ken was putting her out of her misery—" Boone began, but was cut off by Kali's harsh scoff.

"Yeah, he used to use that excuse on me too" Kali muttered, darkly.

"I don't understand. Why would your brother kill Libby? Why would he take Ben?" Kate frowned, hearing Boone chuckle.

"Aren't you going to tell her, Kali? Or should I—" Boone began, but never finished his sentence, as Kali sent a hard kick to his head, knocking him out cold.

"I think we'd all heard enough" Kali grimaced, as Boone flopped to the floor.

"That's not your call" Jack stated, pushing himself to his feet.

"Jack, what are you doing?" Kate inquired, watching him pull his gun out, walking towards the exit.

"I'm going after them" Jack announced, as Kali gave him a look of disbelief.

"You can't!" She cried.

"They killed two of our people!" Jack yelled, gripping his gun tightly.

"Don't make it a third!" Kali exclaimed, as silence washed over the group.

"…We need to take care of Locke…and get Hurley here" Kali insisted, trying to calm herself.

"Why Hurley?" Kate asked, watching the younger girl run a hand over her face.

"He liked Libby. He needs to say goodbye" Kali sighed.

Kali grimaced as she could hear Hurley crying from the bunks after they had laid out Libby's body there. She sat at the booth near the kitchen, looking down at her shaky hands, seeing the specks of blood covering her palms. She had lost it. Like she always did when it came to her brother.

"Don't" Sawyer's voice boomed from her side, as she looked up at him.

"Don't listen to what Boone said" Sawyer clarified, coming to sit next to her.

"That's not me…it's not me…" Kali trailed off, her bottom lip wobbling.

"I know. It's okay…shh" Sawyer soothed, as a tear dropped down Kali's cheek.

"I don't want to be like him" Kali cried, as Sawyer shook his head, before pulling her into his arms, cradling her head to his chest.

"You're nothing like him. You hear me?" Sawyer told her, as she quietly sobbed, holding onto him.

"…They're gonna find out. Who I am" Kali mumbled, as Sawyer brushed his hand through her hair.

"It'll be alright, blue eyes" Sawyer soothed.

"They won't understand" Kali exclaimed, quietly.

"Then we'll leave. Find somewhere else on this damn island. Just the two of us" Sawyer replied.

"I'm sorry" Kali sniffled, pulling away so she could look him in the eyes.

"For what?" Sawyer frowned.

"For whatever happens next. For bringing my brother to this island" Kali went on, as he leaned forward to press a kiss against her forehead.

"We stick together and we'll get through this" Sawyer insisted, letting their foreheads touch for a moment.

"They told me your brother killed her" Hurley's voice announced, making the pair flinch.

"Hurley…I…I'm so sorry…" Kali stuttered; not sure what else she could say.

"I'm glad you're both alright" Hurley nodded, before he turned back towards the bunks.

Kali cringed at his kind words, thinking how she didn't deserve it. If it wasn't for her, both of the women would still be alive.

Boone fidgeted nervously from where he was trapped inside a large metal cage, running a hand through his hair. He wasn't sure how many days it had been since he was kidnapped, as they all seemed to roll into one. They hadn't given him anything to drink all day, and he could already tell how it was beginning to affect his mind. If he didn't know any better the man in the opposite cage was staring at him…

"What are you doing?" Boone spoke up, his eyes connecting with the black-haired man.

"What, we're not having a staring contest?" The man replied, as Boone quickly recognised his voice.

"…Wait, you're that guy. The man that spoke to me on the intercom when I first came here" Boone realised.

"And if I remember correctly, you told me to fuck off after" The man scoffed.

"You threatened to kill my step-sister" Boone stated, in disbelief.

"Is that not how people greet each other nowadays?" The man frowned.

"You're really not one of these people?" Boone asked, after a few seconds.

"Please, give me some credit" The man muttered, as they heard footsteps from nearby, causing the other man to stand up quickly.

A grin grew over the man's lips as he spotted a familiar blonde, a sandwich in her hands, little toothpicks keeping it in place. Boone watched the interaction with interest, having not seen a woman in the group before.

"Hello Clarice" The man smirked, sending the blonde a wink, as she rolled her eyes.

"Hello, Ken. I brought cheese today" The blonde nodded, with amusement.

"You spoil me, Juliet" Ken grinned, clapping his hands together as he came to stand by the metal bars.

"No funny business" Juliet warned, as she went to hand him the sandwich through the bars.

"Of course not" Ken beamed, with a charming smile, holding out his hand.

"Anything you want to tell me today? Perhaps why Ben kidnapped you and brought you to this island in the first place?" Juliet questioned, as Ken took a bite out of the sandwich.

"Concerned as to why your great leader hasn't told you people a thing about me?" Ken questioned, quirking an eyebrow.

"I'll take that as a no" Juliet sighed, turning on her heel.

"…He didn't kidnap me" Ken exclaimed, causing her to frown and turn back to him.

"I wanted him to bring me here" Ken clarified, confusing Juliet.

"And why would you want that?" Juliet asked, crossing her arms.

"Family reunion" Ken smirked, as Juliet opened her mouth, but was cut off by another voice.

"Juliet!" Ben shouted, making the blonde jump, and back up a step.

"I told you, no one is to talk to the prisoner except for me" Ben ordered, storming over to them.

"Sounds like your leash is being pulled" Ken murmured, as Juliet pursed her lips, but did as Ben told her, beginning to walk away.

"Planning another escape?" Ben guessed, making the younger man scoff.

"I'm right where I want to be, Benny" Ken informed him, as Ben's eye twitched.

"You're not to talk to her anymore" Ben insisted, causing Ken to laugh.

"I get all tingly when you take control like that" Ken teased, as Ben rolled his eyes.

"Is everything a joke to you?" Ben accused.

"Hmm, generally" Ken shrugged, dismissively.

"Your sister's planning on leaving the island. Built herself a raft, it could even work" Ben told Ken, watching as he analysed this information.

"Something tells me she's not gonna' get very far, is she?" Ken said, tilting his head.

"We plan to sink the raft. Let's hope for your sake she doesn't get caught in the crossfire" Ben suggested, with a slight smirk.

"You lay a hand on my sister and I'll rip out your spine" Ken replied, his eyes boring into Ben's wide ones.

"And how exactly will you do that from locked in your cage?" Ben exclaimed.

"Oh, I'd bide my time. It might takes days, weeks even. But I'll get out of here. We both know it" Ken told him, as Ben grit his teeth.

"Have fun surviving the next day without water" Ben hissed, turning on his heel.

"Thanks for stopping by" Ken grinned, watching the shorter man walk away.

Boone's hands had balled into fists as he listened to the conversation, growing angrier by the second. Kali was leaving the island? How many days had it been? Four, five? Did they all care for him that little?

"Wake up!" A sharp voice interrupted Boone's walk down memory lane, as he was jerked awake.

"What is this?" Jack questioned, shoving a piece of paper in Boone's face, who simply shrugged.

"Shepard. Austen. Ford. Reyes. Why are our names on this list?" Jack insisted, having found the paper in Boone's trousers while he had been unconscious.

"Ben wants us to bring you to the docks. Those are the people he wants there" Boone clarified.

"Why aren't I on the list?" Kali frowned.

"Because not everything is about you, Kali" Boone scoffed, making her roll her eyes.

"What happens if you don't bring us there?" Kate inquired.

"We won't have to find out. You'll be coming with me" Boone stated, making Sawyer scoff.

"And why the hell would we do that, Jekyll?" Sawyer muttered.

"Wait and see" Boone shrugged, with a small smirk.

"How about I have a rummage against inside your shoulder, we'll see how quiet you are then" Kali sneered, watching Boone tense up.

"We're not torturing anyone, Kali" Jack told her, firmly.

"I was just throwing out ideas" Kali mumbled, crossing her arms.

"I was just throwing out ideas" Ken exclaimed, lying back on his hands.

"I'm not killing anyone, Ken" Boone stated, not sure whether Ken had been lying when he suggested it.

"Buzzkill" Ken scoffed, standing up.

"What are you doing?" Boone frowned, as Ken backed up a few steps, an idea clearly forming in his mind.

"Plan B" Ken smirked, before he rushed forward, slamming his head into the metal bars.

"What the fuck, man?" Boone cried, with wide eyes.

"Just play along, Bone" Ken replied, as blood began to run down from his forehead.

"It's Boone!" He hissed.

"Well, someone woke up on the wrong side of the cage this morning" Ken rolled his eyes, as he gripped onto the metal bars.

"Now, this one's really gonna' hurt…" He trailed off, before slamming his cheek into the metal.

Thirty minutes later, Juliet arrived, a sandwich in her hand as always, but she soon dropped it to the floor when she saw the state Ken was in. She rushed forward, letting out a gasp when she saw the blood dripping down Ken's face, from where he was slumped against the metal bars.

"What happened?" Juliet gaped.

"Ben…I guess my smart mouth finally got the better of me" Ken grimaced.

"This has gone on long enough. I'll talk to him…I'll talk to the others. They need to know what's been happening here" Juliet shook her head, horrified.

"You're an Angel, Juliet" Ken mumbled, seeing her sprint away in his peripheral vision.

"…You really think they'll let us out of these cages?" Boone questioned, a few moments later, in a hushed voice.

"Trust me. I can be very persuasive" Ken smirked, wiping away at some blood that had dripped into his eyes.

Boone found himself wishing that Ken was there, but he knew that wasn't part of the plan. He needed to play his cards close to his chest if he ever wanted to get off the island. If he ever wanted to see Shannon again. Ken could understand that better than most. He only hoped he would eventually be forgiven for what he would have to do.

"This is a bad idea" Boone muttered, but he could tell Ken was no longer listening.

Ken's plan had worked perfectly. They had been released later that afternoon, Ken's injuries earning him a sympathy vote. While Ben was adamant he hadn't laid a finger on Ken, no one believed, least of all Juliet. Whatever Ken's past was, Ben didn't seem to want to tell anyone the full extent. If the man was so bad, Boone couldn't help but wonder why Ben had brought him to the island? Boone may not have trusted Ken, but they had the same goal. Get the people they cared about and leave the island. Finding out that Kali was Ken's sister was a shock to say the least, but anytime Boone tried to find out more, Ken shot him down. And Boone knew far better than to push the man. All he knew that the last time the siblings saw each other they had a fight that had more or less destroyed whatever relationship they had. Boone felt that he could relate to that.

"We won't get too close" Ken replied, as they slowly walked through the thick undergrowth of the jungle.

"They said to follow the trail of the people on the raft. Not to interact" Boone reminded him, as Ken shook his head.

"I just want to see her. Just once, okay?" Ken asked, giving Boone a puppy dog look.

"Goddamn it. Alright, only for a second, yeah?" Boone questioned, as a grin spread over Ken's lips.

"Works everytime" Ken smirked, earning a quick eye roll from Boone.

They snuck close to where they knew the group had found refuge with the survivors from the other end of the plane. How the Others knew so much about everyone's whereabouts still remained a mystery to Boone. His eyes widened as he spotted Kali on a log, with Sawyer right beside her, conversing happily. His jaw tensed as he saw the way Sawyer leaned in a little, a blush rising on her cheeks. It certainly didn't take her long to move on, Boone thought to himself.

"She looks like Mum" Ken mumbled, under his breath, a strange look on his face.

Ken ran a hand over his face, taking a deep breath, looking like he wanted to do nothing more than sprint out of the bushes they were crouching in. It was then that Boone realised something.

"You miss her" He stated, watching Ken stiffen.

"She's all I've got left…" Ken trailed off, when they saw a tall man walk over to the pair.

"Billy" Ken mumbled, a beaming grin spreading over his lips.

"You know that guy?" Boone inquired, making Ken chuckle.

"He's my…my friend" Ken exclaimed, watching Kali push herself up from the log, walking in the opposite direction to the crouching men, as she disappeared in the undergrowth.

Boone noticed the way Ken tensed as if he was about to set off running. Boone's eyes widened as Ken went to stand up, making himself more visible. Boone grabbed his shoulder, pulling him back down as he realised what the other man's plan was.

"Don't" Boone hissed.

"I just want to talk to her. I can make her understand—" Ken began, but Boone cut him off.

"If Ben finds out we talked to them, we're both dead!" Boone insisted.

"I don't fucking care what Ben wants. That's my sister!" Ken retorted, far too loud.

"We can't trust her! She'll tell the others we're here; she'll tell Sawyer!" Boone argued, as Ken grit his teeth.

"…She needs me. She doesn't realise it, but she does" Ken told him, as Boone shook his head.

"Are you sure it's not the other way round?" Boone pointed out, watching Ken's jaw tense.

He then shoved Boone's hand off his shoulder roughly, causing the man to tip over, as a twig snapped from underneath him. Boone held his breath as they watched Sawyer's head snap up, his eyes narrowed as he looked directly at the undergrowth they were hiding in. A second later, Kali was walking up behind him, startling Sawyer enough to distract him, as Boone and Ken made a speedy getaway.

"You still haven't told us why your brother's doing this. Or why he's even here in the first place" Jack complained to Kali, bringing Boone out of his thoughts.

"I will. I promise. But we need to bury Libby and Ana Lucia. After this is all over…I'll tell you guys everything" Kali sighed, as Jack pursed his lips.

"Just…don't wait too long" Jack murmured, placing his hand on her shoulder, before walking away, heading towards the beach where they would bury the fallen members of their group.

"Do you plan to bury Shannon's murderer on top of her?" Boone asked, as Kali's eyes snapped to his.

"I hated her. Ana Lucia. But she didn't deserve to die. Not by your hands" Kali exclaimed, as Boone straightened his back.

"Oh, I didn't hate her. I felt nothing for her really. It's you I hate" Boone told her, making Kali frown.

"Have you forgotten the fact that I saved your life?" Kali scoffed.

"And then you forgot all about me? You let Shannon die!" Boone insisted, as Kali shook her head.

"I tried to look out for her. That's not on me" Kali retorted.

"Is that what you said about your sister too? Is it not your fault she died?" Boone questioned, watching pain flash across Kali's face.

"…You're the one who should be dead. Not Shannon" Kali spat out, before storming away.

Boone could feel the hard wooden surface of the floor bruising his knees as he stayed motionless. He had fallen to the floor over twenty minutes ago and wasn't sure if he would ever be able to get up again. He knew something was wrong when Ben approached him, asking for Boone to join him in his house. They were only just starting to be allowed to interact with the others in the group, making the request seem very strange. Ben had insisted that Boone take a seat, but if there was one thing Boone had picked up from Ken in the past couple of weeks, it was how to be stubborn. Now, he was wishing he wasn't.

"It can't be…it can't be true…" Boone mumbled from under his breath, as he felt someone touch his shoulder.

"I spoke to some of the Others. They saw it with their own eyes. Your sister's been buried. She died days ago" Ken explained, as Boone shook his head vehemently.

"No! I would know…I would have felt something!" Boone cried, looking close to hyperventilating.

"I'm sorry, Boone. She's gone" Ken insisted, as Boone shrugged him away, pushing himself to his feet.

"No, she's not! You don't get it…we were…I was supposed to protect her! That's my job, that's always been my job!" Boone shouted.

"It's alright, it's okay…" Ken trailed off, holding onto Boone's shaking shoulders.

"She can't be gone. She can't" Boone sobbed, his eyes welling with tears.

"Just let it out, man. Let it all out" Ken told him, squeezing his shoulders.

"What happened?" Boone questioned, with wide eyes.

"One of the survivors from the tail section of the plane. The dark-haired woman we saw…they said it was an accident—" Ken began, but Boone cut him off.

"An accident?! She killed her, she…she murdered her!" Boone insisted, angrily.

"I know" Ken sighed, watching as tears started to fall down Boone's cheeks.

He pulled Boone into a hug a second later, wrapping his strong arms around his shoulders. Boone tried to push him away, but he didn't have the strength. Before he knew it he was practically clinging to Ken for dear life, like he was the only tether he had.

"What do you want me to do, Boone? Just tell me and I'll do it" Ken exclaimed, as Boone sniffled.

"…I want her dead. I want her to suffer" Boone replied, surprised by his own words.

"Consider it done" Ken replied, darkly.

"What…what am I gonna' do? I don't…I don't know how to be without her" Boone stuttered.

"You've still got me. I'm not going anywhere" Ken told him, feeling Boone cling to him a little tighter, as a smile grew on Ken's lips, unseen by Boone.

Kali felt sick as the funeral for Libby and Ana Lucia began. All the rest of the group had been told was that, for unknown reasons Michael and Boone had shot the pair, leaving out the information that Kali's brother had been involved. Jack still trusted her, that was clear. But maybe he should have, Kali thought to herself. She shouldn't have even been at the funeral, it felt almost disrespectful in a way. The two women would still be alive if it wasn't for her, for her brother. Even Boone was her fault now. If she hadn't saved him…

"Ana Lucia Cortez was…before we crashed she was a police officer. I don't think it was easy for her being here. But I think she did the best she could. She was a woman of few words, and I'm going to follow her example. Rest in peace, Ana" Jack announced, in a stoic tone, taking a step back for Hurley to say his piece.

"Libby was…she was…she…Libby was a psychologist, or psychiatrist – one of those. Either way, she probably helped a lot of people…She helped me. She was my friend. It's not fair that this happened to her. It's not" Hurley cried, as Kali look down to her feet, tears pricking at her eyes.

She felt Sawyer's hand intertwine with her own a second later, as he gave her a comforting squeeze. He knew how hard it was for her being there. The guilt was evident on her face.

"Goodbye Libby" Hurley sobbed, as Sawyer brought Kali closer to him, moving his arm to wrap around her shoulder.

"Boat!" Sun announced, as everyone turned to her in confusion.

"Boat!" She repeated, pointing towards the waves, as Kali's jaw dropped open.

She couldn't believe her eyes when she saw a sailboat not far off the coast and froze for a moment. Were they about to be rescued…or did they need to duck for cover? The group began shouting and waving their arms about, trying to get the sailor's attention, but the boat didn't change direction. In fact, Kali realised, it didn't seem to be going anywhere. Her forehead wrinkled as she watched Sawyer, Jack and Sayid begin to remove their clothes, running a hand over her face when she figured out what they were planning.

"You've got to be kidding me" Kali groaned, as Sawyer ripped off his shirt.

"Good a day as any for a swim" Sawyer grinned at her, as Jack and Sayid raced into the waves.

"Son of a bitch…" Kali muttered, before shrugging off her shirt, leaving her in just her tank top.

"You should stay here—" Sawyer began, as she gave him a look.

"Can't let you boys have all the fun" Kali scoffed, pulling her shoes and socks off.

"…Stay close to me, yeah?" Sawyer exclaimed, as she nodded.

Once Kali felt the water touch her legs she quickly started to regret her decision, as a memory flashed behind her eyes. She could still so vividly remember almost drowning on the raft, causing her to freeze. Sawyer seemed to recognise that, and took her hand in his own, giving her a reassuring smile.

"I've got you, blue eyes" Sawyer told her, as she allowed him to pull her further into the waves.

It took the four of them some time to finally reach the boat, but luckily the seawater had been warmed by the sun, and the waves were far gentler than Kali remembered. Sawyer stuck to his word, keeping her close the whole time, frequently turning to look back at her. She was a little slower than the others, but didn't fall too far behind. Jack and Sayid pulled themselves onto the boat's deck first, with Sawyer following close behind. He reached down to her haul Kali up, pulling her into his arms, checking her over quickly. They heard Jack take the safety off his gun, as he cautiously took a step forward. As they got closer to a hatch leading to the living quarters, Kali was surprised to hear some sort of classical music. Someone was clearly on board. A loud bang had them all springing back, as they realised they had been shot at. Sawyer instantly grabbed Kali, pushing her behind him so he could shield her from the gunfire. After a few more shots, they heard a voice mutter something from down below. Kali frowned as Jack took a step closer to the hatch, thinking for a moment that she recognised the voice. Before she could speak up, Jack had kicked in the hatch door, shattering the wood and revealing who was inside. A bearded man clad in a rumpled shirt and shorts was holding a rifle in his hand, bottles of wine scattered around him. Kali felt her heart stop for a moment as the man's eyes connected with hers, a feeling of déjà vu washing over her.

It wasn't possible.

But there he was. The man from her dream on the raft. The one that called to her when she almost drowned. The man from the hatch. The man she had never met before. As the man's hazel eyes bore into hers, a name left her lips before she could stop herself. A name that she swore she had used before, that felt natural.

"Des?" She exclaimed, seeing recognition flicker on the man's face.

"It's you…you're…you're real" Desmond gaped at her, with a look of awe, a small smile growing on his lips.

DrLexieSloan: I'm super invested in them too, haha. Awkward interruptions are such a good trope! That reveal will be coming quite a bit later in the story I'm afraid. All I can say, is Season 3 is going to create some interesting situations! And we saw a little glimpse of Juliet for the first time in this chapter, I can't wait to have her as one of the main characters. Thank you for reviewing:)

Guest: I do like my dark twists, haha. Glad you liked it!

scripturient3201: Ken is definitely one unhinged guy, and a bad influence on Boone! There is a lot to process...but trust me, it's only going to get crazier in the next couple of chapters! Thanks for the review:)
