Guess who's back, *click, click* back again, *click click*
Yep, I'm back to do more 'MHA watches the MCU' and we'll be going into the biggest and most hype phase of the entire MCU timeline, Phase 3.
Now before I start I want to point something out.
Can you guys please stop sending guest reviews of Manga spoilers, I am tired of seeing someone saying 'in the latest Chapter' because it raises a red flag and I have to avert my eyes away from the screen and quickly remove the comment before I get spoiled. But even then I'm not quick enough to do that and gotten spoiled a few times.
Just because my two fanfictions do not have this caution, doesn't mean you can give those spoilers.
All I ask is to stop it and respect the anime-only fans of this MHA, I don't go around explaining why BakuDeku is a horrible ship because I respect others. So, you really shouldn't spoil season 6 to me or any of the non-manga readers who are looking at the reviews. (Rough estimate, it might be season 7 or the upcoming season, who knows).
Though speaking of that, and after learning what's going on. All I have to say is that this seems to be a coincidence, I don't know the details as to why the character did what they did (and for the love of crype, DO NOT TELL ME!), but I can pretty much tell the reason why they did it, and it's about time they did it. The theme around this idea will come up in the next film and this interlude.
I only hope that what happened isn't reversible, from what I heard seems to be the turning point of MHA just as how Winter Soldier was the turning point of the MCU. It's now done and there's no turning back.
Now with that being said, let's dive into the Interlude!
NOTE READ THIS: the following Interlude takes place after the audience watched The Incredibles in 'MHA watches The Incredibles' I recommend reading that fanfiction before reading this for some parts to make sense.
30:00 (BREAK START)
After Midoriya rushed out of the cinema, everyone else left the screen room and enter the cinema for their next break.
As always, there were additions. And for this case, there is a special piece of the wall that stood out, being near the exit doors and away from the MCU stuff.
It was a wall of images hanging on a red wall with the Incredibles logo above.
The images were the heroes and villains in the film. Each of them is an image of the character and a label that reads their name and hero name.
'Robert Parr/Mr. Incredible: The Strong hero'
'Helen Parr/Elastigirl: the stretching Heroine'
'Dash Parr/Dash: the fast kid hero'
'Violet Parr/Violet: the invisible hero'
'Lucius Best /Frozone: the ice hero'
There was also one image next to the heroes that stood out on its own with an image of the island below said image.
The label of this image reads 'Buddy Pine/Syndrome'
And last, next to the whole wall of these pictures is a mannequin that wears a replica of Mr. Incredible's old suit.
But it's not just these Incredible themed items that appeared in the cinema, there was one major object that stood out very well.
A big white box enough for a person to enter, especially when it has a sliding door attached. Above the door of this box, it had a label.
"Poll box?" Jiro reads the label, along with others, she was curious about the box.
Todoroki looked at the box and notice a piece of paper attached to the doors, he grabbed it off the door and read it out loud
'Dear ones
If you're not here to talk about this box, you'll have to help set up a portal for VDeku to enter. As I read this letter, he is likely still talking to Midoriya, so for continuity, I decided to leave this Google Translate letter and tell me about this box.'
"What?" one of the students raised a brow from what was said.
"Google Translate? Does she not know how to write Kanji?" one of the teachers asked.
"I suspected she did not," Aizawa pointed out, "and I don't think she knows Japanese either."
"But she does speak the language," Nejire pointed out. "how can she speak it if she doesn't know it?"
"I learned that she and Wyatt wore a special earpiece that lets them know what we're saying and allow them to speak the language we can understand."
"Well, that explains why they look foreign," Sero said, "and the American films…"
Shoto resume reading the letter
'At this point in writing this, I realized that you weren't going to understand what I was saying, so I decided to fudge it and write the rest in English, almite or If you have a present microphone or you translate this, you know your English.'
"And the rest is in English." Shoto pointed out.
"Let me read," Momo said, as Shoto pass the paper to the smart rich student.
She attempts to translate the rest of the paper.
'What you're looking at is the poll box. The upcoming film is going to be very special and has an interesting topic that I want to talk about, we're talking about a battle of ideology and sides and all that, which is why there's this box.
During the break, I want all of you to go into this box and answer three questions that will determine what side you're on. Think of this as a taste of the upcoming battle that you all are going to participate in. not an actual battle, just a battle of perspective.
I expect everyone to do this poll before break finishes.
From your friend.
-The FWM.'
PS: some guy in a top hat showed up and gave you guys cinnamon rolls, enjoy it as a treat.'
And by the time she reads that, someone notices a plate full of cinnamon rolls, a few students already getting themselves one.
"Well… that's nice…" Uraraka said, a little unsure about the food that was delivered by an unknown person.
And with that, their break starts.
28:35
Tsuyu Asui was the first person to enter the box, thinking that it's better to get it over with.
Upon arriving, she finds herself in a cramped space, not too small, just enough to fit a big person in the box.
There were a seat and touchscreen. She puts two and two together and proceeds to sit down to start answering the questions on the poll box.
She looked at the touchscreen and words start appearing, first to enter her name.
She writes her name before pressing continue.
The screen then shows three questions, each of them shocked Asui. But decided to take it one-by-one.
She starts with the first question.
1: What is more valuable?
A: Freedom
B: Security
It was the same question that FWM asked during Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which showed questionable moments to how a big government organization was secretly an evil group that planned to murder millions to give security.
While she was a little devastated by what she has seen from a helpful group that was S.H.I.E.L.D, she thought about the question itself and how she stands to what's more valuable.
Though she agrees that there has to be a form of balance, this question simply asks if she has to choose only one. And that's what makes it difficult.
She thought about it and made her decision. As much as she likes security, she understands that freedom has more value, keeping people safe is good, but not making them so safe that they can't do anything. They have their rights as well.
She answered the first question with A.
After the first question, she looked at the next question, one that's harder than the first
2: Which one of these statements are false?
A: 'A hero preserves order'
B: 'A hero gives anyone a chance'
This was much harder due to statements being there.
To her, A is the most truthful than the other, Pro heroes exist to preserve order to the public, to stop villains when they're breaking the law. B wouldn't be true because anyone would include villains, despite all the messages she was given from the villains, rules are rules. And breaking them would make them villains, they can't have a chance because they need to pay for what they have done.
So she answers the second question with B.
And finally, the third question.
3: Would you become a true hero if it means breaking the law?
A: Yes
B: No
At first, she was very confused about this question. A hero does not break the law. They shouldn't break the law.
But then she realized what the question meant.
It was talking about vigilantism. To extent, it's asking that if she is willing to become a vigilante?
Asui sighs while ribbiting. Thinking about the idea.
She always straight forward when it comes to rules, she remembers the words she told to her friends when they went off and save Bakugo from the League of Villains.
'If you're saying that you'll break the rules… those acts are the same as those of villains.'
She tried to warn her friends about what they're doing and she later regretted it afterwards. She felt bad
But would she join them to save Bakugo? Of course not, because she still stands to what she said.
She remembers the previous film about the idea of heroes being banned, though very unlikely if it happened to her reality, would she still go and become a hero, even if it's illegal?
Asui had to be honest to herself.
She answers the third question with B.
26:13
It was only a matter of time before Midoriya re-enters the cinema.
After his conversation with VDeku, he had many things in his head, enough for him to stay outside and think about them.
There were many things that he never thought of or considered before he arrived at this cinema, it was really scary how watching a bunch of films from a different reality could make him question not just hero society, but how pro heroes keep the meaning of a hero.
And now it was pushed even further with the villain version of himself.
He wasn't some version where the roles are reversed or if he were evil. He was no different to him, just one slight changed that took him on a dark path.
And knowing that he too could have been down that path if things went differently.
It showed how vulnerable and easy it was to go down that path, and he wonders if he wasn't the only one. That there were many unlucky people out there.
He thought about All Might words when he talked about when there are many people out there crying for help when he's too far away from everyone, accepting that he can't save everyone.
When he first heard those words, he thought he meant people who were in trouble, either from villain attacks or natural disasters. But perhaps he didn't just mean them.
He thought about Eri, a girl who he managed to save, she already suffered and cried for help, he came to help, but thought about what would have happened if he didn't?
He thought about the League also, who, while some of them are bad people, he considers that maybe at some point, they were the people who cried for help, everyone was a kid at some point, even villains, and they just had bad cards in their hands. He thought that maybe they became villains because when they cried for help, nobody came.
The only time they come is when they do crime and by that point, it was too late.
He thought about what he wants to become when he becomes a pro hero. At the start, he simply wanted to become a hero, but after All Might gave him One For All, he took the responsibility of becoming the next Symbol of Peace. It wasn't until he watches the MCU, he realizes that being that title will not help everyone, that the symbol would be temporally so long as a said symbol still breathes. So he changes his thought of being a hero of hope. Someone who can make hope and give everyone a bright future.
Now he learns that even if he achieves this, not everyone would have that bright future. That those who were unlucky in life, those who cry for help and not receive any, would eventually become villains.
He wanted to change this.
"Young Midoriya," he heard the voice of his teacher and his hero approaching him. "are you alright? Has something happened?"
"I'm alright, All Might," Midoriya answered. "Just had a lot of things to think about."
He then walks away, still in a concerning state. This troubles All Might, but know that he is just thinking about a lot of things.
He couldn't blame him, as these films made them think about a lot of things.
He just hopes that Midoriya would take these as lessons and make him into a better hero than he was.
20:03
After some of the students and teachers enter the white box, it was Himiko Toga's turn to go in the box and complete a forum. Being the first villain to do so.
She finds herself in a small space, noticing a seat and a touchscreen. She proceeds to sit down and look at the screen, finding three questions, each of them having two different answers.
Toga reads each one and answers them as follows
1: What is more valuable?
A: Freedom
B: Security
Freedom, this is the most obvious answer since it was presented in the previous Marvel films.
She felt that her world had too much security that which makes it unfair for people like her. This was her very reason she joined the League of Villains.
She didn't hesitate to answer A.
The second question was also obvious
2: Which one of these statements are false?
A: 'A hero preserves order'
B: 'A hero gives anyone a chance'
If this is trying to give a statement about a hero, then she would answer B. though she likes a little chaos, heroes are often strict towards order. If anyone tries to break their order or step out of line, accident or not, they wouldn't give them a second chance.
Another quick answer towards B.
The last questions, however, got her thinking a little more than the former two questions.
3: If you can change society, what will you do?
A: Make the world fair
B: Make the world yours
It was a very interesting question towards the League of Villain' ultimate goal. If they were able to change society, what can they do?
If she has the power to change society if she managed to overcome the heroes and win. What can she do to change the world?
She doesn't want to 'make the world hers'. As it applies to the typical villain trope of 'villains want to take over the world'. She doesn't want to rule the world, if she had that power, she wouldn't know what to do with it and have much more irresponsibility with it than to anyone else. She learned this after she cut her first person.
It was better for someone else, someone more manageable to have that power, but at the same time, she wants that someone to treat everyone fairly.
She wasn't a schemer or someone who wants power, but rather an extreme protester, someone who goes through to the extreme in hopes to make a better world, that's what Stain taught her. That's why she'd join the League. Because the world wasn't fair and she wants to make it fair.
In full conclusion, she makes her choice, she pressed A on her answer.
13:56
Time passes and a lot of people went through the white box, only a few people have set to do the forum, but there was enough time for them to relax.
The only person who doesn't need to vote is Eri.
She is only a kid, she's not a hero or a hero-in-training, nor a villain. She's rather the odd one out from everyone.
For the moment, she was sitting down, surrounded by students, next to the boy who saved her from Overhaul, Mirio, she sees him talking to his other two friends. She pays no attention to what they're talking about.
Instead, she was looking at her hand, remembering how far she went since she arrived at this place.
She remembers the first time something happened to her when Midoriya gave her the goggles and them being used for the first time.
*Memory Flashback*
She wasn't sure what to make of anything. She sees heroes on the big screen, she does like how the good guys are beating the bad guys, but she can't make up for what's going on in most of the films.
That's what was going on in the previous film and this film, a story about a man becoming a green monster.
Before the film, Midoriya gave her goggles, saying that it would shield her from any bad things that she shouldn't look at. There were one or two moments when both Midoriya and Mirio covered her eyes to keep her safe from seeing things she shouldn't see.
And the goggles are made so that the boys wouldn't have to cover her eyes.
Little did they know was when they first activate, during the scene when someone was lying down, getting injected by pointy needles.
First. She saw nothing but black.
Then, she finds herself somewhere she wasn't aware of, she finds herself not sitting, but standing.
She looks around to find herself in a narrow alleyway, with written words all around her, she didn't understand the words or know what they mean, yet she felt unease towards those words.
"Eri!" the voice of one of the boys shouted, she quickly turns to see a bright light coming from the alleyway, seeing a big figure. "Eri, are you there?"
She ran towards the light, feeling a little okay when they heard the voice. Closer and closer, the figure became clearer, it was the big blonde boy, Mirio in his hero outfit.
"There you are Eri," he said as she approaches him and hugs his legs. He strokes her hair in response.
After letting go, Mirio bends down to the same level as Eri. Giving out a happy smile, "hey Eri, can you do me a favour?"
"Yes?" she spoke to him, "what… what is it?"
"Can you use your quirk on me, so I can get my quirk back?"
Hearing this request frightened the girl.
"I… I… I don't' know…" she stutters, "what if I hurt you… what if I kill…"
"It's alright Eri," Mirio said in a nice tone, "it will work this time, you can help me… it will be alright Eri" he then pulls out his hand.
Eri hesitated at first, but slowly moved her hand towards Mirio, taking a deep breath and touch his hand.
She wasn't sure if she turns on her quirk or not, she could feel her horn growing, meaning that she is using her power on him.
She then let go of his hand and her quirk stops, she doesn't know how she did it. But she managed to use her quirk without hurting Mirio.
"Did… did it work?" she asked while the boy stood up. He suddenly sinks into the ground, which first scared the girl, but was jumped when he came back up, with a big smile and a chuckle.
"Yes it did, Eri. Good job" he said, looking at the girl, "thank you for everything."
"You're… welcome…" Eri said, feeling pleased for what she has done, but couldn't smile.
"Now that I got my quirk back… I don't need you anymore…"
Her positive thought faded from hearing those words, "wha… what?"
Eri sees Mirio, the boy who saved her, turn around and walk away into the light.
"Wait!?" she shouted, trying to run towards him.
But all sudden, she was stopped by her hand, like something snatch her hand and pulled her back, she turns to see a bright yellow glowing chain wrapped around her wrists. She panicked, tugging in hopes to break free, but to no avail.
"Don't leave me!" she cried out in tears, using her right hand to reach towards Mirio. But it was too late, he was gone.
"It sucks, right?" a new voice was heard. She turns to see the hooded girl standing with her hands in her pockets.
She was sure about the girl, she seemed a little scary, yet unsure. She watches as she steps around her, looking at the chain that wrapped her hand.
"Don't worry," FWM said, "I'll free you from those chains."
After she said those words, Eri found herself back at the screen room, the film went on and Midoriya looking at her.
What did she saw?
*Memory Flashback ends*
She knows what she saw; the harsh truth.
4:30
It was now Izuku Midoriya's time to go into the white box.
After being explained by his friends, he learns that everyone has to answer questions in the poll box. They also mentioned from some that the questions are straight forward, but some also mention that the questions had them think about many things, particularly towards the ideals of a hero.
This made Midoriya curious and wanted to go into the box to see these questions.
After sitting down, he looked at the presented screen and saw the questions.
He understands why some of them made them stop and think about heroes.
Maybe some of them had different answers if they had to take these questions before watching the film and the impact of the films made them think differently. While others might not change and keep to their ideals and answered how they see them.
But Midoriya, though he learned a lot, he never changes his mind upon these questions and the presented answers.
He had to be honest and answered the three questions about how he sees it.
Many would disagree with him, but this is his choice and how he sees what it means to be a hero…

When it's time for the next film, everyone went towards the entrance of the screen room.
The big words above read the next MCU film, 'MCU 13 – Captain America: Civil War.'
"Civil War?" All Might said, having a bad feeling for what the film is going to show him and the rest of the audience.
When the audience enters the screen room, they soon notice the seating are completely different and the screen showed a list of people, as though there were two groups.
(And what's on those groups? Well tune in to the next chapter to find out!)
Okay, I'm going to leave out which side they're on and before part 1 there will be a chapter to who I think would side with who. You can leave a review and explain which side you think they'll be on and it might change my mind.
But before you make those reviews, allow me to explain what Civil War is all about.
In the film, Civil War happens because of the Sokovia Accords, and Captain America and his team don't accept them, hence why they became outlaws and had to fight against Iron Man.
However, the argument on the Sokovia Accords isn't really the main point of the film.
It's not about whether or not the Sokovia Accords is right.
It's about whether or not a hero should work with the government and have to follow their rules.
This film is the second turning point of the MCU, the equivalent of the Pre-license era concludes and the Age of Pro Heroes begins, the Sokovia Accords is the MCU equivalent of the Quirk Laws put in place to prevent a mass grow of vigilantism and to keep control of heroes. that's what the Sokovia Accords does as well.
And yes, as a few of you have stated, there is a difference between the Quirk Laws and the Sokovia Accords, that the Sokovia Accords is more strict and the heroes have to wait until the government approve them to make investigations. But what people are forgetting is that the reason for that difference is time.
The Sokovia Accords in the MCU was recently made while the Quirk Laws in MHA had been around for decades. It's possible that when Quirk Laws started, it had restrictions that the Sokovia Accords had, but throughout the years had improvements to make it more fair and efficient for the heroes. We can even see the same for the Sokovia Accords when we get into Phase 4 of the MCU.
But what's in the Sokovia Accords doesn't matter, the Accords are an act of the government trying to control heroes and have the heroes work for them, instead of allowing them to do whatever they want and face little to no consequences when they cause problems. Such as collateral damages and potential civilian casualties they cause during their battle with a villain.
The Civil War in Marvel is an idea about whether or not a hero has to follow the rules of the government and go by their restrictions regardless of what they are.
Team Iron Man are those who agree with this, that they have to work with the government, that way, they have a better relationship with the government who in return allow them to do what they want so long as they follow their rules and laws.
Team Captain America on the other hand are those who don't agree with this, that they believe that they become heroes in their own way, they follow the law, but they don't follow the government and believe that they have to do what's right.
In the world of MHA, Pro Heroes are heavily on Team Iron Man while illegal Vigilantes that exist in MHA would be on Team Captain America.
Of course, I am not going to have all of the heroes be on Team Iron Man, with the changes after watching the films, they might of change their minds that leads to a different decision.
If you want to make a review on who should be on what side, then you have to answer these questions for both students and teachers. As to how they'll answer the three mentioned questions.
Do you see them becoming vigilantes if they were unable to become Pro Heroes?
For the teacher side, if the government made a law that they are uncomfortable about, would they still follow them to keep their hero status, or would they go against them, resulting in them becoming a villain/vigilante?
For the student side, if they were expelled from U.A or unable to obtain a Hero license, do you see them becoming a law-breaking vigilante when they can't be a law-abiding hero?
Villains of course will be Team Captain America, there is literally no reason for any of them to be part of Team Iron Man.
Also, keep this in notes, I side with Team Captain America, but I understand what Team Iron Man is about and its reason. So when I write Civil War, I'm going to try to keep things in balance, seeing the good and bad causes to both sides. As the debate itself has no right or wrong sides.
(NOTE: I wrote this part before that Manga spoiler, again, this is just a coincidence.)
