"We found Hannah's aunt," Antonio informed them on the other side of the phone Jay was holding up so we could all hear the conversation. "Didn't get much from her other than Hannah left home when she was sixteen."

"She wasn't sure but her aunt was sure she was living with a friend named Addie Sumpter somewhere in Canaryville," Kim added in, most likely as she sat in the passenger seat. Kevin sat down at his computer, fingers flying across the keyboard as he worked on narrowing down the person we were looking for.

"Addie. A-d-d-y, or A-d-d-i-e? Seems like there's a lot of spellings for names nowadays."

"A-d-d-i-e." Antonio responded quickly but effectively as they all waited for a response from Kevin."Could go by Addison or Adelyn."

"Here we go." Kevin pushed the enter button on the keyboard, finally pulling up the results. "Addison Sumpter. The current address shows she does live in Canaryville. Adam and I will go check it out and see what we can dig up."

"Sounds good. Antonio and I will be heading back in a few minutes." Kim chimed in as they got ready to hang up the phone. "See you in a little while."

"Hey, Sarge." Adam grabbed his coat from the back of his chair. "Antonio and Kim got a lead on one of Hannah's friends. We're going to check it out. Let you know what we find." Voight gave one nod as he and Kevin disappeared downstairs, then gestured for me to follow him to his office.

"Close the door." He instructed, taking a seat behind his desk. "I wanted to see how everything was going with you and Eva."

"I told the team this afternoon about Eva, so I'm feeling like a weight has lifted off my shoulders. Eva is improving but we still have a few things to figure out on that front. I'm hoping now that I've switched her from the after-school program to being with a nanny that she'll adjust a little more to everything."

"I'm glad to hear it." He leaned forward in his chair as his expression changed to a more serious one."I received an interesting call today from the precinct therapist. Tell me you haven't been ignoring her calls."

"We were in the middle of a case."

"I told her we were." Voight held up a hand to stop me from saying anything further until he was finished. "That's when she mentioned she's called you more than once over the last week. Look, I know you have a lot on your plate right now, but there are a lot of reasons I have my team go talk to someone after really hard cases."

"Copy. I'll give her a call."

"Now it looks like we're wrapping up the case." He acknowledged my response with a nod. "I want your paperwork on my desk before you leave." I immediately eyed him with a level of scrutiny I shouldn't have. "I want you to know this isn't a punishment. This is an 'I need to make sure you are focused and present so you don't get yourself hurt'"

"What did Voight want?" Jay turned his chair and watched as Voight closed the door behind him before picking up the phone behind his desk. His conversation was muffled but we could both tell it was a serious conversation. Instead of immediately responding to his question, I used that distraction to reach into my drawer and pull out a blank report.

"I just need to fill out this report and then I'm headed to pick up Eva."

"Voight doesn't usually send people home without a reason." He mentioned as his eyes pleaded with me to tell him the real reason I was being sent home. "Hailey, talk to me."

"I haven't talked to the therapist about what happened with Booth." I was amazed that rolled off my tongue effortlessly, especially when I had been debating telling him in the first place.

"Is there anything to tell?"

"He did a lot of things over the years. Now I just want to move past what he did and get on with my life." For Eva's sake, the last thing I wanted to do was harbor more hard feelings toward him. He had made his choice being the deceiving man he always was. I realized my second chance, my daughter, had been the silver lining out of everything he had done and I would do everything in my power to make sure he knew that without telling him about her.

"That's understandable. But what he almost did to you-" Jay shook his head back and forth, as if he still couldn't get the image out of his head. At first, I had been so angry he had brought up those pictures of me bruised and battered on New Year's Eve. Although I had kept it from everyone else I had worked with over the years, I was wrong thinking Jay would never find out.

Letting the conversation drop, I finished filling out the report, knocked on Voight's door to hand him the report, and grabbed my coat from the back of my chair.

"You good?" I could tell he was checking up on me. I swore he knew me better than I did myself. I was slightly frustrated with the whole situation but again, I understood why he was doing it. I couldn't put myself at risk, especially now that I had Eva.

"Yeah. Eva will be thrilled she doesn't have to stay late on the first day with the nanny, so it kind of works out."

"You know that's not what I was asking, right?" He gave me that side grin I had grown to love over the years. I had discovered it was his way of gauging how I was feeling about a situation and if he could do anything to help. I could tell he wanted to do something but I kept coming up blank.

"I'm good." I flashed a tired smile back his way as I placed my hands through the sleeves of my coat. "I'll see you tomorrow."
