"Hey Yumi, Ulrich, how have you been?" Jeremie greeted his friends as he handed them their visitor's passes. "Thanks," Ulrich accepted them and handed Yumi hers. "We're doing fine," he said. "Great. Let's go. Aelita's waiting upstairs," Jeremie led the way. "Has anything exciting happened today?" Yumi asked.

The blond haired man thought for a while. "I guess you could say that. Our employees arranged a delicious lunch for us. Our clients have all chosen to renew their contracts. I had expected it to be more of an issue since we're a relatively new company. Maybe it because of the remnant reputation of the former company. Although, I hope, we are steadily showing our capabilities. I suspect we won't have much trouble upholding our professionalism."

Yumi glanced at Ulrich, who just shrugged. "If you say so, it must be true," he clapped him on his back. Jeremie was startled. "Oh, have you already heard the latest news from Aelita?" He turned to Yumi, who shook her head. "Then you should get ready for something nice," he smiled as they entered the lab.

"Hi guys!" Aelita came over and hugged Yumi. "Congratulations on a successfully completed year," Ulrich told them. Yumi followed up. "Yes, may there be many more." The younger couple smiled gratefully at them. "It's been a long road, but I'm proud of where we are now," Aelita said, then looked at her boyfriend. "Has Jeremie already told you?" She asked upon releasing Yumi, who shook her head with more visible confusion than a few seconds ago. "Okay, what's up?" The Japanese woman said.

"Remember how I wanted to surprise Jeremie with the date?" Yumi nodded at Aelita. "It seems Jeremie had the same idea!" She enthusiastically revealed. "You mean, you have extra tickets now?" Ulrich deduced. The Einsteins nodded simultaneously. "That's right, Ulrich," Jeremie affirmed. "So, I know this is kind of short notice, but would you two like to go with us?" Aelita asked.

"Oh," Yumi waved her hands in refusal. "No, it was supposed to be for you two. It's a precious date. Don't let us ruin your alone time." Aelita giggled. "Ah, come on Yumi. We," she gestured to Jeremie and herself, "already discussed it. We wouldn't mind at all. Besides, we have never been on a double date before. It will be fun. The more, the merrier," Aelita tried to convince Yumi.

"How about it, Ulrich?" Jeremie went to stand next to the taller man. "I don't know. Yumi does have point. It was supposed to be your gift, not ours." He thought again. "But Aelita is also right. When will we have this opportunity again?"

There was a moment of silence until the door opened. "Congratulations!" Odd shouted as he entered. Everyone looked at him as though he was a stranger. "What a warm welcome," Odd sarcastically remarked while closing the door. "It's just, nobody expected you to show. You have been very busy right?" Yumi pointed out. "I'm a capable man Yumi. I have progressed here and there and now I'm in this room, ready to party!"

"Are you sure?" Ulrich pressed on.

"Yeah, no worries at all." Odd assured them. "That said," he rustled in his bag denying them the chance to question him again, "I forgot to give this to you guys." He handed them a pair of tickets. They all noticed the patterns and text on the papers and started laughing. "What? Did I miss something?"

Jeremie recovered first and pulled out his tickets. Aelita followed suit with the ones received from the remaining couple. "That's hilarious. How is that even possible?" Yumi wondered aloud. Aelita checked them all. "They were even booked the same day," she said. "Incredible," Jeremie added.

"Shall we turn this into a triple date then?" Aelita asked.

No one was refusing now. The coincidence had turned the anniversary day into a really special one. "Okay, we'll go," Yumi said. "Right?" She saw Ulrich nod in approval. "That leaves you Odd," Jeremie said.

"Ah," the shortest male suddenly wasn't as excited anymore. "Do you have other plans?"

"No. Kelly and I had a fight. I don't want to wreck the mood."

"What did you fight about?" Ulrich asked.

"She wants to go on a date, but I have been too busy. It got her angry." Odd scratched his head.

"So? Isn't this your moment to shine?" Yumi was confused. The others also didn't seem to see a problem.

"It's just, she has trouble fitting in when it's the six of us. Maybe she'll still be mad at me, like I'm trying to cover it up by hanging out with you guys."

"Which isn't the case, I hope," Yumi crossed her arms.

"Of course not!" Odd denied.

"Ask her first. You cannot mess up that way," Ulrich suggested.

"Isn't asking also implying-," Odd was cut off by Aelita grabbing him by his shoulders. "You want to make up, don't you?" Aelita sternly asked, to which Odd simply nodded. "Then be your usual confident self. We can help you later if she still has things on her mind. But now, you can do this for her," she said with a calm voice. "Right," Odd checked.

He stepped out to call her.

"I guess our Casanova is finally growing up huh," Ulrich was happy for his close friend. "That probably goes for all of us though," Jeremie said. Aelita smiled at him. "Maybe Odd can join us too next week's Sunday," Yumi interrupted the flow. "I'll ask him later," Ulrich said. "Okay." The four of them waited for Odd to return. "Didn't you also have work to discuss?" Yumi changed topics.

"Yes. If we actually get to meet that CEO during this event, we want to propose a collaboration between our companies for a winter event. A sort of virtual reality tournament for couples, which would be taking place in December. We'll be in the last phase in two months and we would love it if you guys could be our test subjects again," Aelita explained.

"I'm always up for a good game, princess," Ulrich said. Aelita giggled. "I'm sure Odd is too," he added. "We can talk about that later. It's not an urgent matter, but we wanted to inform you anyway," Jeremie said. His girlfriend nodded happily.

Odd quietly stepped back into the room. "Well?" Ulrich urged. "She said yes," he dramatically revealed.

"Great Odd," Ulrich gave him a thumbs up.

"I guess I was being a little paranoid," Odd admitted. "Or maybe you were only worried about Kelly's thoughts?" Yumi countered. "Which is perfectly normal," Aelita said. The women smiled at each other.

"Let's get some drinks before temporarily parting ways today," Jeremie opened the door. They all agreed.

Afterwards Yumi and Ulrich headed back to the company to get some more work done. Yumi was a little distracted, but managed to finish her work. She was positive that tonight, nobody could stop them from having a good time.
