Ch55

Magnus had to show them to tell them where the camp was and once they reached the border they were let out. He said goodbye to Skirnir, Samirah, Hearth, and Blitz who said that they would keep in touch.

He nodded as they ran into the camp and to the Big House where they found Chiron and Rachel sitting in front of the Oracle of Delphi. There was a bunch of green smoke around Rachel and the oracle as they stared in front of each other.

"Chiron what is happening?" Annabeth asked.

"She is going to be selected," Chiron said with a worried look.

"But does she know what she is doing?" Percy said in a worried tone. "Is the curse even released? She could get cursed!" Percy then turned to Rachel, "Rachel don't do this."

Rachel turned to them and smiled, "Its ok Percy, I need to do this."

"Its true," said a voice next to them. They turned and saw Apollo appear before them. Apollo turned to Rachel, "Rachel Elizabeth Dare. You have the gift of prophecy but it is also a curse do you want this."

Rachel nodded, "It is my destiny."

"Do you accept the risks?" Apollo asked.

"I do," Rachel said firmly.

"Then proceed with the oath," Apollo said.

Rachel closed her eyes. "I accept this role. I pledge myself to Apollo, God of Oracles. I open my eyes to the future and embrace the past. I accept the spirit of Delphi, Voice of the Gods, Speaker of Riddles, Seer of Fates."

They all stared in shock as the green mist around her thickened. A green column of smoke left the old mummified oracle and entered Rachel as the Oracle's mummy crumbled away. For a moment they couldn't see her at all then the smoke disappeared and the smoke cleared and Rachel collapsed on the ground.

They all attempted to run to her but Apollo stopped them. "Stop! This is the most delicate part," he said. "The spirit either takes hold or it doesn't."

"And if it doesn't?" He asked.

A dark look spread across Apollo's face, "That would be real bad."

Rachel groaned and got up. "Dang the voices are a little disorienting," she said as she got up.

He and Rachel went up to her and helped her up. "Are you ok?" Percy asked.

"Yeah I- uh oh," Rachel said as her eyes turned green.

"Its starting," Apollo announced.

Rachel spoke but her voice sounded tripled like three Rachels were talking at once.

Seven half bloods shall answer the call.

To storm or fire, the world must fall.

An oath to keep with a final breath

And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.

Rachel then collapsed as they caught her. "What was that?" He asked.

"I believe that was the next Great Prophecy," Apollo said with a smile. "Well I think she will make a wonderful oracle."

They then moved Rachel to a bed where Apollo insisted that she rest. After a while Rachel woke up and smiled at him and Magnus. She got up and hugged them both and to his surprise she kissed both of their cheeks "Goodbye Magnus and Goodbye Percy. I don't have to see the future to tell you both what to do now right?"

They both shook their heads, "No," Percy said with a sigh.

"Good," she said as she turned and followed Apollo to the Big House.

Later that day while Percy was talking with his mom and Paul Annabeth came into the cabin, "Hey can I talk to you Magnus?" She asked with a sigh.

"Sure what is it?" He asked

Annabeth went up to him and hugged him, "A-Annabeth what's wrong?" He asked in surprise as she started to cry.

"Magnus forgive me for what I said and did," She sobbed. " I let my emotions and anger get the best of me again."

He looked at her and hugged her back, "It ok Annabeth I forgive you," he said softly

Annabeth looked up at him, her face was red and she looked as if she were about to cry, "I'm sorry for everything Magnus. You have always protected me and I just treated you with contempt and jealousy."

He felt a pang in his heart, "I will always protect you Annabeth."

She smiled at him, "I know and I will always protect you. Forgive me for all the times I got jealous at you for being close to Percy."

He was a bit surprised by this. "You were jealous that I was his friend?"

She nodded slowly and gulped, "Yes. As much as I hate to admit it yes." She sighed as she looked at him.

He was shocked, she was jealous of him and Percy? "But why?" He asked.

Annabeth looked away, "I just wished he would treat me the way he treats you. You and him were always together and it just made me so jealous. I always wished he would treat me the way he treats you and I just couldn't stand it, please forgive me."

He nodded, "I do, don't worry," he said with a smile.

Annabeth smiled at him, "Thank you Magnus, now about you know your father," she said awkwardly. "He isn't an Olympian right?" She asked softly

He let out a sigh, "Yeah, it's a long story but my father is a Norse God," he said in a soft tone. "Me and Percy found out together when we saved you. The Gods made us swear not to tell you, they said we would put you and the other campers at risk if they found out."

Annabeth's eyes widened as she let out a sigh, "I understand. I was so frustrated that you both were keeping secrets from me. I really am sorry Magnus."

"Its alright Annabeth. We both wanted to keep you safe," he said. "I don't know much about the Norse world but I met my dad and went to his place a bit for Percy's new sword and to learn runes."

"Runes like magic?" Annabeth asked.

"Yeah I'm still not the best at them though," he said. "I'll introduce you to my dad and some of our friends when I can."

Annabeth smiled, "Thanks, I would like that. So are you staying here?" She asked with a concerned tone.

"Of course I am. This place is my home," he said with a smile. "Besides, from what I know the Norse don't have a camp for their living children."

"Of course it is Magnus," Annabeth said as she hugged him again. "I am glad you are here with me."

"Thanks," he said as Annabeth looked up at him and smiled at him. "I still can't tell everyone about my secret but I will trust you."

"I am glad you trust me," She said with a smile.

The next few days were a bit hectic as campers returned and shrouds were burned. Silena Beauregard passed away from injuries, she refused help and said that she wanted to atone for her wrong doings. New cabins were being built for Hades and minor gods. Ethan Nakamura who survived the ordeal came back with some of the other campers who agreed to go join the camp. There was tension in the air but Chiron mediated to make sure all went well with the newer members of camp.

"So you decided to join us huh?" He asked Ethan as they watched the constructions of the Nemesis Cabin.

Ethan nodded, "Yeah, I figured I might as well join the Camp, besides I want to make sure Percy keeps his word," he said with a smile.

"Oh don't worry he will," he said. "Oh I hope there are no hard feelings about Alex."

Ethan frowned, "Its alright, she made her choices. I doubt she will want to come here." He then walked up close to him and whispered in his ear, "She is just as Greek as you are."

Magnus stood in shock as his eyes widened, "You mean she was-"

Ethan only nodded, "Yup, just like your father," he said softly with a neutral expression on his face. "Don't worry though, only me and another person know and we won't tell anyone here about your father's world. Though I doubt Alabaster will come here."

"Thanks," he said as he returned to help out with the cabins.

He then found Nico building the Hades Cabin which was pretty cool with all the black and stuff, "Hey Nico how are you doing?" He asked as he patted his back.

Nico turned to him and nodded, "Good thanks just making sure that the cabin is built properly and all."

"That's good to hear. Your cabin looks cool already," he said.

"Thanks," Nico said with a small smile.

"Oh and just to let you know you are welcome here and I mean that," he said.

Nico avoided his gaze, "Thanks I'll try to stay when I can but my father has me to other things too."

"Cool well just don't be a stranger around here," he said.

Nico nodded and looked around to make sure no one was watching, "Oh that Alex girl is still alive. My dad has her locked up."

His eyes widened, "What is he going to do to her?"

"We will try to reason with her and deprogram propaganda out of her," he said with a sigh.

He nodded just as Nico looked at him with a serious look. "Magnus when I started shadow traveling at times I ended up in places such as China. I know that the Olympians aren't the only Gods," he said in a soft tone. "It also explains why I also thought your aura seemed a bit off."

Magnus gulped as he felt his heart rate and stared at Nico, "Yeah you are right with what you are implying."

Nico sighed, "I won't use it against you or anything. I just thought it was interesting to know."

"Well you are another person who is keeping my secret I guess," he said with a smile. Nico smiled at him and the two shared a laugh.

He looked at Nico and he realized he wasn't that scared of him, "Hey Nico just to let you know you are always welcome here. If you ever feel unwanted know that I want you here," he said placing a hand on his shoulder."

He swore Nico blushed for a second, "Thanks," he mumbled. "I'll try to stay as much as I can but my father may want me to run errands for him."

"No problem, just know that you are wanted here," he said.

Nico smiled at him, "Thanks you and Percy are always nice to me," he said. He noticed he didn't mention Annabeth but said nothing of it.

"Anyway be safe Nico and take care of yourself," he said. Nico nodded as the two parted ways.

Later that day he was resting with Percy and Annabeth. The three of them were chatting and celebrating Percy's birthday. Percy was talking about how about the stuff during the war and about their future plans and stuff when Annabeth suddenly started to talk, "You know Percy, this whole war has made me what realizes what matters," she said as she smiled at Percy.

He watched as Percy's face reddened, "Y-Yeah I know, I have a lot of people I care about and I am glad that a lot of them are safe."

Annabeth smiled at him, "Is there anyone in particular you care about."

Magnus saw the way Annabeth was looking at Percy and he felt his heartbeat fast. Oh I have a feeling about what is going to happen.

Percy sighed and gave him a nervous look as if asking if it was ok. However, in that instant Magnus had a good idea of what was about to happen. He smiled at him and then at his cousin and nodded as if to say go ahead.

Annabeth chuckled and she put her arms around Percy's neck and kissed him. "I am never going to make things easy for you Seaweed Brain," she said before kissing him again.

He had to admit it was kind of awkward seeing his cousin kiss his best friend but a voice behind them interrupted their moment together. "Well its about time!" They turned around to see Clarisse and a bunch of campers spying on them with torches.

"Oh come on its there no privacy?" Percy complained.

"I say these two love birds need to cool off," Clarisse said with glee.

"The lake!" Connor Stoll shouted

With a large cheer the crowd approached and picked up Percy and Annabeth while he followed them and watched as they were thrown in the lake. Clarisse laughed and patted his back. "To be honest Chase a lot of people were betting that you and Percy would hook up."

"Hey!" He said with a laugh. Not that I would've minded but I am happy for them

Later that night he and Percy were getting ready for bed in their cabin, "So Magnus are you really ok with it?" Percy asked nervously.

"With what?" He asked

Percy avoided his sight as his face reddened, "You know with me and Annabeth. Like are you ok with us seeing each other?"

"Oh um I don't mind. If you both like each other I don't mind," he said with a nervous laugh. He really didn't mind; he knew that he and Percy were very close but he was just glad that he his happy. "I mean so long as you both respect each other I guess I'm ok with it."

"Thanks man," Percy said as he came up and hugged him. "You still are my best friend you know that right?"

Magnus felt his face flush as his heart skipped a beat, "Thanks I know. You are my best friend too."

Percy looked at him with his bright green eyes and laughed as he pulled him in for a hug, "You know we will still be doing stuff together just the two of us," he said with a wink.

He smiled at Percy as he hugged him back, "Thanks I'm looking forward to it. Are we going to get Calypso tomorrow?"

Percy nodded, "Yeah if you are ready."

"I am always ready for you Percy," he said with a smile as he got into bed

Percy laughed, "Good night Magnus. We should leave as soon as possible tomorrow."

"Alright good night man," he said as the lights went out.

He slept well that night and the next morning they both got up and headed to breakfast, they let Chiron know what they were planning to do and he said that he was fine with it but to be safe. "Hey Percy are you doing anything today?" Annabeth asked as they headed towards their table.

"Um yeah we are going to get Calypso and free her from her prison. Why?" Percy asked.

Magnus watched the smile on his cousin's face freeze, "Oh, I was just wondering if you wanted to do something but never mind."

Magnus could feel the eyes of various people on them as Annabeth's face reddened, "Don't worry Annabeth we will be back soon it shouldn't take long," he said.

"Yeah you can come with us if you want," Percy said.

"No its alright I need to work on some things here you two have fun," Annabeth said as she walked back to her table.

"Kid you friend is in the dog house," Gram said.

"Yeah I think so too Gram," He thought as he and Percy at breakfast. I'll try and think of something to make her happy.

After breakfast they got ready to go to Ogygia. "I asked my dad to send the ship over it should be here soon," Percy said.

"Cool and it will take us to her island right?" He asked.

Percy nodded, "Yeah it should according to my dad. Hey do you think your cousin is mad at me?"

"Your friend is smarter than he looks," Gram said.

He ignored his sword and turned to Percy, "Don't worry man I think she just wanted to hang out with you today but I am sure she won't be too pissed." He heard Gram sigh in his head.

"Thanks, I just hope she isn't too pissed about this," Percy said as they headed towards the beach.

"I doubt she will hold it against you," Magnus said. At the beach, they found the Viking ship parked on the beach. Some of the campers were watching in awe as they got in the ship and waved goodbye to them.

Percy willed the boat to move and the boat sailed into the sea. The boat sailed into the ocean and after a few minutes, they were completely surrounded by water. "Hey Percy how long should this take?" He asked as fog appeared around them.

"Um I'm not sure but I think we will be there soon," Percy said though he didn't sound too confident. Eventually the fogged past and the sun showed brightly in the sky as if they were in a tropical area.

After a while they saw land, "We are here," Percy muttered. He only nodded as the ship approached the shore. He saw a girl there standing on the beach. She wore jeans and a white blouse while her amber hair was pulled back.

When they got close her eyes widened, "Percy you came back!" She sounded as if she were surprised that he had come. P

"Of course I did Calypso," Percy said as he extended an arm and helped her onto the boat. "This is my friend Magnus we came to get you."

Calypso smiled at him and extended her arm, "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too," He said as he shook her hand. She smelled like the sea and he had to admit she was kind of hot. Her flowing hair and her smile melted his heart and he could see why a man would want to stay with her. After they talked a bit she went and packed her things in a small suitcase and brought it on board.

"So once you leave Ogygia do you stay immortal?" Percy asked as he willed the boat to turn around.

"I have no idea?" Calypso said as she shook her head.

"Are you ok with that?" Magnus asked.

Calypso smiled at him, "Of course I am."

Percy nodded as the boat headed back to New York. "Just to let you know you are allowed to stay at camp in our cabin unless you want to do something else."

Calypso looked surprised, "Thank you that is very generous of you. I honestly don't know what I want to do yet," she said with a nervous laugh.

"Well don't worry we will help you out if you need help," he said.

Calypso smiled at him, "You are both so kind."

"Um kid," Gram asked in a worried tone

"What?" He asked

"How is your cousin going to take having a sheltered attractive female living with both of you in the same cabin?" Gram asked as if he were asking a delicate question

"Oh I don't think she will be that upset. Besides it will only be temporary," he said

Gram sighed in his head, "Well let your friend know he may end up in the dog house for a long time."

"Fine I will, but I don't think things will turn that heated," he said

They both made some small talk with Calypso who was pretty nice and before they knew it they saw the shoreline of the camp. When they parked the boat they got off and were greeted by Connor Stoll, "Wow cool boat guys who is the girl?"

"Oh this is Calypso," Percy said as they introduced each other.

"Oh Chiron wants to hold a meeting with you two and her," Connor said.

Percy nodded, "Ok we will be right there."

He and Calypso nodded as they followed Percy to the Big House. He and Percy showed Calypso around and looked in awe at the various buildings eventually they reached the Big House and were greeted by Chiron, "Hello you two I see you both brought Calypso with you both."

"Yeah we did," he said as he noticed Chiron looked a bit nervous.

"Nice to meet you," Calypso said with a smile. "I heard so much about you."

"As did I. Now come on in we have much to discuss," Chiron said.

They all nodded and went inside where some of the other counselors were. Calypso introduced herself to them and he and her sat down next to Percy.

Eventually Annabeth came in. He waved at her and she gave a small smile at him and Percy before sitting away from them and Calypso. "Yeah your friend is in trouble," Gram said.

He ignored his sword as Chiron started the meeting, "So as you all can tell Percy and Magnus here freed Calypso," Chiron said.

Calypso smiled and waved at everyone, "Nice to meet you all. I am glad to be here."

Everyone greeted her though he noticed Annabeth avoid her gaze and just stared at the wall and table and did not look at Percy or him. "Now then um Percy from what I understand your father agreed to let her stay in your cabin until she decides what to do right?" Chiron asked awkwardly.

There was an awkward silence at the table as people looked at Annabeth and then Calypso, "Um yeah she just go off her island and all so she will just stay until she figures out if she wants to live outside camp or not," Percy said.

Chiron bit his lip as the other counselors looked as if they were all in some sort of awkward situation as they looked at Calypso, Percy, and Annabeth.

"I see," Chiron said with a sigh. "I do not want to question your father its just that you, Magnus, and Calypso are not related to each other."

Oh yeah he thought as he saw the faces of the Stoll siblings and the other male counselors turn bright red. While Will Solace looked strangely intrigued and winked at him and he winked back at the son of Apollo whose face turned red. He noticed Annabeth look down as if she were being embarrassed while the female counselors gave her a look of sympathy.

He cleared his throat causing everyone to look at him, "Yeah but its not like we will mistreat her or take advantage of her or anything. Besides Percy is seeing Annabeth." Annabeth looked up at him and gave him a small smile as if to say thanks.

"Yes and I've lived with many men before so its not an issue," Calypso said.

Chiron sighed, "Its not that I don't trust either of you its just you are all teenagers," Chiron's face looked like he wanted to talk about literally anything else. "You are all not related and things can happen."

Magnus noticed the other counselors looked like they either wanted to laugh or see what was going to happen. The Stoll brothers and the other male counselors were blushing at the implications. Magnus felt his face blush as he looked at the table, well my dad is the god of male fertility and virility. He caught himself looking at Calypso and he had to admit, she was kind of hot. But its not like we would take advantage of her or anything.

"Well my dad said she can stay in the cabin we can't just throw her out," Percy said defensively. Magnus swore he saw Annabeth flinch in her seat while a bunch of the female counselors looked like they were watching a dramatic soap opera that was about to end badly.

Chiron sighed, "Fine but I cannot let you three be alone in that cabin so I will assign Grover to stay with you all for the time being."

"Sounds good I guess," he said. Percy and Calypso nodded in as well.

"Well then I guess that is everything," Chiron said.

"Wait Chiron," Clarisse as she turned to face him. "There is something I think we all want to know."

Chiron gave him a sympathetic look before sighing, "Fine what is it Clarisse?"

Clarisse turned to face him, "Magnus where did those elves come from? And that dragon where did Kronos get it? There are no dragons or elves that I can think of in the stories."

"Yeah and those swords you and Percy have they don't look Greek," Connor said

Magnus felt everyone's eyes on him. Percy, Annabeth, and Chiron gave him a supportive look. He took a deep breath and sighed, "Yeah I um found some help, I don't know how Kronos got the dragon but once me and Percy figured out that the dragon was allying himself with Kronos we found the swords that could defeat him."

Chiron nodded, "Yes, there are many things in this world and Magnus was tasked with finding them. I am afraid he cannot tell you anymore due to various circumstances."

Clarisse and the others muttered as he spoke up, "Yeah its not like I want to keep it from you guys but I can't tell about the specifics for now."

Clarisse sighed and nodded, "Its alright we understand. We trust you chase," she said as the other campers nodded.

"Good now I say this meeting is adjourned. Percy you and Magnus will give Calypso the tour," Chiron said.

He and Percy nodded as they got up and left the Big House to show Calypso the camp. However, as they were leaving his saw Annabeth give him a look that basically said she was not happy. I should give Zoe and Thalia a call.

AN: So I know some people wanted Magnus and Percy to hook up and in my opinion, they would make an interesting pair but I decided against it and to keep his relationships platonic. Don't get me wrong he was very close with Percy and Will and it could've gone somewhere but I decided against him being in a relationship and keep him single.

Also Yeah I saved Calypso and I know it seems a back peddle on Annabeth's development in the story on her dealing with jealousy but I could not see her being happy with Calypso living in the Poseidon cabin with Percy. I even flirted with the idea of giving Annabeth some development in getting over her jealousy with Percy and other people but I just couldn't see her approving of Calypso living in the same cabin as Percy even if she were cool about Magnus living with him. Besides this story has gone on for a while.

To be honest I always thought Calypso joining the hunt would've made a good end for her character arc in canon since she always was waiting for men and getting her heartbroken so instead she can discover herself in the hunt. Anyway last chapter comes out tomorrow.
