feA/N Hello everyone to another chapter. I know I cruelly left you on a cliff hanger. i think when I wrote it, it sounded better in my head but it seem it came out shorter than I thought. But I digress, I hope you all enjoy this next chapter. Not much stuff to say but we are almost at 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I can't believe I've been working on this story for that long and stuck with it.
As always please enjoy and feel free to review.
Chapter 47
Two Days Ago~
Waiting was the most excruciating activity she went through. Makoto cleaned her gun, stitch the holes in her clothes, and brushed down Anat taking the long time frame of two whole hours at most. The other Thieves were also resting in their hideout a mile away from the city. All in all, it was a clean getaway when it came to the stash.
Makoto gave the money and gold bars to Morgana for counting, but she held tight to Ren's satchel. It was a worn-down bag but still reliable. Inside was some money, tools, mementos, and a journal. Peaking around she was by herself on the rock near the camp. All still preoccupied with letting the time pass.
Scanning through, she could see it was mostly filled and dated. Flipping to a random page Makoto decides to read the entry of that date.
November 1884
We had reached an abandoned farm to stay the night as the storm persists outside. Morgana's fever has not settled at all and it worries me. The last hour he is having trouble swallowing fluids. I'm staying up the night to keep vigilante over him. I don't want to lose any more family.
She skips further ahead to this year.
Spring 1885
We have a new member today that joined. She calls herself Makoto Nijima. She is a feisty one, but the look in her eyes is similar to mines. I won't lie and say I didn't see her beauty at first glance. She says her wounds are healing nicely from the gunshot wound and has done her share of work around the gang.
I must continue to stay focus if only so I can stop getting lost in our conversations. She is somehow very easy to talk to and I found myself on more than one occasion discussing topics I never brought up to Boss or Morgana.
Makoto then decides to flip to his most recent entry.
Fall 1885
I grabbed one of the papers this morning while we continue our journey to Sae Nijima. The articles have been discussing the upcoming election. The same one Okumura had tried to enter before his untimely death. Something had caught my eye with this issue.
It was a photograph of the leading politician on the front page, Masayoshi Shido. Something about him raised the hair on the back of my neck. I also can't shake the feeling of Deja Vu, that I've seen him before this. Maybe from another photograph? I am hesitant to ask Akechi about my thoughts as he may have had rocky interactions with high-profile clients. But the Detective knowledge has been invaluable for us. His help has damaged his own Career sadly and until we can get to the bottom of this he is a rouge just like us.
It's quite unfortunate we are on two sides of the law. I think we would've made good friends.
Closing the journal, she tucks it back safely in his satchel. She mostly was in the wrong to read Ren's personal thoughts, but curiosity got the better of her.
But something he said made her wonder. She heard of the name Shido before. He was all over the paper a few months ago, rising in popularity quickly. The articles always talked about how fresh and new he was to the political scene. Maybe a blurb here and there would reference the tragic fire that took his family.
Makoto fell back into a boring mood once more waiting for time to click faster.
"Ah, there you are Makoto," the woman in question looks to see the Okumura heiress finding her alone and sulking.
"Haru, did you need something?"
"Yes, Dr. Takemi wanted to collect some Marigold flowers for her medicine. She was running low. The others seem occupied, so I didn't want to bother them."
"It's alright. I…..needed a distraction anyway."
"There's no shame in needing a distraction. Sometimes a breather from the happenings of life is all we need. Besides Makoto, flower picking is a pastime of mine. I'm sure it will be just as calming to you," the young woman tried to encourage her.
"Thank you Haru," Makoto replied back with a smile feeling a bit better.
"Have things been acclimating well for you?" They had walked out to a flower patch in the woods to gathered ingredients.
"Yes, all is well. I even help Dr. Takemi earlier with chopping wood. Though she did take the AX out of my hand claiming I was scaring her."
"What made her so scared?"
"She said I looked too happy swinging the AX around." the Okumura heir said puzzled.
"An AX can be a deadly weapon in the right hands. If you're comfortable with it, we can always get a modified one for fighting. There should be a weapons shop we can go to when Ren's comes back."
Haru giggles as she grabbed the flowers they were looking for, "Chopping wood was a thrilling experience." If only her teammates knew how gentle and dangerous she was coming outside her sheltered life.
The two young women talked some more as they completed Dr. Takemi's task. Though as hard as she tried to work around the topic further, Ren popped up again.
"So you two are seeing each other now?" Haru questions the younger Nijima as they walked back.
"Yes, only officially for a little bit now. Though I hope longer once this mission is over. Time cannot move fast enough it seems."
"This day is almost over Makoto. Once we get back to camp let's round-up everyone for a game of Tycoon to pass the time. Though Ryuji is still teaching me how to play." she ponders.
Makoto let out a small chuckle, "That would be quite fun. I need to get revenge on Yusuke for stealing my victory last time." She joked. Her mood was becoming better but tomorrow was another day of waiting.
Sleep would not come to her that night. Going over the plans in her head over and over and unable to find a concerning flaw. Drawing out the SIU went as planned with no changes. The threat of an attempted robbery caused many agents to be stationed at the Casino to investigate or to prevent a repeat. And if the prisoner had no one visiting that 3rd day, it would be in grab Sae and Ren and out. Simple right? But her stomach wouldn't settle. She drank water but the nerves never got to her like this. Not even when she tracked down Kaneshiro all on her own.
"Ren's going to come out of this fine," she mutters under her breath.
Agonizing day turns into night, back into the day. The 3rd day. Akechi and Makoto would strike under the cover of darkness while the rest would be hiding near the edge of town, ready for another quick getaway.
Makoto can feel her heart slamming against her ribs as she tries to control her breathing. They once again had to take the sewer underground to sneak unseen around the city. A different exit by the SIU was where they departed the foul smell of waste.
"There an entry here we can still crawl through. Part of the wall was never finished from an explosion a few months back. That should get us past basement security and into the cells below," Akechi details to her. She was following closely behind and just as tense making sure no one saw them.
Finding the section of blocks the former Detective describes, the two crawl through slowly as it was a tight fit to get through. Shimming on her back, she kicks herself forward to reach the inside of the cell.
Akechi swings the empty cage door open and proceeds through, hand on his gun. "These two bottom floors are for special prisoners, everyone else would be in normal lockup. Unless they caught someone else, Ren should be the only one this low underground. Take the stairs down and get him and come back up to escape this through this cell. "
"Ok, but what about you?" Makoto asked.
"I'm going to find your sister and head up, we'll have to give her the long story once we pull this off. She might come back fighting." Walking towards the staircase to take their desire path, the sound of clacking shoes alerted them.
Motioning the younger Nijima to hide on the other side of the doorway, they would ambush the unexpected visitor. Someone wasn't supposed to be coming down here. As the person was making the turn to the descending stairs, Akechi grabbed the perpetrator and tried to bring them down. What he wasn't expecting was an elbow to the ribs and his feet stomped on.
"SIS!"
"MAKOTO!?"
"Sae?"
"AKECHI!? What the hell are two doing!" She hissed angrily under her breath, "You're wanted for arrest and you drag Makoto along. How could you!"
"We're here to save you and Ren, your lives are in danger. Everything will be explained on the way, I promise Sis."
"You're trying to save the outlaw? What nonsense are you talking about? If you're caught you'll be hanged too, I cannot allow that."
"Then why are you walking down here Sae? I thought no one gets visitors on the day before the execution."
Calming down slightly, Sae Njima gathered herself before replying back, "Something he said yesterday struck me. I merely wanted to ask one final question to get my answer."
"Then we can get it on the way out, lets move." Akechi motion Makoto to follow him with the elder Nijima hot on their heels.
"You two are not allowed down here, Makoto, you must leave at once," She tried pleading with her younger sibling.
Reaching the ground floor, the Nijima's sisters and Akechi burst into the narrow long hallway with a single cell at the end. But they soon discovered they were not the only ones there.
A man in a black cloak with burn scars on his face continued to walk towards them without regard.
"You….." Akechi stumbled in astonish, "You're not supposed to be here. You need to leave now Loki."
".… You're not supposed to be here either Detective."
Both Sae and Akechi's eyes went wide over hearing the man they were told was mute speak.
"You can talk?" Sae couldn't keep the surprise from her voice, "But the Captain told me—"
"The Captain told you whatever he wanted you to hear. And you believed it without question."
Akechi pulled his pistol and pointed it to his former partner. What other secrets did Loki have that went under Akechi's nose? If he was the Black Cloak, could all the murders in this giant case be tied to him?
"I'll ask you one more time, you shouldn't be here. So why are you here?"
Loki let a smirk smear his ruined face, "My employer wishes for me to deliver a message to our most esteemed guest. Consider my message…..delivered."
Makoto's heart drops to the ground, the air in her lungs gone as they exhale into a painful scream, "NO!" she bolts ahead running past the Black Cloak without care, just as he didn't raise a finger to stop her. After all his task was done.
Akechi wanted to fire at Loki immediately but feared the bullet could ricochet to Makoto. The continued betrayal of those who Akechi thought were his allies, his coworkers were angering him. How could things go so right so wrong fast? The former Detective couldn't let Loki get away with this and did the next best thing in this narrowest of hallways.
Akechi swung his fist at the traitor, who dodges the first punch but felt contact on his stomach. Goro pushed him to the wall and tried to swing jabs, but the other man was an enforcer for SIU for a reason. He was built larger and intimidating easily overpowering the smaller Akechi. Picking the Detective up, he threw him hard into the opposite wall as Akechi fell into a clump before getting up. Attempting to get another shot in was becoming difficult. There wasn't much room for two people to fight much less 3. As the un-scarred man was being thrown around like a rag doll.
Sae tried to join in to cause her own damage, surprising Loki with a few kicks. Loki felt the heel connect to his chin staggering him a few steps, this opened up Akechi's chance to deliver more punches. The Detective landed three solid licks to Loki's face before the man returns grabbing Akechi's head and smashing down hard. Akechi felled down backward dazed, Nijima tried to go for an opening again before Loki spun her hard into the wall as well. With both combatants down, he ran for his escape. His job completed.
Makoto's lungs were burning as she made it to the door. She can hear the sound of fighting behind her, but all that matter was what was in front on the other side of this door.
Finding it unlocked, she slowly pushes the door open. On the ground laid Ren's motionless, back facing the floor.
"REN!" Makoto cries. Rushing to his body, she drops to her knees and cradles his head in her lap. A bullet wound adorns his left chest.
"Ren! Please no, please wake up! You promise!" the pain in her chest was constricting tightly, her vision was blurry with the hot tears running down her cheek. She couldn't stop them anymore as they ran down freely. They had failed, they failed horribly. How would she tell the others? How they torture and murder him in cold blood? it wasn't how this was supposed to end. That dream of sitting together under that tree by the house he grew up in was dimming from her mind. A future memory that will never come to pass.
Makoto continues to crush him close to her, kissing his forehead as she brushed the hair from his eyes. As her sorrowful cries were muffled by his locks, she suddenly stopped.
".…top…..ing…..me." Making swore she was hearing things. Her cries simmered down into hiccups when she heard muttering again.
"Ma…..koto…stop…..sha….king. Hurts."
"REN!" She cries in jubilation. Makoto hugs him tightly causing him to inhale painfully. "You're alive? But….but how?"
The Phantom Thief leader gingerly props himself up on the wall. He was indeed shot in the chest as the bullet hole through his duster coat tells the story. Unbuttoning his vest and shirt underneath, the bullet was lodge on the surface of his chest. Lodge deep enough to cause pain but not enough to hit any vital organs.
"Well…..that's interesting." Patting his vest's breast pocket down, he pulls out his Father's old pocket watch he always carried. The sentimental metal took the brunt of the shot, a bullet size hole damages its center, permanently making it irreparable.
"Your watch, it stopped the shot!?"
"Slowed yes, stopped…..no. I wish…I can stop getting shot." Not only was the bullet causing pain, but he was still sore from the prior "interrogation."
"I don't know if Sis and Akechi stopped that Loki guy but we need to leave fast." Makoto moves to put one arm under his shoulder but he stops her momentarily.
"Wait…." he shakily brings his hand to her cheek and guides her towards him. A kiss to remind him this was real, that he wasn't dreaming. How he longed for her soft lips, to run his hand in her hair again. Everything he could think of to ignore the pain, "Ok….now we can go." She leans in and rests her forehead on his to gather themselves.
"What is this!" the angry yell of one Sae Nijima broke the two apart. She and Akechi were huffing out of breath once they reached the enclosed room.
"It seems….I can only cheat death so many times." Ren tried to joke. Their secret is blown.
"I'll explain later, just help me carry him, Sis. Akechi, please grabbed his gun belt hanging up over there."
"You want me to help you break out the leader of a notorious gang!?"
"I'm trying to save his life, just like he was trying to save yours."
Makoto, taking Ren's left side lifts him up as Sae reluctantly took his right as Akechi was their point of attack heading back the way they came.
"What happened to Black Cloak?" the younger Nijima asked.
"He got away, that bastard. And the Captain knew too, this whole time."
"If his target was Ren, it would only be a matter of time before he'll try to come after us to clean up the mess," Makoto explained as best she could. Thankful the alarm had yet to be tripped, but they weren't out the City, caution was still needed.
"Ren, do you think you can crawl through here?"
Mhm-mm," he struggles but pushes through the crack in the wall followed by Makoto, Sae, and Akechi.
"It's going to be tricky keeping him stable in the sewer ledges. Stay in the shadows and low, we'll have to meet with the others above ground."
Hobbling through the destitute-filled alleyways, the painful grunts of Ren Amamiya could be heard as they made an escape attempt. The elder Amamiya was trying his best to stay conscious as the last of his energy was slipping away.
Makoto's scarf was wrapped around his chest to slow the bleeding, but the bullet was still there painfully lodged. Ren needed to get to Dr. Takemi quickly.
"Mako…to."
"Shh, save your energy we're almost to the city's outskirts."
"Ugh.." The Phantom Thief leader passed out causing Makoto to stumble with the added weight.
"Hey! Ren Hey! Stay with me, stay with us." She taps his face a few times to wake him. She knew he was at the edge of exhaustion, how hard it was to fight through the sores, the bruises, and broken. A man can only survive so much.
Lifting himself back up, he slings his own arm over Makoto's shoulders as Sae helps his balance on the other.
"THERE THEY ARE!" yelled a voice behind them. A group of SIU agents had tracked them down from the wall, there goes their clean getaway.
"We've been spotted, we gotta pick up the pace. Give him to me." Akechi grabbed Ren's arm and leg lifting him up on his back. He was being fired at by people he once called allies again. But with the Captain's bounty on him, all those bridges have burned.
They were being chased by a squad of 10 as the former Detective dodge the shots and keeping Ren steady on his back. Makoto was providing cover fire to slow them taking out whoever she could to slow them down.
On the outskirts, they could hear horses galloping quickly worried they were being flanked. But instead, they were greeted with familiar faces. The riders a sight for sore eyes.
"We started to hear gunfire, so we moved in as fast as we could. A good decision it seems." the artist said to the quartet. Ryuji, Ann, and Morgana also joined them.
Morgana had Anat and Hereward's reins in his hand relinquishing them to their owners.
"Hey….Mona," Ren struggles to say as he sees his younger brother through his swollen eye. The younger sibling was concerned as he's never seen his brother in this terrible of a state. The elder brother needed help to climb on top of Makoto's mare. He was laboring just on the small task alone. Sweat broke out in the cold weather as it was harder and harder to breathe.
Makoto hopped in front wrapping Ren's arms around her waist. He rested his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes holding as tightly as his muscles would allow.
Yusuke had offered his hand to help up the elder Nijima sister behind him. Akechi quickly joins the others on Hereward as he kicked his horse into movement. The squad was closing in on them as Makoto's quick attempts from slowing them down were failing.
"Let's go," Makoto shouted. The others quickly followed into the night chased by law enforcement still trying to stop their escape attempt. "Hang on Ren, it's going to be a bit rough."
The Phantom Thieves were like a stampede running through the wide roads. SIU agents still shooting back in a futile attempt to stop them.
The agents that did manage to get a horse to take them down were quickly taken out by Morgana. Ann took out her own horse unit that was chasing them. They only had a few left to deal with.
Ren was feeling miserable as the jolting on the horse was not doing him any favors. He could feel every bruise and broken something in his body. Even though the straining in his muscle hurt, he held tightly to Makoto in front of him. Anything to distract from the pain.
"We're losing them, we're almost to freedom brother." The two remaining forces believe the chase was no longer worth it after riding a few miles out into the pitch-black night, deciding to turn back to the Metropolis.
"I think they're gone, we should pave another way before heading back to the camp. We don't want any more SIU shadows." Makoto says giving the orders in Ren's would be placed. They had escaped successfully but what else would be the price instead?
It was late into the night at their camp, but hardly anyone could sleep. Sae Nijima was wary of those that surrounded her, even Akechi. Their focus lied on the medical wagon where the leader was being treated.
Upon seeing the gang return, Dr. Takemi had cleaned her tools and got to work quickly on the elder brother. "This is the second time in as many months I've had to pull a bullet from you. You're getting real lucky my guinea pig."
"You go out of business if AUGH!" Ren yelled as the wound was seared by a heated knife.
"Try to keep this dry if you can," Takemi instructed, ignoring her patient pain. She applied paste from her recent collection of marigold plants, it would do well against stopping infection. She wrapped his chest in gauze to protect it. The chafing of his wrist was also wrapped in ointment and bandages as the sores were painful. The ribs would need cold and heat applied. Just applying slight pressure on his ribs caused the man to grunt deeply, avoiding the loud painful yell he wishes to make.
Ren was examined at every inch, and every poke and prod by the good doctor who caused a few more yelps to come out. "I'm glad you made it out safely, given how crazy this mission was. But please do me a favor and don't come back with another gunshot wound." When the exam was over, the swelling in his eye looked a little smaller but she still recommends he keep a cold cloth on it. It would be a few days before his sight cleared up. The ribs would have to heal on their own as well but Dr. Takemi had some remedies to help soften the pain even a little.
The elder Amamiya gingerly hobbled out of Dr. Takemi's cart. Besides his pants and shoes, Ren only had his black duster coat draped over his shoulder, too sore to even put his arms through. The bandages on his upper body clear to see. Morgana had taken the liberty to clean his shirt and vest of blood and stitch the holes in the morning.
"Apologies for my indecency," he tried to tuck the coat in further to keep in body heat, but moving by the fire was helpful.
"Let me help you," Makoto help ease him down to a crossed-legged position. The licking flames taking the sting out of the cold weather. Makoto took a spare blanket and wrapped it over his coat, adding another layer of warmth. Meanwhile, Sae on the other side of the fire was watching diligently.
Ren knew they needed to talk, all of them. But he was tired and wanted to rest so badly. But she deserved her answers sooner than later, "Even though it's quite late into the night, you still want answers Miss Nijima?"
"Sis, before you ask, please know that Ren has never caused harm to me. I promise you."
Sae was a bit taken back by Makoto's statement. On the ride here, all she could think of was horrible actions that warped her sister's mind into believing the thief's word
"Then I guess I'll start with you Makoto. Why are you out here running with a gang? I thought you were in school hitting the books." The elder Njima tried to keep her voice neutral, but the anger and disappointment slipped through.
"I….I wanted to find Dad's killer. I know it was dangerous, but I wanted to be of use."
"And what use would you be if you're dead Makoto! I wouldn't even know if something happens to you." Sae had scolded the younger woman.
"If it's any consolation, your father was avenged Miss Nijima," Ren told her completely omitting that they had found Makoto, bleeding out on a river bed before they took out the murderer. "He was with Kaneshiro's gang, I was tracking down Kaneshiro's connection to Samuel. It's how Makoto came to us."
"So you held her hostage to keep her quiet."
"No Sis, I decided to go willingly with them. Ren even tried to convince me otherwise. But…I had this feeling that I was doing the right thing. I knew there'll be a risk, I just thought it would be better to ask for forgiveness later."
"Makoto's can also hold her own in a fight. Hate to be on her bad side again," Ryuji tried to throw in his 2 cents.
"Even though life's been rough, she hasn't lost her kindness either. Just like the rest of the Phantom Thieves, they have kept me safe since my father's death," Haru told her once house guest.
It brought up another subject Sae had in mind. Though she was glad the young heiress was unharmed since the reported kidnapping, there still were conflicting stories about the thieves. Some say they were ruthless murderers yet the very same people are said to be kind folk.
"We're not Okumura's murderers if that's what you're thinking," Ren had correctly guessed right.
"If you didn't. then who did?"
"Loki," Akechi spoke up for the first time. He was just as tired after being thrown around by his former SIU partner. "He and Captain are suspicious and are likely part of the same organization Ren here is hunting down. I was skeptical myself, but the evidence is damning."
"Then where does that leave me with you all?"
"We suspected you were their next target Miss Nijima. Even before we talked in that room, you had doubt whispering in your ear didn't you."
Sae had declined to answer the gang leader.
"It was mostly Akechi's plan to rescue you from SIU, but there was another reason for getting caught on purpose."
"Another reason?"
"Ren had a hunch we could get Black Cloak to expose himself to us."
"It was only a hunch Makoto, there was no certainty he would show up. But he also seemed to be the one person that doesn't like to leave any traces of his work. All of the connections to the inner circle had to be eliminated if it was compromised."
"It's why Madarame and Okumura were taken out. Kaneshiro was going to be sentenced to the noose. So he didn't act." The former Detective added.
"But he did know I was hunting this employer down, how I happen to have interaction with each close person. I knew too much in his eyes, and because Akechi was asking too many questions, they put a target on his back as well. But we wouldn't know when Black Cloak would strike again or what he looked like. So I baited him."
"You believe Captain, Okumura, Kaneshiro, and Loki are all working for the same man? The same one who tried to get Amamiya killed years ago? This is insane."Sae tried to understand what was being told to her.
"I know this all sounds crazy Sis, but you have to believe us. Not only were we determine to get you out of a dangerous situation, but to get to the bottom of all this. To right the wrongs and stop the corruption."
Sae nodded slowly, she didn't want it to make sense but it did. She looks back to Ren looking for the confirmation she wanted earlier, "So you planned on purpose to get caught, talk to me into willingly stepping away and find out the identity of the Black Cloak. That's still a lot of uncertainty in planning. What if something went wrong?"
"I know. But it was a calculated risk I was willing to take, even if I feel miserable now. But things will work out in our favor. Loki probably already knows I had escaped from SIU security. But he's also betting I couldn't survive the trip and died of blood loss. The gang would be distraught over the loss of their leader. Perhaps even try to take em out one by one."
The elder Nijima shook her head, "I don't even know what's right or who to trust anymore. I know the Captain is set in his ways, but how could I ignore the signs in front of me?"
"SIU can't be trusted until we know who all are apart of this group. Till then, Sae and I are rogues until we can clear our names."
"Now that we know who to look out for we can start going back to the original plan. But it's very late and a long day. I think we could all use some sleep."
No one argues with that as they prepare for bed around camp. Akechi gave Sae his tent as he took over Ren's. The two lovers content to spend the night in front of the campfire. But it wasn't without one final glare from Sae Nijima that there WILL be a talk with Ren and Makoto in the morning.
With the quietness upon them, the crackling of the fire and huffing of their horses could be easily heard over everyone sleeping. As much as Ren felt bone-tired he couldn't really fall into a deep sleep. Simply drifting on and off with Makoto by his side whose grip held tightly around his arm. His bare chest wrapped in gauze still expose but the fire keeps him from being too cold. Her head rested on his shoulder as she too nodded off to the sights and sounds of the fire.
"Your hands are shaking Makoto, are you cold?" he asked her. Ren could feel her head shake no.
"I'm not cold, I just…. I can't get that image out of my head. Seeing you on the ground, motionless."
"I know that had to be terrifying. But I'm still here, still breathing."
"Now I know what you felt when I was hurt from the river. This feeling of helplessness. I wish I can take away these bruises and wounds."
"While it's not instantaneous, your presence is helping keep the pain at bay," he mumbles into her hair.
A few more moments passed between them before Makoto spoke again, "You know my sister is going to grill into you tomorrow."
Ren chuckles but instantly regretting it according to his ribs, "I know, I'm not too afraid of her."
"You're afraid?"
"She causes a small sense of fear in me. She didn't get to where she was by being overly nice. I can recognize that." Ren spoke truthfully, "But I love you more than I fear her. And I'll do whatever I can to stay by your side as long as you'll have me."
Her only response was to kiss him softly. Makoto hearing a sigh of content from Ren's lips. The events of that day fading away as they shared a tender moment. The clouded sky had come and gone. But the true storm was just starting.
A/N My oh my that was fun to write. I really love reading everyone comments from last chapter on what or how Ren was going to be save. I try my best to leave little hints everywhere around the chapters to see if anyone can connect the dots. Also the cat with Loki is out of the bag. Both Sae and Akechi know the truth now and they are not happy. Sae not going to be all that accepting at first with being stuck in a gang as her job was to arrest these people. Also I kind feel bad for Akechi and Sae getting their ass kicked but the story was flowing that way so I keep it. XD
Fun fact it is possible for watches back in the 1800 to stop a bullet only if it was shot from a certain distance. If it was further away. Ren wouldn't even be hit but because they were in a room, the trajectory was only slowed which is possible in real life I learned. I thought it would be too cheesy if the bullet was completely stopped ut his muscles around that area are going to be sore. But his heart is A-OK. Its being tended to by Makoto. :3
Also I recently picked up Persona 5 strikers. I haven't played it yet( I'm still streaming Hades on my free time.) But I will get to it to see what its all about. So far I've heard good reviews. Till next time, hope you all enjoyed and feel free to review. Stay Safe!
