This was supposed to be the sequel to Bigger Than Love
"Heaven on Earth is looking at my little boy." -Jenny Mccarthy
Five years ago if you had told Jennifer that she would have three kids and a granddaughter, she would have laughed in your face, but now Jennifer can't imagine her life any differently than the way it is. Even if she did endure heartbreak from her youngest son's father. But just looking at her son's face, she knew what a blessing that little boy is. He was actually at school now, but at work Jennifer had a picture of Henry on her desk as well as a picture of all her kids and one of her whole family.
Jennifer was just staring at the picture of Henry when a voice behind her caused her to almost jump right out of her skin. She had been staring at the picture so intensely that she had blocked out the world around her. Jennifer turned around to see an African American man dressed in a suit.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you."
"It's alright." Jennifer replied, "I'm Agent Jareau. And you are?"
"Burton Guster. Everyone calls me Gus." Gus introduced, "So...penny for your thoughts?"
Jennifer smiled, "Yeah. No. I...I don't know where I went just then." Then she found herself asking, "Do you have kids?"
"Sort of. I'm raising my two nieces. Their parents died eleven months ago." Gus explained, "I'm guessing by the pictures on your desk that you have kids. They're beautiful."
"Yeah. I have a daughter, two sons and a granddaughter." She laughed as she noticed Gus looking at her strangely, "Four years ago I adopted two kids: an eleven year old boy and a seventeen year old girl. She had a baby. Her daughter is a year older than my youngest son."
Gus gave a nod, "Oh."
Hope you enjoy. Comments are greatly appreciated.
