Chapter 49: Oil in the Family
In Wonderland...
Alice was in the Vale of Tears, relaxing in the fresh grass and admiring the peace in the area.
The Vale of Tears was a large, vibrant and lush forest grown around a river with tall trees, colourful mushrooms and lots of flowers.
There was a statue of a crying Alice provided the tears that make up the rivers and streams.
A little rocking horse fly flew on Alice's hand as Cheshire Cat appeared in a nearby tree.
"You are quite in a good mood, Alice."Cheshire Cat purred.
"Indeed I am, Cat."Alice replied as the little rocking horse flew away. "The Red Queen is gone and Wonderland is peaceful again."
"For now you mean."Cheshire Cat commented as he licked his paw. "But there is a reason for you to be here now."
"I came here to think, Cat."Alice admitted. "My father...my adopted father wants me to attend a family party and has invited my friends to come too."
"Sounds fun."Cheshire Cat replied simply.
Alice stared at her reflection in the river and poked it with her finger causing it to let out a gentle dropping sound.
"I may go by the name Hanson now. But deep down I will always be Alice Liddell."Alice stated with a hint of sadness. "The surviving daughter of Arthur and Lorina Liddell."
"Then go to the party."Cheshire Cat insisted as he went up to Alice. "You might never get a chance like this again."
Alice stood up before responding to her feline friend.
"I...guess your right."Alice said with a small smile and took out the Phantom Key. "I gotta go. Thanks, Cheshire Cat."
"What are friends for."Cheshire Cat sneered with a grin.
"Phantom Key!"Alice chanted.
The Phantom Key opened a portal and Alice jumped into it to return back to the real world.
Afterwards...
Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, Alice and Clay rode on Dojo as they headed to find the Shen Gong Wu that activated.
Alice wore a bright blue t-shirt with purple trousers, magenta socks and white sneakers with pale blue designs on them. Her pink hair was in a loose straight style with a purple hairband on it and had small red rose earrings on her ears.
Kimiko wore a bright green shirt with a matching skirt, rouge pink trousers, bright green sleeveless gloves and matching gloves on her wrists. Her black hair was styled in stylish ponytails.
"The Rio Reverso."Dojo stated. "It's a tricky little Wu that can turn any object back into its original form."
As the five monks and Dojo headed to the Rio Reverso's location, Jack and his group of Jack-Bots appeared behind them.
"Looks like we got the usual unwanted welcome."Dojo declared with a frown.
"Jack-Bots, attack!"Jack ordered.
Dojo landed on a field causing Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, Alice and Clay to stand in their fighting positions to face off against the Jack-Bots.
"Dojo find the Wu while we polish their watches!"Omi declared.
"Clean their clocks."Raimundo corrected.
Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, Alice and Clay rushed forward to fight the Jack-Bots, but were unaware that Wuya and Chase's crow were watching them.
"Excellent."Wuya responded. "Let them fight one another. Soon the Shen Gong Wu will be all mine."
"Wudai Crater, EARTH!"Clay yelled out.
Clay slammed his foot into the ground and made sharp rock spikes shoot out to two Jack-Bots.
Omi rushed forward, only to run toward a river when a bunch of Jack-Bots flew towards him.
"Wudai Neptune, WATER!"Omi shouted.
Omi sent streams of water towards the Jack-Bots that were following him causing them to crash into the ground.
"Now where could that Wu be?"Jack asked as he landed on the ground.
Kimiko was swinging from tree to tree with two Jack-Bots on her tail.
"Check out the spring in my step!"Kimiko remarked.
Kimiko jumped on one branch and made it bend backwards.
"Wudai Mars, FIRE!"Kimiko shouted.
Kimiko made her hands caught fire as the branch flung her forward to destroy the two Jack-Bots as she went passed them.
"Wudai Star, WIND!"Raimundo yelled out.
Raimundo sent out a powerful blast of wind at three Jack-Bots and sent them crashing into the side of a mountain.
Alice dodged the four Jack-Bots that were trying to hit her.
"Is that all you tin heads can do?"Alice questioned. "Wudai Saturn, ICE!"
Alice freezes the four Jack-Bots that were facing against her and they bashed into the ground below.
"Perhaps Jack could use a little help."Wuya suggested and took out the Ruby of Ramses. "Ruby of Ramses!"
Wuya used the Ruby of Ramses to hit against the five monks several times before sending him up in the air.
"Hey, guys, I found it!"Dojo called out as he stood up from behind a rock. "It's right over-"
Wuya made Jack fell on Dojo causing him to discover the Rio Reverso.
"Hey! The Jack-man did it!"Jack declared as he pulled out the Rio Reverso. "I guess I don't know my own evil strength."
Jack activated his Heli-Bot and took off into the sky as Wuya looked at the crow.
"It will be safe enough with Jack and easy enough to retrieve."Wuya sneered.
A While Later...
Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, Alice and Clay returned back at the Xiaolin Temple completely disappointed that Jack got away with the Rio Reverso.
"I don't know what hurts more."Clay said. "My butt or my butt getting hit by Jack Spicer."
"At least Jack didn't take our dignity."Omi admitted.
"Remember success is how high you bounce with your bottom."Master Fung declared.
"Here we go."Raimundo complained. "Another lesson getting our butts kicked for us."
"Raimundo, it is not the winning or the losing."Master Fung admitted calmly. "But the journey itself."
"No! It's the winning!"Raimundo argued causing Omi and Kimiko to grab him. "Journey are for tourists! I say we got to Spicer and get back our Wu!"
Alice smacked Raimundo on the back of his head.
"Ow!"Raimundo groaned and rubbed his head.
"Zip your mouth, Pedrosa."Alice retorted with a frown. "Your acting like a hare arguing over food."
"Alice is correct. You must have patience, young monk."Master Fung stated. "A house builds in no foundation as the house will surely be crumbled."
"We are not building a house! We are fighting evil and losing to the second team!"Raimundo shouted. "And I don't like losing!"
Raimundo walked away from his companions as Alice shook her head in disappointment.
Raimundo was sneaked into Jack's Lair to steal the Rio Reverso, but Jack's dinosaur security catches him.
"Easy there, boys."Raimundo instructed. "Or whatever you are."
"Meet my new top-notch security team."Jack sneered and introduced his three little dinosaurs. "Dino-Dude, Dino-Dash and Dino-Gal. Aren't they dino-cute?"
"And what exactly do they dino-want?"Raimundo asked.
"Dino-meal, of course."Jack replied.
Dino-Dash lunged at Raimundo, but the Dragon of Wind jumped and grabbed on to a round contraption that hanged on the ceiling.
"Can we knock off the dino talk?"Raimundo asked and kicked Dino-Dash away. "It's really annoying."
"It's too bad you're dino-alone."Jack snickered. "They've really dino-worked up a dino-appetite!"
The three little dinosaurs surrounded Raimundo, ready to attack him.
Suddenly the door slammed opened revealing Omi, Kimiko, Clay and Alice that came to help Raimundo.
"You are about to chew on that sentence, Jack Spicer!"Omi declared.
Raimundo jumped off the ceiling to join his fellow monks.
"I think what the little fella means is eat those words."Clay commented.
"Obviously."Alice said with a shrug.
"You guys are just in time for dinner!"Jack declared evilly. "Guess who's the main course!"
"We can take on these overgrown lizards easy."Kimiko stated.
Jack snapped his fingers causing more baby dinosaurs to appear in the lair.
"Still feeling cocky, Kimiko?"Jack questioned. "Dinner time, Dinos! Bon appetit!"
The horde of baby dinosaurs launched towards the five monks, but got distracted by a simple butterfly and they run off, leaving Jack behind.
Omi, Kimiko, Clay, Alice and Raimundo looked at Jack.
"Ingrates!"Jack shouted. "They were nothing but little puddles of oil when I found them!"
"And that's what we're gonna turn you into." Clay said and cracked his knuckles. "A little puddle."
"I-I, uh, still have a backup plan, you know."Jack admitted. "A-All evil geniuses have a backup plan."
"You do?"Alice asked in a fake curious tone. "Is it an invisible sandwich?"
"Quiet, pigtail!"Jack snapped. "Jack-Bots, attack!"
A bunch of Jack-Bots appeared inside the lair.
"Jack's backup plan sounds a lot like the same old plan."Kimiko commented.
Omi, Alice, Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay launched themselves towards the Jack-Bots and easily destroyed them.
Jack panicked and began making his retreat on one of his motors.
"How about a little bit of this, buddy!"Clay insisted.
Clay picked up a small container and used it to whack away a Jack-Bot to make it hit the other coming Jack-Bots.
Alice destroyed the Jack-Bot that was going to hit her with it's frail of spike balls as Kimiko and Omi destroyed the remaining ones
"Hey!"Raimundo called out. "Girly-boy's getting away with the Rio Reverso!"
Jack took off on his motor causing Raimundo to follow after him.
"Wudai Star, WIND!"Raimundo yelled out.
Raimundo uses his wind powers to keep him in hot pursuit.
However, Wuya was yet again watching from a nearby tree and took out the Ruby of Ramses.
"Ruby of Ramses!"Wuya chanted.
Wuya uses the Ruby of Ramses to make Jack's motor collide with Raimundo knocking him out before taking the Rio Reverso.
"Hey! That's my Wu!"Jack complained and collapsed on the floor.
"Didn't I teach you anything?"Wuya scowled and held the Rio Reverso with her hand. "Evildoers do not whine."
"I'm not whining! I'm making an argument!"Jack argued and began to tear up. "Now give it! Give it back!"
Omi, Kimiko, Clay and Alice rushed out and glared at Wuya.
"The jig is down!"Omi yelled out and pointed at Wuya. "You are at the top of your rope! Spoon over that Wu!"
Everyone looked at each other with confused expressions as Raimundo collapsed on the ground with a dizzy expression.
"Oh, oh, I got it!"Jack said in realisation. "The jig is up! You're at the end of your rope! Fork over the Wu! Yes!"
Jack pulled one side of his coat out and showing a ribbon that said 'Evil Genius' on it.
"Very good, Jack."Wuya praised. "Now let me tell you what you've won. Ruby of Ramses!"
Wuya used the Ruby of Ramses to make Jack fight against the five monks.
Omi, Alice, Kimiko and Clay tried to fight Jack, but none of them were no match for him in Wuya's control.
"I would love to stay and gloat, but I have evil to do."Wuya admitted. "Ruby of Ramses!"
Wuya used the Ruby of Ramses to make herself fly away.
"No fair!"Jack argued in a dizzy expression. "That's my evil taunt!"
At the Xiaolin Temple...
The five warriors felt a little better after seeing it was Wuya that beat them and not Jack.
"This is all my fault."Raimundo stated. "I should've waited until we had a plan."
"We were all just as anxious to go after Jack."Kimiko reminded.
"On the bright sight we now know it was that old hag who beat us in the first place."Alice stated and took out the Komori Sword. "Komori Sword, ICE!"
Alice used the Komori Sword to make ice hats to heal the head wounds of her friends.
"Thanks, Allie."Raimundo thanked. "Now that Wuya got the Rio Reverso, we've got bigger problems."
"So? We can defeat a few dinosaurs."Omi remarked. "It's not like they were...squirrels."
"No, the old hag won't think small like that."Raimundo complemented. "She'll be thinking..."
"Anyway Raimundo."Clay spoke up. "Where I come from, we have a saying. Follow the oil."
Meanwhile...
"Rio Reverso!"Wuya chanted.
Wuya uses the Rio Reverso in an oil depot to make an adult dinosaur instead of a baby one.
Dojo and the five monks arrived in the area and saw the T-Rex that Wuya made.
"Uh oh."Kimiko said nervously. "Looks like we're too late."
"Time for evasive action!"Dojo declared.
"What kind of evasive action?"Alice questioned.
"I don't have the slightest idea!"Dojo admitted.
Suddenly the dinosaur whacked them away with his tail.
Omi, Alice, Kimiko, Raimundo, Clay and Dojo screamed as they were sent flying in the sky before landing hard on the oil depot harshly.
"Oh, what happened?"Omi groaned. "I feel so much pressure in my head."
"Sorry partner."Clay apologised. "That would be me."
Clay got off of Omi as Wuya fed sugar cubes at the T-Rex.
"Now do exactly as I say."Wuya instructed. "Eat the young monks. Starting with the yummy looking little cheese ball and the sweet bubblegum."
The T-Rex turned to the monks, focusing on Omi and Alice with his teeth out.
"I am no cheese ball!"Omi argued. "I'm a Xiaolin warrior!"
"Ugh!"Alice scowled in annoyance. "I hate it when people call me names based on my hair colour!"
Clay picked up Omi as he, Alice, Kimiko, Raimundo and Dojo began backing away from the hungry T-Rex.
"Easy there, Allie."Clay instructed. "I think she's a little out of weight class."
The T-Rex followed the five monks with lots of drool dropping down from his sharp teeth.
"Nice chompers."Dojo responded nervously. "The way you care for your teeth, I'm surprised you went extinct. Could use a mint though."
Suddenly Chase showed up between Wuya and the five monks.
"Chase!"Wuya said with a nervous smile. "What a delightful surprise."
"My, my, that isn't a Shen Gong Wu in your hand, is it?"Chase asked with a smirk.
"O-Oh, this?"Wuya asked and looked at the Rio Reverso. "I-It's a gift! For you. Now you've spoiled everything."
"Liar, liar, pants on fire!"Jack snapped as he went next to the Heylin Lord. "You stole it from me, and you stole my idea from me too! That dinosaur should be mine!"
The T-Rex roared loudly at Jack.
"Okay, you can have it."Jack whimpered weakly.
"You ratted me out, Jack?!"Wuya retorted. "You fake!"
"Yeah, well, Chase and I are now teamed up!"Jack sneered and snapped his fingers. "How do you like those apples?"
"So much crisscrossing."Omi commented in disproval. "This proves there truly is no honour among thieves."
Wuya feed the T-Rex a few more sugar cubes.
"T-Rex. Now you be a good lizard...and rip them all to pieces!"Wuya ordered.
Clay, Omi, Alice, Kimiko and Raimundo immediately stood into their fighting positions as Jack hid behind Chase.
Chase gives Jack a look causing the evil boy genius to back away as the T-Rex roared at the Heylin Lord.
Chase changes to his reptilian form which gets the dinosaur's attention and takes out the Eagle Scope.
"Eagle Scope!"Chase chanted.
Chase used the Eagle Scope to give the T-Rex the ability to speak and think for himself.
"I say, I am famished."T-Rex declared. "I feel like I haven't had a crumpet to eat in sixteen million years."
"Chase, what have you done?!"Wuya demanded.
"Do you really think you could buy me with ruddy sugar cubes, you little git?"T-Rex questioned.
"Just gave T-Rex a new outlook on things."Chase sneered.
Chase laughed evilly as he walked away with Jack following him from behind.
"Wait!"Wuya protested as the T-Rex went closer to her. "Chase, help me!"
"I think you can handle things from here."Chase answered as he turned back into his human form. "Enjoy your evil meal deal."
"I knew we make a great team!"Jack remarked. "So what's in the agenda, CY?"
Chase grabbed Jack by the head and looked at the T-Rex.
"When your finished with her, here's something else you can chew on!"Chase declared with a smirk.
Chase tossed Jack towards the T-Rex, who caught him with his foot and sniffed him.
"What is that simply yummy aroma?"T-Rex asked. "Just like chicken."
"Nah that's just my new cologne."Jack answered and the T-Rex started crushing him. "It's chicken!"
The T-Rex grabbed Jack with his free hand as Omi looked at his companions.
"We cannot just stand by and watch Wuya and Jack be chewed up by a big dinosaur."Omi reminded.
"You're right."Kimiko agreed. "Someone better help them out."
"I guess we should."Alice muttered.
"Ruby of Ramses!"Wuya chanted.
Wuya used the Ruby of Ramses to make Jack hit the T-Rex, but it did nothing.
The T-Rex shook Wuya a little bit causing her to drop the Ruby of Ramses.
"Jack!"Wuya called out as she used her hands and feet to prevent the T-Rex's jaws from chomping her. "Use your Shen Gong Wu!"
"Changing Chopsticks!"Jack chanted.
Jack used the Changing Chopsticks to shrink Wuya.
"Not me, you fool!"Wuya growled.
"Changing Chopsticks!"Jack chanted.
Jack used the Changing Chopsticks to shrink himself as well.
Wuya kicked Jack and pointed at the T-Rex.
Jack used the Changing Chopsticks to make him and Wuya grow back into their normal sizes.
"Rio Rever-"Wuya started.
Wuya tried to use the Rio Reverso to change T-Rex back to oil, but the dinosaur swats her and Jack away with his tail.
Wuya and Jack landed on the sea as the dinosaur picked up the Changing Chopsticks.
"Now, where was I, duckie?"T-Rex asked and picked up the Changing Chopsticks. "Oh, yes, I was in the middle of getting me some sweets."
T-Rex roared and made his move on Omi, Alice, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Dojo as they head to the top of the silos.
"Dojo, you're practically one of them critters."Clay reminded. "Any ideas?"
"I beg your pardon?"Dojo questioned as the dinosaur was coming their way. "That's like me saying you're practically a monkey. Just because she speaks with a British accent, doesn't mean she's smart like a dragon! We fly, breath fire, chew with out mouths closed!"
Clay headed at the top of a silo as the T-Rex tried to bite him and Dojo.
"That dinosaur is a girl?"Alice questioned in surprise.
"Focus, Allie."Kimiko reminded.
"Time to kick some dino-butt!"Raimundo declared as he took out the Blade of the Nebula.
"Mizu Staff!"Omi chanted.
Omi leapt up as his Mizu Staff into two sickles and he lunged at T-Rex.
However the T-Rex whacked away one of the sickle causing Omi to use the one he had left to get stuck between the dinosaur's jaws to keep them from closing.
"Combat Castanets!"Alice shouted.
Alice used the Combat Castanets to sent frost sound waves to hit the T-Rex, but the ice attack had no effect.
"Blade of the Nebula!"Raimundo yelled out.
Raimundo twirled his Wudai Weapon and it turned into its nunchuck form to hit the T-Rex by the stomach.
This sent Omi landing where Raimundo and Kimiko were.
The dinosaur pulled the end of the nunchuck in her mouth causing Kimiko and Omi to grab Raimundo from falling.
"Big Bang Metorang!"Clay chanted.
Clay sent his Big Bang Metorang towards the T-Rex, who whacked it away with her tail.
The Big Bang Metorang spilt into five boomerangs and came sailing back at Clay.
Clay quickly jumped where his friends stood before the metorangs could hit him.
The five metorangs hit the silo which made oil leak out from it.
"Arrow Sparrow!"Kimiko shouted.
Kimiko threw her Wudai Weapon which turned into a big fireball.
"Oh, please."T-Rex scoffed.
T-Rex opened her mouth and took in the fireball causing the group's eyes to widen in shock.
"I take my tea hotter than that."T-Rex declared.
The big dinosaur merely eats the Arrow Sparrow and fired it back at the five monks.
"Wudai Fire Shield!"Kimiko chanted.
Kimiko used her Wudai Fire Shield to protect herself, Omi, Raimundo, Alice Clay and Dojo as the fire hit leaks in the oil tank causing a big explosion.
"Cool."Raimundo remarked.
The fallen Ruby of Ramses and Rio Reverso dropped to two separate places causing T-Rex ran towards the Rio Reverso.
"Looks like it's time to make some new chaps."T-Rex sneered.
"If we don't do something, we would wind up the ones extinct."Kimiko warned.
"I got us into this but this time I got a plan."Raimundo assured.
The Dragon of Wind ran towards the Ruby of Ramses to grab it before he slide towards the Rio Reverso.
Raimundo and T-Rex touched the Rio Reverso at the same time, starting a Xiaolin Showdown.
"T-Rex, I challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown!"Raimundo declared. "My Ruby of Ramses against your Changing Chopsticks!"
"Jolly good."T-Rex answered with a toothy grin. "The game is Jurassic Chess. Whoever corners the other's king first wins!"
"Let's go, Xiaolin Showdown!"Raimundo and T-Rex shouted in unison.
When the showdown started, a giant chessboard rises from the ground with Raimundo and T-Rex in the center of the board.
"Gong Yi Tan Pai!"T-Rex and Raimundo yelled out.
T-Rex hit Raimundo with her tail and sent him flying into one of his chess pieces.
"Velociraptor to Trachodon three!"Raimundo said. "Ruby of Ramses!"
Raimundo used the Ruby of Ramses to move his pieces around the board.
"Hmm, Benko's Opening."T-Rex said. "You think you're rather clever, do you?"
T-Rex moved out of the way so his chess piece stopped in front of one of hers.
"Velociraptor to T-Rex three!"T-Rex shouted.
T-Rex used her tail to send one of her chess pieces sailing across the board.
Raimundo quickly landed on one of his pieces.
"Benko's Opening to Reversed Alekhine, as I expected."Raimundo scoffed. "Triceratops to Diplodus three, Ruby of Ramses!"
"Changing Chopsticks!"T-Rex chanted.
T-Rex used the Changing Chopsticks to shrink Raimundo's moving chess piece.
Clay, Alice, Omi, Kimiko and Dojo watched Raimundo play chess against T-Rex.
"I never knew Raimundo was a chess player."Omi commented.
"I never knew Raimundo could do anything using his head."Kimiko added.
"I secretly taught him how to play chess while you guys were busy doing your own things."Alice explained. "It really improves planning and problem-solving skills."
"How do you think he's doing?"Clay questioned as he scratched his cheek.
"Chess was never my game."Dojo replied. "I'm more of a tic-tac-toe kinda dragon."
"Stegosaurus to Brontosaurus five!"T-Rex shouted.
T-Rex destroyed one of Raimundo's pieces and starts chasing after him.
"Ruby of Ramses!"Raimundo chanted.
Raimundo used the Ruby of Ramses to knock a chess piece into T-Rex.
Clay, Alice, Omi, Kimiko and Dojo cheered at Raimundo.
Suddenly T-Rex knocked a chess piece at Raimundo, making him stuck between two pieces.
"Lovely."T-Rex answered smugly. "You fell right into my trap."
"No! You fell into my trap!"Raimundo declared. "Ruby of Ramses!"
While T-Rex was busy with Raimundo, Raimundo used the Ruby of Ramses to corner T-Rex's king, winning the showdown with checkmate.
"Sorry dino, but that's check and mate."Raimundo admitted victoriously.
Raimundo waved goodbye at T-Rex as she fell into the ground below.
Clay, Alice, Omi, Kimiko and Dojo rushed over Raimundo to congratulate him.
"Yes!"Omi cheered. "Way da go, Raimundo!"
"Whoo!"Kimiko laughed in joy.
"Looks my chess lessons really paid off!"Alice chuckled.
"I've never seen anyone whoop a dinosaur before."Clay remarked.
"Yeah."Raimundo agreed. "Chess matches are a lot more physically than the ones I've had with you, Alice."
"I know."Alice responded. "But in Wonderland is a lot more than you can imagine."
"What are we going to do with her?"Kimiko asked.
The five monks notice T-Rex standing not far from where they stood.
"And we can't set her free either."Raimundo added.
"What if we take her back to the temple?"Omi suggested.
Alice frowned. "Your joking, right?"
"What are you talking about?"Clay asked."Master Fung can barely feed me."
Omi took the Changing Chopsticks and leapt forward to shrink the T-Rex into a tiny size before picking her up.
At the Xiaolin Temple...
Omi shrunk down all the dinosaurs so that he, Raimundo, Kimiko, Alice and Clay can take them back to the Temple with them and keep them as pets.
"You know, it's funny."Dojo complemented. "But they're a lot cuter when they're the size of your pinkie."
Dojo used his finger to rub T-Rex's stomach and she bit it causing him to scream in pain.
The five monks laughed lightly as Dojo shook T-Rex off and placed his finger in his mouth.
"What a Dojo."Clay chuckled.
