Authors Note: Hey Everyone! I can't believe that this is the 3 year anniversary of this story. I know that I don't publish as many updates as I use to but I am going to try to get better about that this year. I already have most of the next Chapter done so look for it in the next few weeks if not sooner! I am also working more on the sequel for this story. Chapter 47

Saving Simon

(3rd Anniversary Chapter)

Paul: Benjamin how far out are we from Simon? I want to get the paramedics here as fast as possible.

Benjamin: We will take Simon ourselves he doesn't have any time to waste. Scarlet used a sword and stabbed him right before we left the warehouse. I told both of them he was dead but he was still alive and talking to me so I told him to be quiet. He says in a rushed tone.

Sam: I still want to know why you are involved in this.

Benjamin: Once this is all over and you officially arrest me I will tell you everything but we don't have time because this is where you need to stop! He says blurting out quickly.

Sam, Paul, and Benjamin then jump out of the car. Benjamin takes the lead and starts running to Simon.

Benjamin: HERE HE IS!

Sam: Simon! Simon! Can you hear me? Simon!

Benjamin: We don't have time for this! Move! He says as he picks Simon up and starts racing back to the car.

Sam and Paul race behind Benjamin.

As soon as they are back in the car Sam floors it and puts the siren on and Benjamin starts CPR.

Sam: Does he have a pulse!?

Benjamin: If he did would I be doing CPR!? Just worry about getting us to the hospital as quickly as possible and let me worry about Simon!

Sam: Alright!

Benjamin: Come on Simon! After everything you have been through you can't give upon now! Where is that fighting spirit, you have shown all this time!

Sam: We are 5 minutes out!

Benjamin: Hear that Simon just 5 more minutes and you will be in the hospital! Please just fight!

Back at the hospital:

Theodore and Bobby are playing Uno and Dave is sitting in a waiting room chair watching the boys play to help keep his mind occupied.

Bobby: Uno! I finally win!

Theodore: I can't believe you finally beat me! They both start laughing.

Dave: Congrats Bobby!

Bobby: Thanks, Dave! Dave, have you heard anything else about Simon?

Dave Sighs.

Dave: No, I haven't.

Bobby: Well don't worry my dad will find him quick! I am sure of it! He says grinning ear to ear.

Dave smiles back at Bobby.

Dave: Glad to hear your dad is the best. That makes me feel a lot better. He says with a warm smile.

Theodore: Ready for another game of Uno Bobby!?

Bobby: Absolutely! This is my favorite game!

The boys continue playing Uno.

After a couple of minutes, Theodore notices Bobby is acting strange.

Theodore: Bobby do you need to go for a walk or something? You are wiggling around a lot.

Bobby blushes.

Bobby: I….. um….. need to go to the bathroom…. BAD. He says quietly.

Theodore: Ok then. Come on I will show you where they are at. We will be right back Dave.

Dave: Keep an eye on him.

Theodore: I will Dave!

Dave: I was talking to Bobby! He says smiling.

Both boys laugh as they head off to the bathroom.

Theodore: Here we are. He says as he opens the bathroom door and lets Bobby in.

Bobby then fast walks into the 1st stall and quickly pulls down his pants and sits down.

Bobby lets out a relieved sigh.

Bobby: Made it!

Theodore: I guess I will go to since I am here. He says walking to the next stall.

Theodore pulls down his underwear and sits down as well.

Theodore: So Bobby.

Bobby: Yes Theodore?

Theodore: I can't get over all of the Chipmunk clothing you have on.

Bobby: I am wearing every piece of Chipmunk clothing I have! He says proudly.

Theodore: Wow that's impressive.

Bobby: You should see my room! My dad gets me every Chipmunk poster he can and they act like my wallpaper. I have bobbleheads of you guys and so much more!

Theodore: I see. I notice you don't have Chipmunk underwear.

Bobby starts laughing.

Bobby: That's because there aren't any silly. Believe me, if that existed and I had a pair I would never take them off! He says proudly.

Theodore: Ew Bobby never changing your underwear!

Both boys get a good laugh out of Bobby's comment.

Bobby: Um Theodore do you think Alvin will be ok?

Theodore Sighs.

Theodore: This is the worst thing our family has ever gone through. Each of us has taken Simon's kidnapping hard. But Alvin took it harder than any of us. But I feel that once your dad finds Simon Alvin will get better faster. I think we all will.

Bobby: I hope so. You guys mean everything to me and a lot of other people and I would hate if one of you well…

Theodore: Thank you Bobby that means a lot to me and my family.

Theodore finishes doing his business and leaves the stall to wash his hands.

Bobby: Theodore?

Theodore: Yes Bobby?

Bobby: Why did Alvin take Simon's kidnapping so much harder than everyone else?

Theodore's eyes quickly widen and he becomes anxious and tense.

Theodore: Um well… Theodore clears his throat. Well, Alvin and Simon have always just been closer with each other. I am closer with Simon than I am with Alvin.

Bobby: I would have thought you would have all been close.

Theodore: We are but….. Well, it's hard to explain.

Bobby: Ok I think I understand now.

Theodore lets out a relieved sigh.

Theodore: Wow that was not a question I was prepared for. He says to himself.

Bobby soon finishes his business and comes out and starts washing his hands.

Meanwhile outside the hospital.

Sam, Paul, Benjamin, and Simon arrive.

Benjamin leaps out of the car with Simon in his arms.

Benjamin runs inside the hospital.

Benjamin: QUICK WE NEED A DOCTER NOW!

Nurse: Page Dr. Keith quickly!

Receptionist: He is already in surgery.

Nurse: Page the other surgeon that is on standby. I will take him and get him prepped for surgery.

Receptionist: Yes ma'am!

The nurse then takes Simon away on a bed.

Benjamin: FIGHT SIMON FIGHT! He says yelling down the hall.

Benjamin: Well I guess it's time to officially arrest me. He says as he holds out his hands to be cuffed.

Sam: Not yet. We are going upstairs to tell Simon's dad that he has been found.

Paul: Are you sure Sam?

Sam: Dave needs to know. He will find out soon enough everything that happed anyway.

Paul: Your right.

Sam: Come on Benjamin.

The 3 men then make their way upstairs to the waiting room.

Sam: Dave.

Dave: Sam, Paul!

Sam: Dave this is Benjamin.

Dave begins to extend his arm out to shake Benjamins hand.

Sam: One of Simon's kidnappers.

Dave stops moving. He is in complete shock.

Dave: What….

Paul: I know you must be in shock Dave but Simon has been found and is in an OR as we speak.

Dave: OR!? What happened to him!?

Benjamin: Sam, Paul I would like to tell what happened if I can.

Sam and Paul both nod their heads.

Benjamin: I was a police officer a few towns over. I enjoyed my work but one day I started getting threats. Receiving threats is part of the job but then one day I received some photos in the mail. They were photos of my family. There was a letter with the photos. It told me if I wanted my family to live I needed to join their gang. I reluctantly agreed. I went to my police chief and told him that I was resigning. The next day I went to the location that was listed in the letter. They told me that my family would be safe for now. So, they then told me what they had in plan.

Sam: The Kidnapping?

Benjamin: Yes. The kidnapping of Alvin Seville.

Everyone's eyes open up and they are in complete shock.

Dave: So, Alvin was the target!?

Benjamin: Yes. Alvin was going to make them rich. They set up a live stream and if people gave enough money they could request something to happen to him.

Paul: Just like with Simon.

Benjamin: Yes, the stream was set up and advertised as Alvin but we could never find Alvin alone where he could be kidnapped. Robert and Scarlet were getting angry and then they saw Simon walking home alone and they made their move. A Chipmunk is A Chipmunk they said.

Sam: How long did they try to plan this?

Benjamin: A long time. I was at The Chipmunk's last concert. I was ordered to grab Alvin there and hold him hostage till Scarlet and Robert could come and pick us up. I also helped with the barricades.

Sam and Paul both look at each other.

Paul: So, you were the man who helped us.

Benjamin: Yes, I didn't talk much and kept my head down so you wouldn't see me. I thought that maybe I could find a weak spot in the security and grab Alvin but you two had everything covered. I gave up and I was hoping Scarlet and Robert would too.

Benjamin then lets out a long sigh.

Benjamin: But they didn't give up.

Back to Bobby and Theodore.

The boys are walking back to the waiting room. As they get closer they see Sam, Paul, and another man.

Bobby: DAD YOUR BACK! He says running over to him.

Bobby then starts hugging his dads' leg and Paul puts his arm on Bobby's shoulder.

Theodore: I know you. He says looking at Benjamin. You're the man who gave me that paper.

Sam: Just as I thought.

Benjamin: It's good to see you again Theodore.

Sam: Benjamin skip ahead to when you met Theodore. We can get the rest of the story at the station later.

Benjamin sighs.

Benjamin: Scarlet sent me out to find and Kidnap Theodore.

Theodore and Bobby: WHAT!?

Dave: Um Theodore maybe you should….

Theodore: No Dave. I have to hear this.

Benjamin: I had no intention of kidnapping Theodore. I saw this as my chance to bring this kidnapping to an end without endangering my family. That's why I gave Theodore that paper.

Sam: So why did Scarlet want Theodore if Alvin was the original target?

Theodore: So, Alvin was right! Alvin said the kidnappers wanted him. He says thinking to himself.

Benjamin: They wanted to torture Simon's mental health. They wanted to do things to Theodore in front of Simon and vice versa. The people watching would have paid good money for that. Really good.

Sam: How did Scarlet respond when she found out you didn't kidnap Theodore.

Benjamin: Well when I got back the firewall they were hiding behind had been breached. So that's when we had to start packing up and leave.

Paul: And that's when Simon received that um…. Wound?

Benjamin: Yes, she tried to kill him but she failed so I lied and told her he was dead. Simon tried to talk so I made him keep quiet. I was ordered to destroy his phone but I put it in my pocket. They were in too big of a hurry to check on anything. So, once I put Simon in the tall grass I turned his phone on and put it next to him so he could be found. Not long after that, we were all caught.

Sam: Well I think it's time to officially arrest you.

Benjamin: I understand.

Benjamin then puts his hands out and they are cuffed.

Sam: Benjamin you are under arrest for the Kidnapping of Simon Seville, the attempted kidnapping of Alvin Seville, the attempted kidnapping of Theodore Seville, and more to be determined at a later date.

Benjamin: I understand. He says as he turns to Dave and Theodore.

Benjamin: I am sorry for everything I have done to your family and everything your family has gone through.

Sam: Let's go.

Sam and Benjamin start walking away.

Paul: I should go too. Dave Do you mind if Bobby stays with you a little longer?

Dave: What? Oh. Yes, That's fine.

Paul then bends down and gives Bobby a big hug.

Paul: Be good Bobby.

Bobby: I will dad!

Paul then leaves.

Bobby: See I told you guys my dad was the best and he would find Simon quick!

Theodore: You sure did Bobby. I guess your dad really is the best. He says only half listening to what Bobby is saying.
