Chapter 58
Heart Kreuz Manor
Lucy
Natsu was leaning against my shoulder looking sick to his stomach. I wanted to shove him off of me, but I felt really bad for him. He had some serious motion sickness. I just hoped that Lisanna didn't find out about this. I didn't see her as the jealous type…but then I never knew how cruel she could be. I shivered at the memory of the Fantasia Fighting Festival. Lisanna and Mirajane were truly devilish in their plans to get revenge. I would hate to be on the receiving end of that.
"So, what do you know about Oracion Seis?" Gray asked.
"Not much," Siegrain confessed, "I've really already told you everything I know. The details of this mission are being kept close to the chest. We're supposed to get much more information once we get to the rendezvous point."
"And where is that?" I asked.
Siegrain looked out at the driver of our carriage. It was a Rune Knight, and a high ranking one at that.
"No idea."
I gave an exasperated sigh. It made sense, but I can't say I'm very happy to be so in the dark about this.
"I do know that in relation to the other two members of the Balam Alliance, Oracion Seis is regarded as the second strongest." Siegrain said.
"Wait, there are only three members of the alliance?" Happy asked.
Siegrain nodded his head in affirmation, "Besides Oracion Seis, there is also Grimoire Heart and Tartarus."
"Those two sound a lot more threatening than Oracion Seis." I remarked.
"Well, names aren't an indicator of strength. Despite the more threatening name, Tartarus is regarded as the weakest member of the three. Although, information on them is rather low. They aren't nearly as active as the other two guilds."
We were brought to the end of our conversation by the stopping of our carriage. Natsu jolted up from his position on my shoulder and dashed out of the carriage before our escort could tell us we had arrived. Siegrain, Gray, Happy and I followed Natsu out and came to a large mansion with a statue bearing a familiar symbol out front. It was the symbol of the popular fashion brand, Heart Kreuz. I had a few outfits from them, and I knew Erza was crazy about their armor collection.
"This is where we're meeting?" Gray asked.
"Yes." The man who was driving the carriage replied.
We were led into the building and found ourselves in a large, spacious foyer. There were a few Rune Knights standing guard. I was in awe. This place was beautiful. It was furnished with beautiful furniture placed on the marble floor. Stone columns lined the sides of the room, leading up to the high ceiling where a large extravagant chandelier hung.
"So, our guests have begun to arrive." Came a female voice.
Across the room, coming down the stairs, was a blue haired woman. She wore leggings and a rather tight shirt. Her outfit accentuated her assets quite well, and I had to admit, she was very attractive. Strangely though, she looked how I might expect Wendy to look like as an adult.
She descended down the stairs and approached us. Following behind her was another woman in a French maid's uniform, similar to Virgo's. She also had blue hair, though where the first woman's was left loose and flowing, hers was tied into a braid and draped over her shoulder.
"And it looks like there are some handsome men here too." The woman continued, giving Natsu and Gray a sultry smile.
"So, are you the person who's giving us our mission?" Natsu asked, completely unfazed by the woman.
She stepped up closer to Natsu and stared him up and down, "Eager, are we?"
Natsu slammed his fist into his palm can caused an eruption of fire, "Can't wait to butt heads with those Oracion Seis goons!"
The woman giggled to herself, caressed her hand on Natsu's cheek, and then turned to Gray. To my horror, Gray had already unconsciously stripped down to his boxers
She chuckled to herself and muttered, "I approve."
Gray gave her a confused look, before realizing what he had done. He cursed to himself under his breath and hurriedly gathered up his clothes. Apologizing to the woman all the while. She didn't seem to mind at all, in fact, she seemed to enjoy watching him in his underwear. Her maid on the other hand was blushing furiously and trying to avoid eye contact.
"And that leaves you…" She said, cheerfully turning her attention to Siegrain.
This was the first time since we got here that I was able to see how he was reacting to all of this. He was staring daggers at this woman. He wasn't uncomfortable at all. He seemed angry to see her here.
The woman's cheerful tone diminished as she address Siegrain, "I see you're happy to see me."
"What are you doing here?"
"This is my house."
The woman turned her attention back to Natsu and Gray, who were already arguing with each other over something.
"Are you okay?" I asked in a whisper.
Happy laughed creepily as he said, "Maybe she's his ex!"
I gasped, there was no way Siegrain would go out with someone like that? Right?
"She is NOT my ex." Siegrain sounded very offended that Happy would suggest such a thing.
Before our conversation could continue, the doors opened once more and the next guild to assist us on this mission stepped through. Had it not been for her, I might not have recognized what guild was joining us. Walking through the doors was undoubtedly Phantom Lord, with Juvia among their ranks.
"Oh, it looks like Fairy Tail beat us…" a French-looking man remarked.
"How sad!" a large man with tanned skin and a blindfold over his eyes remarked.
"Natsu." A man with half black and half white hair said.
"Totomaru." Natsu replied.
Juvia gave an excited gasp before collecting herself, "Hello Gray!"
Gray awkwardly greeted her back, "Uh…hi Juvia."
Next to me, Happy purred out, "She liiiikes him."
"Totally," I whispered back.
"Where's Gajeel?" Natsu asked completely ignoring everyone else in the room.
"Maître sent him out on another mission," The Frenchman replied, "So he sent us instead, the Element Four."
"So, then you must be Aria." Natsu said, pointing at the Frenchman.
He laughed at Natsu mockingly, "Non, I am Sol, he is Aria."
Sol pointed at the large, blindfolded man.
Natsu growled at Sol for laughing at him. Even I was getting frustrated with Phantom Lord. It was clear they just wanted to antagonize us. I looked to Siegrain to break this up before it got out of hand, but he was too busy staring daggers at Wendelyn. My only other hope was Gray, but he was pretty well occupied with Juvia.
Just when I thought a fight was going to break out, the doors opened once more, and another guild walked through the door. Three individuals walked through the door.
"Lyon!" Gray gasped.
A silver haired man dressed in similar fashion to Gray entered the building. Latching onto his arm was a pink haired girl. Behind them was a large bald man. Despite his intimidating figure, I felt strangely at ease with him around. He gave off a comforting aura, yet I had the feeling that he was the last person I wanted to fight against.
"Jura Neekis…" Siegrain said in surprise, "I wasn't expecting you here."
"I wasn't expecting to see you either, Siegrain Fernandes."
The large man, Jura, gave Siegrain a welcoming smile, which Siegrain returned in kind. Though, I could tell it was somewhat forced, I knew it wasn't due to Jura.
"You know him?" Happy asked.
"He's Jura Neekis, one of the Ten Wizard Saints."
Eyes lit up as everyone came to realize who was in the room. Jura wasn't one of the more famous Wizard Saints, in fact, he was the newest member of the organization. It was strange seeing him here, especially since I recall him belonging to a foreign nation. It's not like Wizard Saints can't travel between nations on Ishgar, it is an international organization after all, but it still felt weird.
"He's also the newest member Lamia Scale," The silver haired man, Lyon replied.
"So, you joined a Mage Guild in Fiore and not Caelum?"
"Fiore is known for their powerful mage guilds. Caelum is not." Jura explained, "If I want to get stronger and surpass you, I knew I needed to relocate."
Siegrain and Jura shared a laugh. It seemed like the cloud hanging around him had finally went away. With the air around us softening, we began to intermingle with the other guilds. Natsu immediately got to talking to Jura about the possibility of fighting him, to nobody's surprise. Jura actually agreed to a spar after the mission though! I caught the pink haired woman leave Lyon and approach Juvia. Lyon had taken Gray aside to talk. I had already heard that they both trained under Ur, so I assumed that they had plenty to talk about. I decided to see what the other girls were up to. Happy accompanied me.
"Ooh, you love him, don't you?" the pink haired girl said.
"Sherry please…" Juvia said, turning beat red.
"She liiiikes him." Happy purred.
"Oh, definitely!" the pink haired girl, Sherry replied, "It's LOVE at first sight!
"Hm, you have a crush on him?" Wendelyn asked, approaching us, "You should get moving then, the ladies are going to be swarming for him."
"She's right, you know!" Sherry replied, "He may not be as good looking as my love, Lyon, but he is still very handsome."
"I'll give you some advice," Wendelyn said, "Guys like it when a woman shows a bit more skin."
Wendelyn reached over and began to pull at the collar of Juvia's jacket. Juvia's eyes widened in shock as she LITERALLY TURNED INTO WATER! Wendelyn's eyes wide in shock as well, and I could have sworn I heard her mutter, "It's been quite a few years since that's happened".
Sherry gave an awkward laugh and said, "Well, maybe you don't need to go THAT hard, but you should still pursue him, if for no other reason than LOVE!"
Juvia looked at me for help. She was blushing mad red. It was clear that she had a thing for Gray, but she was also nervous about pursuing a relationship with him. I wondered why that was? Is she shy?
"I mean, as far as I know Gray is single." I told her, "And he's a genuinely nice guy who cares about others."
"What does he think about the rain?"
I looked at Juvia in confusion.
"I doubt rain bothers him." Sherry replied, "Gray's trained in blizzards before, a little rain should be nothing to him."
For some reason that seemed to perk Juvia up a bit.
We were interrupted from our conversation by a voice calling down to us.
"Ahem."
We all turned to find a man dressed in official Magic Council attire at the top of the stairs. Wendelyn left us and joined him at his side, along with her maid.
"Thank you all for coming, my name is Lahar, and I will be heading this operation."
We all fell silent and got in line to be debriefed. The atmosphere in the room turned heavy. We all watched Lahar intently.
"As you may all know, we have received information that Oracion Seis is operating in this area. According to our sources, they are searching for a very powerful weapon called Nirvana. Information on this weapon is limited, but we do know that it was created by the Black Wizard Zeref and sealed away roughly four hundred years ago. You're mission is to prevent the unsealing of Nirvana and keep it out of Oracion Seis's hands." Lahar paused for a moment to allow us to digest that information, "Any questions?"
Jura raised his hand, "Do we know anything about what Nirvana is capable of?"
Lahar replied, with a hint of disappointment in his voice, "All we know is that it controls the light and the dark. What that means specifically, we don't know. As I said, our information on this weapon is limited."
Lahar waited for a moment for any more questions before he continued, "As for Oracion Seis, we have some information on their members. One member is confirmed to be a Celestial Spirit Mage. To our knowledge, this individual is in the possession of three golden keys. They are also the only female of the group. There is also a strong possibility that a member of theirs uses Dragon Slayer magic. Rumor has it that several years ago a dragon lacrima was sold to them on the black market. This is only a rumor though, so take it with a grain of salt."
Mine and Natsu's eyes lit up at hearing about these two members. I looked to Siegrain and saw that he was not surprised in the least by this news. This was most likely information he was privy to thanks to his time in the magic council. Something occurred to me though.
"Wait, they only have one female in their entire guild?"
Lahar seemed actually surprised by my question, "Yes, as per their guild's name, they only have six members. This is not counting any animal companions or Celestial Spirits they may have at their disposal though. Saying that, you should still approach these mages with extreme caution. They are known to be extremely dangerous."
I gulped, trying to keep it as secret as possible. Even if Siegrain trusted in my abilities, I was still wary about going up against such powerful opponents. But I did have my friends by my side, and Siegrain wouldn't let anything happen to me. Neither would any of my spirits! I took a deep breath to calm myself.
"Now then, unless there are any other questions, let us move on."
