It's Cooking Time!
Part 48
Shion and Shun had gone into the kitchen to make another dish of soup, meat dish and another vegetable dish to accompany the dumpling.
When the event time near, the tables cleaned and this time instead of 4, they arrange into 6 chairs per one table. Once again, Hades was present and had sat beside Athena. In that table, Aiolos were seated next to Aiolia, accompany both entities. Dohko was supposed to sat beside Athena but it was still vacant since the lad hadn't come back yet. Another on the other side also vacant due to the dragon saint was also missing.
In another table, Saga was fuming with both of his juniors. It was a strange sight when it was Milo who was there to bail both Shaka and Camus out of his wrath. Kanon could only watch the even unfold in amusement while Hyoga... For the love of God; didn't believe that his sensei had been neglecting his duty and opted to help Mu but come to understanding that what he had done was to help a friend.
Another table, Deathmask had been admiring a new bottle of wine given by Alderbaran. He couldn't wait to pair it with his pasta. Seiya had slumped onto the table and sigh in relief to finally out from hellish work. Deathmask was scary. Scary because he never saw that side of him. That man indeed was good at his job. Both Shura and Aphro were also there chitchatting while waiting for the last two people. Ikki was there surprisingly joining both Aphro and Shura's conversation.
When the dished rolled in, there were still no sign of both Dohko and Shiryu. Shion had been worrying as he couldn't contact the lad at all. Shun and Mu were looking at him before the former Aries saint sighed. "Both of you, just start the dinner. I'll try to contact him once more." He moved back outside, calming his mind as his cosmos tried to sense where the lad had gone.
Minutes later after the older Aries disappeared from the sight...
"Welcome, we prepare a little feast of Tibetian cuisine. The dumpling is momo, the crescent shape contented yak meat and cheese filling. The other one is potato with cheese filling. This is yak meatball soup, fried mutton with potato and onion, and the last dish is ginseng fruit stir fry. Please enjoy the feast." Mu said while giving a brief explanation of what on the plate.
"Where is Dohko and Shiryu?" Athena asked, two chairs on her table were still empty.
"Shion sensei is still trying to contact him but Dohko sensei is still unreachable."
"Are you sure both of them all right?"
"That we don't know." He said sheepishly.
"We were all busy with the ingredient and cooking." Shun also looked up to the ceiling, seeming remembering if he saw both of them in the morning.
"They were out since morning." Kanon said. Even though the event were practically opened but they seemed to agree that they would be waiting for both the two to arrive.
"Anyone know where they gone?" Saga asked then look at Aiolos.
"I didn't dispatch anyone on quest today." The Sagittarius saint shook his head since he was the one that took charge on it.
"They were not in Sanctuary today too." Milo raised his hand and spoke, being in charge of taking daily attendance.
"…" Mu was silent in worry. He could feel his teacher's cosmo was fluctuated slightly, it was subtle but he could feel it never less. And true enough; outside the room, Shion had been trying to found his signature cosmo to no avail. He had been walking in the circle trying to think on why he was out of reach.
'Dohko should be all right, he was talking about Dohko! He was strong and had been living to tackle the war twice, unlike him who only came to Sanctuary to unlock Athena's cloth. He should be fine. Yes, he should. Is he?' Shion hadn't had this kind of feeling even when his comrades were dying one by one centuries ago. It was more of sadness or grieve but he accepted the fact of them being back to their place and they were back once again with Athena. The princess had reassured both him and Dohko that they were all right. But this kind of feeling was new to him. It was passed worry state… Shion shook his head, trying to clear his mind. It felt closer to fear and maybe anxiety.
'No… Dohko will be fine.'
'But why he can't be contacted?' His conscious countered.
'Because he is unreachable.'
'But why he can't be reached?'
'He is busy?'
'It's telepathy… this is not smartphone…'
'As if he had that! It will smoke and explode as soon as it reaches his hand.'
'Focus, Shion…'
"Damnit! Where is he!"
Saint
Seiya
"Sensei… isn't thing too much?" Shiryu groaned as he took two huge sealed ceramic Chinese wine jars. With this kind of amount, he was sure the gold saints would be drunk in no time.
"Ah don't worry, the alcohol content is not that high." His sensei chuckled lightly, there were two huge ceramic wine jars on his hands too. "Too bad, Kiki should be back to Sanctuary if not, he is welcome to the dinner."
"Better not, he is too young to see his teacher waste away." The dragon saint shook his hear quickly. Though Mu was one of the silent drunker, it was not a pretty sight for children, no matter if you are saint candidate or not.
"Hahahaha that's true." He grinned. "Let's go, they should be waiting." He said as Dohko teleported them back.
Seconds passed later…
"Oi, everyone here, already?"
"Dohko sensei?" Mu was the first to react as his eyes caught a familiar kanji pasted on the jar. "… is that wine?"
"Chhaang." He grinned. Mu was squinting his eyes dangerously for a second before he let out a sigh of defeat.
"What is Chhaang?" Aphro asked curiously
"Tibetian rice beer."
"Oh no…" Several people had cringe at the memory of being drunk and hangover.
"I bring the best here." He smirked while Shiryu put the two jars he had on the ground. "One table one jar." The Libra continued as he dropped one to Deatmask's table. The group on the table paled significantly except for Aphrodite and the teens. Aphro was immune to it. Both Seiya and Ikki hadn't know the effect of hangover yet. Aldebaran was somewhat anxious too. He could handle the last drinking event, but that crazy huge jar is another matter. Dohko put another jar on Saga's table, the twins looked at the jar uncertainly. Milo also been thinking, he didn't mind drinking but drink until he dropped was another matter. Both Shaka and Camus quickly pushed their chair away slightly as if the Libra saint had just spitted out a fire ball onto the table.
"Oi Shiryu, give me one jar." The student done as he was told. "And that one is for our table, this one my stash." Dohko teleported out toward his room while letting out another chuckled. As the oldest gold saint disappeared, Shiryu let out another sigh before he moved toward the first table where both the God and Goddess had sat.
"Ok… Good luck Aiolos - san and Aiolia -san…" He said as he dropped the huge jar onto the table, avoiding the meal that had been prepared carefully.
"What! You will be drinking this too!" Aiolia yelped. He makes sure to yank Dohko and Shiryu down with it. Athena would be spared. Hades though was looking at the jar in interest. He had taste several alcohol. He knew he didn't fancy beer or ouzu. Wine had been to his liking so did the cocktails that the blue hair gold saint had made for him. But he didn't had the chance to try that rice wine that had been knocking down the gold saints. So he was intrigued with this one.
"I'm a minor." The black hair teen sweat dropped.
"Oh no, you don't. Saint's body grow faster than normal human, you can't back off this time, not when your sensei drag this himself."
Outside the dining room…
Shion was still walking in circle in worry as he didn't realize that Dohko's cosmos had already appeared inside the mansion. He was still pondering on how to contact him before a tap on his back startled him. The green hair automatically spun around ready to shout whoever disturbed him in anger but his scream was stopped midway.
"Dohko!"
"Oi, Shion. What are you doing here?" He asked quite innocently. There was a relief on the green hair saint's face before he glared deadly at him then a slap was quickly made contact on the Chinese man shoulder.
"OW!? What was that for!" Another slap.
"Where were you?"
"OW! Really Shion, what's that for!"
"You are missing for a whole day!" He ranted. "And you are unreachable!" Another slap.
"Oi! Easy!"
"Why are you unreachable! Where were you!" Another slap but was able to be catch by Dohko.
"I was going to fetch chhaang from your village for a surprise."
"Chhaang, you said!" If Shion was mad before, now he was furious. He finally knew the lad had been deliberately ignoring his telepathy connection. "At least, tell me where you go damnit!"
"Eh! But you will stop me." Then Dohko paused as if he just realized something. "… are you worrying about me?!"
"… No, I'm not!" Shion gritted his teeth while pulling his hand free. "Idiot." He said as he turned back toward the dining room. Before he could though, the smaller man circled one of his hand on his shoulder and pulled him back.
"Hey, I'm sorry. I never thought… sorry…"
"… don't just ignore my telepathy, you idiot."
"Yes, yes, I'm sorry, now come on. Today the last dinner, right? Let's enjoy it with our family. Isn't that what Tibetian dinner is all about?"
"… Yes, our family." He paused as he smiled. He could hear the voices inside the dinning room had began to escalated. Someone possibly had taken a drink too much. He blinked. "Wait, you didn't just let loose the bronze saints into joining the drink, right?" With that question, Dohko gave him an innocent grin.
