Okay, well guys I got something to say. And its not that I'm quitting writing. But to be honest, I'm not as interested in RWBY as I used to be. I still enjoy it, but I still haven't felt the need to watch the episodes as soon as they come out. Last episode I watched was when Penny crashed in front of the Schnee mansion, and even though I know they came back from their break I still haven't gotten around to watching any new episodes yet.

Truth is I've been slowly getting away from all forms of internet and social media. I deleted facebook off my phone, and I was amazed at how much free time I had, so I slowly started cutting out more time on the internet and started putting that energy into healthy pursuits. And honestly its been going great. I've been properly cutting fat and getting leaner. I've read a lot more books, and cherry on top I just bought my first AR15 since I had a lot of money saved up to the point I didn't have to worry about how much I was spending.

Overall, my life is great. Job is easy. I'm saving a ton of money. I'm in the best shape of my life. No debt. Ad overall, everything is working out well.

"God, just because we're dealing with real anime characters doesn't mean this has to play out like a shitty romance anime!" Alex ranted to his girlfriend about the situation with Jem and Winter.

"Honey, you have to be patient, if this was a romance anime, both would have fallen for each other by now." His girlfriend rubbed his back as he was ranting like a teenage girl.

"But this is getting ridiculous! I'm tempted to just lock them in a room alone with each other for a week until they figure it out!" He said as he was succumbing to the soothing feeling of a back rub.

His nameless girlfriend had gotten used to this by now. He would make some progress with trying to get Jem and Winter to date. Only for that progress to be shattered by something crazy happening. Like Jem being attracted to tomboys. That derailed a lot of the progress they had made over the last few months. And it was a slow process to get back on track. It was driving Alex crazy. It was like the gods themselves were holding conferences about how they could fuck up his plans that day.

"You should really take a break, your hair may start to turn gray." She ran her fingers through his soft silky hair.

"I know, but its just downright frustrating. I really want to play cupid, but its getting harder."

She just rolled her eyes at him. Between the two of them she thought she was the more hardcore shipper. But then she remembered her boyfriend would literally spend hours writing fanfiction if the couple he was rooting for on a show didn't end up together. While she thought it was cute, she couldn't help but feel that her boyfriend was slightly mentally unbalanced.

"Look, maybe you just got to go back to the basics over what they can bond over? Obviously the gym is out because as long as Elm wears those tight shorts, all Jem will be able to do is focus on her muscular legs." She wasn't even a lesbian or even Bi, but she could appreciate a muscular woman when she saw one.

"Ugh, we just got to think of a way to get Elm away from him."

"Again, we could try to convince Winter to go on a road trip with Jem, if we get them to bond over something magical, it could help." She said as she was hoping that Alex would take her plan into consideration.

"How are we going to do that when the whole gang from RWBY is here?"

"...Well...we could always get them sick..."

"...Are you suggesting we go find a plague victim and infect them all?"

"Well no, but we could always give everyone food poisoning."

"Okay first off, thats something straight out of a comedy, secondly, considering Jem's grandmother cooks nearly all the meals for them, we're not poisoning her food, because that would break her heart."

"Okay got it, but the fact of the matter is, we have to find a way to separate the rest of the group from them for at least a week." Alex and his girlfriend took on a thinking pose as they mulled over the ideas they had in their heads.

"I GOT IT!"

With Jem

"Don't you think its a bit early to take another trip? I mean I always wanted to go see the Havasu falls, but we literally just came back from a trip?" Jem asked as Alex was pitching an idea to him.

"Well think about it, you've made a ton of money off of Clover, you could quit your job anyways because you're preparing to move, why not take this time to explore more before you find a place to settle down?" He was trying to manipulate Jem to do what he wanted him to do.

"Well yeah, but then you have to explain why theres a gap in your employment history."

"Hey, economy is still recovering, you could get away with that easily."

"Uh no I couldn't. Because I would be leaving my job by my own free will rather than getting laid off or my job being shut down, which looks suspicious on an application."

"Oh please, your resume is good, you already got vet status, so that makes you stand out, besides your current job sucks anyways!"

"But its only temporary until I move. So its really not that big of a deal."

"...Shit..." Alex muttered under his breath.

Jem loved camping, but he also didn't want to just quit his job just like that to go camping more. So how were they going to convince him to go on a road trip.

And thats when it clicked.

"Look Jem...Its not just about you." He said taking on a softer tone.

"What do you mean?" He sensed the shift in tone and suddenly he got concerned.

"Well, Team RWBY and JNPR have adjusted pretty well to this world, even the ace ops have adjusted well, but theres still two people who are having trouble." Alex was trying to bait him into this.

"Nala and Winter?" Those were the only two he could think of.

"Yeah, Winter still sticks out like a sore thumb, and Nala, well she only just got here, and lets face it, in no time at all they'll be back in Remnant, and wouldn't you rather them have a great experience seeing the United States in all of its glory?" Alex baited him with the one thing Jem couldn't resist.

Love of country.

"...I guess you got a point, but I still don't feel comfortable taking another week off of work when I just got back from a vacation."

"And I can understand that, but think of it this way, would you rather work a dead end job for a week, or help two people make memories of a world they may never see again?" Alex said as Jem thought it over for a bit.

"Okay, I see what you mean."

"VICTORY!"

Jem just finished loading up everything they needed. But sadly it did not go according to plan for Alex.

"WOO HOO! VACATION!" Ruby said as Team JNPR and RWBY were loading up into two vans with all their stuff.

"Jem! I thought it was just going to be you, Winter and Nala!"

"Well yeah, but that was stupid, why would I willingly leave my other friends out of this trip?" Jem said as Alex grumbled.

"Goddamit, this shit is really pissing me off." Alex hadn't been this pissed off for awhile.

Jem was both dense but had a heart of gold, and it was driving him nuts.

"Alright! I get to drive for once!" Elm said as Glynda was riding in the passenger seat of another van with Elm behind the wheel.

"Why do you get shotgun?" Harriet asked as she hated being in the back seats.

"Simple, we're taller than you, we need the extra leg room." Glynda said oddly relaxed for once.

Even giving Elm a fist bump.

Tall women stick together.

"So...you're literally taking everyone with?" Alex couldn't believe it.

"Yeah, I mean, Winter and Nala will be with me in the lead truck. Team RWBY and JNPR are sharing a van with the ace ops and Glynda in the other. I figured since I always wanted to visit the Havasu falls, then I shouldn't deny everyone the opportunity. Especially since this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for them." Alex was pissed off that Jem was using his own words against him.

"Don't worry, I packed plenty of tents for everyone." That made Alex brighten up a bit.

"Oh really?"

"Well yeah, Elm and Glynda are sharing one because they're too tall for everyone else, so I gave them the big tent." Now THAT made Alex happier.

It meant that Elm wasn't going to be in the same tent as Jem! It wasn't much, but it was a start.

Nala was dressed in a little Steve Irwin outfit as Winter was dressed in leggings and a tank top with hiking boots.

Jem got into the truck as Winter got into the passenger seat.

"Its funny, as a kid I never got to go on many family road trips." Winter said as her family didn't really vacation at all.

"Really? I would have figured your father would keep you guys on expensive vacations?"

"Not so much, after all the business with the white fang, it was all just running and hiding." Winter said as she remembered how her father grew paranoid after the white fang grew more violent.

"Hey, just think of it this way, we're making up for lost time." Jem said as Winter gave him a soft smile.

"Thanks." She said as she looked in the backseat.

"Are you comfortable back there?" She asked as Nala nodded her head vigorously .

"Yep! I got books and snacks!" She said as Jem had given her a whole stack of books along with a bunch of junk food.

"...Are you sure thats healthy for her to eat?" Winter asked pointing to all the junk food.

"She's not going to eat it all at once, and besides we're on vacation." Jem said as he started up the car.

And so our heroes go off again.
