Chapter 54

Aiyora never knew how irrational her heart could be until she met her father. The youngest Kuran had never felt such crippling perturbation in her lifetime up until now. Nor had she ever been in such dismay.

Her beloved father, inside her beloved half brother's body!

It felt as if the nature was joking with her. Asking her to just flip the coin and choose. But how could she? Like her cousin Kuran Yuuki— who finds it hard to choose between the one she loves and the one she wants to protect; Kuran Aiyora was also found herself stuck in a similar dilemma, where unfairly she was being asked to choose between her father and her brother.

The choice sounded simple; yet it wasn't.

Two men with very special place in her heart. But who's more favourable? Without a doubt it's her Ri-chan but that doesn't mean she loves her father any less. He maybe a monster to the eyes to of the society, and frankly Aiyora thought the same way too. But meeting him changed her ideas. People quickly judged him for his actions but no one tries to look into the pain that hides behind those mismatched eyes. Or perhaps it's only she, who is able to see them.

Which is why now Aiyora would argue that her father, Kuran Rido wasn't born a monster, he was turned into one. All because of one simple mistakes— love! A love so deep, so ferocious that it took away his sanity and cost him everything.

He, who was once the beloved crown prince of the vampire world, is known as a monster today. His tremendous contribution and hard work are all forgotten. People only remembers the worst in him. Whereas his siblings, the individuals who only dedicated their lives to building a school and work for co-existing with human are worshiped.

The intense gaze of the blue eyes clashed in a silent battle with the pair of mismatched one.

"It doesn't have to be this way Daddy. Release Ri-chan's body and I promise to resurrect you. Even if it costs me my life, I wouldn't back away, believe me."

Aiyora opted for a negotiation breaking the tensed silence.

In response Rido snickered and let out a series of hysterical laughter.

"What's so funny? I don't recall narrating jokes."

"Use you to resurrect myself...? What is my servant here for then, and that useless Kuran princess? Whether those pest exists in the face of this earth or not makes no difference. But your existence is much needed. ...Because I need you."

Aiyora's heart skipped few beats. She felt herself becoming emotional, but held herself back. As she knew it wasn't time to be vulnerable. But how can she not be emotional? Even in his vulnerable state her father was choosing for her to stay alive. The only person with power who has not wanted to sacrifice her for the sake of Kuran Yuuki.

That doesn't mean his actions are pardonable. But according to her, he did deserve a chance to correct himself.

"Daddy... please let Ri-chan go." She requested again, her tone desperate and irritated, indicating that her defence have crumbled.

"And if I don't?" His words filtered to a taunt.

"In that case you'll leave me no choice..." she pricked a finger using her sharp fangs and created a whip made out of her blood.

The blood whip charged at him and wrapped itself around his neck.

Rido watched, amused.

"This is your last chance... leave Ri-chan's body." Aiyora decided to warn him for one last time. And promised herself mentally that this was it.

The male pureblood's lips curl up to a twisted smirk as he slowly grabbed hold of the rope.

It was a situation where one wouldn't be able to guess who the predator is.

And just when Aiyora let her guard down for a mere second he gave the blood whip a sharp pull towards him and brought his daughter straight into his arms.

By the time Aiyora realized the trap she had walked into, it was too late to break free. She was already caged in his arms and getting forcefully kissed.

Without breaking the kiss Rido backed themselves against the closest tree. Lost in the bliss of the kiss one of his hand reached down to her chest and groped her breast.

Instinctively, Aiyora kicked him between the legs with all her strength. A small action with great impact. Instantly Rido landed on the ground groaning in pain.

"Midori-san taught me this trick." Aiyora said smugly, brushing the dusts off her uniform While her father continued to writher in pain.

"She assured me, it never fails as long as the opponent is of male gender. Turns out she was damn right. You know something interesting Daddy, I've been trained by a handful of people in my life so far. However the only advices and lessons I have been able to apply in real life, actually came from her."

"Sounds like you both developed quite the connection." Rido said, still laying on the ground.

"She'd beg to differ." Aiyora walked over to him and offered him a hand. "She hates me passionately."

Rido accepted her hand and just as Aiyora was about to help him up, he pulled her down and pinned her on the ground, beneath him.

"A strong stubborn heart that becomes so weak for love... how admirable." Rido purred into her ear, giving her earlobe a soft teasing bite.

Aiyora tried to struggle but the position she was in, made all efforts fruitless.

"This isn't your best..." The tip of his nose traced along the shell of her ear.

"Tell me what is holding you back, daughter?"

He asked curious.

"Is it fear? Are you afraid of hurting that boy? Or are you afraid of hurting me? ...Or could it be both? Or perhaps this is what you have always wanted— this boy's pathetic body with my soul in it." He concluded, kissing along the line of her jaw.

Aiyora froze.

"Tell me is this what you've always wanted Aiyora?"

And not just her body, her thinking is process froze as well.

"I know what I want... I want to you both to be a part of my life. I need you both." Aiyora spoke like she was under some sort of spell.

Rido slid a hand down her waist to her thigh. His fingers turned to claws upon contact with the bare skin. And those claws dug into the flesh of her outer thigh.

"To bad! You can't have both. But from now on you will have me with you... always. It's a promise."

His hand started to slide up slow and sluggishly. It wasn't long before he was under her skirt, almost reaching the hem of her underwear. But before it could reach it's desired destination another hand appeared out of nowhere and grabbed Senri's hand and yanked it back, ruthlessly.

"I remember everything now! I remember that night— Okaa-san sacrificed herself and cast a spell to seal me. Otou-san said he would protect us from the bad people and left."

With one hand Yuuki hugged herself and with another clutched her head as pain emerged from all the overwhelming emotions she was feeling.

"They were both so strong people. Yet, they're gone." Another small crack appeared on the portion of the window that was unharmed. "Why? Why did they have to go so far to keep me away from whatever it was?! And now Kaname onii-sama isn't here as well."

The glasses that were cracked all these times, shattered as the pureblood's emotion went out of control.

Seiran and Hanabusa quickly rushed to Yuuki's side to shield her. While Seiran held her, Hanabusa blocked the shattered glass from reaching Yuuki.

"I-I did that?" Yuuki touched her face in disbelief. Eyes still glowing red and wide with fear. Her body, vigorously shaking.

"I want to see... Kaname onii-sama." Yuuki declared, in shaky voice.

The three vampires shared a look amongst each other. As if to silently ask 'what do we do now?'

"Kaname-sama has asked you to remain here until he returns." Seiran told her.

"I understand... but I need to see him. Now!"

"We know he is somewhere in the academy. But don't exactly know where." Akatsuki said.

"It's best if you rest now. I'll inform him soon as he returns." Seiran said before the three vampires walked out leaving the newly awakened pureblood by herself.

After the door closed, Yuuki left the bed and unsteadily stood on her two feet. She faced the window upon sensing the unpleasant feeling; there was also the smell of fresh blood. A part of her felt relieved that it wasn't Kaname's or Zero's blood. She was glad that both of them were fine.

The heterochromic eyes clashed with the glowing crimson eyes of the Kuran ancestor.

In a matter of second Rido was thrown away to the other side. The spot where his body crashed, cracked from the impact.

"How. Dare. You?!" Kaname growled, before he quickly took off his coat and wrapped it around Aiyora as she tried to sit up.

Sitting up, Rido rolled his eyes.

"Oh here comes the hero to save the day!"

Using his powers the older Kuran attacked him again. This time Senri's form flew back and crashed against a tree before sliding down to the ground.

"Ouch that hurts Kaname! Tell me why are you here, poking your noses into places where it doesn't belong? Don't you have a fiancée to protect?"

Kaname walked over to him in quick long strides and grabbed him by the throat lifting him at least a feet off of the ground level.

"Leaving her all alone at such vulnerable time... how cruel! And to think my siblings trusted you so much... ouch!"

Rido chocked when Kaname's deathly tight grip on Senri's throat further tightened. Now it was his hand that was turning to claws.

"You do realize you can't kill me Kaname. Wait... are you utilizing this opportunity to get rid off someone else?" He suggested cunningly. "Smart move! I must admit, I'm impressed."

Aiyora's eyes went wide as she picked up on her father's hint.

"Kaname wait!" Takuma and Rima came running.

While Rima waited by Aiyora side, Takuma rushed towards the two fighting and tried to pull his friend's hand off of his roommate's throat.

"Kaname please let go! You'll end up killing Senri." Takuma gave all his strength but the ancestor didn't even budge. "LET HIM GO KANAME! YOU'RE HURTING THE WRONG PERSON! SENRI WILL DIE!"

Takuma's scream fell into deaf ears.

"Release him Kaname."

And instantly the ancestor let go, causing Rido to land on the ground again.

Rido looked up at Kaname and arched a brow, clearly amused. Takuma was putting his life on the line to pull them apart. But all that ancestor needed was his daughter's words.

Interesting! Rido thought bitterly.

"My father used to say, ripe young females are the biggest predators to roam the world. And the biggest prey, are the powerful old men. Somehow they always in up in their web. ...Its quite interesting, wouldn't you agree Kaname?"

Confused, Ichjou danced his glance between the two Kuran male. He had no idea what Kuran Rido was talking about, but understood it was a taunt meant for Kaname.

The latter to whom the taunt indicated chose to ignore and turned around on his heels. He walked back to Aiyora was about to pick her up when Rido spoke again.

"You're salivating! Just like a starved dog."

Kaname froze.

"Which part of her would you like to consume first? Is it the blood, the flesh... or something else?!"

The ancestor aborted what he was about to do, then looked over his shoulder and shot the other pureblood a death glare. However that basically had little to no effect.

And that's when Rima stepped forward.

"So... just who are you?!" She demanded in a tone that was unlike her usual self and declared keeping that same voice active.

"Whoever you are I won't standby and let you get away with it."

Yuuki sat on the floor gazing at the broken pieces of glasses that she had broken a while ago.

Her mind filled with thoughts of Zero and Kaname. With Zero, all Yuuki ever wanted to do was help him but turned out she was deceiving him the entire time. As for Kaname... he turned out to be her brother. Which means all this time she was in love with her brother...? The idea was somewhat appalling, but her feelings for Kaname were stronger than her morale. No matter who he was, Yuuki simply couldn't stop those feelings that had been built up inside her for so many years.

Then suddenly, a memory flashed into her mind:

"Yuuki, you and I, we are going to be like otou-san and okaa-san when we grow up." Kaname made the promise as they lay together on her bed.

"Do you really mean it Kaname niisama."

Now Yuuki remembers clearly, her parents used to be siblings too. Despite that familial connection they were still married and had children. Perhaps for vampires it really doesn't matter. It is one of their normal customs. Hence why Kaname made that promise. Also, it was probably why she could never stop loving Kaname, even when she was turned into a human with all memories sealed off.

But isn't it something that only the beasts do...?

Then again how am I different?

I am also a beast in human form... which is why it is okay, alright and justifiable.

Meanwhile...

Rima jumped up in the air and flew past the blood whip that came charging at her and smoothly land on a nearby tree brunch. However the whip managed to hit her on the left arm and cause a slight cut.

"Rima!" Takuma exclaimed, indirectly asking her to stop.

"WHOEVER YOU ARE, I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY THIS!" She repeated her words, this time screaming.

It was the first time all three bystanders— Kaname, Aiyora and Takuma heard her speak with so much passion.

Once again the female aristocrat jumped up in the air and threw lightening at the possessed vampire's direction.

Rido smiled and successfully dodged the attack. Those lightening streaks hit the ground behind him and dissipated. Using his blood whip he attacked Rima again, this time caused an injury to her face.

"Injuring a model's face is pretty low." She hissed lowly. "At times like this I'm glad I'm a vampire... I heal quickly."

Both the injuries on her face and arm closed up.

Rido gave no reaction, his face remained strangely calm.

"Rima, please be careful." Takuma came between them.

Kaname and Aiyora remained unmoving from their spot.

"Ichijou-san what are you—" She got cut off when the blonde started speaking to Rido.

"Please stop! You shouldn't be using Senri for this. You've already made your point."

"In time I will destroy anyone who defies the Council. Exactly as Ichio wishes me to do."

"Rido-sama!" Takuma exclaimed, shocked by how low his grandfather could sink for his greed for power.

"So annoying!" Rima on the other hand lost her patience. "Just because you're in Senri's body doesn't mean you can act all superior. Whoever you are, I'll drive you out. Now get ready."

With that said, she charged up all her powers of electricity.

"As if it would be so easy!" Rido taunted, smirking wickedly.

And before anyone of them could register the blood whip came out of nowhere and directly pierced through Rima's chest. But only by an inch missed her heart as Takuma pushed her last minute.

"Don't interfere Ichijou. I missed it because of you."

"RIDO-SAMA!" This time Takuma didn't hold back on his anger.

Rima collapsed into Takuma's arms. Kaname's face remained impassive but Aiyora had her eyes widen and mouth drop in absolute horror.

...She was going to die!

...He was planning to kill her!!

...Using Senri's body!!!

"Sen...ri... you fool! Letting someone take over your body... what are you doing?"

Tension hung in the air as Rima spoke. This was the first time someone actually called out the real owner of the body.

"YOU REALLY NEED TO LOVE YOURSELF MORE SENRI!"

Aiyora looked at Rima, surprised. Because what she witnessed in that moment was something she would never be able to un-see— It was the Rima's deep devotion and undying love for Senri.

As the reality of the situation sink in, the horror on the youngest pureblood's face was replaced with wrath.

The hue of the eyes suddenly changed and went back to Senri's usual state. It was that call that made the sleeping vampire inside give his best and fight.

The blood whip vanished and Senri clutched his head.

"Do not defy me... Senri!" Rido growled trying his best to take control.

"Ri-chan... I'm sorry." Aiyora's blue orbs slowly turned crimson.

The ground beneath Senri shook violently until it cracked open and two massive size snakes made up of blood climbed up and wrapped themselves around Senri.

"AIYORA-CHAN NO! Takuma's scream echoed into the air.

In the meantime on the other side:

"Hey Hanabusa?! ...Looks like she is trying to escape."

The blonde looked at the direction his cousin was pointing only to see that the person they were assigned to protect, jumping out of the window and making a smooth landing on the ground.

"Cross Yuuki! I mean... Kuran Yuuki-sama..." Hanabusa hesitantly corrected his mistake. "We were told by Kaname-sama to watch over you here."

"Please step aside, Aidou-senpai, Kain-senpai." Kuran Yuuki instructed and was about to walk past them when Akatsuki blocked her path.

"We cannot do that."

"Please return to your room, Yuuki—". Hanabusa tried to tell her politely but Yuuki cut her off firmly.

"Please step back!"

Aidou flinched, and automatically took a step back. Making way for the pureblood princess to pass. Yuuki walked past them and stopped half way through.

"If you both do not wish to be scolded by Kaname-senpai, then I suggest you take me to him now!"

"But we're not sure where he is." Said Akatsuki.

"Take me to his room then."

Both Hanabusa and Akatsuki facepalmed themselves in frustration. Ultimately it was decided that Aidou would follow her while Kain would go ahead and guard the sun dormitory.

"St-stop... this... Ai...yora!"

Senri was down on his knees, gasping for air and screaming. One of the snakes had wrapped itself around his throat and was chocking him. While the other bit onto his chest sucking his blood out.

"Stop... this... now!" The one speaking wasn't Senri, it was her father.

Tears continued to pour out of her eyes. Despite being fully aware of the consequences of her action, Aiyora didn't back down. Because she knew this is exactly what Ri-chan would want her to do... finish him off!

He would want her to finish him off, before the person possessing his body could carry on with more of these heinous acts. For the past couple of days everything that was done using Senri's body, were the very things the Shiki heir hated— drinking from the vulnerable mercilessly, assaulting women and more importantly trying assaulting her! Something that Senri never thought of in his worst of nightmares. And let's not forget he almost killed Rima, the girl who loves him selflessly in this world.

All these times Aiyora believed no one in this world could ever love her Ri-chan more than she did. But today, in this very moment the reality was slapped onto her face. She was proven wrong. That it wasn't her nor his mother that loved Senri the most... It was Rima!

Unfortunately, Senri couldn't match his pureblood father's strength in order to fight back. But the situation isn't same for Aiyora! Which is why she could no longer sit back in fear of hurting either of them. Something she was doing up until now.

"Aiyora-chan please stop! You'll kill Senri!"

Takuma pleaded.

"Ri-chan would gladly die than have things go on like this. By protecting my father you're only protecting Senri's body, not Senri!"

Aiyora used more of her powers and took control over the blood flowing inside Senri's body. Rido let out another painful scream as his control over the body started to slip away.

The bloody snakes wrapped around Senri's entire body started to crush him. The sound of his bones cracking was heard and Rido let out another painful scream.

"Just hold on a little longer Ri-chan." Aiyora told Senri swallowing her cries. "It'll all be okay... it wouldn't hurt anymore... I won't hurt you anymore... I promise!"

Senri let out one last scream before collapsing onto the ground. Second later Aiyora followed the path and slackened but she was caught and picked by Kaname before her body hit the ground.

Although laying unconscious and injured, but Shiki Senri was finally free from the grasp of Kuran Rido.

Kaname returned to the moon dormitory carrying the unconscious Aiyora. On route to his room he ran into Seiran, whom he instructed,

"Gather those who can be outside during the day and have them guard the sun dormitory. Make sure no day class students leave their dorm."

Seiran accepted the instructions placing a hand above her chest and left to do the assigned task.

Then, in the hallway he ran into Ruka, who was coming from the other side.

The female aristocrat stopped upon first sight of him. However soon her attention moved to the sleeping girl in his arms, wrapped with his navy blue over coat. Although Ruka was able to guess what might have had happened. But she hoped it wasn't the worst of its kind, a damage that was beyond repair.

"Kaname-sama..." She addressed him bravely.

"Ruka?" He acknowledged her too.

"By the smell of blood and the presence carried by the wind, I can presume what has occurred."

"Then why do you look so apologetic?"

"That is because I was a fool who couldn't suppress her feelings, for all these times until confronted by the truth. During those times rage and envy made me wish ill upon the person in your arms. But now I have come to understand her worth in your life and as well as mine."

She bowed her head and informed.

"I am also heading to the sun dormitory. If you need any assistance with Aiyora-sama please don't hesitate to ask. I assure you, going forward I will be as loyal to her, as I have always been to you."

As Ruka walked past him, Kaname called her.

"Ruka, forgive me." His apology was genuine because he felt like this was the least he could do.

Her hands on the sides balled to fists.

"I was dancing on my own free will. So there is no need for you to apologize, Kaname-sama."

"In that case, Ruka," The pureblood slightly turned. "I only have one thing to say, something very cruel..."

Despite keeping that straight face intact, she braced herself.

"I trust you."

Yet, somehow she didn't see it coming. But as it came, it touched her heart.

Ruka turned around and for the first time genuinely thanked him. Then left for the sun dormitory.

.

.

.

Ruka found Akatsuki outside of the sun dormitory with couple of other night class students.

"Akatsuki, what a good time."

The aforementioned male turned to the direction of the familiar voice and was surprised. He didn't expect Ruka to offer any form of help. Considering how she has been ever since the news of their president taking Cross Yuuki as his lover was made public.

"Even though dawn is approaching, can you continue to guard the sun dormitory? All day classes have been canceled. So don't let any of the residents exit the dorms."

She walked past Akatsuki and headed towards the door that led inside the dormitory. While the fiery haired man continued to watch her in shock.

"Ruka... are you alright?" It was natural for him to ask. After all he was seeing a complete different side of her. A side he could hardly recognize.

She stopped on the steps and turned.

"I want to show him just how cool and reliable I can be."

She looked up at the sky and watched the snow fall. Her mind already dreading the reality awaiting the newly awakened member of the Kuran clan.

"Besides... the one enduring the greatest hardships from this point on, will not be me."

"I told you he isn't in there."

Hanabusa spoke in a vexed tone to Yuuki, who stood outside Kaname's door.

"I want to go inside." Yuuki declared.

The aristocrat sighed irritated and tried to prevent.

"I don't think it's a good idea. Kaname-sama might get upset—" but Yuuki had already twisted the doorknob, opened the door and walked in, even before he finished his warning.

"Hey wait up Cross Yuuki!" Aidou tried to stop.

"If you don't want Kaname-senpai to be upset with you, then please don't stop me."

Facepalming himself the blonde aristocrat followed. As per Kaname's order he should be by this female's side at all times, protecting her. So...

Just as he made it halfway inside, a deep voice demanded from behind.

"What is going on here?!"

Both turned and found Kaname at the doorway, carrying an unconscious Aiyora.

"What happened?! Is Aiyora-sama alright?"

"That isn't the answer to me question, is it Aidou?"

"Please forgive me, I didn't mean to overstep my boundaries. Cross Yuuki— I mean Yuuki-sama insisted on seeing you. We told her that you were occupied but she insisted..."

"Please don't blame Aidou-senpai. It was my fault. I sort of dragged him here because I needed to see and talk to you." Yuuki defended the blonde.

"I see..." Kaname said in a somewhat disinterested voice, as he walked into his office, walked past Aidou, then Yuuki and sat down on the divan with Aiyora still intact in his arms.

"What happened to Aiyora-chan?"

"Not much. She over exerted herself physically, mentally and emotionally while saving the lives of the two men she loves. But there is no reason to needlessly worry. She will be fine. As long as I'm around, nothing will happen to her. Anyway, return to your room now Yuuki. We will speak when the time is right."

"But we need to talk... now!"

"It can wait." The sentence was thrown like decision was already made. "Aidou, please take Yuuki back to her room."

"Yes, of course." With that said the blonde turned to the newly awakened pureblood and ushered her to come along.

However, Yuuki didn't want to listen.

"Kaname-senpai it won't take long."

"I'm so sorry Yuuki, at this time I don't have a moment to spare for you."

His words, the tone of his voice and the way that sentence was delivered shocked Yuuki.

For a moment she watched him with wide eyes. And continued to watch, as her supposed lover bit into his wrist and drew his blood.

Understanding what act is about to take place Aidou jumped in. "Please, come with me."

He grabbed the petite brunette by the wrist and almost forcibly pulled her along. As Hanabusa was closing the door behind them, Yuuki turned and caught a quick glimpse of Kaname, who now had his mouth locked with the girl in his arms.

The scene made her heart drop instantly. Yuuki didn't want to think otherwise. As this was how he also fed her his blood.

"Please let's go. A sacred and intimate act is taking place behind this closed door. It would be unwise and rude to pry." Hanabusa said politely and this time Yuuki listen quietly.

"In that case can you take me somewhere else, Aidou-senpai...?"

"Where would you like to go?"

"The sun dorms. I want to see Zero and make sure he's alright."

"Very well then, follow me."

Yuuki quietly stood outside Zero's dorm room. With her hand raised, ready to knock. Yet for some reason she found herself unable to do this easy task. Her hand was practically shaking.

I thought I had prepared myself to come here... But...

The soft sound of reloading the gun reached her sharp hearing sense. And the reality was slapped onto her face when Yuuki understood that Zero was directly pointing his gun at the door.

"Coming here to talk...?" Zero's cold voice came through the door. "Did you really think that'll make a difference?! ... All these times I thought the most disgusting thing a vampire could do was turn humans into vampires. But who could have guessed you were also capable of turning yourself into human."

Yuuki closed her eyes, processing his hurtful words.

"What I sense beyond the door is just another arrogant pureblood, who does nothing but toy with human lives!"

"That's right Zero. I'm glad you understand." Yuuki finally mastered the courage to speak.

"The Yuuki you once knew no longer exists. And that's because... the vampire Yuuki completely devoured her." With that said Yuuki decided to leave. Zero had made his point clear. There was no need for a conversation.

Exiting the sun dormitory Yuuki ran past Hanabusa and Akatsuki, who just joined his cousin and headed straight into the forest.

In a state of panic Hanabusa too ran after her. Holding the pair of shoes he made Ruka fetch.

It immensely hurt and broke Yuuki's heart to speak to her dearest friend in that cold tone. However, she consoled herself with the thought— even if it hurt, perhaps it was for the best. Zero hating her is truly a blessing in disguise. Because now she won't have to constantly worry about him and can concentrate more on the man, to whom she rightfully belongs...

...Her Kaname onii-sama!

This time when Aiyora opened her eyes, the moments passed in burr:

In the first segment— Kaname was gazing down at her with worrying eyes. She vaguely remembers he asked, if she was doing alright? However she has no recollection of answering his question.

In the next segment— With no recollection of how and why she ended up there, Aiyora found herself in the bathroom, bent over the toilet seat, vomiting. Kaname was behind her, assisting by pulling back her hair to keep them out of the face.

In the third segment— she was in the bathtub... sobbing. Kaname was once again behind her, bent on his knees, holding her down tightly in place. So that she doesn't intentionally drown herself. Again, Aiyora couldn't recall why and how she got into that position.

It was a vulnerable and crucial moment that she had woken up to. In those moments Kaname handled her all by himself. He even went as far as to strip her out of the wet clothing and covered her up with a dry towel. And throughout that entire process his eyes strictly remained locked onto her face. Not even for once or mistakenly his gaze faltered to any other part of her body.

At one point she felt him carry her back to the bedroom and sat her down on the bed.

Her senses fully returned to the blasting sound of hair dryer. Taking a quick glance of her surrounding Aiyora understood that she was in Kaname's bed and he was the one drying her hair.

Kaname switched off the dryer and ruffled her hair to check if it had completely dried.

"There you go, now you can lay down and rest." He said slowly pushing her down on the bed. "I'll get Seiran to fetch some clothes for you."

"Is Senri still alive?" The first coherent sentence to leave her mouth after she awakened.

"He is."

"And where is daddy?"

"My guess would be he is wondering around in search of new body to take over."

"...And Yuuki?"

"I have turned her, she is one of us now. Anyway, get some rest and allow your body to recuperate. After all you've used a lot of your powers at once." He said lovingly caressing the side of her face.

As he was about to leave when a smaller hand caught his shirt and stopped him.

"Where are you going?" Aiyora asked timidly.

"To the bathroom, I have to change." He said pointing at his shirt that was drenched at the front.

"I meant where would you be going afterwards?" She let go of his shirt.

"To pay your father a visit. I intend to revive him with my blood, so that he has no need to take over another person's body."

"May I come with you then...?" She asked in a voice that sounded barely above whisper.

The expression on the older pureblood's face fell. He took a moment to think before responding. Despite his surprise, he didn't want to deny Aiyora the chance to see her father. After all this will certainly be the last time she sees him.

"You may... but under one condition," he replied walking towards the bathroom. "...you must stay close to me at all times when we are in that room."

"Condition accepted."

"Very well then..." he said before stepping into the bathroom.

A/N: Thank you all for reading. Hope you guys enjoyed. If you all confused as to why it took Aiyora so long to matter into her hands, it's because of the deep feelings she harbours for her father. The feeling that Haruka had to erase so she doesn't attract danger. So basically that love never disappeared and eventually coming back.

Also, have noticed any similar characteristics between Rido and Aiyora?

...

Reply to guestwithreviews: Yes, it got pretty messy. To be honest if Aiyora didn't get herself involved in a situation like that, then Kaname probably would have stayed and could have had a proper talk with Yuuki, which would have cleared up the confusion (as in coming clean about his feelings). So now Aiyora has her own issues to deal with and Kaname is following after her and sadly Yuuki is left to pick up the pieces on her own. And she sort of did— at least she figured out the custom of intermarriage on her own. And I decided to go along that path because, if she got her memories back then she'll remember the Kaname promisingly her "we will be like mother and father when we grow up" plus I'm sure the little Yuuki also knew her parents were siblings. Also her mother would always tease her about how much she loves her brother.

Like you guessed it should be for an eye opener for Yuuki as this is basically projecting how things would be for her going forward.

As for Aiyora, you I'm sure you noticed the confusion she found herself in. Her choice should have been easy, yet it wasn't. Her love for her father is deep. Plus she was taken aback to see that he prefers her over Yuuki. It touched her heart and made the decision making process more difficult. However when Rima almost got killed Aiyora knew its to get her hands dirty.

I'm hoping there will be another sober moment between the daddy-daughter before the anime arc ends.

As you pointed— people have their reasons for not considering Senri as a viable love interest for Aiyora.

Rido, Kaname and Rima have similar reasons. Sara and Shizuka spoke from their personal experience. To some extent Senri's mother is also the same, she doesn't want her son's life to be destroyed by a pureblood, like it happened to her.
