Luz walked back through the portal, followed by her family.
"This is the castle, where I rule the Isles." Luz said.
Camila looked around in wonder. Her daughter has been here for the past fifteen years? Luz looked at Amity.
"Take Edalyn to another area of the castle." Luz said.
Amity nodded and grabbed Edalyn's hand. They left the room and Luz looked at her mom. She's given her mom the main gist of what happened, but there was still much she had to explain.
"Where do I start?" Luz asked.
"Well, you explained Eda and you leading a Rebellion." Camila said, "How about you tell me more about this war?"
"Right... the war." Luz looked away, "Mom, I want you to understand... I was in a dark place during the war. I would smoke, drink, and get joy out of killing."
Camila watched her daughter's movement. She looks... ashamed. She looks like the thing that once brought her joy... now makes her uncomfortable. The fact that she is telling her mom, must make it much harder. Camila placed a hand on Luz's shoulder.
"Don't feel ashamed, you did what you had to do in order to survive."
Camila cupped Luz's face and ran a thumb over the scar on Luz's cheek. Luz let out a breath and decided to kill two birds with one stone. Her mother had to find out about her magic eventually. Luz made a large spell circle and it showed Camila Luz leading an army against the Emperor's Coven. Camila was surprised by her daughter's ability to do magic, but she was more surprised by Luz in the circle. She really hasn't aged much in the past decade. She watched the way her daughter moved, lead, and... killed. This wasn't her young daughter that left, this Luz... this Luz was a leader. This Luz wasn't afraid to fight for others, this Luz wasn't willing to lay down and let someone get hurt, this Luz... was grown up. Luz destroyed the spell and looked at her mom.
"You've grown up so much." Camila said, hugging Luz, "I'm so proud of you."
A guard came up to Luz.
"I'm sorry for interrupting, Emperor Luz, But Amelia is here for your meeting."
"Damn, I forgot about that." Luz said.
"Who is Amelia?"
"She was a member of my elite squad during the war. Now she's one of my most respected Coven Members." Luz said, "Why don't you come with me? I'll explain more on the way."
"I look forward to seeing you work." Camila said.
"By the way..." Luz looked around and whispered to her mother, "Don't talk about her leg."
"Why?"
"She was hurt in the war... just don't bring it up." Luz said.
Later that night, Luz laid in bed, thinking about the day. Her birthday. So much happened in a small amount of time.
"Hey, Luz, do you not know how a threesome works?" Boscha asked, "We kind of need three people to do one."
"Boscha, leave her alone. She's had a busy day." Amity said.
Boscha and Amity went back to kissing and Luz looked at the ceiling.
"Fuck it."
Luz pulled off her shirt and moved over to join Boscha and Amity. After everything that has happened the last fifteen years, losing Eda, destroying the portal, starting and fighting a war, becoming a mother, returning home... everything. She's done so much and it finally end on her birthday... the day that became the worst day of her life, has become the best day of her life.
'Not bad for a loser.' Luz thought.
Okay, I have about sixteen days until I plan on releasing the first chapter of my next big story. Personally, I want to start working on my Reverse AU, but I want to know what story you want to see next. Next on the list, is to finish Luz Belos and then Vampyrism.
