She couldn't help but to smile at the memory, part pain, part joy as she leaned up to kiss the underside of his jaw. "Maybe we weren't free at first, but I think we earned our freedom with our mating."
Her words brought his own memories to the forefront of his mind and Toga wondered if she was thinking about the same thing. That day they had decided to become friends had been the turning point of their relationship. Closing his eyes, he rested his chin atop her head. "What made you think of such things?" he wondered, leaning back in the chair with her.
It was not often that Toga asked about her visions and Fuiasu doubted that even in this instance, he realized that was what he was doing. A lot of the time, she was unable to tell him what she had seen, too worried about changing something she knew must come to happen. But there were times, like now, that his advice was greatly needed and could not hurt anything. "I had a vision," she murmured, closing her own eyes and listening to the sound of his heart. "Of Kagome, again."
He peeked down at her, surprised; surely it could not be that bad or eventful, if she was going to speak of it to him. "What did you see?" he asked quietly.
