The cool water raced down her back as she propelled herself through the water. Poppy loved the Enchanted Lake; the refreshing water, the serene location. It was the perfect place to wash away her worries.

She was seconds away from pure nirvana when an arrow zinged by her ear. She shrieked and leapt up. Hunter was standing on the shore, looking petrified.

"Poppy! Are you ok?" He raced through the water.

Poppy pulled the arrow out of the bottom of the water. "It's ok. You missed me."

"I swear I wasn't aiming for you" Hunter said, his eyes full of sincerity.

Poppy smiled and squeezed his hand. "I know. I was just about to leave anyway."

"Let me walk you back" Hunter offered. "It's the least I can do."

He shrugged his jacket off. Poppy smiled and stepped out of the water.

"What a gentleman" she remarked, letting Hunter wrap the jacket around her wet form.

The two of them walked in silence for a few minutes.

"So what brings you to this neck of the woods?" Poppy asked.

"Just practicing my archery" he said. "Districts is in two weeks. What about you?"

"I was trying to escape from reality" Poppy said. "I come out here whenever I need me time."

"Sorry I interrupted it" Hunter said.

Poppy laughed. "It's fine, don't worry about it. I was probably gone a little too long. Holly's probably freaking out."

Hunter gently grabbed her shoulder and started walking a little faster. "Then we better hurry. I know what your sister is like when she's anxious."

"Don't worry about Holly" Poppy assured him. "She'll be grateful that you walked me home. Just don't mention that you almost shot me."

Hunter chuckled. "Noted. When do you plan on going back?"

Poppy shrugged. "Whenever I have the time."

Hunter blushed. "Maybe I could come with you?"

Poppy pulled his jacket more tightly around her. "I would like that. Maybe we could meet up after districts?"

Hunter squeezed her hand. "I'm down."
