"So, before I could walk correctly, I've been dancing. When I was around four or five, my mom forgot about me. Not getting into it, just know Renée is the root of all of my life problems and Charlie doesn't subtract anything. Back to four or five. I stayed at the studio for five hours before walking home. There was a shit ton of alleys down the main street and this particular night was dark.

"I was about two minutes away from the house when three people, literally, dropped from the sky. Now to a normal four year old, that'd be either really cool or really scary. I felt nothing. I was hungry and sleepy and sore. So, I was really polite and asked them to move. Clearly they didn't."

She lifted her arms and pulled up her sleeves. On her right arm there were two very obvious, at least to vampire eyes, vampire bites. On her left there was a singular bite.

"Victoria, James and Laurent." She said quietly. "Peter happened to be roaming around and came across them. He fought them and won. Then he used a bit of venom and healed me.

"When I was 13, I was already pretty invested in an eating disorder, depression and self-harm. So, when Irina came about, I was happy to see her. I wanted to die as it was, and I figured why not. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I guess depending how you look at it, Peter was being a stalker. I'm a naturally overly aware person so having him stalk me every day was bothersome but I was aware and just let him do his thing.

"Irina disagreed with his methods but it took her eight years to find me. When she did, Peter was ready and he ended her before she could do anything. Ever since then, Peter has been around and stalking me."

Isabella

Silence. Complete silence echoed through the meadow as Edward repeated word for word the Major's memory of my first story time.

"So, uh, yeah." I started softly. "I was four the first time my life was endangered enough for the binds on my powers to be lifted."

"Not the way to move the conversation along for sure." Garrett stage whispered, causing me and Ang both to giggle.

"What happened to the bite marks?"

The question from Marcus startled me as it broke the silence again.

"Because I've been around more supernatural beings since age four and have been working with my powers, my natural appearance and full range of my powers are being released from the binds." I started. "Any and every scar, mark, blemish or imperfection is being erased the more the binds lift."

I looked down at my arms, free of any markings, self-inflicted or otherwise, for the first time since I was four years old.

"I still think you're beautiful and I don't ever wanna lose my best friend."

I smiled against Edward's neck as I heard the whispered statement from the Major.

I sent him my love in response and sighed before facing everyone.

"So, what now?" Ang asked quietly.

"Now we just deal with Alice and Rosalie." I shrugged.

"Do Carlisle and Esme know they were to get you as a baby?" Edward asked.

I sighed before answering. "Titania's blessing, me, gave both Carlisle and Esme purpose and essentially kept them focused on maintaining the vegetarian lifestyle. Because Esme is being used by Rosalie and Alice, she'll never feel like any piece of her is missing. Carlisle though, he already feels afloat since he knows who I am but doesn't know why I'm so important to him. The longer he's kept away from me, the harder it'll be for him to keep faith that he has a true purpose."

"Carlisle needs to have Isabella in his life." Alistair picked up. "He is, for all intents and purposes, her birth father. He'll feel the same emptiness one feels for a lost mate; the only difference is he won't know why he feels so empty. We all know Esme isn't his true mate."

"When we figure out Charlotte and Peter, Carlisle will be on the first plane here, or wherever we are, and he'll hear the whole story." Garrett added. "But until then all he knows is there is in an emptiness in him that isn't there when Isa is in, let's say a two-mile radius."

"When will you get your full powers?" the Major asked.

"I technically have them." I shrugged again. "The full usage of them happens when I fully break the binds holding them or I get changed, whichever comes first."

"Can you be changed?" Ang asked.

"Instead of a vampire Isa, we'll get a faery goddess Isabella, complete with pointy ears and wings." Garrett laughed.

"Guess that answers the answer about your appearance." Marcus chuckled.

"The basics will stay the same, I'm pretty sure." I answered.

"Pretty sure?" Ang asked with an arched brow.

"I'm, likely, the first and only love child faery goddess vampire princess. I have no idea what the fuck to expect at this point expect that I won't die." I answered with my own arched brow.

We both dissolved into giggles and felt the tension in the air ease up.

"Right." The Major said with an eye roll at our silliness. "Dinner time for the girls and then we'll go from there, unless there are more questions for Isa?"

When no one spoke up, he lifted Ang and lead the way back to the castle.

Marcus, Alistair and Garrett followed him silently. Edward started to follow but stopped when I tugged on his shirt.

"Baby?" he questioned quietly, looking at me in concern.

I shook my head. "Thank you for helping." I said softly. "I know it wasn't easy but thank you."

He sighed and gifted me my favorite crooked smile. "Don't you know I would do anything for you by now?" he kissed my forehead softly. "We all would."

I pressed a soft kiss to the center of his throat and answered him silently.

There is nothing I wouldn't do to keep us forever.
