Surf Club - Angelo's
"How're you feeling today?" Brax asks his two triplet brothers, not having had a chance before they left for their shifts.
"I'm fine. Emily told me about what you did, thanks for backing her up." Kyle smiles.
"I'm letting you make your own mistakes." Brax lightly shrugs, turning to Lucas. "What about you?"
"We saw Tyler outside of the gym when we came to open up. He acted as if we weren't there." Lucas says.
"He was with those two River Boys from the other week. I can't remember their names." Kyle says, thinking to himself about it. "I think one of them was called Jack."
"Jack and Carl?" Brax asks.
"Yeah, that's it." Lucas nods, remembering Tyler mention their names a few times.
"That's their nicknames. Those two are the best at stealing cars." Brax says.
"Nicknames for what?" Kyle frowns.
"Jack - carjacking. Carl - cars." Brax says, noticing them looked confused as they thought about it. "Heath came up with those names years ago when they first joined the River Boys. He was probably drunk or taking the piss but it just stuck and everyone calls them it now."
"That would make sense then." Kyle says, knowing his brother liked giving people weird nicknames just so he wouldn't have to remember their real name.
"Are they bad?" Lucas asks.
"They're River Boys." Kyle scoffs.
"I've never had any problems with them, apart from them stealing a lot of cars to sell on." Brax says.
"Why has he started hanging around the River Boys more now?" Lucas asks.
"Nothing was mentioned to me or Heath when we saw Nugget last week." Brax says.
"What if he's lying for Tyler?" Kyle asks.
"I don't know. Don't worry about him, he made his choice and that wasn't family. Heath's looking for another qualified personal trainer in his breaks, so it might not be long till he skips town."
"I don't want him to skip town but I don't want him around if he's going to be like that." Lucas sighs. "It was nice when he was getting along with all of you and accepting that he isn't the person in charge anymore. I thought we could finally be a family with you guys."
"There's not stopping you from feeling that without Tyler around." Kyle says.
"I know, it just wouldn't feel the same. I don't want him to think that I'm replacing him with you." Lucas says.
"If he had any sense, he'd realise what's best for you. You like it here and you're happy, that should be enough." Kyle says.
"I'm really happy." Lucas smiles, side hugging Kyle.
"When you stop hugging there's customers waiting for their drinks." Brax smirks, about to walk to the office when he sees Heath walk in, not looking happy.
"If you don't fire Tyler, I will." He shakes his head, leaning against the bar.
"What's happened?" Kyle asks.
"He turned up an hour late to his shift extremely hungover, he broke a treadmill after messing with it and he's also been mouthing off which has caused clients to leave." Heath complains. "I sent him home for the rest of his shift, so now I've got to do extra because Casey was refusing to cover it as he's meeting Denny."
"Let me talk to him first." Brax says, knowing they'd really struggle with the gym until they could find a new personal trainer.
"How many times are you going to talk to him before you realise it's not going to work?" Heath asks.
"What else do you suggest?" Brax asks.
"If he thinks he can get away with that, it could ruin your gym if it keeps sending clients away." Kyle says.
"Fine, you can try but I know it won't work." Heath says. "Now can I get something quick to eat because I have two bootcamps to run soon?" He says.
"Why don't you go to the office and wait?" Lucas says.
"What?" Heath frowns, Kyle noticing why he said that. "No, Lucas, I don't have time to be sitting around since I now have double the work to do. Just get me something that I can take down to the gym."
"You could go into the kitchen and tell them what you want. They'll be quicker if you stay there for it." Kyle says.
"That's a good point." Heath mutters, walking to the kitchen to get it sorted.
"What was that about?" Brax asks, Kyle pointing to the group that just arrived.
"Great." Brax mumbles, seeing it was Tyler with a small group of River Boys. "Don't let on to Heath if he comes back out. I'm going to sort Tyler out." He says, walking over to them.
"How bad is this going to be for Tyler?" Lucas asks his triplet.
"Brax is long gone for messing around. If Tyler tries winding him up or making things difficult, he'll know about it pretty quickly." Kyle replies, watching as Tyler follows Brax out of the restaurant. "Are you sure you're okay with Tyler leaving again?"
"No, but he isn't willing to change his horrible attitude." Lucas says. "I thought he would so we can all be a family, so he could finally know what it's like to not need to anything to worry about. He told me he'd be happy living here knowing he wouldn't have to be the big brother anymore, now I just think that was a front. I don't understand him anymore."
"You've always got me, I'm not going anywhere." Kyle says, not knowing what to do about Tyler as he didn't want to get involved.
"Good because I'm not letting you go." Lucas grins, having formed a great bond with him in so little time. "We can just be twins instead."
"Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself?" Kyle asks. "If Brax can get through to Tyler, he might consider sticking around here."
"I don't see that happening. In all honesty, I think he's always wanted to be by himself."
"What makes you say that?" Kyle frowns as Heath walks back over to them, his order not quite being ready.
"Since being here, I've been thinking a lot about how I grew up. I've noticed patterns throughout the years that I wanted to ignore, I just don't think I can." Lucas sighs. "He was only nicer to me around the times he had crime planned out and needed someone to get him out of it. The times he wasn't interested in shoplifting or petty theft, he basically ignored me. He never cared that his friends hated me, he didn't do a lot to stop mum shouting at me over nothing, he didn't even care if I was to get into trouble with the police. He only cared about himself. You guys aren't like that, you care about each other. Yeah, you argue a lot but when you make up, there's real meaning to it. I wish I had this sooner."
"If we knew about having triplet brothers, Brax would have done everything in his power to find you. It wouldn't have mattered that you two were separated, he wouldn't have stopped." Heath says.
"Least we're here now. You don't have to worry about not being cared about because you know you are." Kyle says.
"I'm not impressed that I've got another clone to look after, but I guess I can live with it." Heath smirks.
"Keep calling us a clone or you'll regret it." Kyle lightly glares.
"Just speaking facts bro." Heath laughs. "We both know you wouldn't dare think about hurting me."
"It wasn't that long ago I gave you a pretty big black eye, so it wouldn't be that hard." Kyle says. "And now I've got Lucas to help me. He might apologise a thousand times afterwards, but he'll help me."
"Lucas wouldn't help you hurt me, would you?" Heath asks.
"I could keep look out." Lucas grins. "I'd obviously give Kyle a strong alibi if needed, cops have always believed my sob stories."
"You're a Braxton now, the cops hate us." Heath says.
"Do I have to change my surname to Braxton now I'm one of you, or would I stay Lucas Moore?" He asks.
"It would be your choice." Heath says.
"I only changed from Bennett because it had no meaning to me. Turns out it was a good choice to make considering it wasn't even a real last name, it was just what the baby clinic called me." Kyle says.
"Lucas Braxton." He mutters to himself. "It does sound good and it would mean I can properly be one of you."
"Your surname wouldn't mean you're any less our brother. Would just mean you have a harder life with the cops, but Kylie doesn't mind that." Heath smirks.
"You're so funny." Kyle glares at him.
"No need to tell me that, I already know." Heath laughs as his order comes out. "Better get back to work, see you later." He says, quickly walking out with his food.
