It was daytime in a Mobius city, and the Grand Egg Imperial was flying over a city. Eggman laughed into a microphone.
"Attention! I have an important announcement that I'm sure you'll hate." he said. "Your favorite fiend has returned! Your king of calamity, the awesome Dr. Eggman! I am delighted to inform you that this planet will soon be under my power! It is pointless to try and resist me! Surrender immediately, or you will all be destroyed!" he said and laughed sending the animals into a panic.
Bocoe was reading a book, and Decoe and Bokkun were playing chess.
"If Sonic was back in this world, we would have seen him by now." Decoe said.
"We're wastin' our time! He must have decided he liked that other planet better!" Bocoe said.
"I'm positive Sonic followed me here. He would never let his arch enemy get away." Eggman said.
'And will do anything to get back to his family.' he thought mentally smirking.
Bocoe turned the page.
"I am not sure, Doctor. Perhaps Sonic got bored fighting with you." he said.
"Working with him is even worse." Decoe said.
"Let's just get this over with!" Bokkun shouted out.
"Now hear this!" Eggman said and turned up the volume, and his voice blast through the city. "This is your last warning! Submit to my rule or I'll wipe up this whole world! You hear that, Sonic? Sonic!"
That night, Amy was visiting Cream and Vanilla. Vanilla poured tea for Amy.
Amy sipped the tea.
"Ah, just the way I like it." she said.
"We're really happy you stopped by to visit us, Amy." Cream said.
"Chao chao!" Cheese said.
"So have you thought about that offer we made the other day? Would you like to come live here?" Vanilla asked.
Amy closed her eyes in happiness.
"Thanks for the invitation, but I... can't accept." she said.
"We want you to stay here with us! We really care about you!" Cream said surprised.
"Please, Cream..." Vanilla said.
"I know. ... I'm really glad I have a friend like you. But you don't have to worry about me. It's been lonely without Sonic around, but... I know... he'll come back..." Amy said.
"I'm back, and badder than ever!" Eggman said.
Amy was startled, then angry. The Grand Egg Imperial was flying nearby.
"I've come to publicize my dastardly designs for building the Eggman Empire! I'm all set to spread misery and mayhem around the globe!" he said and the Grand Egg Imperial. "You'd better quit your foot-dragging and race to the rescue, Sonic! Otherwise, this world will have to face the music!" he said as a disco ball lowered, and he started dancing. "Hah!"
"How embarrassing." Bocoe said.
"What dance is that?" Bokkun asked.
"I think it is called the "jerk"." Decoe said.
Suddenly the ship shook from a sudden impact, knocking everyone over.
"What was that?" Bocoe said.
"I think something hit us!" Decoe said.
It was Amy's Piko Piko Hammer embedded in the hull of the ship.
"Hey! Who is the wise guy that hammered our home?!" Bocoe asked.
"There's something about that hammer that looks awfully familiar." Eggman said. "But I know it isn't Sonic's guitar. I would have been hit by a laser or something like that."
Outside Cream's house Amy was standing outside the house, staring down the Grand Egg Imperial.
"Amy! Why did you hit us?! We were not bothering you!" Decoe said.
"Don't you have any idea what time it is?! Turn down that volume or I'll knock that flying loudspeaker out of the sky!" Amy saidfurious.
On the Grand Egg Imperial.
"Just because your boyfriend's not here; don't take it out on me!" Eggman said angry.
Back outside Cream's house.
"That is right!" Decoe said.
"You should not blame Dr. Eggman!" Bocoe said.
"It's certainly not my fault he hasn't shown up yet." Eggman said.
"I bet the reason Sonic stayed back on that other planet was 'cause he couldn't stand to be with you anymore!" Amy said.
A fiery aura surrounded her, indicating fierce anger. Cream and Vanilla slammed the door and shut the window. They know better than to mess with an angry Amy.
"Amy's a hothead, but now she's hot all over!" Cream said.
On the Grand Egg Imperial Decoe, Bocoe, and Bokkun were huddled together in fear.
"Talk about fired up!" Decoe said.
"She'll cook our goose!" Bocoe said.
"Perhaps we shoud say we are sorry."
"She's the one who's gonna be sorry if she messes with me!" Eggman said. "You'd better cool off, cupcake. We've got your hammer up here, so you can't touch us!" he said to her.
Back outside Cream's house. Amy instantly summons a second hammer to prove to him wrong.
"Aah! Another one!" Decoe and Bocoe said.
"She has more hammers than a hardware store!" Bokkun said.
Back on the Grand Egg Imperial.
"Don't strike me just because you're struck up with Sonic!" Eggman said.
At a nearby cliff Knuckles and Rouge watched the argument and saw Amy swung her hammer.
'Where is?' Knuckles thought worried about Sonic. 'There's no way he would stay there.'
"Where's your boyfriend?!" Eggman said.
"Don't tease her. She's mad enough already!" Bokkun said.
"That's because Sonic dumped her!" Decoe said.
"I was not... dumped!" Amy said.
"Oh yeah? Then how come Sonic's hiding from you on another planet?" Eggman asked.
Amy shuts them up by hurling her hammer at the ship, further damaging it.
"Amy's not too happy." Knuckles said.
"She's been like that since we came back." Rouge said.
"I know why. She misses having Sonic around to hang out with."
"Yeah... This planet can get pretty lonely. I wonder why Sonic still hasn't shown up yet. What do you think?"
"Who knows. Sonic's unpredictable." he said smug.
"I'm sure he's on his way. Unless he hit a time warp during the transfet to this world. If that happened, he may not get here for weeks or months, even years."
"He'll think of something. If he wants to get back home he'd do anything." he muttered.
Meanwhile, Tails was flying the Tornado 2. Having heard Eggman, Tails had no time to remove his sleeping mask and nightcap. He piloted the plane toward the Grand Egg Imperial.
"I'm grouchy when I don't get my sleep. I'll teach ya not to wake me up, Eggman!" he said.
On the Grand Egg Imperial.
"I won't rest until I track down Sonic, and nobody else will either." Eggman said.
Outside.
"So if you want to get back to sleep, then help me find that hedgehog!" he said. "Neither of the other two hedgehogs can beat me."
Tails ripped off his sleeping outfit.
"I'm never helping you!" he said.
On the Grand Egg Imperial.
"He's challenging us!" Bokkun said.
"Shall we charge up the cannons, Doctor? We can blast him out of the sky!" Decoe said.
"Good idea." Eggman said.
Outside a barrage of Piko Piko Hammers slammed into the hull.
"Hold on! We're not ready to fight you yet. Let's lead him into a trap. Follow me, Tails!" Eggman said.
"Okay!" Tails said then the Grand Egg Imperial flew away and the Tornado 2 followed. "But don't try anything funny!"
"Who, me?"
Outside Cream's house Amy had yet another hammer at the ready.
"Come back here! I'm not finished with you, Eggman!" she said and lowered her hammer.
Cream and Cheese opened the door and tried to ease the tension.
"Why don't you come back inside, Amy? Your tea's getting cold." Cream said.
"Chao-chao-chao." Cheese said.
The Grand Egg Imperial flew over a forest.
In the Grand Egg Imperial.
"We'll hide from him behind these clouds." Eggman said. "Then we can ambush that pest!" he shouted out but Tails opened fire anyway. "Tails didn't even wait for us to double-cross him."
"That twerp is already one step ahead of you." Decoe said and Eggman stood up.
"All right! I'll just have to up the ante by triple-crossing him!" he said.
"Oh Doctor, he is coming at us again!" Bocoe said.
Outside.
"Fire!" Eggman said.
The Grand Egg Imperial opened fire with a hail of lasers upon the Tornado 2, but it skillfully dodged.
"Guess he's got me. I'd better get outta here, fast!" Tails said then pulled a lever, and a canopy surrounded him. "Hey, what's goin' on?"
Suddenly, the familiar voice of Tails' old friend Chuck comes over the speaker.
"Tails, this is Chuck. Since you just pulled the transformation lever, I assume you're in danger right now. Don't worry; this shield is made of a special material that can withstand almost any assault." Chuck said over the speaker and saw him tinkering with the Tornado 2 is shown. "When I heard you were leaving, I decided to give you a secret gift. I made sure you were away from the lab and made some modifications to the X-Tornado. I'm not as clever an engineer as you, but I don't think I did too badly for an old-timer. Anyway, I did my best, and I hope your gift comes in handy."
"Thanks, Chuck..."
"X-Tornado, transform!" Chuck said over speaker and the Tornado 2 changed into the Hyper Tornado, which looked similar to the X-Tornado. "Now it's the Hyper Tornado. Good luck, Tails!"
The Hyper Tornado soared toward the Grand Egg Imperial.
"Eggman, look out!" Tails said.
On the Grand Egg Imperial.
"What is that?" Eggman said.
"Tails transformed his plane!" Bocoe said.
"It looks completely different now." Decoe said.
"And more dangerous." Bokkun said.
Tails opened fire with just about every weapon he had upon Eggman's ship.
"Missiles awaaay! Fire plasma blast!" he said.
The Grand Egg Imperial was targeted with a giant laser, a swarm of missiles, and a large fireball.
On the Grand Egg Imperial Tails' weapons did zero damage.
"You've wasted your time, little pest. Because in a few moments, your plane will be history!" Eggman said and laughed.
"We have the perfect weapon to take him down, Doctor." Ecoe said.
"I'll turn the tables on Tails. Let's do a little fox hunting with our brand new interceptor missile!"
Decoe saluted.
"Roger!" he said.
Outside.
"All systems are go. Begin missile launch sequence now!" Decoe said and a large missile was launched at the Hyper Tornado.
"It's comin' quick, but I can trick it!" Tails said and attempted to dodge it, but the interceptor missile was still on his tail. "If I can't outsmart that thing, I'll outmaneuver it!" he said and dove toward the Grand Egg Imperial. "Here goes!"
He sped toward the bridge.
"So long." he said and pulled up at the last possible second.
However, the missile was still chasing him, much to his shock.
On the Grand Egg Imperial.
Eggman laughed.
"I finally invented the perfect weapon. No matter how hard you try, you won't shake that missile from your tail, Tails." he said.
"This missile is only programmed to attack your plane." Bocoe said.
Bokkun giggled.
"It has a personal touch." he said.
Decoe and Bocoe applauded their master.
"You have really outdone yourself, Doctor." Bocoe said.
"You deserve credit for creative cruelty!" Decoe said.
Eggman rubbed head.
Outside the missile gained on Tails.
"It's no use! I can't get away!" Tails said.
On the Grand Egg Imperial.
"I think Tails has learned his lesson. You can go ahead and recall the missile." Eggman said.
Decoe hesitated.
"But how, Doctor?" he asked.
"Just hit the recall button.
Decoe started sweating.
"There is no recall button."
Eggman cupped his hand to his ear.
"You didn't install one?! Thanks to you, Tails really is going to be destroyed! With Sonic gone, I can't afford to lose another enemy!" he said.
"Sorry, Doctor." Decoe said.
"There is nothing we can do to save him now." Bocoe said.
Outside the missile was closing in.
"This is it..." Tails said anguished.
Suddenly, a bright light came from the moon. Tails worked up the courage to look up as the light became brighter. Suddenly, Super Sonic appeared. Tails burst into tears of happiness as he saw his old friend.
He blazed through the missile, destroying it. Then he landed on the hull of the Grand Egg Imperial. The villains could only stare as their old adversary has returned.
"Hi, Eggman. What's up?" Super Sonic said smirking.
Eggman's look of shock changed into a grin.
"You're finally here." he said.
"You won't be conquering this world, either."
"That's what you think, super sap! If you dare to interfere with my plans, I'll squash you like a bug!"
But Super Sonic quickly destroyed the entire Grand Egg Imperial, which immediately exploded. Eggman and his hench-bots escaped in the Eggmobile.
They disappear in a twinkle and Super Sonic took off.
But Super Sonic was gone.
"Boy... it's good to have my buddy back." Tails said happy.
With Eggman.
"Aww, I can't believe it! Sonic beat us without even breakin' a sweat!" Bokkun said.
"Why did he have to come back?" Decoe asked.
"We'll never take over this world with Sonic hanging around." Bocoe said.
"Excuse me, Doctor, but why do you have a smile on your face?"
"You should be miserable. Sonic totally destroyed us!" Bokkun said.
"It's not whether you win or lose. It's how you plot your revenge." Eggman said. "I should have known he wasn't gone. After fighting him since he was about twelve he's been fighting me. Since the day those three were born I've been after them and they won. Sonic left and went after me and still wins. Even when I bring up his family he still wins."
"We'll get even with him!" Bokkun said and they laughed.
On the cliff Knuckles looked up to see Super Sonic flying through the sky and got up.
"That's him!" he said smiling.
"Well, waddaya know. I guess neither of us knows very much about how those time warps work." she said.
Meanwhile Cream and Cheese were at home fast asleep. Amy stared worriedly out the window. She looked up to see Super Sonic flying through the sky, and immediately ran outside. Inside the house was a picture of Amy and Sonic hugging. Amy immediately started running.
She kept running and running and running. Soon it was sunrise. She ran all the way back to her house, where she saw Sonic standing there no longer Super Sonic. Amy was out of breath from running.
Sonic waved.
"Hi!" he said.
"Well? What took you so long? I was worried. I wondered... if you were ever going to come back." she said mad and teared up. "It scared me to think that... I was never gonna see you again."
Sonic smiled nonetheless.
"Day after day I waited for you to come, but you never did. I didn't know where you were. I couldn't stand not knowing." she said with tears flowing. "I told myself... I should give up hoping. I was convinced that you'd forgotten all about me... I thought you were gone forever." she said and sniffled. "But then I realized... that you would never abandon me, and I decided... that I would wait for you. Even if it took the rest of my life to see you again. ... Now you're here." she said and broke down. "I'm so glad to have you finally back, Sonic! It's such a wonderful feeling! ... I don't think I've ever been as happy as I am right now." she said bawling now. "Don't you ever leave me again, Sonic the Hedgehog!"
"Don't you worry, Amy. I never will." he said and offered her a rose.
He stood there thinking about the time Sonia cried seeing him hurt after a hard fight and saving them.
Amy leapt upon him and hugged him as the sun rises.
Six years have passed on Earth and Chris was now eighteen years old, and working on a portal in a large workshop. Then a wheelchair pulled up behind her.
"Chris. It's time." Helen said and Chris looked up from his code.
"Oh, yeah." he said and leapt up out of his chair. "That's right. We're supposed to meet Danny and Frances for lunch today. Let's go!"
"Whoa, easy, Chris! I know you're always late."
Chris pushed Helen's wheelchair out of the Thorndyke Science and Technology building. Soon, they were driving away in a red car and Helen was driving.
"Why don't you let me drive for a change?" Chris asked.
"No way. Chuck designed this car especially for me, remember? And besides, riding while you drive is too... nerve-wracking." Helen said.
"What does that mean?"
"I'm a much better driver, and never even got a parking ticket, which is more than I can say for you."
"It's not my fault somebody turned that one-way sign around."
Soon, Chris, Helen, Danny, and Frances were gathered in a cafe.
"So, who's gonna test out your machine, Chris?" Frances asked.
"Why don't you send me, Chris? I'm not afraid to be the first one to give it a try." Danny said.
"It's not ready yet. My machine's totally useless until I can figure out how to cause Chaos Control." Chris said.
"But as soon as he does, we'll all be able to go to Sonic's world together." Helen said.
"Sounds dangerous to me." Frances said.
"Yeah, if Chris messes it up, we could all be toast." Danny said.
"Well, you don't have to come with me then." Chris said and the others laughed.
"Hard to believe it's been six years already."
Helen nodded.
"It went fast." she said.
"Yeah, almost at Sonic speed." Frances said.
"Sonic..." Chris said to himself.
Six years ago.
A Chaos Emerald was shown.
"You collected the Chaos Emeralds." Chris said as the seven Chaos Emeralds started orbiting Sonic on that night Chris' parents found him. "Now I see. You don't need the machine that Tails and Grandpa built. You can cause Chaos Control yourself." he said as a tear ran down his cheek. "You were able to gather 'em all in a flash... because you're so fast. Even though I've been tough to deal with lately, you never gave up on me, Sonic. Thank you."
"Chris!" Super Sonic said and Chris looked up as Sonic picked him up. "I'm gonna go really fast. Hang on!"
Chris' eyes widened.
There was a flashback of Chris persuading Shadow to listen to Maria, followed by his being pushed backward and fainting. Also, Super Shadow cast off his limiters, and Sonic gave them to Chris. Another flashback showed Chris trapped inside the E-99 Eggsterminator He broke free and yanked out the Chaos Emeralds from their sockets. Later, his healing and encounter with Super Sonic were shown. Sonic continued to carry Chris at the speed of sound. Yet another flashback showed Chris' rescue and first meeting with Sonic. Even Super Sonic was crying now. As the world went dark, the tears were the last thing on the screen before it was completely black.
"Soniiiic!" Chris said.
At Mobotropolis Aleena, Sonia and Manic were in the throne room as usual when Oracle appeared.
"Your highnesses." he said.
"Oracle!" Aleena said. "Is he done? Can he come home?"
"I'm sorry your highness but not yet. But the two worlds are now back appart and Sonic is back home. Chris had stopped him from leaving but he talked him into letting him get home as they ran away going places. He had hidden something from them all other than what he truly is. He could use the seven Chaos Emeralds together to get home but didn't."
"Huh?" they said together.
He waved his hand to show them what happened at the end.
"You collected the Chaos Emeralds." Chris said as the seven Chaos Emeralds started orbiting Sonic on that night Chris' parents found him. "Now I see. You don't need the machine that Tails and Grandpa built. You can cause Chaos Control yourself." he said as a tear ran down his cheek. "You were able to gather 'em all in a flash... because you're so fast. Even though I've been tough to deal with lately, you never gave up on me, Sonic. Thank you."
They sat there in shock.
"This whole time he could have done that but did that for the boy." Sonia said.
He nodded.
"Yes. But the big brother in him had taken over after finding Tails. Probably Cream and Amy to. He knew Knuckles can take care of himself after being who and what he is. He wanted to wait until they found a way to get those three home. Then he would be able to call the seven Chaos Emeralds and get home himself." he said. "While he was gone Tails had some Robotnik fighting to do with Amy and Cream's help. Knuckles and Rouge were watching around a hill with Knuckles looking around a bit." he said and chuckled.
Then he noticed Sonia's looked and smiled.
"Don't worry, he's still in love with you and even still calls you his girlfriend."
That got Manic to start laughing and Aleena to smiled while Sonia turned a little red but smiled.
"Come on sis, why would Knuckles do something like that to you?" Manic said.
Aleena shook her head still smiling.
She already knew Sonia had found a mate in the future and was fine with that. She trusts Knuckles to look after and help her children just fine.
But she trusted Sonic the most with them. After being raised by Chuck and a Freedom Fighter his whole life he knew what can happen and what Robotnik can do.
She wasn't sure what was going to happen to him after this. She knew Amy was more of a sister to him and personally wasn't a huge fan of them together either.
"He also has been using his guitar from time to time for a fight." he said and they smiled.
"Finally!" Manic said.
"I know. It may feel weird using it again but he still should use it to help." Sonia said.
"That's about it for now. I will keep you posted from time to time."
They nodded and he left.
They didn't know how much longer it was going to take for Sonic to defeat Robotnik for good but hoped it was soon.
