"Stop right there!" Kirishima shouted as they chased after the villain. He heard a few loud booms and with a puff of hot smoke that smelled like burnt sugar, Bakugou passed right by him.
"FUCKING DIE!" Bakugou screamed as he was about to catch up to the villain. Just as he was about to reach the man however, these weird, thick, rubber-like ropes suddenly appear out of nowhere and wrapped themselves around the man, tripping him and pinning him to the ground. Bakugou, Kirishima, and Kaminari came to a hault. Their eyes followed the strange rubber towards its source to their right. Kaminari's jaws dropped to the ground when he saw a golden blonde with massive breasts barely covered in her royal blue body suit.
Her suit was a tight turtleneck royal blue body suit, except the suit is cut open in a diamond shape at the center, revealing more than half of her breasts as well as her stomach. Kaminari gulped loudly as he tried to collect himself and force the blush on his face to go down. This is wrong. This is so wrong. He literally spent all three years of high school with Momo, who also shows the front of her skin like that, but this girl... Not only is her front showing, but she also has slits on both sides of her body, running down and stopping right at the hips. And her legs... What's up with those lacy tights? Is this serious not a violation of the costume regulations? Kaminari's eyes trailed upward to see the girl's big blue eyes and long eyelashes. Is she wearing makeup?!
Kirishima was also a little flustered, but not as bad as Kaminari. Bakugou's eyes were on her hand, for the rubber tying the villain down just so happened to be her elongated fingers. "Who are you?" Bakugou asked. He has been in this city for two years and he knows almost all the heroes here. Despite deeming them as extras, he at least keeps tabs on which heroes are responsible for which areas of the city, and he's never seen this one before.
"It's my first day on the job. Nice to meet you, I'm Rubber Girl!" The girl winked at Bakugou and blew a kiss at him. Reporters started filing in, flashing their cameras at the new heroine who made her debut. Bakugou clicked his tongue. He was clearly going in for the capture, and the girl over there calculated the exact timing to steal the villain from him... He knew exactly what this was. This was a common tactic used by third rated heroes to get clout. They steal the spotlight from popular heroes to turn the media's attention on them.
"Whatever..." Bakugou turned around. In the end, Rubber Girl is going to get credit for the capture, so there's no point in staying. Plus, Kamiko is still back in the office.
"Wait! Ground Zero!" Rubber Girl passed by the reporters and stood right in front of him. Bakugou noticed she no longer had the villain in her control, and his eyes trailed to the police who were currently detaining the villain and putting him in a police car. Then he glanced back at the blonde in front of him. "Are you mad that I caught the villain? I only just saw you going in for him after I already made a move... You know...heroes often act before they can think, so..."
Bakugou frowned at her. Obviously he's pissed, but as a hero he can't go admitting that. The first year as a new hero he made the mistake of saying everything on his mind, to the point where he got his agency in a lot of trouble. Ever since Inazumari became his manager, Bakugou learned what to say and what not to say in front of the media. Although he hates pretending, sometimes as a hero you do have to keep up the appearance. "No," he said through gritted teeth. This was the best he can do. Any sane person can tell that Bakugou was furious, but Rubber Girl just beamed at him, as if she truly believed him.
"Thank you so much! I'm so excited to work in this city with such an amazing hero like you! Please take care of me from now on!" She placed a hand out to him. Bakugou stared at her hand, and looked up, to see her raising a brow at him invitingly. He groaned as he put his hand in hers and gave it a firm shake. Suddenly she pulled him close and wrapped one arm around his waist and posed for the camera. "Now say cheese!" She held up her free hand in a peace sign and let the cameramen flash their machines at them.
Back in the agency, Inazumari turned the television off. He let out a long sigh, knowing this was Rubber Girl's tactic to gain popularity fast in the hero industry. It's his job as Bakugou's manager to make sure Bakugou's popularity isn't affected by her.
"That new girl, Rubber Girl, was it? She sure is pretty," Kamiko suddenly spoke, catching Inazumari's attention.
"Huh?" Inazumari froze for a second, trying to register her words. Once her words replayed in his head, he finally replied, "Oh uh...yeah? I guess?" He was more than used to seeing the sexualized costumes female heroes use to gain popularity, so he never thought much. The hero business nowadays is much like celebrities, so it's normal for people to use appearances to appeal to the masses. As a manager and someone who's familiar with the industry, Inazumari knows how fake those people can be. "But it doesn't really matter if they can't do their job right."
"Mm..." Kamiko hummed. She looked down. What was she wearing today? A mid-thigh grey cotton shorts, baggy black t-shirt with the words 'Potato' printed in bright orange. Compared to the hero on screen just now, her skin was rough, and she even has some dark circles under her eyes from years of sleep deprivation. She leaned back on the couch, rolling her head backwards to gaze at the ceiling.
She looked good next to Katsuki... Kamiko thought. Maybe he'd prefer those kind of girls... Her fist clenched at the thought. She remembered how close Bakugou's body stuck to Rubber Girl when she pulled him for a picture. Why didn't he push her away?! Did he perhaps enjoy it? Her boobs were practically squeezing him. "Ughh!" Kamiko growled as she got up from the couch.
"Iki-san?" Inazumari raised a brow when he saw the silver haired woman walk over to her office aggressively. Kamiko didn't answer him, and she closed the door behind her. Inazumari wondered what could have sparked the sudden change in her mood. He's not great with women, so he's not quite sure what to do. It's a little difficult for him to tell when women are in a bad mood, but Kamiko is the type to wear her emotions on face quite obviously, so even he could tell that she was upset.
The brunette manager ruffled his hair a little bit. Ah man... Women are so complicated, he thought.
Kamiko sat in her little office, working on her manga, but she couldn't take her mind off of that rookie hero that just debuted. Her left hand traveled to her chest. They definitely weren't considered small, but they were far from big. Kamiko had some curves, but she definitely wouldn't consider herself the sexy type. She glanced at the doorway, brows slightly furrowed. "I wonder what's taking him so long..." she muttered.
Bakugou really wanted to go. He didn't do jackshit here, so why is he and Kirishima and the others being swarmed by reporters?! As much as he just wanted to blow them to the moon, he can't do that. And everytime he tries to push past them, more people get in his face.
There are a few meaningful questions here and there but most people are interested in his personal life. "Ground Zero do you have a lover?"
"There have been rumors of you taking in a new female sidekick! When will we be meeting her?"
"Get the fuck out of my way extras!" Bakugou shouted at them. Kirishima hurriedly grabbed Bakugou before he could push a reporter and accidentally get himself in trouble.
"Hahah, sorry about him. The rumor is false. We have no female sidekicks in the agency, but we are planning on doing some recruiting later on in the year!" Kirishima said.
"What?" Bakugou growled back.
"Shh Bro you're gonna get us in trouble if you lash out at them. Let's just go," Kirishima whispered.
"You think I wanna stay here?! They won't fucking let us go!"
Meanwhile Kamiko was getting significantly bothered by the previous news, so she went online to see Ground Zero and Rubber Girl trending on Twitter. Already? She thought. She read through the tweets, ignoring the screenshots from the news earlier, only wanting to know what people thought of the new heroine.
"Oh my god did you see Rubber Girl? She's so hot!" a tweet read.
"I only just met her but I stan her and GZ!"
"How dare she stand next to my hubby?! GROUND ZERO IS MINE!"
Kamiko chuckled at the last tweet, for she could relate. However, most tweets were hyping up the new hero and talking about how good she and Bakugou looked together. There were also people speculating whether or not Bakugou already knew her before she debuted.
As she was scrolling she found a few tweets about the earlier scandals or rumors related to Bakugou.
Turns out it's not the first time he's been involves with female colleagues in the industry. There were plenty of rumors about him with a former coworker in his days as a sidekick. Also after he debuted as a solo hero too there were plenty of stories and pictures of him and other women. "I guess I'm not the special one huh..." Kamiko muttered. There was a strange knot in her stomach, a feeling that made her feel sick. "I wonder how many of these are true..."
It wasn't until the late afternoon that the heroes finally returned. Apparently they were caught up in a few other crimes in the afternoon. When Bakugou got back, he immediately went to Kamiko's office to check up on her. He found the woman leaning over her table, head down. "Shitty woman?" he called as he walked in. He gently placed hisbhand on her shoulder. "Hey, you sleeping?"
No response. Her back was rising and falling in a steady motion, and when Bakugou leaned close he could hear the music playing in her earbuds. Idiot. Don't you know that's bad for your ears? He rolled his eyes as he removed the earbuds. Kamiko shifted her head to facing him. Bakugou didn't know why he froze. Wasn't his purpose supposed to get her to go home? Why is he afraid of waking her up? Kamiko's eyes opened slightly. A soft smile formes on her lips as her brows softened at Bakugou. Right then and there, he swore his heart skipped a beat. "I love you Katsuki. Please don't go."
"What?" Bakugou's eyes widened, but Kamiko's closed back up. Holy shit... His face turned redder than Kirishima's hair as he stared at the woman. Did she just- Did she just tell me she loves me?! He suddenly realized that's the first time she's ever told him how she felt about him. All this time, their feelings for each other was so obvious he didn't even need to hear it from her, but boy does it feel different when she says it aloud, even if it's just sleep talking.
"Fuck Shithead... Tell me when you're awake," he muttered as he squatted down next to her. Bakugou ran his hand through his spiky blonde hair, his crimson eyes locked onto her sleeping face. "God I love you so much..."
He stood up and started packing her things. "Just this once, you shithead. I'll carry you back," he muttered. A soft smile played at his lips as he gently brushed her hair.
