Chapter 56
"Miss Nobuko has arrived Master Akito," a butler suddenly announced as he came into the study where Katashi was still in the middle of his apology/plea for help.
"Oh, yes, show her in," Akito allowed.
As Nobuko came in, her eyes immediately feel to Katashi still on his knees. Katashi looked at her embarrassed.
"What are you doing here?" she asked as she walked over and sat next to Akito.
"Making amends for several wrongs I've done," Katashi admitted.
"You, taking responsibility?" Nobuko asked sarcastically.
"You've sound like you don't believe him," Akito said as he took her hand in his.
"I've known him since middle school. I saw how he became such an egotist ever since he led our school to three championships. It got worse through high school and into college. He's never tried to take personal responsibility from what I've seen," Nobuko explained.
"Yeah, well, now I'm trying to make up for that," Katashi insisted.
"He's actually made an interesting proposal," Akito mentioned, "he wants us to help find a new home for Kyoya and Hanako and the baby. In exchange for a few favors of course. One of them being he's going to wait at our new penthouse for the furniture delivery day."
"Is he really?" Nobuko whispered. Akito gave her a smirk and a nod.
"The other being he'll help Fuyumi design and put together her nursery," he added.
Nobuko had to take a deep breath to keep from laughing. She turned and looked at Katashi.
"You're certainly acting like you've changed," she said, "you'd never do something like that before unless it'd benefit you personally."
Katashi looked down ashamed.
"You're right," he admitted, "I have been greedy and selfish for long time. Too long, and I've hurt people because of that. People like you." He looked up sincerely at Nobuko.
"I never did apologize for the way I treated you at the spa. First only taking you so I'd look good by bringing a date. Then neglecting you to flirt with other women and only take an interest when another man showed interest in you and you in him. I am sorry I did all that to you."
"Well, I've seen you treat others worse including your own family," Nobuko started to say, "and besides, if you hadn't done all you've done, I wouldn't have met Akito and found happiness."
She turned and smiled at Akito who returned the smile and also leaned in for a kiss.
"Yes, I too have found much happiness with Nobuko," he said, before giving her another kiss.
"Yeah, good for you," Katashi muttered.
"Alright now, let's stay focused," Mr. Otori spoke up. "Mr. Kokan has come here out of the goodness of his heart to try and do something right. We should honor and appreciate what he's trying to do."
"You're right father," Yuuichi agreed, "we should get started on the research."
He was about to pull out his laptop when he was distracted by Kyoya coming into his room. He put it away seemingly without Kyoya noticing. There was no reason to let him know about their little plan at the moment.
The sun in the large bay windows shined into Kyoya's face. The brightness crept through them so strongly that it caused Kyoya to wake with a groan.
Looking over at his clock, the time reading 8:30am. It wasn't as early has he thought it had been. He did not mind though. With haste, he moved to his closet, seeing that some of his clothing had indeed been saved since he'd left the Ootori estate.
Pulling out a white button up and a pair of light brown khaki pants along with a grey jacket, he made his way out, about to call for the limo to take him to the hospital to see Hanako.
Walking out, he passed by the meeting room, seeing Katashi in the room along with his brothers, Nobuko, and his father.
Entering the room, he bowed.
"Good morning Kyoya. I hope you rested comfortably." Akito asked.
Nodding, he found a cup of hot tea being placed in the table. "Please, do have a cup of tea with us."
Kyoya couldn't resist a cup of hot tea, he sat sipping at it. Finding himself looking over at Katashi, he crooked an eyebrow.
Almost reading his expression, Nobuko answered, not wanting to give away the surprise. "Katashi is here to apologize to everyone. He apologized to your father and brothers and I too."
Katashi nodded, turning towards Kyoya before bowing. "I am also sorry to you. I have realized the error of my ways. I know it will be hard for people to forgive what I've done or how I've acted and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it up to people. I'm really a good person... I just... I let the idea that I had to show off to impress everyone get to my head."
Nobuko nodded, "Thank you for apologizing Katashi. It is good that you've realized that you were wrong." She looked up towards Kyoya. "Going to the hospital to see Hanako?"
"Yes. I'm going to find some nice breakfast to take to her in the hospital. I'm sure, even if it an Otori hospital, that the hospital food is probably still not that great."
Mr. Otori nodded, "Please, give her a hello from us. we might stop by later tonight, if work allows."
Bowing, Kyoya smiled. "Thank you father."
Walking out of the room, he moved passed the kitchen. Pursing his lips, he moved towards Tabake and Sorai.
"Good morning Master Kyoya. I hope your fiancée and child are well?"
Kyoya nodded. "They are. I was hoping... maybe you could whip up something for her? This food is way better than hospital food."
That earned him a look from the pair of servants.
"And yet that is what your poor lady has endure while she recovers from that terrifying fire," Sorai scolded.
"Well, when you put it that way," Kyoya started to say, "Perhaps I could take a care package for her."
"Way ahead of you, Master Kyoya," Tabake said as Kyoya noticed a few servants walking past with some different bags.
"Your sister made arrangements for us to cater to your Lady Hanako, saw that she got some decent food while she recovers," Sorai explained.
"Good old Fuyumi," Kyoya muttered with a smirk. "Well, I'll see you there then."
When Kyoya pulled up to the hospital parking lot, he was surprised, but at the same time not too surprised and a little annoyed to see a few different familiar cars all around.
He sighed as he the driver was nice enough to open the door for him.
"Were those some of your friends' cars I saw as we were pulling up?" the driver asked half-sarcastically.
"You noticed too?" Kyoya said, "I supposed I should be grateful they care about Hanako in such a way they'd come to see her."
He walked into the hospital and took the elevator to Hanako's floor. He had just stepped out when he heard a little commotion coming from the lobby. Kyoya reluctantly walked over and looked in, to see his friends talking and looking over several different gifts and treats they had apparently brought for Hanako and Kouki.
"How much longer is he even going to be Boss?" Kaoru asked.
"Kyoya will come when he's ready! And once he has a chance to see Hanako and Kouki, then we can go see them for ourselves and give them our gifts!" Tamaki snapped.
"Okay, okay," Kaoru and Hikaru said together.
"I'm surprised Tamaki, I'd think you would have wanted to see Hanako and your godson right away, even without me," Kyoya spoke up.
Everyone froze as Kyoya revealed himself.
"Yes, well, uh," Tamaki sputtered.
"I convinced him it would strengthen his bond as a friend and godfather to Kouki if he waited and help make everyone else wait," Haruhi explained.
"Ah," Kyoya said smugly. However he suddenly felt a little less good when he noticed Hunny sitting in a corner with Tomomi, glaring his way.
'Oh dear, I should have known I would have a confrontation with him,' Kyoya thought.
"Anyway," he continued, "I like to thank you for coming to see Hanako and Kouki. I should mention that Fuyumi made arrangements for Hanako to have a special breakfast while she's here. I'm sure you are all welcome to join us."
"Oh," a lot of the group said.
"I'll just go and check on Hanako real fast and see if she's up for breakfast," Kyoya started to say.
"Kyoya, is that you?"
Kyoya looked out to see Hanako being wheeled down the hallway holding Kouki.
"Good morning dear," Kyoya said delighted.
"They said they have a special breakfast service set up for me," Hanako said as she was stopped in front of him, "they were taking me there right now."
"Ah yes," Kyoya said as he knelt down next to Hanako's level, "how are you feeling?"
"Good enough to want this breakfast!" Hanako insisted.
Kyoya chuckled and kissed her.
"Would you mind some guests?" he asked.
"Huh?" Hanako asked before she noticed a few of their friends looking out of the lobby.
"Is there going to be enough?"
"Oh Fuyumi went overboard just in general," Kyoya said as he stood up and allowed Hanako's pusher to continue to roll her down a different hallway. Everyone from the lobby followed after.
"So Hanako, in all honesty, how are you?" Namiko asked as she ran to keep up.
Hanako looked a little startled, mostly unsure, to see her coming up next to her.
"Fine for the most part," she said, "I'm mostly glad that Kouki came out mostly unscathed. If something bad had happened to him then...,"
Hanako couldn't even bring herself to finish as she gently held her son closer. A small tear came down her cheek.
"I know," Kyoya tried to comfort her, "I'd be terrified too if anything happened to him, but I would have been for you too."
"Hmm," Hanako muttered as she was pushed past a set of doors and quickly distracted by several different food preparation station set up with one big round table set up in the middle.
"Hello! Hello!" Tabake said as he and Saroi came up to the group. "well have several food available; we have pancakes, omelets, waffles, and French toast available."
"Plus we have a station to prepare some meat items prepared, ham, bacon and sausage. Plus a drink station. So please enjoy," Saroi added.
"Oh, sweet!" Hikaru and Kaoru both exclaimed as they dashed off to one of the stations.
"Oh can I get strawberries on any of them?" Hunny asked as he hurried to another.
Kyoya wheeled Hanako over to the table that happened to have a perfect opening for her wheelchair.
"I'll go get you a ham omelet, just the way you like it," he as he gently stroked her face.
"Thank you," Hanako said, enjoying the stroking. She watched Kyoya walk away before glancing down at Kouki who was reaching for his mommy.
"Are you trying to be like daddy already?" Hanako joked as she took his little hand.
She suddenly heard a chair being moved and looked to see Namiko sitting next to her.
"Hi," Namiko said a calm face.
"Hi," Hanako greeted back. Hanako bit her lip, noticing Namiko not eating anything. "Aren't you going to get something to eat?"
"No," Namiko said, "I haven't had much of an appetite honestly, since Ritsu left, it's taken a little bit of getting used to."
"How's the moving going?" Hanako asked with slight caution.
"Good, good, Just finished packing my stuff last night with Haruhi, Tomomi, and Takami's help... I'm doing as well one can do when my fathers don't want me to move," Namiko joked.
"Well, they still have your little sister," Hanako tried to point out.
"I know, I'm practically throwing her to the wolves with this," Namiko tried saying, with a small chuckle.
Both she and Hanako suddenly heaved a sad sigh.
"So, now what? Are we cool? Can we just forget about the other day?" Namiko asked a little embarrassed.
"I, um, I want but, I still feel bad over the way I treated you. I, shouldn't have snapped at you like I did," Hanako muttered.
"It's, okay, really, I, half-way figured you were going through some things," Namiko tried to brush it off.
"Well, I was still getting over the fact that the woman Kyoya's brother was going to marry had badmouthed me at the party. She even said she would have preferred Kyoya over Yuuichi. It made me feel a little worthless. A commoner girl who only got what she got because she let herself get knocked up. Who knows what others, either from Kyoya's world or mine, are saying about me because of all of this. I thought she was tolerant of me at the very least. How foolish I was."
"Damn, I could see how that would get you roused up," Namiko said, "and how my constant talks about how great my life was going even with my boyfriend leaving, could set you off."
"No, I could have controlled my temper better. I'm sorry Namiko! Really I am!" Hanako insisted as she reached out and gripped Namiko's hand. "I want to know about your life and what is happening with you!"
Namiko stopped and looked at Hanako, biting her lip. "I was so scared. I thought I was going to lose my best friend. I was so scared that the last time we'd spoken was the last. I didn't sleep."
"Then let's do what I said before, let's forget about this. Drop it and move on!" Namiko assured her friend. Hanako nodded.
Namiko smiled and hugged her best friend, being mindful of her injuries.
"Here dear," Kyoya suddenly interrupted gently, putting down a plate with Hanako's omelet.
"Oh, looks great!" Hanako said excited.
"I should hope so. I'd settle for nothing less," Kyoya said. "Now allow me to take Kouki while you eat, while I go and see what I'd like for breakfast."
"Sure," Hanako allowed, gently handing Kouki over to his father. Kyoya actually seemed to smile as he held the baby and walked off with him, seeming to whisper, "Hi kiddo." getting a cooed response from Kouki. This making everyone in the group smile, tenderhearted
"Here you go Namiko," Mori also said as he placed a thing of French toast along with some bacon and even a drink.
"Oh, thanks Mori-san!" Namiko said. "Sorry you were asked to do this..." Namiko paused.
Mori shook his head. "No, it's okay. I'm happy to."
Namiko took a whiff, "mmm, smells pretty good!"
"Yeah, I think I'll go get some myself." Hunny said as he walked to the station with Mori.
"What's up with Mori-senpai?"
Namiko shrugged. "With Ritsu gone, Limber was busy today and asked Mori to keep an eye on me." She laughed. "They treat me like I'm fragile."
Namiko giggled, moving to pick up a fork with her heavily bandaged hand.
"Oh! What happened to your hand?" Hanako asked, seeing Namiko's hand tightly wrapped and bandaged up to her wrist.
Namiko nodded, gesturing to her hand. "I went to the site... after the fire. It was after I heard the news on tv. I just ran out of my house to the old apartment." Namiko paused and nodded to Kyoya and Kouki, as everyone sat down to eat.
"It was a wreck I'm sure." Kyoya sighed, still seeming to feel guilty.
Namiko nodded. "Yeah, but... Something was pulling me to the rubble. I climbed up it, Haruhi gave me an ear full, and I sliced my hand clear open, almost to the bone, on a metal beam." Kyoya looked at her as did Hanako, confused and Hanako gently took her friends hand in hers.
Hanako bit her lip again, "Does your hand hurt?"
Namiko sighed and nodded, "Quite a bit yeah, but it is okay." She paused for a moment before continuing. "But I didn't care... I felt as if I needed to find something... and I found a metal box that had somehow survived the blaze. It was badly ruined, but the pieces inside were still in tact, actually good condition... I went with Haruhi, Tomomi, and Tamaki to have them cleaned."
Namiko paused again, pulling three satin bags out of her pocket, handing them over to Hanako and Kyoya.
"What are these?"
Namiko gestured to the satchels. "Open them... I'm glad I was able to find them for you."
As Hanako opened the bags, she gasped, seeing the jewelry sets Kyoya had bought her, including the piece he got her, the same night Kouki was conceived.
"Oh... Namiko..." Hanako had a couple tears rolling. "Thank you so much..." Hanako paused one more time, seeing an edition to the simple necklace. It was an aquamarine gem pendant. "What's this?"
"Well... we all thought it would be good... since that necklace was something sentimental, that we should add Kouki's birthstone to it." Namiko smiled as she went to put the necklace on Hanako, hissing in pain when she went to move her wrapped hand.
"I'll get it Namiko!" Tomomi offered, Namiko willingly handing it over to her.
Hanako smiled at the necklace on her neck, it meaning so much to her.
"Thank you guys. I love you all so much."
"Yeah well, you've made yourself a permanent part of the family too now," Hikaru and Kaoru said.
"The family?" Hanako asked.
"Or whatever kind of delusional fantasy the boss see us all in," the twins explained looking towards Tamaki.
"What!" Tamaki shouted, "What do you mean delusional fantasy?! I can't help it if I have a lovely vision of how we all fit together in marvelous harmony!"
Namiko smiled. "You're not wrong though Tamaki-san, we are all a big family, no matter what happens in the future." She pursed her lips. "Speaking of which, Hanako, Haruhi, Tomomi, maybe Tamaki, when Hanako get's better, could you come with me to get the Kasanoda crest? I just want people to talk to since I know... this tattoo will take hours to accomplish."
The girls all nodded, this beginning a group conversation, things at long last seeming to come together.
Fuyumi smiled as she walked into the room, holding printed photos of condos in high scale areas of the bunkyo area.
Katashi bowed his head again. "Thanks again for allowing me to help. I just..."
Fuyumi nodded.
"You're welcome. We're just glad to see you've come to your senses." She placed the photos on the table. "Now, these are the ones that I saw that look the nicest, in my opinion. This one in particular." She said as she pointed to a luxury condo. The living and dining areas looking amazing spacious. The stairs led up to a loft which led to a long wide hallway. The place looked very modern but something still acceptable for a modern family.
"This seems quite acceptable Fuyumi," Akito agreed.
Nobuko nodded, "This looks like my place, but definitely bigger, will be very nice for them. I'd say, if I may, in my opinion, you found a perfect place Fuyumi."
Mr. Otori walked towards the table and picked up the images, holding them close.
"Yes, let's have Fuyumi, Akito, Nobuko, and Katashi go and set it up? We can greet them there when it is decorated and furnished."
"When should our deadline be?" Fuyumi asked her father.
"Let's try to have it completed by the end of the week? That's about 5 days. I think it can be done by then."
Katashi nodded and went into his bag, pulling out what seemed to be about 211,860 Yen. He bit his lip and placed it on the table.
"What is this?" Fuyumi asked.
"Well... I took my refund from my classes... I figured they could be useful."
Everyone looked at one another, deciding amongst one another.
Nobuko shook her head, taking the money and putting it back into his bag.
Katashi looked up at everyone, confusion on his features. "I don't understand."
Fuyumi took the young mans arm, "Come on, let's go to the furniture store, let's place an order for everything." Turning back to her brother and his girlfriend, she smiled. "Think you two can shop for the paints, wallpaper, stuff like that?"
Nobuko nodded happily.
Katashi stopped for a moment, walking over to Nobuko. "Can you do something for me?"
She pursed her lips. "Depends."
"Well... I want to be an uncle my nephew deserves... so could you be on the look out for Basketball décor for his room? M-Maybe I could teach him someday."
Nobuko smiled, nodding her head. "I'll see what I can do. You better get going with Fuyumi, maybe try to get coffee, she'll run you into pure exhaustion.
Hanako sat in the wheelchair, holding Kouki to her. It wasn't necessary, but it was something Kyoya wanted to do.
Hanako saw her mother waiting for them, a big smile on her face. "Your father and younger siblings are at the house. They're all excited to see you. Your father is making your favorite-"
"Pork Tenderloin?!" Hanako asked, her face lighting up.
Kyoya chuckled seeing her so happy. So this was her favorite? This was something he'd have to keep in mind.
"You know it's not too late for you to change mind and go stay with your parents, Kyoya," Mrs. Kokan mentioned as she picked up a few bags in the room.
"Nonsense, this will be better for everyone in the long run," Kyoya assured her as he started to wheel Hanako out.
"Oh good news too, your Aunt Anako was nice and loaned us her old baby bassinet for Kouki to use. So we'll have one for your room and downstairs," Mrs. Kokan brought up.
"Oh that's nice," Hanako said.
"Yes, she and your Aunt Suki both eagerly offered up plenty of some of their old baby things, along with Mrs. Shoukan, your friend Tomomi's mom?" Mrs. Kokan explained.
"Wow, that was awesome!" Hanako said.
"I just wish there was some things of our own we could have saved from the fire," Kyoya said sadly.
"You know, when we were moving into the home we had before we came to the house we have now, when Hanako was our baby," Mrs. Kokan started to say, patting her daughter's hair. "somehow, someway, between the movers and my husband's less than helpful moving process, we ended up loosing most of our baby things, along with a lot of her brother's things. Oh Katashi threw a temper tantrum for days! We managed to recover a few of his things, but none of the baby stuff. Oh it was devastating!"
"Is that why you went out and bought all the new things for when Matsuo was born?" Hanako asked.
"Yeah," Mrs. Kokan muttered.
"I hope you didn't experience a similar experience when you went and moved into your current home," Kyoya said.
"Nah, I was barley pregnant with Matsuo when that happened. Even though one of the reasons we bought a bigger place was so we could have another baby. We wanted a third or more," said Mrs. Kokan.
"Well good that worked out for you," said Kyoya right as they came to the elevator. The three were able to engage in some pleasant talks as they rode down and exited the hospital. Kyoya managed to gently roll Hanako down to the parking garage and follow her mother to their waiting car.
"Go ahead and get in, I'll load up the bags," Mrs. Kokan insisted as she opened the back.
"Want me to help with Kouki?" Kyoya offered. Hanako smiled at him and let him take the baby and strap him into a new baby seat, perfectly situated in the seat.
"Mom, is this yours?" Hanako asked.
"Well, I kind of figured that I'd need one of my own in case I'd need to watch Kouki more often, like when you're both at work or something," Mrs. Kokan explained sheepishly as she finished loading everything.
Hanako shrugged and looked at Kyoya.
"Would you prefer shotgun or the backseat next to Kouki?" Kyoya merely asked.
"Uh, I think I want next to Kouki," Hanako said as she managed to walk around and get in the backseat. Kyoya nodded as he climbed into the front seat. Mrs. Kokan quickly got into the driver's seat and got the car moving.
"When do you think you'll be able to go back to work Hanako?" Mrs. Kokan asked as they drove.
"I don't know, I still have some sick leave," Hanako said, as she fussed over her son, "plus my maternity leave."
"What about you?" Mrs. Kokan asked Kyoya.
"Well, I'm actually considering looking for a new job. One that can provide more for my family. One that wouldn't require Hanako to work as well," Kyoya explained. He looked back at his wife.
"Well, I don't mind working," Hanako insisted.
"I know, but I like to know my job would be so you don't have to get one because we need to. I'd rather you just take a job because you want to," Kyoya explained.
"That's why I took my job at the bakery," Mrs. Kokan said, "because I wanted something for myself."
Hanako smiled at Kyoya's words.
"I'll have to take that into consideration," she said.
After a semi short drive, they soon pulled up to Hanako's old house.
"It's actually been a while since I've been back here," Hanako said softly. "I don't think I have since, I confessed I was pregnant with Kouki."
"Well, welcome home," her mom said as she helped started to get things out.
Just then Koizumi came running out. Hot on her heels were the two dogs the family had adopted at the Otori's spa, Fuyumi and Otori.
"My, my, those two sure have grown," Kyoya mentioned as he went to help Mrs. Kokan with the bags.
"Yes, but they're still great dogs," said Mrs. Kokan.
"I've come out to help!" Koizumi shouted eagerly, "what can I do?"
"Here honey," Mrs. Kokan handed her a few of the smaller bags. Koizumi took them before walking over to Hanako and Kouki.
"Hi Kouki, remember me? I'm your Aunty Koizumi?" she said sweetly.
"Want to say hi to Aunty?" Hanako asked as she tilted Kazumi a little so Koizumi could get a better look.
Kouki giggled at the young girl, waving his arms.
"We're going to have so much fun together Little Kouki!" Koizumi promised.
"Yes, I'm sure you will," her mother said casually as they headed back into the house.
Inside, they found Mr. Kokan struggling to put a playpin together.
"I know I can get this!" he was heard muttering.
"Still struggling with that thing dad?" Koizumi teased.
"Watch it you!" her father warned as he continued to try.
"May I offer some assistance?" Kyoya offered.
"Go ahead, why not," Mr. Kokan reluctantly asked. Kyoya was able to pull at the middle of the playpen and seemingly managed to get set straight with little effort.
"You are human, aren't you?" Mr. Kokan asked before walking over to Hanako and the baby.
"Alright... can... can the grandfather hold his grandson?" Mr. Kokan asked, his tone kind of sheepish.
Hanako smiled and nodded, gently placing a cheerful Kouki into his arms.
She couldn't help but to smile, things were slowing falling back into place.
"Hey, I think I got that swing installed properly," Matsuo said as he came down the stairs, "how's the playpen coming Dad?"
"The wizard Kyoya fixed," Mr. Kokan muttered.
"Hey! Kyoya!" Matsuo said excited, "wait till you see what all we got set up for the baby! You and Hanako are going to love it!"
"I just hope we still have room to move around," Hanako said softly as she walked towards the stairs.
"Why don't you go upstairs and take a look?" her mother insisted.
Kyoya helped her up, she insisting on grabbing her own bag as they moved into Hanako's old room. Hanako gasped when she saw that the spare guest room was emptied out decorated with a bed, changing table, dresser, and toys.
"Mom?" She asked, Hanako having assumed Kouki would sleep in her old room with them.
"Well, I figured it would be good. Allow you two to get some decent sleep. If you pump before bed, I could be with him in the morning, allow you a chance to actually sleep in."
Hanako smiled wide, excited about the idea of getting much needed rest.
"I don't know what to say."
Mr. Kokan shook his head. "No need to say anything Hanako. You've earned it. Despite everything, I'm very proud of you."
Her father's heartfelt comment made Hanako tear up, smiling as she watched her father holding her son.
"Hey, I'm back!"
"Oh, hey Katashi."
Her brother smiled as he saw Kouki. He ran over to his father begging to hold Kouki, Mr. Kokan being his stubborn self.
Katashi paused for a moment, turning towards his sister.
"How are you feeling? You're burns healing nicely?"
Hanako spoke with her family, everything for the first time in nearly a year felt at peace.
"Alright everyone! Let's gather around the table!"
At that time, Kouki decided he was also hungry.
Hanako was about to excuse herself when her father handed her cover so she could eat and feed Kouki at the same time.
Everyone looked at him, a little shocked. Chuckling, he rolled his eyes, "Moms need to eat hot meals too."
Once night time fell, everyone was in bed, for the first time, Kouki was able to sleep somewhere with some peace and quiet. Hanako was laying on her bed, closest to the wall, Kyoya stripping down to his boxers and a sleep shirt.
Slipping under the covers with Hanako, he wrapped his arm around her.
"I'm so glad that you're safe."
Hanako nodded.
"Me too." She paused, looking into Kyoya's deeply passionate eyes, it making her heart race. "I love you, Kyoya."
Kyoya smiled gently, moving his lips against her neck, peppering her skin with gentle kisses.
"And I love you."
Hanako bit her lip, her heart pacing faster, a blushed hue on her cheeks. Even in the dark room, Kyoya could notice it.
"You know... I know this is your parents house... but if you're up for it. I'd love to show you just how much I love you." Kyoya whispered, using that same mischievous and passionate smile he knew she loved.
Hanako smiled again, slowly wrapping her arms around him.
"I'd love that. But, perhaps... once we've both got some rest?" She asked gently.
Kyoya chuckled, knowing full well how little he and Hanako had slept. Nodding to himself, he agreed. "You're right. Get some sleep." He hummed, hugging her to him, his arms gently but tightly wrapped around her. "Good Night Shadow Queen." He smirked, knowing she probably didn't know the reference, but to him, he knew that she was now, if not before, most definitely his.
