Guest: Yes, I know is a little cliché, but I wanted the idols to be game-changers, and I think they were.

EbolaGaveMeHIV: Yes, it was a close one, and honestly, I hope it was shocking. About Shawn, short version, he probably messed with the wrong people.

gman5846: Yep, Now time will tell if Topher did the right thing or not saving her. And about Heather, your question is completely right, how will she react?

Tempokeep: The twins plot is still advancing, but I will not say anything else. And yes, too many team-ups in the challenge. Definitely, people ignore the concept of battle royale.

Harmony735: I am happy you enjoy it.

Danicis: Yes, one of the favorites has fallen. Now the game will play quite differently.

Aleheather: Sadly, Alejandro is not with us anymore. I wonder if this will affect Heather?

And as always, a REALLY BIG shoutout and THANKS to Geofics, who help me proofread the episodes. This message is not enough to thank you but is the least I can do. Thanks a lot.

Journey to the west of Canada Part 1

Last time on Total Drama, Tyranny of the Masses, it was time for WAR. We converted the woods on the island into a gigantic battlefield, where the campers fought in a paintball battle royale where the winner got immunity.

With additional weapons inside containers, complex strategies, unexpected teamwork, and treason, the battle escalated in excitement and emotion. In the end, Courtney, Brick, and I still can't believe it, Lilly won immunity for the night, while the remaining 10 players were fair game.

And in a surprising comeback, the casualty of this war was Alejandro, who fell victim to the last Immunity idol that saved Samey. There goes one of the favorites to win the season.

What will happen now with Brick and Amy's alliance? And who will target Heather's alliance next? And how will everyone react to the Spaniard's elimination? I don't know, but I hope it's something dramatic. Let's find out here on Total Drama Tyranny of the Masses.

Alejandro was just taken away by the chopper of shame. At the same time, most campers already went their separate ways to either the boys' or the girls' cabins.

But not Sammy, she was standing in the road to the cabins waiting for two campers, but none of them had come back from the campfire. Then she saw him.

"Topher," Sammy waved and ran to him. "wait!"

He was startled and looked at her, blushing. He knew what this was about. And as Mik and Draman said, it was the moment to do or die. "Good night Sammy."

"I-I…" Sammy stuttered, not sure what to say.

C'mon Samantha, he used HIS immunity idol on you. He not only saved you, but he also gave you a chance to beat Amy. At least say thank you. Thought Sammy, but after talking with him yesterday and being together in today's challenge, something had changed.

Sammy then slapped herself with both hands.

"Ouch! Are you ok?" asked Topher, wincing after seeing that.

"YES!" shouted Sammy, her cheeks red but her eyes full of determination. "Thank you for using your immunity idol to save me. You don't have an idea of what this means to me." She realized what she just said and panicked. "I mean besides the chance to get the million, that too, but for me there is something more important right now."

Topher smiled but avoided her eyes. "Don't worry, I'm happy as long as you're here."

"But, why did you save me? I don't want to sound ungrateful but it wasn't better to use it for yourself?" asked Sammy, not realizing what she just asked.

There was no way back. Topher gulped and began to sweat but made an effort and looked into her eyes, trying to smile.

"I didn't intend to use it. But when Chris gave Alejandro the last marshmallow, I realized that I didn't want to stay in the game without you," he replied, locking his eyes on hers.

MAN, I DID IT! I can't believe I did it. Now please, please, say yes. Thought Topher, he did all that he could. Now it was on the younger twin.

She blushed immediately. "Topher I d-don't know what to say. T-This is so sudden, I…" The twin was without words, overwhelmed by the emotions.

"Sammy," he continued taking a deep breath. Sounding as serious as he could, "I want to know you better, more than a friend. Would you go out with me?" He blushed, his hands trembling, waiting for her reply.

"I-I'm sorry," replied Sammy, also red, looking at the ground. "I need some time to think about it."

Topher felt his heart sink, but there was still hope. "All the time you need."

Sammy knew it was for the best. It was a really important decision, and she always made the wrong choice. She likes him, she really does, but they were in the middle of the competition and… and…

And she knew what she really wanted.

"I accept! I want to go out with you," she said suddenly, holding him by his sweater. "I-I mean … I already thought about it and… if it's fine with you I want to give it a try."

Topher's expression turned from a slight frown to a wide smile. "Really? YES! Oh man you accepted. Thanks Sammy, I assure you you'll not regret it. I'll make you the happiest girl," he said, hugging her and laughing.

"Me too. I'll also try to make you happy. Scratch that, I'll make you happy," replied Sammy blushing. "Sorry I was so nervous that I panicked and was scared so I just said to give me time and the…"

"Don't worry, I was also nervous. It's the first time I've confessed my feelings to the girl I like," he said, blushing but looking in her eyes.

The young twin made a small smile. "Really? Someone so handsome?" she then blushed again and covered her mouth, so she decided to change the subject. "Well, you too are my first official boyfriend."

"Then may I escort you to your cabin?" asked Topher, making a small bow.

Sammy chuckled at her boyfriend's antics. "Sorry, but I'm waiting for Heather. Do you mind waiting with me?"

"Of course not. I wonder if she's affected by Alejandro's eliminations?" asked Topher, putting a hand under his chin.

But before the twin could answer, the Queen Bee herself appeared walking down the road. Her expression was a full grin.

"Oh Samantha? You didn't have to wait for me," said Heather talking in an upbeat tone, which was unusual for her.

"I was worried about… you know… with Alejandro elimination and all that…" replied Sammy, making a nervous smile.

Heather tossed her braid. "I'm just happy that at last that guy is out of the game. Now I can focus on the competition."

"It was a shame! I expected a good reconciliation after he or you were eliminated," said Topher, snapping his fingers. He was a real fan of Aleheather.

"Just the opposite. I'm so glad is out," she said, humming joyfully.

Topher and Sammy were happy for her. not realizing the cold expression on her eyes or the small object she held in her hand. But Heather noticed that they were holding hands on the way back to the cabins.

Confessional: Heather

The Queen bee was frowning angrily at the camera. "I can't believe they had the last immunity idol. But there is no problem, now with Alejandro out of the game, it's time to change the way I was playing and to start gunning for Duncan and Amy's friends."

The next day, in the boy's cabin, the beeping of his alarm clock woke him. It was a small solar-powered device. Really practical. It didn't only show the time and was waterproof, but it wasn't too loud, so usually, it would only wake him up or, with bad luck, his bunkmate.

But that wasn't really a problem. He didn't share his bunk with anyone before the merge, and after it, he spent one night with Shawn sleeping in the bottom bed before he was eliminated. Now Cody was alone again, but that wasn't a problem.

When he woke up, Brick was already out of the cabin, and Duncan, Mike, and Topher were still sleeping. He was tempted to stay in bed a little longer. Today wasn't a challenge day, and he ran a lot during the paintball match.

He put the alarm for 30 more minutes and let himself rest a little more. The beds were terrible and the sheets like sandpaper, but after a night of sleep, they were comfy and warm enough to let him enjoy a little more time resting.

After that, he stood up and went to the bathroom. He was supposed to be happy. Yesterday, they eliminated Alejandro, his nemesis and one of the strongest contestants in the game. But there was something off. Heather.

It was true she was basically an outcast from the rest of the total drama contestants. But after the World Tour season, she and Cody started to exchange emails, then to talk and finally meet either when she was in Toronto or when he was in Ottawa. They went together to spectacles, pool competitions, and of course, he invited her when he performed in the capital with the Drama Brothers.

They had been friends for 2 whole years. He trusted her even if he knew that Heather sometimes could be mean and cold-hearted, as she showed multiple times in the show. However, with him and Sierra, who was also their mutual friend, she was nice (or at least as nice as Heather could be).

Cody entered the shower and began to wash while thinking about how things changed during this season. The first big change was during the secrets challenge. He discovered that Heather was living with Alejandro for a whole year.

Why did she lie to him? He knew they were in some kind of relationship after All-stars. At first, she was really excited but also flustered about it. But some weeks ago, she told him they broke up without major explanations. He assumed it was for the cheating she mentioned with Courtney during the first elimination.

But then was the second big change, his own elimination. After doing the math, Alejandro, Zoey, and Brick voted for him, and surely Sammy, but then one of Courtney, Heather, and Duncan should have voted for him to save Al.

Courtney, he wanted to think she wouldn't betray him. She was now more kind-ish and would lose an ally if he was out. So it was either Duncan or Heather. But will either of them do something to keep Al in the game? It didn't make sense. Both hated him.

He closed the water and dried his body and hair, putting on his cargo pants, shirt, and sweater before going to the dining hall. Even if he thought more about it, he wouldn't find new clues. Heather seemed happy and pleased after Alejandro's elimination, so maybe she really wanted him out of the game.

He entered the cafeteria and saw another camper already eating their breakfast. It was someone he wanted to talk to in the past but never had the chance. So the brunette guy got his breakfast and sat across them.

"May I sit here?" asked Cody carrying his tray.

The Dark-skinned girl looked at him with a puzzled expression. "There are no parties anymore, at this stage we're in a battle royale. Do you really think it's worth increasing our affinity stat?"

"Of course it's worthy," he said, winking. "There is life after the show, and we're opponents, not enemies. There is no reason to not try to be friends, especially as we both are gamers."

Charlotte hesitated for a moment and then shrugged. "Do what you want?"

"Thanks. On other seasons I could talk about video games with Noah, Tyler, or Sierra. But right now, none of my friends really like to play videogames. I convinced Heather to pick the W-Box 100 but we barely played together."

"Noobs, I really can't believe there are people of our age that don't like video games. It should be a default skill for any people that grew in the XXI century," said Charlotte while eating her breakfast, a yellow slob.

Cody chuckled. "People come in all sizes and with a lot of different interests. It's a little unfair to say everyone should like the same things," after saying this, he noticed the e-gamer glaring at him. "Ehem, but anyway, I always wanted to ask you. Why do you talk like that?"

"Sorry I didn't understand. Can you repeat the last command?" Charlotte asked, looking at him with wide eyes. The question took her by surprise.

"I mean you always talk using words from video games, talking about stats, items, quests, and the like. And I was curious about why. I find it cute but I wanted to know if there is a reason behind it?

Charlotte couldn't resist and smiled. It was the first time someone called it cute.

"I found it easier to focus on my objectives if I talk about them in game terms. Not only can I sort my thoughts more efficiently but also save loading time when making decisions," She replied. Her tone was a little harsh, contrasting with her smile.

Cody folded his arms and nodded, "Now I understand. Maybe I should talk using computing terms. That might be a hit with the ladies." He wiggled his eyebrows, looking at the e-gamer's eyes.

"I don't think the rate of success will be as high as you think, but good luck," chuckled Charlotte, covering her mouth with her fist. "I didn't know you were interested in computers."

"I don't want to brag about it, but I'm certified in 3 different programming languages. And I'm already accepted with a scholarship to pursue a Computer Science Degree at the University of Toronto," said Cody, his smile was so wide that it showed the gap between his teeth.

Charlotte smirked. "It's true. I forgot you were 2 years older than me. Your in-game model seems much younger.

"I get that a lot," replied the brunette guy rubbing his neck.

Both laughed and then talked about their favorite video games, how unfair was the paintball challenge, and what games they wanted to purchase. Cody then went to try to find Heather while leaving a thoughtful Charlotte in the dining hall.

Confessional: Charlotte

"I thought that all the remaining players except Topher were just NPCs not worth my time. But Cody seems like a nice player. Maybe I should spend more time increasing my affinity meter with him." The e-gamer then smiled, showing her teeth. "And it'll be nice to have more allies helping me to take down my enemies."

In the boy's cabin, 2 campers were cleaning it as they did every day. But the usual good mood was replaced by an awkward silence.

Topher and Mike have been friends for more than 20 days. Together with Dramaman they bonded while cleaning the cabin and eating together.

But yesterday, Mike asked for Topher's vote, and the host wannabe just asked for one thing in return. Vote for anyone but Sammy.

And sadly Mike's alliance decided to vote for her. And there was no way to hide that from Topher because Sammy was almost eliminated. The Spiky-haired guy didn't know what to say.

But it was Topher, the one that broke the silence.

"Mik, there is something I need to tell you," said Topher in an excited tone running his hand across his hair.

But for Mike it just sounded like the beginning of the talk he was afraid to have, so he gulped and decided to take the initiative.

"Topher, I'm so sorry," said Mike lowering his head. "I know you must be angry about what happened yesterday. I have no excuses but believe me, I really value our friendship."

The host wannabe tilted his head, looking at him with wide eyes. "Sorry Mik, but I don't know what you're talking about."

"I'm talking about voting for Sammy. You asked me to vote for anyone but her, and in the end we almost eliminated her," explained Mike looking at him with a perplexed expression.

"Ah!? Yes, that," replied Topher, making an awkward smile. "I'll not lie, I was angry. But I understand you didn't have an alternative, and that's why you didn't look for me after our conversation. So don't sweat about it," he added waving his hand.

"But man, you ended up using your immunity idol!" said Mike, looking at him in disbelief.

The host wannabe took a deep breath, ran his hand across his hair again and smiled shyly. "I know, but it was worth it." He also couldn't be mad with Mike about it. After all, if he got the idol was thanks to Mike and Dramaman that followed his idea of cleaning the cabin.

"I know, because you saved the girl you like. But it would be better if we didn't use your idol," replied Mike rubbing his arm.

"Kinda but not exactly," replied Topher blushing, "it was worth it because thanks to that… I confessed to Sammy last night."

Mike looked at him with wide eyes, making a big grin. "Really!? Man, why didn't you say anything yesterday?"

"Because everybody was already in the cabin, and I didn't want to say it in front of them," replied the host wannabe scratching his cheek.

"AND? What was her answer?" asked Mike, looking at his friend full of expectation.

Topher took a moment to enjoy the suspense and then made a charming smile, "She accepted! We're dating!"

Mike jumped and hugged Topher, both laughing. "Congratulations Toph! You took your sweet time man. I'm so happy for you!"

"I was literally trembling. I still can't believe it. It's like a dream," said Topher, his voice full of excitement.

"You're the perfect couple!" exclaimed Mike, trying to not cry. "Now we can do double dates with Sammy and Zoey. I wish her and Draman were here to celebrate with us."

Topher let go of Mike, smiling like a child. "I have to thank you and Draman, without your support, I probably wouldn't have told her my feelings."

"We didn't do anything. It was you who found the courage to tell her. I'm really curious about what Amy will say," said the spiky-haired guy, not realizing that telling Amy wasn't a good idea.

"About that," Topher's tone changed to a more serious one. "I want you to keep our relationship a secret. You know how showmance is a clear target for elimination, and I don't want to cause Sammy's elimination."

"Are you sure? Zoey and I were a showmance during the All-stars season, and neither was eliminated," wondered Mike scratching his head.

The host wannabe shook his head. "Because the All-stars season was a unique case. But please Mike, don't tell anyone."

"As you wish but I'm not sure about this," said the spiky-haired guy with a puzzled expression.

"Thanks Mik. Now let's go to take breakfast so I can tell you the details," said Topher, patting Mike's back.

After that Topher told his friend a very embellished version of last night's events. Mike was happy for him and also thankful to have something to distract him with.

Confessional: Mike

Mike was rubbing his arm with a thoughtful expression. "Is really being a couple something so bad in a reality show? I never felt that people targeted Zoey or me when we were together. What's more, in this season I felt they attacked her more after the team shuffle. Anyway, I'll keep his secret safe. Topher's lucky that I'm better at keeping secrets than Cam."

In the wood's entrance, a camper was warming up. But this morning was harsher than the past days. At this hour, she would usually be running across the forest. It was true that she began to take things more calmly after finding Dave. But today was different.

After finishing her jogging, Sky lower back began to hurt again. It was an acute and sharp pain. It had been there since the quarry challenge, and somehow it didn't finish healing.

Did she overdo it? The question tormented her but there was no use in thinking in what-ifs. It was better to try to heal or at least find her limit.

So she was sitting on the ground stretching her legs to see how far she could bend without feeling pain. Soon she found that it was worse than she expected.

And Sky wasn't the only one to find out.

"Are you ok? You seem to be in pain," the voice startled the Cree girl, who raised her head, her eyes meeting with Sammy's worried expression.

"What are you doing here?" asked Sky trying to jump on her feet, but she couldn't.

"I come here for my daily zombie apocalypse routine, remember? You even help me with some exercises," replied Sammy timidly.

Sky made an effort and stood up. She then forced a smile and looked at her friend. "Sorry, I was distracted and just spouted the first thing that came to my mind."

"No problem but, are you ok? You seemed to be in a lot of pain a moment ago," asked the younger twin again, walking toward her friend.

"Of course, thanks for your concern," lied the athlete, who leaned against a tree to rest her back.

The younger twin still has her doubts, but she was too excited by the news to give deeper thought to her friend's actions. She looked right and left to make sure Amy wasn't around before she started talking.

"Well, I wanted to tell you something. But you have to keep it a secret," said Sammy blushing like a tomato but also smiling with excitement.

"My lips are sealed," replied the Cree girl, mimicking a zipper closing her lips.

The twin took a moment to calm herself. "Last night, after Topher used his idol to save me, we talked and…"

"And?" repeated Sky oblivious to the twin attitude.

"And he told me he likes me!" said Sammy in a loud and excited tone.

Sky blanched. After all that happened in Zeke's challenge she forgot about this. "And what did you tell him?"

"I told him ok." She then panicked, "Not literally, that would be too lame. I told him 'I accept I want to go out with you.' So we're officially a couple," added the twin, her face beaming.

"Congratulations," said Sky in a cracking voice. "But are you sure? You are both competing to win the million."

"Yes, I'm sure. I honestly don't care too much about winning, and as long as I can outlast Amy, I'll be happy," replied Sammy, smiling.

Sky shook her head. "But you'll be competing with each other. It will surely strain your relationship."

"Don't worry Sky. We love each other and if Topher wants to win so much, I'll vote myself out," said Sammy. There was no doubt or bitterness in her words. She just stated it as if it was obvious.

But the twin words hurt Sky. She just remembered an occasion in the past that someone also voted himself out of the game for her. If only she was honest with him.

Sky, stop this. You're only jealous of Sammy. Just be happy for her and watch from afar. Thought the Cree girl, standing and opening his arms.

"Sorry, Sammy. I'm just shocked by the news. Forget what I said, congratulations!" said the athlete, hugging the twin.

"Thanks a lot Sky," replied Sammy, hugging Sky strongly.

But the Cree girl winced after the hug, her back hurting after the embrace. And this time Sammy noticed it.

"Sky, are you hurt somewhere?" said the twin looking at her friend with a worried expression.

But the athlete avoided her gaze, looking shyly at the side. "I don't know what you mean, I…"

"Please don't lie to me Sky, you winced just now after I hugged you. Did you get hurt in yesterday's challenge?" The twin tone was serious. She knew that Sky was hurt and just wanted her friend to accept her help.

"You win. I hurt my back yesterday," Sky lied, but it was true she hurt her lower back. "And I'm afraid that it'll not heal for tomorrow's challenge."

Sammy looked at her with a thoughtful expression. "That's awful, and I understand why you don't want people to notice it. Well don't worry. I know a home remedy to help with back pain. We learned it from my grandma."

"Thanks Sammy, but don't worry too much about it. After resting a little I'm sure that I'll be fine," said the athlete who wasn't sure about the 'home remedy.'

"Don't be shy, just follow my instructions, and you will be as good as new," insisted the younger twin.

After a moment, Sky was lying face down on the ground while Sammy stood barefooted at her side.

"Now I just need to step on your back, so take a deep breath and don't worry," said Sammy trying to sound calmer, but it was the first time she stepped on someone that wasn't her grandma or Amy.

"Ok, but be careful. I don't want to end worse after the remedy," said Sky, taking a deep breath as instructed.

The twin waved her hand. "Don't worry, Ok I'll start now."

Sammy then put her foot on Sky lower back and pressed it. There was an audible crack, but also Sky felt the pain fading.

"I can't believe it Sammy, it's working," exclaimed the Cree girl shocked.

"I told you," replied the twin winking. "Now wait for a moment. I'll finish in a moment."

The twin continued stepping on the Sky, the Cree girl moaning now and then as she was feeling better.

But none of them noticed the man that was walking toward the forest and made a u-turn after watching the scene.

Confessional: Brick

"I think everyone is free to do in their private life as they want. I'm a little ashamed of intruding into Sammy and Sky's privacy like that," said Brick blushing a lot. You could see steam coming out from his head, "but maybe I should talk with them because it's not a good idea to do that in an international show with a lot of cameras."

Cody was eating in the dining hall. He was waiting for Heather at the picnic tables after his encounter with Charlotte, but the Queen Bee didn't appear. He was now wondering what happened with her when someone else sat at the other extreme of his table.

The Codemeister raised his head and looked at Lilly, who was eating alone. She looked timidly at him and then turned away once their eyes met.

He hesitated for a moment. Should he call her? It was true there were no teams anymore, but maybe she was waiting for Amy or another friend.

As Cody was trying to make a decision, someone else sat in front of him.

"You look worried. Did something happen?" asked Courtney, raising an eyebrow.

"Hello Courtney," replied Cody, he looked at Lilly one more time before answering her question. "No, I just couldn't find Heather this morning. I hoped to play some games and recover some of the money I owe her. Have you seen her?"

The Latin girl looked at the treehugger that was looking at them. But as with Cody, when their eyes meet, she turned away blushing. So she decided to ignore her.

"No, I haven't. Heather was sleeping when I woke up, but after that I haven't seen her. Maybe she is with Sammy?" The Latin girl tried to eat her meal. It was as bad as usual. Even after 1 month of eating it, it tasted as terrible as the first day.

Cody sighed. "You're probably right. I wanted to talk with her about the next elimination".

"The next elimination? It's a little too early to think about that, don't you think?" replied Courtney. It was funny because the old Courtney would already have an ideal elimination order and some contingency plans ready just in case.

The treehugger looked at them again and turned away again. This was starting to get on the Latin girl's nerves, even if her companion seemed unaware of her internal drama.

"It's not too early. Think about it, we're already in the merge. So everyone is free game except the ones gaining immunity," explained Cody who had more problems eating his 'food' than Courtney. "And with Alejandro out of the game, Duncan seems like the best option."

"cough, cough, cough," Courtney was shocked by the sudden mention of the delinquent and choked with her slob. She quickly drank some water and swallowed it.

"Are you ok?" asked Cody worried. Lilly was also looking at her lowering her eyebrows.

Courtney nodded before talking in a raspy voice. "Yes, I just ate too fast." Then she turned to face the treehugger. "And Lilly, do you need something?"

"Yes girl, come and sit with us. There is no one else in the mess hall anyway," said Cody patting the place next to him, taking advantage of Courtney's question.

Lilly opened her mouth to say something and closed it. She opened it again and closed it again. Finally, she took her tray and sat next to Cody. It was enough time for Courtney to regret talking to her 3 times.

"Thank you," said Lilly in her low and polite voice. "Also Miss Courtney, sorry about yesterday. I can assure you it was nothing personal."

"You don't need to apologize. It was JUST a challenge, nothing personal as you said," replied Courtney rolling her eyes. But her harsh tone didn't match with what she was saying.

Lilly nodded making a sheepishly smile. "Not everyone thinks like you. Amy's angry with me after I beat her yesterday. I don't think she will forgive me."

"What? Did she tell you that?" asked Cody slamming his hand on the table. That was totally heartless.

"No, she didn't tell me. But I'm sure she's angry," replied the treehugger looking sadly at her plate. "So I just avoided her."

The former CIT shook her head. "Then you can't be sure she's angry. And avoiding her isn't the solution either."

"Courtney is right Lilly. Talk with her. I'm sure it's mostly a misunderstanding. You're very close friends and I don't think a challenge can ruin that," added Cody, remembering the time in which Amy asked for his autograph in Lilly's place.

Lilly nodded wildly. "I'll try to talk with her. Thank you Miss Courtney, Cody." She was afraid but hearing Cody supporting words gave her the courage to face her former friend.

After that, the conversation was more ordinary. Lilly talked about the show asking both Cody and Courtney questions about the things that happened behind the cameras. Then each of them went their own way.

Confessional: Courtney

The Latin girl was scowling, with a fist under her chin. "I can't believe I'll say this, but I'm thankful that Lilly was here because that way I have time to think about what to do with Duncan. I forget that the alliance was made to eliminate him and Alejandro. Now I have to figure a way to keep him in the game. At least for now."

Brick was jogging on the beach, he had a lot of things in his mind, and none of them was the weird incident with Sky and Sammy some hours ago.

Yesterday Alejandro was eliminated. The Spaniard was his friend and confidant. It was true that after Zoey's elimination he began to have his doubts about if he was honest or just using the cadet. And as the days passed, his doubts increased.

And also, Brick despised the way the Spaniard managed the last eliminations. It was a game, but the way he handled the votes was cold and ruthless, ignoring the other contestant's effort and feelings. Yesterday was the last time he voted with Alejandro, but Brick never expected his friend to be the one going home.

But unexpectedly, his elimination hurt him. Even after his betrayals and his hidden agendas, Brick considered him his friend.

Without realizing it, tears were running across his face. It wasn't because Alejandro was eliminated, but because if he talked with him and made him change his ways, maybe Alejandro would still be in the game.

"I can't believe it G.I. Brick, are you crying?" a mocking voice asked the cadet, who immediately recognized it.

"These aren't tears. It's just some seawater that the wind carried against my face," lied the cadet, taking off his shades and drying his tears with his arm. "And you have to do something with that nasty personality, Duncan."

The delinquent smirked, walking toward the cadet. "Don't be so serious. It was just a joke."

"I'm not laughing," replied Brick in a stern tone.

"Ok, I got it." Duncan defensively raised his hand. "Anyway you seem to be missing our Spanish friend."

Brick's frown was replaced by a pair of wide eyes. "I'm surprised. How did you find out?

"G.I. Brick, you're an open book. You and that snake were together all the time, and you surely believe him when he pretended to be your friend," replied Duncan, shrugging and closing his eyes.

"Alejandro wasn't pretending. He's my friend. So I thank you for your concern but I don't appreciate people that slander my friends," said the cadet glaring at the delinquent.

Duncan scratched his head, sighing. "Ok, maybe I went too far. I don't trust that man, but maybe he was really your friend. Who knows? Whatever…"

There was a small silence. Brick then smiled and nodded. "As long as you understand it's fine."

"And now that your friend is out, what are you planning to do? Will you align with the wicked twin or the feeble twin?" asked Duncan. His smile was still there, but his eyes had a serious expression.

"Neither. I'm tired of alliances. I would align to vote for someone that deserves it or for a good cause. But just voting together to eliminate the other contestants doesn't feel right. So I'll vote alone from now on," replied the cadet, making a small smile.

The delinquent chuckled. He then patted Brick on the shoulder. "You're really something else. Are you aware of the rules of this game? You only say that because you have won the last two challenges. But your no alliance idea will fall apart when you're on the chopping block."

"That's not true! I prefer to be eliminated than betraying my principles," Brick lowered his eyebrows in an angry frown, putting the delinquent's hand away.

"Easy, I'm not trying to insult you. But I don't think that voting to eliminate someone in an elimination game is a betrayal or a question of principles. It's a strategy, or you would attack an enemy without a plan just to be fair?" Duncan put his hands behind his head but never stopped looking at the cadet.

Brick was cautious. After all it could be that Duncan was trying to fool him. Even then he knew that the punk had a point.

"And you. Don't you feel anything for ganging against a fellow contestant to vote them out without any reason?" asked Brick. That was the main problem he found with last night's elimination.

"No. It's not like they'll be hurt if they go out. And in the end, only one can win the money," replied Duncan shrugging.

It was clear they would never look at each other's eyes. Both stood quiet, Brick wondering how they could be so different.

"Don't think too much about it G.I. Brick. If you feel so bad just give part of the money to the others once you win the game," said the delinquent in a snarky tone.

There was another moment of silence, but this time Brick nodded and make a big smile. "You're totally right! There is no use in just beating yourself. I should just focus on winning and if I feel I hurt someone, try to compensate them. Thanks for the advice, soldier."

"Whatever floats your boat," replied Duncan. There was no use in explaining he was being ironic.

"Also I wanted to ask you a question," Brick expression relaxed, feeling closer to Duncan. "Why did you start using my name." Brick scratched his head, making a small smile. "Of course, I prefer Brick Alone to G.I. Brick, but I'm curious about why."

The delinquent just shrugged. "For the same reason I do everything. Because I want to."

Brick decided to not pursue the matter. And both went back to the cabins.

Confessional: Duncan

"Yes, I wanted to try to get the vote of the tin soldier, but the guy is really square. I can't believe he agonizes so much about voting. Anyway he beat me in yesterday's challenge. So I may respect him a little more now. But don't get used to it," said Duncan folding his arms and leaning against the confessional wall.

It was almost sunset. Amy needed some time to think about yesterday alone, so she spent the day doing her cheerleader exercises and then resting on the beach. There was something magical in just lying while enjoying the summer warmth under a beach umbrella.

Yesterday was a nightmare. After a month she won. At last Sammy didn't win immunity and she had enough votes to cut her out of the game. Their bet was over and she WON.

But her victory was short-lived. Topher saved her. WHY? Her hard-earned victory disappeared in a second. Chris' fan stole her moment of glory.

And to rub salt in her wound, the one that took the boot instead of Amy was Alehunkdro. She knew the guy was dangerous and probably planned to use her and then betray her like Brutus betrayed Waldorf[1]. But for now he was an extra vote, so his elimination was bad news for her. It was clear what she needed to do.

"A-At last I found you… *huff* I have been l-looking for you all day."

Amy glared in the tired voice's direction and found Lilly, heavy breathing, and her hair disheveled.

"Sometimes I also need time for myself," replied the older twin. "What do you need?"

"Y-you, you don't have to be like this. I-It's unfair that you're angry about yesterday," stuttered Lilly, gathering all the courage she could.

Amy's face turned red, the vein in her temple pulsing, "WHAT DID YOU SAY!"

Lilly gulped audibly but there was no way back. "That you're being unfair. It's a competition game, all of us are in this to win. It's unfair you despise other's effort."

"Other's effort? And what about MY effort? My feelings don't matter?" shouted the older twin, walking toward the treehugger.

"I-I didn't…" Lilly began to walk backward, intimidated by Amy's demeanor.

The old twin kept walking toward her, her expression darkened by her anger. "Why must I be ignored so she can be happy? Why must I be left alone? Why am I the one who trusted but ended alone? If this life is about to eat or be eaten, I'll be the one that devours Samey. She was the one that betrayed me."

"Sa-Samey!?" asked Lilly in a low voice. "I was talking about yesterday's challenge. Not about Samey."

The older twin stood still, frozen. Her frown was replaced by wide eyes and the red of her face turned white.

"I-I was afraid you were mad because I won yesterday's challenge. And I wanted to m-make sure we're still friends…" continued the treehugger, her eyes filled with tears.

And as a broken puppet Amy sat on the ground. She didn't realize that Lilly wasn't talking about her sister.

"Don't worry about your victory yesterday. More than angry I'm surprised you could win the immunity," said Amy in a neutral tone rubbing her temple and trying to understand what just happened.

The redhead walked toward her and embraced the cheerleader. "Everything is ok. If you want to talk about it I'm all ears."

They stood there for a moment, and then Amy pushed her away. "There is no need Lilly. Just don't dare to tell what happened here to anyone, ok?"

"No problem b-but we're on international TV. So this will probably be broadcasted…" replied Lilly in her low and polite tone.

"Augh! You're right. Stupid Chris," Amy cursed her luck, but there was no use in getting angry. "Anyway, don't mention this until Samey is eliminated, ok?"

Lilly nodded wildly. Then she began to twiddle with her fingers. "That means you're not angry with me after yesterday."

"NO! I AM NOT ANGRY," Shouted Amy glaring at her again. "Now let's go back to the cabin. We need to be ready for tomorrow's challenge."

They went to the cabins. Behind the girl's cabin, Amy noticed Sammy talking with Topher. Both looking at each other like idiots.

"They're so cute together," said Lilly absentmindedly, blanching as soon as she noticed Amy's frown. "I mean not cute. They're so not cute together."

Amy shrugged, "Stop getting scared. Of course they look great together. Samey is just a little uglier version of me." And then went to the cabin.

"You're not interrupting them? Sorry, I mean, ehm… I don't want to interrupt them but I was sure you will…"

"Calm down, I understand even with all your gibberish," said Amy rolling her eyes. "And not, there is no need to interrupt them."

Lilly nodded, but somehow the smile on Amy's face was scarier than her glares. The treehugger didn't know what her friend was thinking, but it definitely wasn't something good.

Confessional: Amy

"So? Yes, maybe I'm a little touchy after Samey was saved yesterday. But I just need to get her out in the next elimination. And about that Topher, I know what he's planning, but he's in for a surprise," said Amy making a small and cruel smile.

The next morning, Sammy jumped out of bed. She overslept! It was the first time since she started the zombie apocalypse training that she overslept.

But it was understandable. After all, she almost didn't sleep the night before. How could she? She was dating the guy she liked. It was like a dream come true.

There was nobody else in the cabin except Heather that was putting on her make-up.

"Good Morning Samantha," said the Queen Bee while powdering her nose, "You seem upset. Did you have a nightmare?"

"Hello Heather. No, it's just that it's already 10:00 am. And I didn't start my routine," complained the cheerleader while changing her pajamas for her tracksuit.

Heather chuckled and turned to face her. "Only that? C'mon it's only one day. And we'll surely have a challenge today, so you will get all the exercise you need."

"It's not th…" but the younger twin was interrupted by the sound of the loudspeakers.

"Ni hao campers. Please come to the Eternal palace at the entrance of the forest for today's challenge," said Chris in a fake Chinese accent.

Heather rolled her eyes. "Ugh, I just hope it's not as bad as the Chinese challenge in World Tour. My stomach hurt just remembering that."

"Don't worry, I doubt Chris will repeat a challenge," said Sammy with a smile. She then looked at the ground, worried. "Except if it's one of those blast to the past challenges. Then it will be probably the same."

The Queen Bee blinked a couple of times but decided to not comment about what Sammy just said. "You're right. Anyway how are you and Topher doing? You make a really good couple!"

"REALLY! I mean t-thanks you," replied Sammy blushing like a tomato, "but how did you find out?"

You just told me right now, thought Heather, but it was better to play the nice girl. "It was too obvious. You look so happy together. Maybe you should invite him to our alliance."

The younger twin panicked at her words. She wanted Topher and her to go as further as they could into the game. But she didn't want to make him think she is only dating him for his vote. "Are you sure? It's not dangerous to include too many people in an alliance?"

"I'm sure. If he's your boyfriend, then I trust him," replied Heather putting an arm across Sammy's shoulder. "Trust yourself Samantha. We need to win this competition and beat your sister. And every vote counts."

"Yes, of course. Thanks Heather," replied the younger twin, still hesitating about the idea of including her boyfriend in the alliance.

Confessional: Sammy

Sammy's looking at the ground with a distressed expression. "I understand that getting Topher in the alliance is the smart thing to do. But after what happened between Sky and Dave I'm afraid of ruining my relationship just for the show. But Heather is my friend. What should I do?"

The twelve remaining campers went in front of what seemed like a black Chinese castle[2]. Inside they found many interns dressed in cheap card box Chinese armors.

In front of them was Chris dressed in the same blue Chinese emperor costume he used on World tour, but his fake beard and mustache were thinner, and he was wearing a Chinese emperor crown.

"Huan ying contestants. Today's challenge is a test of courage, smarts, and guts against 6000 years of Chinese history."

"This must be offensive in some part of the world," said Sammy rolling her eyes.

Mike nodded, "And let's not talk about the cultural misappropriation."

"SILENCE," shouted Chris, then he smiled. "The rules of the challenge are quite easy. You'll compete in various events, the worst performer in the challenge will be out of the competition. The last one standing gets immunity for today's challenge. Easy as pie or as they say in China, light and easy to lift."

The contestants looked at each other. It sounded good, TOO good to be true. There was a catch, but nobody wanted to ask about it.

Finally Courtney gave up and did it. "And what are the events about?"

"You'll find out before each one of them. We don't want to ruin the surprise," said Chris smiling proudly.

The Latin girl clicked her tongue. It didn't work. There was still something suspicious about all these.

Chris, this is too easy. What is the real challenge? Thought Topher, making a great effort to keep quiet and DON'T ask it.

"If that's all we're ready to start, sir!" said Brick in a loud voice, saluting. That was the best answer.

"Hehehe, sorry, but before starting, there is an extra condition for this challenge…" said Chris in an ominous voice.

Everyone groaned and sighed, but no one was surprised. Almost all were expecting this.

Logan and another intern carried a jade's vase and put it in front of the host.

"… And it's that you will be competing in teams of two! Because in the last challenge we noticed how you love to team up. The pairs will be chosen by drawing lots from the long huāpíng. Which means dragon vase."

The campers looked at each other, praying to not get a bad partner because that meant losing the challenge before starting. But some campers were more stressed about this than others.

"And now let's go to a break," said Chris while enjoying the atmosphere, "after it, we will make the teams. Who will team with who? And what are the events about? Find out next in Total Drama: Tyranny of the Masses."

Author Notes:

[1] Here Amy is mixing Cesar with Waldorf because she remembered the betrayed guy had a salad name.

[2]Think in a black version of the Hall of supreme harmony in the Forbidden City in Beijing.

The challenge is starting. Who will team with who? What will happen during the 5 events? And will there be angry letters about the cultural misappropriation? Find the answers to this and more questions in the next episode of Total Drama Tyranny of the masses.

And at last, Topher and Sammie are a couple. Yes, it took some chapters, and I hope it wasn't too predictable.
