Chapter 52: The Pack Protects Their Own!
"Who the hell are you!?" Riz yelled as he threw Alex to the ground and snarled at the six costumed animals.
They all removed their helmets to reveal their faces and heads underneath. "I, Durham, am the Red Ranger!" The coyote said.
"Orange Ranger Collot reporting for duty!" Collot called out.
"The smallest and most ferocious! Yellow Ranger Voss is ready for action!" The fennec fox yipped.
"Blue Ranger Miguno, here for the fight!" Miguno announced.
"Purple Ranger Jack!" The golden labrador cried out.
"Wait! There are only six canines in your dorm, and I don't smell Legosi! Who the hell is dressed up in pink?!" Riz growled in confusion.
The Pink Ranger took off her helmet and it was none other than… Haru! Riz shook his head before turning back to face Alex. "Whatever! I'll deal with you later! Can't you see that you're interrupting something?" The bear snarled.
In response, Haru struck the bear's back once more with her whip. "That's exactly why we're interfering! You hurt our friend Legosi! And we won't let you hurt Alex!" Haru cried out.
The bunny and five canines charged forwards, prepared to fight Riz. Haru struck at Riz several times with her whip, every single lash leaving a burning sensation on the ursine's fur and earning a roar of pain. Voss leapt onto the bear's stomach and used his armored helmet head to repeatedly bash the bear's belly over and over. "TAKE! THIS! YOU! BASTARD!" Voss yelled out in between headbutts.
However, Voss's attacks were only serving to further anger the massive behemoth. Snarling, Riz plucked the tiny fennec fox off of him and tossed him into Haru, sending both of them to the ground in a daze. "Yellow Ranger going down!" Voss yelled right before he collided with Haru.
"VOSS!" Collot yelled. The Orange Ranger rushed in and delivered a kick to Riz's crotch, making him grunt in pain. The sheepdog quickly followed his kick up with an uppercut to Riz's chin, before tackling the massive ursine and punching him in the face repeatedly. Snarling, Riz retaliated with a blow of his own to the sheepdog's face, and yanked on his wool-like fur.
Collot howled in pain as he felt his nose get bashed in, one of a canine's sensitive spots. Riz shoved the sheepdog off of him, and judo flipped Collot into the ground. Collot writhed in agony as he clutched his wrist. He was lucky that it hadn't been broken, or worse, torn off.
Durham and Miguno charged at Riz, going at him from both sides. The Red Ranger coyote wrapped his arms around Riz's neck, attempting to put their enemy in a headlock, while the blue-clad hyena barraged the bear with blows to the face and shoulders. "Come on, you bulky bitch! Go down already!" Durham yelled in frustration as the bear elbowed him in the side.
"Stupid mutts! Why did you have to interfere with my fight!? Alex isn't even a real student! He's just some lying, two faced cop who used you to get information!" Riz cried out angrily as he attempted to shake off the coyote. He jumped into the air, and while Durham was airborne, his grip slipped on the bear's neck a little. Taking advantage of that brief moment of weakness, Riz pried Durham's arms off of his neck and slammed him into the grass.
Miguno let out an amused snort, before bursting into hysterical laughter typical of hyenas. "Dumbass! You really don't know canines at all, do you?! And not even that! You don't even know what friendship is! Sure, Alex may not be a real student, but the bonds and friendships that he formed with everyone at Cherryton Academy were all real!" Miguno chuckled.
Riz then hit Miguno in the face with all his might, a sickening crack echoed through the air as Miguno felt something in his snout break. Without so much as a whimper, the Blue Ranger crumpled to the ground, blood oozing out of his nose.
"Now, where was I? Oh yes! About to end this albino wolf's pathetic life!" Riz sneered. He began to walk back towards Alex, but then he felt a small rock hit him in the back of his neck.
Annoyed, the bear whirled back around to see a golden labrador dressed in purple glaring at him. "Leave my friends alone, Riz!" Jack yelled out. He grabbed a trash can lid and held it like it was a shield, before sprinting at the ursine behemoth. Jack then brought his shield down on the carnivore, bashing and ramming the metal lid into the bear over and over.
"You hurt Legosi, and my pack! WHY!?" Jack barked angrily at Riz as he battered and bruised the killer up.
"Because… Legosi was asking… questions he had no business asking about!" Riz grunted as he grabbed Jack's makeshift shield and tore it out of his hands, before plowing the trash can topper into Jack's head. The sheer force of the blow sent Jack into unconsciousness, the labrador hitting the ground and not moving.
"Now, it's time to finish you!" Riz gloated, walking back towards Alex, but a sudden roar stopped the advancing ursine in his tracks.
"YOU'LL DO NO SUCH THING!" A boy's voice bellowed. Groaning in irritation, Riz began to swivel his head to see who yelled at him, only to get smacked in the face with a thrown book. He saw Bill, Els, Tao, and Kibi running towards him, with Bill dressed up in a strange school uniform and Els wearing a sailor costume. "As fellow members of the drama club, we will stop you!" Bill declared. The tiger, angora goat, black panther, and anteater charged forwards to fight their former friend.
