Nicolás had spent his day with Taylor, the two of them enjoying the beautiful beach of Playa des Losers with a pair of smoothies to go with the scene. Her usual hyperactiveness had been toned down to let him relax a little more, which he thought was nice, considering how she really was his only friend. After they were done with everything, he made his way back upstairs, heading towards his room in the snazzy lodge that everyone was staying at. He had a job to continue. Despite the fact that Alexis' device was destroyed, he had been following Thomas closely, watching each step he took with the knowledge that it placed a target on his back. He sighed as he passed the newly arrived Natt by, who had his hands full trying to keep Liz from murdering Luna and Dusty from murdering Liz. He thought it was funny that the dark, mysterious looking member of the group was actually everyone's mom.
"Y-you got your hands full, huh?" he shyly asked Natt, trying to be friendly.
"Yeah, they just won't listen to reason," Natt replied with a shrug. "Hey! Dusty! Put the spatula down!"
It wasn't long before the residential emotionless boy ran off after the girls, leaving Nicolás to continue his journey to the lodge. He had become a lot more comfortable talking to other people, but it was really hard for him to push the friend making gig. He sighed, thinking he could do better than he already was. The next group he found himself walking by was Haley and Sebastian, the two who were always infatuated with each other, despite the actions of the one of them.
"Ay, Nicolás!" Sebastian called out to him, "You going to the lodge?"
"U-uh, yeah!" he answered, still too shy.
"Sweet, would you mind grabbing my device? I left it in the laundry room, I wanna take some pictures of me and Hales!"
"Hales?" Haley blushed, "I like that nickname..."
"I can get it, y-yeah."
"Thanks, bud."
Nicolás slightly waved to the other boy, continuing on his journey. He was finally getting close to the lodge, and he noticed something strange about it. Vicente was exiting, but he was definitely in a hurry, and he looked stressed out. As Nicolás approached him, the veteran caught wind of him, gaining a look of sheer panic on his face.
"Hey, man," he greeted the boy who used to be on an opposite team from him, "You okay? You look-"
Vicente didn't answer, he simply dashed past him and ran to the beach. Nicolás was confused, but didn't let it get to him. He made his way to the laundry room, grabbing Sebastian's device for him as he requested, before going to his own room. The door was open, which was considerably odd, but he didn't think much of it. At least, he didn't until he looked at his bed, noticing his own device, cracked into a million pieces. His heart sank as he saw it, because it was at that moment that he knew an undeniable truth. Thomas had won.
