Dark Kingdom 55
"That's a joke, isn't it?" Usagi's
voice shook.
"No, I'm really serious."
Her heart stopped again, only for a moment, but noticeably slower and almost painful, it started again. Every single blow gave her a sting and a foul tasting metallic film spread in her mouth.
"But I'm with Mamoru." , she whispered.
"Does he know that you are here?", Diamond could be seen that he was enjoying this conversation. The game he was playing with her seemed to give him unimaginable power.
"I suppose you won't tell him about this visit here.", He continued smiling, waving his red wine glass back and forth decadently. "So this little incident is of no further concern."
"But ...", Usagi could no longer look him in the eyes, instead fixed an invisible point on the floor in front of her.
"She's a very good friend, isn't she?"
Usagi replied without looking up: "My best."
As Diamond walked slowly towards her, she heard the faint echo of his steps.
"Sometimes you do extreme things for those you love."
A kiss.
A light touch of the lips.
What was there already? It didn't mean anything, it might have been a hug. And if you didn't feel anything about it, it would be as if nothing had ever happened.
Mamoru would never know. He was too busy to bother about something like this lapalie anyway.
"It's just a kiss," she repeated her thoughts out loud. She raised her head and saw Diamond right in front of her.
He nodded: "I will not try anymore, I promise."
Could she trust him?
What a stupid question. She didn't seriously expect a yakuza boss to keep his promises.
"If you touch me, I'll scream.", she threatened him. If he didn't throw her to the ground and cover her mouth beforehand. Usagi tried to shake off her negative thoughts.
"I know that."He grinned crookedly.
Ok, apparently that wasn't quite as serious for him as it was for her. He probably just wanted to see how far it went. Would she shrink back in fear. But she wasn't going to do him the favor. She was strong. Strong, independent and confident.
"How long?" , she asked challengingly.
"That's up to you."
Damn it, how could he stay so calm while she herself felt like the ground was breaking under her feet?
"So is it enough on the cheek?"
"I prefer the lips."
Usagi swallowed, took a small step towards him.
"I will think of Mamoru.", She clenched her hands into fists to suppress the trembling.
"But not too intense." ,The opposite winked with a grin.
She took a deep breath. A few hours ago she had kissed Mamoru, let himself be touched and carried away by him. Her skin still smelled of him and the thought that his aroma would now mix with Diamond's made her stomach contract painfully.
"You won't tell anyone about it."
He just shouldn't know. She didn't know if that would hurt him, but it had consequences, she knew that.
"It remains my little intimate secret.", answered Diamond.
"Close your eyes.", she ordered and he did as he was told.
That was the last chance. She could have escaped. Just be able to turn around and leave. But what would have become of Naru then? Then who helped her?
Just a kiss. And only very briefly. Five seconds should be enough. She would count. Every single second. And she would only think of Mamoru. On his soft lips, on his hot breath.
With her eyes closed, she leaned forward.
One.
She touched his lips.
Two.
He gently grabbed her neck.
Three.
She opened her mouth with a sigh.
Four.
She felt his soft tongue slowly penetrating her.
Five.
Her legs softened and she leaned against his chest.
Six.
Her mind raced, her bowels seemed to rotate.
Seven.
He broke away from her.
"That should be enough." ,Diamond whispered, his fingertips gently brushing the back of her neck.
A pleasant shiver came over Usagi. It took a few seconds before she could collect herself again. Seven Seconds. Seven.
Two too many. What was the matter with her? Why hadn't she broken off as she had planned?
That kiss. He was so completely different. Gentle and loving. She would never have given Diamond such tenderness.
He frowned at her before turning away from her and looking at his half-full wine glass. Had he been able to read her mind?
"Some time ago, Sapphire bought an hour hotel. It is actually designed for young couples who have nowhere to go anywhere to themselves. But some rooms are rented out permanently."
"You don't seem to like it." , Usagi combined. Her lips were still tingling, but she forced herself not to run her fingers over them.
"Of course I don't like it when he abuses young girls." , came the reply. "Especially if they are still underage."
"Then why don't you mind?" She was stunned at how calmly he could talk about it.
Diamond laughed dryly after emptying his glass in one gulp.
"Because I promised him. Sapphire is two years older than me. After the death of our father, he would normally have been given the privilege of inheritance. But our family thought I was more mature.
So I gave him my word that I would keep out of his business. Which was probably a mistake. "
"Even though he harms others?"
"You are asking this question to a yakuza?" , asked Diamond with raised eyebrows.
Well, that might not have been very clever. But at least she hadn't come to know Diamond as cold and calculating as his brother.
"The Japanese mafia used to be respected. It was considered the fourth power in the country.", he explained, filling his glass again. He drank quite a lot. "But this new generation doesn't want to know anything about traditions and laws. Today it's all about earning as much money as possible."
"You're not exactly poor either." Usagi pointedly pointed into the large room.
"That's right. But I've had to work hard for this luxurious lifestyle. It's not a hundred percent legal either, but without harming the innocent. There is no organized crime without order and rules."
"Regulate?"
Diamond fixed her: "We act inconspicuously. We don't threaten with weapons and we don't violate any ethical principles."
"No kids.", he added after seeing the questioning expression on her face. "Or minors."
"Those are good laws.", interjected Usagi. She was thirsty. Her mouth seemed completely dried out and seeing her counterpart constantly waving his glass didn't help her very much.
"But hardly anyone sticks to it anymore because they found out that it can make a lot of money."
"You won't help me?" , she concluded carefully.
Diamond sighed almost theatrically.
"Blood is thicker than water. No matter how diluted the blood is. And how sweet the water."
He smiled at these words.
"So you set me up."
"Sapphire always spends his evenings in a club called "Paradise". A well-known shop in the heart of Shibuya." He held a small matchbox in front of her nose with a black apple printed on it. "I can't go with you, but I can at least tell you that you shouldn't go there alone."
"Thank you." Usagi stuttered.
"Thank you." His smile made her more than just uncomfortable.
