Three days have passed, Crosshairs and Drift decided to keep the two girls separated. Drift brings Jayce to see J.R. a couple of times a day for a half-hour before bringing her back to the other room. Bumblebee and Hound watch the two girls at night as Crosshairs helps Drift deal with nightmares.

Today the two mechs agree J.R. can go back to the room with Jayce. They didn't think Bulma would come by. Even with the good news they heard five days ago, Jayce and J.R. still worry about seeing Bulma walk into the room.
They still wouldn't relax as she looks over J.R. before talking to Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Drift, and Hound in the hallway while Vegeta watches the girls.

"Can't we tell them something now?" Hound asks, "I know Jamie ends up stable for a week before...you know, but you've been able to lower how much oxygen support Jamie needs. Surely that means she's in the clear."
"I-I don't know...," Bulma trails off; everyone knows she's worried they could be wrong about setbacks not happening.
"You know Jamie is past flatlining and getting stronger," Vegeta argues as he joins the group. No one's mad he left the girls alone. Neither of the girls can leave the room without getting caught.
"We can't go by the records," she argues, "I'd like to tell Jayce, and J.R. Jamie is recovering..."
Tears begin to roll down her face.
Crosshairs and Drift know Bulms left the decision ultimately up to them, but they want her support. What worries them is Bulma is saying no because Jamie isn't doing well today.
"She's continuing to do well on 80% oxygen support," Bulma informs everyone.
With the discussion over, Bumblebee and Hound insist. Crosshairs and Drift go see Jamie while Jayce and J.R. are quiet.

Both mechs want to ask about lung damage and how long before Jamie is breathing independently, but they continue to fear the answers. They sit by the bed and hold Jamie's hand.
I'm not ready to see if Jamie can breathe on her own, but she's close. We still have at least two weeks of this before Jamie might wake up. Bulma watches the two mechs, hating she can't give more good news yet.

Jayce doesn't know what to say after J.R. tried to kill herself. She knows yelling at her isn't what J.R. needs right now. She knows J.R. is depressed to the point she thinks death is the only way to deal with the emotional pain. J.R. is afraid to even look at Jayce; she knows she screwed up. Her pain would be gone, but Jayce would be devastated, and if they'd have to tell Jamie if she wakes up. J.R. starts crying; Jayce rushes to her bed, climbs on the bed to lie next to her. Jayce puts an arm around J.R.
"It's ok," she assures J.R.
Bumblebee watches, not liking he may have to have Crosshairs come back. He sits by Jayce's bed; watching, and ready to text Crosshairs while listening to Jayce try to calm J.R. down.
Please don't be difficult; I know you want Crosshairs and Drift to be with Jamie like the rest of us. Bumblebee frets.

Twenty minutes pass before J.R. is quiet, which does worry Bee after J.R.'s overdose until Jayce sits at the edge of the bed.
"She's asleep," Jayce assures him, "I know she feels terrible for what she did, but also is dealing with so much emotional and mental pain."
I know you also are and have been out of it in a way while dealing with Post Concussion Syndrome. Bee thinks as he texts Crosshairs, unsure if he still wants to come back. He watches Jayce walk out of the room; Hoping Hound will see her. Sure, J.R. is asleep, but he doesn't dare leave her alone.

Hound sees Jayce walk to a nearby room. She closes the door but doesn't lock it. Hound watches her sit on the floor with her head and arms resting on her knees; he knew she was crying. Hound goes into the room and sits next to her, hoping Jayce wouldn't refuse his comfort and is waiting for Drift to return.

Hound waits a few minutes before moving Jayce onto his lap. She leans on him as he hugs her.
Damn, How long before she tries to end her life? Will J.R. try again? Come on, primus, end this shit the way we want, please.
