SmackDown
Tonight's live episode of Friday Night SmackDown was gonna be kicked off a first round match of the King of the Ring tournament. Tonight, would have all of the first-round matches of the King of the Ring tournament with a Championship main event with Sasha Banks defending her SmackDown Women's Championship against Nikki Cross. And the opening match of the night was gonna be a slobber knocker and it was gonna be Ced taking on last year's King of the Ring winner, Baron Corbin in a first round match –up.
"Icon" Hits
The WWE Universe cheered damn near blowing the roof off the joint as the man who hoped to win the King of the Ring tournament walked out onto the stage looking down at the arena floor as the lights in the arena were going in a random disarray of colors.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a first round match in the 2020 King of the Ring tournament. Introducing first, making his way to the ring, from Charlotte, North Carolina. Weighing in at 250 Pounds. Ced!"
Ced looked up from the stage floor and spit out his water in the form of a mist before he started making his way down the ramp with a frown. Once he reached the ringside area, he looked around at the fans before he walked around to the steel steps. He ran up the steps and entered the ring making a beeline to the corner. He stepped up on the middle turnbuckle and did his pose getting cheers from the fans.
"I Bring The Darkness (End of Days)" Hits
The crowd that was once cheering started to boo as they heard the music of last year's King of the Ring winner. In the ring, Ced seemed to be jumping side to-side keeping himself ready for the match.
"And his opponent, making his way to the ring, from Kansas City. Weighing in at 285 Pounds. Baron Corbin!"
Corbin came walking out in his ring gear with a black and gold crown on his ehad and scepter. Corbin smirked as he raised his arm up holding his scepter up in the air. He locked eyes with Ced talking trash as Ced just looked on not saying much. Corbin walked down the ramp and walked around to the steel steps and ran up the steps entering the ring. He walked towards the center of the ring and raised his scepter once more before his music faded off to the background. Corbin hand his crown and scepter off to the ring crew as the referee called for the bell.
Ding-Ding-Ding!
Ced, Corbin, first round King of the Ring match underway. Ced and Corbin circled around the ring looking to lock it up. Ced attempted to lock it up with Corbin but Corbin kicked him in the gut making him hunch over with a grunt. Baron Corbin sent "Young Simba" down to a knee with a clubbing shot to the back before dragging him on over to the corner. "King" Corbin began to go to work on the young superstar with an assault of strikes. Corbin dragged Ced out of the corner to the next turnbuckle and continued his assault on the young star. Corbin wrapped his hands around the throat of Ced choking him in the process as the referee came over to Corbin counting.

4, Corbin released the hold as the referee scolded him while he backed up a bit. Corbin came walking towards Ced who kicked him in the gut and threw him into the corner. Ced with a flurry of right hands in the corner. Ced finished up his offense in the corner with a few kicks to the gut getting Corbin to lower in the corner. "Young Simba" began stomping a mudhole in Corbin before he was pulled off by the referee. The referee began to scold Ced who simply put ignored it and walked to Corbin who was pulling himself up in the corner. Ced came running over to "King" Corbin and once again started to assault him with right hands before he whipped him in the corner across the ring into the corner.
Ced came running towards Corbin only to meet a back elbow from former Constable of Raw. Ced stumbled back a bit with a hand on his mouth before Corbin came swinging at the former Intercontinental Champion who ducked it and waited for Corbin to turn around before dropping him a well-placed dropkick to the mouth. Hook of the leg by Ced.
1, Corbin powered out at 1 right before the two. Ced refused to give up the chance for more offense and mounted over Baron Corbin and started to pile in rights on the head of Baron Corbin before he stood up to a vertical base and bent down grabbing a hold of Corbin making him rise up to his feet. Ced with a well-placed right hand sending Corbin stumbling back. Ced with another right-hand making Corbin stumble back to the ropes. As Corbin leaned against the ropes, Ced struck Corbin with another kick to the gut making Corbin grunt. Ced attempted to whip Corbin across the ring but Corbin reversed it and when Ced came off the ropes, Corbin used his momentum against him to lift him up in the air with a Back Body Drop putting him flat on his back in the center of the ring. Corbin walked over to Ced and began to stomp him down in the center of the ring as the fans booed.
"Shut up!" Corbin turned around facing the fans and shouted as they booed even louder. This gave Ced a window of opportunity that he took getting Corbin with a school-boy roll up grabbing a hold of the tights.

Ding-Ding-Ding!
Ced quickly rolled out of the ring and raised his arms in the air as his music hit the PA System. The fans cheered loudly as the match ended just as soon as it started. They were happy that Ced was the winner and that he was the guy advancing into the Quarterfinals of the tournament which was gonna take place next week live on SmackDown. Or at least the SmackDown's portion.
