SmackDown: 8/1/2010

Friday Night SmackDown was live at the Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. A video recap of last week's Beat the Clock Challenge airs. CM Punk set the time at 7:20. Kane and Dolph Ziggler could not answer that time but Rey Mysterio could after defeating Chris Jericho with one second left. Batista looked to have R-Truth beat but Rey Mysterio pulled out the referee and time expired. Mysterio apparently won but Vickie Guerrero came out to let him know that he, the Bladewolf and Batista would fight next week to determine the true number one contender for Undertaker's World Heavyweight Championship.

Batista's music hits and he comes out to the stage. He demands his music be cut and a spotlight put on him. Batista then demands his music be restart and he comes to the ring that way. Batista says it's a brand new year and it seems like nothing has changed. The crowd still boos him and Teddy Long still sticks it to him. First he screws him out of the title at TLC and then he has the nerve to say nothing about Rey Mysterio getting involved in his Beat the Clock match last week. Batista appreciates Vickie Guerrero trying to make things right but she's not the GM, she should be, but she's not. Batista, as the rightful World Heavyweight Champion, demands an explanation. Batista calls Teddy Long out to explain why the number one star in WWE is being treated so unfairly that there won't be a match with Rey Mysterio tonight. Teddy Long doesn't come out quick enough and he says he'll walk and the crowd will follow since they paid to see him.

Rey Mysterio's music hits and he comes out to the stage instead of Teddy Long. Mysterio says the reason why he isn't World Champion is because he's blinded by his selfishness and greed. Finally his true colors are coming out and everyone can see it. Batista is nothing but an arrogant crybaby. Batista takes exception to that and says he beat Mysterio's time. Mysterio says he didn't lose, he got some payback. Batista interfered in his championship match against Undertaker so he figured he?d return the favor. Mysterio doesn't complain about their match as he's ready to go. Batista isn't ready since he's all dressed up. Mysterio wonders if Batista is scared to face him. Mysterio asks the WWE Universe if they think Batista is scared to face him and the audience cheers.

Batista goes crazy and tells the crowd to shut up. Batista says Mysterio has the match tonight and he'll beat him tonight. Batista says that not only will he beat Mysterio he'll make sure he doesn't walk out of the arena with the Bladewolf. Mysterio says Batista is wrong since he's going to win and he'll walk out the winner.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The fans popped as the lights go out after the wolf howl and when they come back on...THE BLADEWOLF WAS IN THE RING! Batista turns around...INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Batista up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!

Bladewolf stares down at Batista before he whipped his gaze up to Mysterio who stared back. Bladewolf, expression unknown due to the metallic mask he wore, threw his arms up and fire exploded from the stage next to Mysterio, causing him to jump and back off in surprise and maybe little bit of fear for his life.

The Bladewolf was sending a message to everyone, including the Undertaker, that he's coming for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Later

In the arena, Rey Mysterio's theme hits and out comes the Master of the 619. Mysterio does his usual entrance, hands a mask to a kid at ringside. He enters the ring and poses on the turnbuckles before he jumps down as his theme dies down.

Batista's theme hits and out comes The Animal to heavy boos from the fans who really hated Batista. Batista makes his way down the ramp and gets into the ring, his eyes on Mysterio. Batista's theme dies down.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The Devil's Wolf plays to a loud pop as the lights change to the sinister, blood red and out comes the Bladewolf. he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and gets in through the middle rope. He takes his metallic mask off, followed by his coat and hands them to someone at ringside as his theme dies down.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Batista goes for Bladewolf right away but Bladewolf lifts him up, runs and drives The Animal into the corner and drives his shoulder into Batista's stomach multiple times. Mysterio stays back, not wanting to get in between them and get torn apart in the process. Batista brings his forearms down on Bladewolf's back, but the Demon Wolf shoves his arms off then uppercuts the Animal before bringing his elbow into the side of his head, then he grabs Batista and tosses him out of the ring before whirling around to look at Mysterio.

Mysterio keeps well away as Bladewolf walks forward, throwing his fists up. Mysterio ducks a right and quickly hits a few lefts and rights before landing a kick to Bladewolf's right knee, then he rebounds off the ropes and leaps at Bladewolf only to be caught by the 10-time World Champion who runs and drives Mysterio into the corner. Bladewolf went to do more damage when Batista runs up and clobber shim from behind and tosses him out of the ring.

Batista turns his attention to Mysterio, who immediately gets out of the ring. Batista chases him but Mysterio is back in the ring first and he baseball slides him. Mysterio goes for another but Batista moves. Mysterio kicks him in the leg a few times before getting in the ring. Batista gets in and catches Mysterio, slamming him into the corner. Batista whips him hard into the opposite corner and Mysterio falls to the mat. Batista hits a backbreaker and circles Mysterio. Batista punches him in the face before picking him up and hitting an over the shoulder backbreaker. Batista is moving at a slow and methodical pace but because of this he gets taken down with a clothesline from Bladewolf. Bladewolf grabs Mysterio and sends him into the barricade. Bladewolf grabs Batista and tosses him back into the ring, sliding in after him.

Bladewolf grabs Batista from behind and hits a German Suplex. He holds onto Batista as he hits another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another and then another. He holds on more more time and finishes with a release German Suplex across the ring.

Bladewolf looking dominant here as SmackDown goes to commercial break.

*After the commercial break*

SmackDown comes back from the break to show Bladewolf stomping on Mysterio in the corner, Batista out of the ring and on the floor. Bladewolf keeps the assault on Mysterio up before he stops, grabs Mysterio by the throat and pulls him to his feet before he drives Mysterio into the corner and goes for a hard right but Mysterio ducks and unloads with lefts and rights as best as he can before backing off when Bladewolf went for a boot.

Mysterio backs off when he was suddenly clobbered from behind by Batista who then runs at Bladewolf and clothesline shim. Batista boots the 10-time World Champion in the stomach, and then starts setting him up for the Batista Bomb!

GONG!

The fans cheer at the bell toll of the Undertaker as the lights go out and when they come back on...Batista is laid out on the mat!

Bladewolf looks around, knowing it was his brother's doing, but he didn't care as he went on the attack on Batista, hammering away at him. Bladewolf flips his hair back and grabs Batista by the throat, lifts him up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Bladewolf was about to finish this off when he was dropkicked from behind...AND CAUGHT ON THE MIDDLE ROPE!

Mysterio rebounds off the ropes, dials it up...AND HITS THE 619! Mysterio starts getting up for the West Coat Pop...

GONG!

The gong hit a second time and when the lights came back on...everyone was laid out! The referee was gone! Bladewolf, Batista, and Mysterio, all three men were laid out.The GONG hits one more time and Undertaker's entrance starts. He never appears...
