As the 3rd year of high school begins in earnest, will Uesugi Fuutarou be able to help the quintuplets he's been asked to tutor come closer to their dreams? And will he be able to come to terms with his feelings? The second half of their story begins.

53. Chapter 53:Sunrise Festival-1st Day 4

12:45 PM

Isanari:"Well, we'll keep looking around. See you."

Raiha:"Have fun, bro!"

Fuutarou:"Fun, huh? Either way, I should get back."

Nino:"What a hard worker."

Miku:"Don't push yourself too hard. Say, Nino. Mind holding this sign? I got a bunch of new ingredients, so I'd rather go through them quicker."

Nino:"Huh?"

For the next while, Nino unenthusiastically tried to get more people to come to the stall. Soon, two people came to where they were.

1:40 PM

"Yo!"

Excited, Nino turned to see who it was. It was the two managers.

Kari:"So this is where you were."

Hibari:"Miku-chan!"

Miku:"Glad you could make it."

After an initial blank stare, Nino changed her expression completely.

Nino:"You came, manager!"

Kari:"Huh? Was that a hint of disappointment I saw?"

Hibari:"We were told this class had two stalls, so we took a guess. Good thing you were here."

Nino:"Oh, we should have given you a map...Did Ichika get one?"

Miku:"I..don't think so…But she should be fine, I think."

Ichika:"Now that I think about it, I have no idea where any of the stalls are…"

Hibari:"Kari-kun finally got the guts to ride his motorcycle again."

Kari:"I've been riding just fine for a while now."

Hibari:"With a distinct lack of cool tricks, I might add."

Kari:"Doctor did advise against those for a few months."

Nino:"Oh, uh, sorry…"

Hibari:"Oh, it's fine. I'm just teasing him."

Kari:"Looks like someone wants to feel the rush. I'll make sure you grab on to me tight."

Hibari:"W-What are you saying in front of the kids!?."

Nino/Miku:[How cute.]

Kari:"Where are the other sisters? May-san should be around here."

Nino:"May? Oh, Itsuki. I haven't seen her actually. I should have asked Fuu-kun if he knew…Let me call her."

Miku:"Would you like some pancakes?"

Hibari:"Of course!"

Kari:"So delicious!"

Hibari:"Oh, Miku...You're making me tear up. You've gotten so much better."

Miku:"Thank you!"

Hibari:"Almost makes up for all the times I almost died."

Miku:"A...Ahaha."

Nino:"Well, I tried, but she's not picking up. Must have put it on silent. I'll go look for her, then."

Nino:"Our other stand is over there, by the way."

Nino points the two managers to the right direction before leaving.

Miku blushed as she fixed her hair once again. The long day had begun to make her hair unruly.

"I'm really glad Miku-chan suggested we do a pancake stand."

"Ah! Aren't those guys from our class? What are they doing?"

"Must be spying on the other stands. How underhanded."

"We can't lose to the guys and their takoyaki stand! Let's do our best, Miku-chan!"

Miku:"...A-Ah...About the...guys in our class…" [Let's stop being so stubborn and make up with them! I'm sure It'll be more fun together!...Is something I wish I could say with more courage…]

"What's up, Miku-chan?"

Miku:[Is everyone else fine with this…? The girls get along well...But this could give Fuutarou and Yotsuba trouble.]

Both Miku and Fuutarou jump.

Miku:"H-Hey…" [I feel like I'm gonna have a panic attack.]

"Ahaha, there's no way Uesugi-kun would know."

"I thought he might know since he's so close to the five of you."

Fuutarou:"Haha...This is the first time I've heard of it…"

"You see?"

Miku:"T-That's enough! Geez!"

"Ah...Sorry."

"A good opportunity might come up if we were together with the boys…"

"Yeah, there are only girls here."

Fuutarou:"Just make up already."

"Huh? Us? With that lot!? No way! We're having enough fun by ourselves, and things turned out like this in the first place because we couldn't get along...Even if we insinuated the problem.."

"But this is the last festival. I'm sure the boys want to reconcile with us, don't you think?"

"I doubt that…"

Miku got an idea.

Miku:"U-Um...If you guys want, I can go to the boy's stall."

Fuutarou:"Hmm, that might be a good idea. I'll go too."

Miku:[I can't just let this sit...The boys might want to make up too…!]

"We're not gonna lose to those damn girls!"

"Yeah!"

Miku:[Well, I didn't need to ask…]

Fuutarou:"This rift is even worse than I've heard. Both sides are being too stubborn."

Miku:"You have any ideas, Fuutarou?"

Fuutarou:"...The only one who can turn this situation around is you, Miku."

Miku:"Huh?"

Nino was looking around for Itsuki.

Nino:[Where could she be? Think, If I was Itsuki, where woul-] "The cafeteria…Sorry, Itsuki, that was pretty mean."

Despite her inner apology, she went to the cafeteria anyway. Once she got there, two boys holding a plate of takoyaki left as she opened the door. Once she took a look inside, she saw that familiar figure looking down at a set of worksheets.

Nino:[There she is..]

Before she could call out to her, she noticed a lady in a suit sitting opposite to her on the table.

Nino:[Who's that?]
