It Took Us a While

The bungalow house is big enough to house both her and Levi.
As what her father tells them, it is owned by one of his colleagues who is busy working outside the country. They did promised the man that they would take care of it which is no doubt for Levi, knowing he could handle such a thing.
The house painted in good and pleasing shade of blue and grey, a bungalow, is fitting for them as it is not too big, not too fancy and not too small. Just a single floor which is painted pastel yellow and white inside is also as good into the eyes as outside, single detached complete with all parts of the house and what is good is that some necessary furniture are already there. A dining table and chairs, refrigerator, a sofa and a bed as well as some closet and cabinets were provided. Seeing the entire place, Levi felt already beyond blessed but he knows that something is missing.
"Zoe, you're going to need your study table for sure." Seeing the bedroom, it was good enough for a bed in the middle and two closet in each side of the foot of the room. Seeing it, Levi thought that maybe they can move the bed more on the left side and put the study table to its opposite side.
"Of course I will! Can I get my study table and put it here instead?"
"Should we just buy one Zoe?" her father asked. "You'll just end up piling all your things from your study table at home to the floor."
"But dad-"
"Plus, it would save me or Levi for fixing it for you. That will also only have us only bring your bags with you, nothing else because if we bring your study table, I'm not sure if we could everything in the car with you and your bags." Hanji sighed upon hearing her father's reason and let him be. It'll be pointless to argue with her dad because if she will, they might end up having her bring everything here on her own.
"So the two of you are settled here then?" Hanji's father asked them and the two agreed.
"Yes dad, I guess we are."
"This place is great, we can't thank you enough for this." Exclaimed Levi, whole appreciation present on his face. "I promise to pay the monthly electric and water bill."
Hanji's father could only smile at Levi and nodded at him. "Yes son, of course. For the meantime, let's have lunch outside."
The three of them headed outside and drove off into the inner city and looked around for a good restaurant.
"I hope you like Chinese food" Hanji's father told them, more specifically to Levi.
"Chinese food is great sir, I liked their tea." Levi assures the older man as they parked along.
"That's good to hear Levi. Thought that you might not be fond of that kind of cuisine." The older man went on saying and together, they all headed inside the restaurant to eat.
On the dining table, they discussed their needs and other priorities before going to college officially.
"Are you already enrolled Levi?" asked by Hanji's father while the ordered food is being prepared.
"I'm planning within the week sir" he tells the older man. A pot of fresh hot tea was given to them and they all thanked the waiter who brought it to them.
"So is Zoe but she will be enrolling by Friday, do you want to come with us that time and enroll yourself so it will also be less hassle for your case." Hanji's father suggested. "We can also start bringing in some of your things too."
"That would be great sir, thank you" Levi exclaimed.
"After this, do you kids want to buy your materials for college? Papers, notebooks, pens, all those kind of things?" the older man once again asked and afterwards, drank a cup of tea. Seriously, Levi thought. Hanji's father is not going to stop unless their food is served and silently wished that it would be served sooner.
Levi was not able to answer the older man and looked at Hanji instead.
"That's good dad,, maybe we can." Because it always excites her to shop for such things and could imagine using them for learning.
"Maybe I'll pass sir, I still haven't budgeted my money for this school year." Levi retorts back and Hanji didn't seemed to be expecting that, suddenly feeling guilty of not even thinking of his part.
"That would be fine, I can cover that. College does not require plenty of things to buy from the bookstore anyway. Maybe just the important ones? I'm sure they won't cause a thousand." Hanji's father suggested but his suggestion made Levi feel like a free loader already. He is never used of trusting and depending on anybody, most especially when it revolves his necessities in life. He got used of providing for himself, nothing else.
"Levi, it's okay" Hanji's hand was on his arm, squeezing it a bit. He was then brought back to reality and did not notice the food being placed in front of him. He must have taken too much on his thoughts.
After dinner, they went by a bookstore and bought pens, some paper and some filler notes and a notebook of two. It sure did not reach a thousand or even half of it and Levi decided to pay but was shrugged off by Hanji's father, telling him it's all in his account.
"It's not much son, so don't feel bad. I know you have always been independent and fend off on your own. So for this time, even just this time, accept my offer of blessings to you." Levi was caught off guard on Hanji's father's words and felt a bit like of an asshole for not accepting his kindness.
"Thank you sir, I do appreciate your kindness a lot." He tells him instead and the older man pats his head instead.
"Yes and you're welcome, Levi. You deserve it." Hanji's father assures him again and gave him the things he chose to buy and stared at it inside the paper bag.
They went home afterwards, a three two and a half hour drive and Hanji had slept on his shoulder. He carefully balanced her head on his shoulder as he recalled the places they went earlier because unknown to them, he is already scouting places where to work like the bookstore and the Chinese restaurants and the nearby cafes and local Mcdonalds so he could prepare his resume.
With a new found hope and promise, he would take care of Hanji and at least show and give her family something to show his gratitude soon, a vow of not failing them down at least.

It only took two weeks and little did they know, they are living under the same roof.

Whilst for Hanji, hearing him say that clearly clarified things to her. He was just scared or excited even or even nervous by his looks and is already getting anxious. "For the mean time, why don't you help me out with my things to pack?" Levi nodded, knowing that it would be best for him to help her out to avoid having her pack unnecessary things.
As for Hanji, asking him to do something else that is also productive would help him stay out of his clouded thoughts for the mean time.

It took only a couple of nights, and they were already living together.

Hanji find his answer confusing at first but thinking thoroughly on it, she immediately understood why. She could only at him for that, at least happy that he could trust her. If they are to be in a relationship and she knows they both lack knowledge in that part, understanding and acceptance is a need so she feels that she is doing it pretty well and wanted to pat herself for making Levi happy.
