Annabeth, Percy, and I walked down the block towards where they said was a candy shop. "So," Percy asked. "How did you meet my mom?"
"Well she, uh, found me in an alleyway, crying, she calmed me down and invited me inside. I didn't know it was your mother until I noticed the blue cookies and pictures," I said.
Percy's face lit up. "My mom made blue cookies?"
"Oh, Seaweed Brain, they were sitting right on the counter," Annabeth said. Percy looked at her and rolled his eyes.
"So Trish, why are we going to a candy store?" Annabeth asked.
"Well I need to try and make it up to Travis, so I thought I would bring him a little peace offering," I explained.
"I wouldn't have thought that the Stoll's would get along with you so well," Annabeth wondered. I snickered if only she knew.
"Yeah, I mean they call you their sister." Percy turned to Annabeth. "They even call themselves the CTT."
As soon as we got close to the candy shop, I could smell it. I didn't even need to see it, I could smell it a block away. We walked up to the storefront and I peered in, I hadn't seen that much candy in my life, and it had the most delicious smell. Percy opened the door for us and we walked in. As soon as we were inside, Percy bolted for the jellybeans. I just walked around grabbing random candy that I thought Travis would like.
"Hey look!" Percy said. "There's gummy penguins!" Annabeth just laughed.
By the time I was finished picking out candy, Percy had already filled 3 plastic bags full of blue jelly beans and other blue candies, and trust me, these weren't small bags. All three of us walked out of that store a little bit happier than when we had come in. Percy was happy to have blue candy, Annabeth was happy because Percy was happy, and I was happy because I hadn't had that much fun in a long time.
"So, now what?" Percy asked.
"We should probably start heading to camp, Chiron will be worried," Annabeth explained.
"Awe," Percy pouted, "I want to stay in New York for a bit now that we're here already. I haven't been here since we got here."
"Percy, that makes no sense, you know that right?" Annabeth asked.
"Eh, it sounded right to me," Percy said, shrugging. Annabeth grabbed his hand and kissed him on the cheek.
"Will you guys stop being all lovey-dovey," I said, disgusted. I took my hands and pushed the two apart and started walking in between them like an annoying sister. "Where are we going anyway?"
"To find Mrs. O'Leary." Percy said, "She's probably at the park or something, she loves it there."
We walk into the greenest area I have ever seen in New York. I guessed it was Central Park by looking at a memorial I read. We were walking for a little while longer when Percy let out a loud whistle. All of a sudden, a hellhound bounded out of nowhere. It jumped on Percy and flattened him to the ground.
"Hey girl, have you been up too?" Percy asked her. She let out a loud woof that sounded like a train horn.
"Come on Percy, stop goofing around and let's get to camp," Annabeth said.
"Fine," he then proceeded by whispering something in the hellhound's giant ear.
Percy hopped up on Mrs.O'Leary's back. "Come on," Percy said to me, he held his hand out to help me up. I ignored it and helped myself up.
"Okay, you should probably hold on," Annabeth told me. I grabbed Mrs. O'Leary's fur as she took off toward a shadow and jumped in. Before I knew it, we were at camp. I hopped off of Mrs. O'Leary's back with the bag of candy for Travis in my hand. I ran for the Big House.
I bound up the porch stairs and into the house. As soon as I ran through the doorway, I saw Chiron in horse form staring at me.
"I see Percy and Annabeth were able to find you, we were-," I cut him off.
"No time to talk, where's Travis?" I asked out of breath.
"He's, uh, he's in his cabin." Chiron seemed a bit confused, but I took off running for the Hermes cabin and didn't slow down until I was at their door. I knocked and it opened.
It just so happened that Jamie was the one who answered the door. "T-Trish? W-what?"
"Where's Travis?" I asked him.
"He's on his, uh, bed."
I pushed past Jamie and walked into the cabin. Like Jamie had said, Travis was lying face down in his bed. I sat on the edge of the bed and Travis looked up.
"Oh, it's you," he snapped.
"Travis, please just hear me out," I begged.
"No," he said slamming his head against his pillow.
Jamie stares at us. "I'll, uh, leave," he then turned around and closed the door behind him.
I got off of Travis's bed and kneeled beside him. I looked him in the face best I could and said, "Look, I know your mad for me leaving, but I'm back, and I don't want to leave anymore. I didn't know if this would help or not, but I brought you some candy." I then plopped the bag of candy next to his head.
He lifted his head slightly to look at it. When he saw all of it, he sat up, fully. He eyes the bag cautiously, then grabbed it. He pulled the bag open and grabbed a hand full of candy. He then proceeded by shoving it in his mouth. "Thanks," he murmured.
I got up and started for the door. "Wait," he said. I turned back around and looked at him.
"D-did you just get back?"
"Uh, yeah?"
"And you came straight to me?"
"Of course I did," I said sitting down next to him. "You're my brother, I don't want you to be upset." This made Travis smile.
"I didn't want to leave in the first place," I continued, "I thought it would be the best thing for me, but then I realized that it wasn't, I belong here."
Travis took another handful of candy, shoved it in his mouth, and leaned his head on my shoulder.
All of a sudden the door bursts open and in walks Connor. "Yes! The CTT is back in business!" He yelled. He walked over to us and sat on the other side of me and copied his brother by leaning his head on my other shoulder and began pulling candy out of Travis's bag.
We stayed there like that for what seemed like hours, but I was just glad to have my brothers back.
