I do not own the PJO characters. I am really sorry that I didn't post yesterday, I won't get into any details, but let's just say I didn't have the best day of my life.
"Trish help me!" Coral screamed.
"Noo!" I yelled, "P-please, p-put her down."
"Hmm, so this hit a soft spot I see," Nemesis mocked.
I was now crying. "Nemesis, please," I pleaded.
Nemesis gave a smile and snapped her finger. We then appeared on the top of a mountain, the same one in my dreams. I could see a storm in the distance and a big green valley below us. Other than that everything was the black rock of the mountain.
"Now, put your wall down or I drop her," Nemesis took Coral by the shirt like a little puppy, and dangled her over the edge.
"Noo!" I put my wall down and ran towards her. Nemesis snapped again and I could barely move. I looked down to see my feet in shackles and my hands in chains. I turned and saw that my friends had the same.
"And you," Nemesis, "for helping this traitor, you shall get a small punishment." They way she said "small" didn't make it seem "small".
Nemesis took out her long gold blade and slowly walked toward Calypso. "Oh young Calypso," she teased. She got closer and Calypso began to stagger backwards.
"W-what are you going to do to her!" I yelled at Nemesis. Nemesis just sneered.
"Wait! I-" Nemesis brought up her sword, and in an instant she had slashed Calypso's side. Calypso crumbled in pain. As soon as she hit the ground, thunder roared overhead.
"STOP!" I pleaded, "You want me not them, please just leave them alone!" I struggled against my chains trying to get to them.
Nemesis then stepped up to the brothers, they tried to run but both ended up tripping on rocks. I watched as Nemesis dove her sword into the Stoll's calves so that they couldn't run, she then slashed at their legs.
"PLEASE, STOP!" I cried at the top of my lungs, tears streaming down my face. I shuffled over to Jamie and blocked the path between him and Nemesis.
"I'm begging you, stop this Nemesis, this isn't balanced. All I did was slap Zeus, they don't deserve this," I begged.
"You don't understand what's balanced or not!" Nemesis yelled, it suddenly started raining, "I can't let these guys get in the way of my killing you, you're too powerful and you shouldn't be alive!"
"So this isn't about Zeus!" I yelled.
"Oh no, I'm here for that too," Nemesis sneered.
Nemesis stepped closer to us and I drew καλοσύνη, but she just pushed me out of the way like I was a rag doll. I hit the ground, hard. I got up and started running the best I could toward Jamie. I watched as Nemesis sunk her blade into Jamie's shoulder.
"NOOOO!" I ran to Jamie and propped his shoulder. He winced in pain as I touched it.
"Trish," Jamie croaked dryly. I turned just in time to see Nemesis's golden blade coming down on me.
All of a sudden she was pushed off balance. Standing behind where the Immortal just was, was Coral. She had tears rolling down her face but she managed to speak. "Don't touch my big sis."
"You have just made a big mistake little girl," Nemesis growled.
"Coral run!" I yelled at her. She took off as the Immortal got up.
As fast so the two-year-old, she was no match for Nemesis. She easily caught up to Coral. Nemesis loomed over Coral with her sword raised.
That's when I lost it. I watched as this Immortal slashed Calypso, I watched as she slashed my brothers, I watched as she slashed Jamie, but I was not going to let her touch my sister.
I screamed louder than I ever had before. My chains shattered and everything around me grew dark. The ground began to crack and everything around me shook. But this was different than before, before my powers had been yellow or gold, but now, it was black. My hands glowed black with power, my eyes drew black flames. Thunder cracked overhead but I ignored it. My cloak blew in the wind as I grabbed my sword.
I advanced towards Nemesis. "DO NOT TOUCH MY SISTER!" I yelled, but it wasn't my voice, it was deeper and more grounded. I raised my sword and saw images dancing around on my arms.
I looked up at Nemesis and saw pure terror on her face. "Ahhh!" I yelled as I ran towards Nemesis with my sword raised high. Our swords clashed and it shook the mountain. I slashed and jabbed at Nemesis, she did the same, but I was the only one able to land a hit. It was like I was covered in a force field.
It grew eerily dark like I was in the underworld.
Are battle must have gone on for maybe ten minutes and I was barely breaking a sweat. But Nemesis was the complete opposite, she had ichor oozing out everywhere and it looked like she could barely stand. Soon enough I had my sword at her chest and my hand gripped around her clothing.
But my anger didn't stop there, my eyes continued flaming black. I went to open my mouth but I heard Jamie.
I turned to hear him saying, "Trish, please, this isn't you."
"I-" the black left my eyes and the dark started fading away.
I could finally see everyone clearly as the dark cleared. Everyone's face was extremely pale and Calypso was covering her mouth with her hand, the other still clenched around her side. I dropped my sword and ran towards her. Her shackles were off, they must have shattered when mine did.
I placed my hands on her side and began to heal her. She just looked at me, her eyes full of shock and fear and her non bloody hand was still on her mouth. In the corner of my eye, I could see Jamie and the Stoll's trying to stagger to where Calypso and I were sitting.
"T-that was it, wasn't it?" I asked Calypso. She just shook her head up and down.
As I had finished healing Calypso, the others were finally able to reach us. They helped each other sit down and I began healing them too. After I finished, Coral came over and I embraced her in a hug.
"Don't do that, it was scary," Coral said as I hugged her.
"I'll try not to," I laughed.
"Seriously though, what was that? That was scarier than Hades Helm of Darkness, we seriously thought we were going to die," Travis asked.
"Her curse," Calypso muttered.
"Huh?" Connor said tilting his head like a dog.
"It was her curse," Calypso said a little louder.
"T-that's her curse?" Jamie said wide eyed.
Connor still looked confused. "So, what now? Like if this is Trish's curse, what are-." I cut him off.
"Just drop it okay," I said standing up and walking over to the edge of the mountain.
I felt Jamie's hand touch my back. "Hey, you okay?" he asked.
"No, nothing is okay! I could have killed you guys!" I tilted my head so that Jamie couldn't see my face.
"She would have killed us if you hadn't done what you did," Jamie said trying to get me to look at him.
I finally gave in and looked at him, tears in my eyes and my arms tucked up against me, "I just want to go home, okay?"
"Okay, we'll find the quickest flight out of here and we're gone," Jamie then turned and started towards the other.
"Uh, guys," I called, "Where's Nemesis?"
"She disappeared when you were healing us," Travis said.
I took a deep breath thinking about how she could still be hunting us down for what I did.
I walked over to the others and grabbed Coral and Jamie's hands. We then began our descent down the mountain.
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed the little fight scene. Stay safe and eat peanut butter.
