Chapter 47
That night Janet was sitting next to Liberty, who was asleep again, when Terri walked in;" Hi, how is she doing?"
"Still pretty much the same." answered her sister tired;" She's trying so hard to fight this."
"I know." said Terri and gave Janet a hug;" It's be okay, Janet. She will beat this."
"Let's hope so." sighed she getting up;" Everything's such a mess right now."
"Have you talked to Jack at all ever since he stopped by this morning?" asked her sister hesitating;" Maybe you should stop being so stubborn and just sign the papers."
"Maybe you should mind your own business!" replied Janet angry as she quickly pulled Terri out of Liberty's room;" How can you even tell me to just give up and let her win?"
"This isn't about winning or losing. This is about moving on. And letting Jack be happy with the person that he wants to be happy with and also about you getting a chance to be happy with somebody wants to be with you!" answered she;" Jack doesn't want to be with you anymore. He has made it pretty clear that he will never come back to you again. What is the point in keeping him trapped in your marriage for no reason?"
"Trapped in my marriage?" asked her sister stunned;" You're making it sound like I forced him to marry me!"
"That's not what I meant, Janet. I didn't mean it to sound like that!" said Terri;" I meant that Jack doesn't want to be in the marriage anymore. He has made that pretty clear. So why keep dragging this on?"
"Jack wanted to marry me and I didn't force him. If I give him some time he will come to his senses and this thing with that woman is just a fase that Jack is in." replied she;" She has done nothing but try to win him back ever since he married me and I'm not going to let her win!"
"Please just take some time and think this through. This isn't about winning and if Jack wants out of your marriage then just let him go!" answered her sister with a sigh;" You deserve somebody who wants you and who loves you!"
Rosanna had been pretty quiet ever since she had come back to the house in Milltown. Ofcourse she had a lot on her mind after her talk with Lily, but she had tried her best not to let anybody notice.
"Did something happen while you were out?" asked her sister worried as she sat down on the couch next to Rosanna after Jack had left and the kids had all gone upstairs;" Or did I do something wrong?"
"Ofcourse you didn't do anything wrong, Carly. Don't be silly." answered Rosanna quickly;" You and Jack seemed to be getting along just fine. Does that mean that you guys have sorted everything out and that you don't have any more doubts?"
"No, it doesn't mean that. I still have doubt, but Jack says that he understands and that he's going to show me that we are meant to be together forever." replied she suspicious;" And why are you trying to change the subject?"
"I'm not trying to change the subject and there's nothing to change!" said her sister with a fake smile and to her relief her niece came down the stairs;" Hi, Sage."
"Why did dad have to go home so early?" asked she and leaned up against her mother;" It was nice having dad here."
"I know, but your dad can't always be here and he had things to do at home." answered Carly, not sure how to respond to Sage's question;" I thought that you were going upstairs to watch some tv?"
"I was, but I don't feel so well." replied her daughter with a sad look;" I feel sick, mommy."
"You don't feel warm or anything." said she worried, feeling Sage's forhead;" Why don't you get into bed and I will bring you some tea, honey. Maybe that will make you feel better."
"Okay." answered Sage as she got up;" If I don't feel better after the tea can you please call daddy? Seeing him always makes me feel better."
"Sure." promised her mother with a skeptical look at Rosanna while Sage went back upstairs;" This isn't good, Rosanna. This is effecting the kids!"
"Sage is just being Sage." smiled she;" She has always been pretty clear about wanting you and Jack back together again. So why are you acting so surprised about this?"
"Maybe you're right." said Carly with a faint smile as she got up again and walked away;" I'm gonna make some tea for my daughter."
