"The hell kinda crap is this! There is no way this is real!?" Megumin yells as she read a Book on chemistry.
"It is. We focus on more practical things back where I'm From. It led to us discovering some crazy things about the world. Letting us advance quite quickly. there was a time we had wars over whether magic was actually real or not actually. Eventually things have settled down and we use tech and Magic together to create a Great nation. We are actually on the other side of the world to where we are. Its why Japan is so far away." Ethan explains.
"But how? This is taking away all of my previous assumptions and tearing them to shreds!" Megumin Says.
"Believe it Girl. This is how we accomplish so much." Ethan retorts.
"Then. There's no way I can Make my explosion any better." Megumin whines. "Yes you can actually. Explosion is considered a very dangerous spell to fuck with where I'm from. it has the potential to destroy Japan if left unchecked. But here? We can do whatever we want baby." Ethan says spreading his arms wide.
"You, You mean it?" Megumin asks. "Yep. Now. Give me your staff. I wanna see what I can do to upgrade it." Ethan says.
"Oh! Uhm here." Megumin says.
Ethan Takes the Staff and Observes it. He See's some minor nicks and cracks but easily fixable. The red orb was interesting. "What's with this?" He asks pointing at the Red orb. "That's a Magical focus using a Mana Ruby. Considered the purest of magical Gem foci." Megumin says.
"Yeah no. Wrong." Ethan says as he flicks the orb and shatters it. Megumin was shocked. He then grabs out a pearl that Megumin new was Oozing with Mana. "These things are real gem foci here. Mana pearls. This can be combined with other materials to make a specific Mana based attack. Like say gunpowder, Sugar, Redstone, A Single Ruby and a Rainbow pearl." Ethan says as He Grabs the materials. He takes out the orange rainbow pearl and Splits the Mana Pearl into two smaller pearls that have merged with the items he says. He takes the smaller pearl and Sets it aside to fix the deep reddish orange pearl into the staff.
"Give me your eye patch real quick." He asks. She gives him it and He modified the eypatch to have the smaller pearl in the center. He gives it back. "That'll bring you more in tune with your staff. Giving you a Sort off link to it." He explains as He pulls out a Board of Crimson stem.
He Places it onto the staff and Uses molecular manipulation to merge the woods together. Making it slightly taller.
"Now I'm Gonna Also make this into a Proper weapon. As it will help Shape Explosion into more tangible and cheaper attacks that let you control and Bend explosion's Destructive force to your will." Ethan explains.
He Holds his arm out and Began to grow a crystal on it. It was Dark red in color and was shaped into a Blade like attachment it was shaped like the half of a Drawn Teardrop. At the cut end a Half circle was cut out for the foci to rest comfortably. He Added long spikes to embed into the wooden staff. He Breaks it off and then Pushed it into the wood. Using Crystallomancy to shape the crystal into bucklers that merged back into the blade after going through the wood.
He then Creates some thin wires to Be embedded into the wooden staff. He Removes the grip and grabs some Demon Hair string to make a Proper grip.
"There. Start channeling your Mana to your Eye patch. The foci in this should react accordingly." Ethan asks.
"Alright." Megumin says. She Focuses and The foci and the pearl glow a Bright red. The Blade glows a Bright red as Well.
"Good. Let's leave that for now and Practice spell formation. did you get the spells that I asked you to?" Ethan asks.
"Yeah. As much as it pains me to do so." Megumin says. "Good. Now. Show me the spells." He commands.
Meanwhile he is making an Identical Staff for him to use so he may train Megumin in spear fighting. All that time in Remnant was paying off.
"Ugh. Create Fire." Megumin casts.
A Small flame is Sprung forth at Megumin's Hand. She looks at it with Disgust. "Good. Now. Imagine that withing the fire is a Fuel. Use your knowledge from that Chemistry book without looking at it to make the flame burn brighter. Enough to turn it blue." Ethan instructs. "What?! Buts that's impossible to make hellfire!" She says. "Hellfire? No hellfire is Usually fueled by demonic magic. Blue fire is just an Even hotter normal fire." Ethan explains.
Megumin was shocked and Decided to give it a Go. She began to visualize something in her head. And Suddenly the flame was Now blue and Smaller. But she could tell that it was much more powerful.
"Woah." She gasps. "Now we got an Even hotter flame than before. Let's continue." Ethan says.
"Hah! Hah! Huh!" Megumin yells as She swings Her bladed staff at Ethan. He Parries her with each swing. They were not very harmful. Unpolished. But definitely improving. Ethan Slams his weapon's flat end into her head making her fall. "Get up! You think that is a good effort!? Please. You could barely harm a Little fly. If you used the Destruction aspect with your attacks you'd kill yourself in the process. Now get up!" He yells.
Megumin growls and Leaps forward to dash and Attempt to stab Ethan. He just dodges and Knocks her down. "Impressive. But clearly not enough." He remarks.
She growls as She gets up and Turns to him.
"So how are things going?" Kazuma asks. "Terrible. I was beaten till my bones are nearly broken, then healed and beaten again." Megumin whines.
"Because you lack Technique. I'm not gonna stop till I drive it into that skull of yours the way to fight without magic at first. After that. We'll attempt to integrate magic into your attacks." Ethan says.
"I hate you." Megumin wines. Yeah and you can bitch about it later. Eat." Ethan says. He places a Plated down in front of her. It was a Set meal for her new diet. "This meal should help you with what I have in store for you." Ethan says.
"Incredible. A Man such as yourself beating a helpless girl to only heal her and continue again. Please you have to train me!" Darkness exclaims. She was panting and blushing.
"No. I see no reason why." Ethan says. "Oh come on Hon. Be nice." Izumi scolds.
"I will not. If she wants to be my student she must keep her attitude in check. Besides she is clearly a trained knight. What do I got to teach her?" Ethan asks.
"Well she refuses to use a shield and barely knows how to use a sword." Kazuma says. Knowing what'll happen next.
Ethan Glares at Darkness who for once felt a little scared.
He growls and she shivers in fear. Not liking this one bit.
"Are you kidding me! A Knight such as yourself should know how to use thine sword to protect the people and a shield to protect the weak and wounded!" He scolds. "But look at you." He sneers. "Pathetic!" an Arrow stabs Darkness in the back. "Weak minded!" Another arrow to the side. "Unrefined!" An arrow to the knee. "And you have the gall to call yourself a Crusader!?" An Arrow labeled guilt stabs her in the stomach.
"A Crusader must keep their desires to themselves and not let it control their actions. For shame." Ethan scolds. Darkness just fell to ground humiliated.
"This isn't the humiliation I wanted." She whispers.
"But. As much as I hate to say it. There is hope." Ethan resides. He had his hand over his eyes.
"Huh?" She questions. "If you wish to be a Real knight. Come to the forest with me and Megumin tomorrow. Izumi will be joining me as I have an Idea to train you." Ethan says. Lalatina for once felt like this was gonna suck.
"PUT YOUR BACK INTO IT! IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE PAIN THEN THIS SHOULD BE EASY FOR YOU!" Ethan yells. He was in a Tracksuit with sunglasses and Eri was standing besides him in matching sunglasses and dress. He had strapped Pain Amplifying accessories to Darkness that went just over her pain to pleasure threshold for daily training.
"Yeah! You can do it!" Eri yells cutely.
"Oh Eris! This is torture! Pure unbridled torture!" Darkness complains as She drags a Metal block around.
"I must admit you're one hell of a Trainer." Kazuma comments. "Yep. Bow drop and give me twenty." Ethan commands.
"Wait what?" He asks. "Just because you're my brother doesn't mean you get to slack off! I'm Not gonna let you get yourself killed by a low level monster because you wanted me to make your party members useful. You're paying the price Zygotezuma!" Ethan grins Maliciously. Kazuma Whimpers and Suddenly makes a run for it. "NIGERUNDAYO!" He cries only to get entangled by black vines growing from the ground.
"You really think that you'll get away?" Izumi asks whilst giving grades to Megumin's test. A More intelligence driven part of her training.
"Hah! Sucks to be you Kazuma!" Aqua laughs. Only to stop when a Giant metal Fist grabs her head. "You aren't getting out of this either. I'm Gonna Shatter that ego of yours to make you the respectable goddess you should be." Ethan smirks. She pales instantly.
'This totally sucks!' Kazuma whines in his head.
Kazuma Pants as He Cut down his fourth giant toad. "Holy crap. That was pretty easy." He remarks. "Its because of my training. Look." Ethan says before pointing to Megumin.
She has been swinging her blade cutting down giant toads left and right. She was panting. Smiling, and Quite frankly. Having fun.
"This is amazing!" She yells. She Then Fired a Torrent of blue flames into another giant toad. Making a Hole into its chest.
"I must agree. Though it feels underwhelming to not be hit by these attacks for once." Darkness remarks. She was Managing to cut into a Giant toad albeit poorly. She didn't notice another one approach her and grab her to swallow her. "DARKNESS! I GOT YOU!" Aqua yells as she God Punches the Giant Toad's skull. Killing it thanks to the New gloves she has.
Darkness was Pushed out covered in slime. Blushing like hell and Utterly in bliss.
"You let that happen again and you won't get the Bracelet." Izumi says using Black Vine Whip and Thorn creation to kill some giant toads. She had Eri on her back.
"Right!" Darkness says determined now.
She got up and Swung her blade killing the toad she was fighting before.
Kazuma watches as his team was racking up kills.
"Wow." He remarks. "Yep." Ethan Smirks as He Pulls out a Card. He Half mindedly tosses it into a Toad's Mouth that was about to eat him But it was then suddenly impaled by adamant shards.
It fell to the ground dead. "Want me to Make a big carriage to carry the killed toads in?" Ethan asks his brother. "That would be appreciated yes." Kazuma says.
And scene. God damn I'm just spewing these out.
