Chapter 59-Anger and The Truth

Lexa's group

Lexa, Clarke, Wells, and Ontari walk through the woods with their weapons out. Lexa stops in the middle of the woods and moves back a few moments later. An arrow goes past where she was and into a tree. Wells raises his weapons as two groups of Clanless, both with 15 men, come out on both sides of them. "It's an ambush," Lexa says as she looks at the group in front of her and Clarke.

"We got the commander," A man says. Lexa looks at Wells.

"You have them still?" She asks. Wells nods as he pulls a pipe bomb out of his bag. Wells lights it as the grounders watch him and throw it at the group in front of him. They start to move when the bomb goes off, killing all but two of them in the first group. "Wells deal with the last two. We'll deal with the rest," Wells nods as he walks over to the last two, who start to stand up.

"We'll kill you," The man says as he pulls out his weapons, followed by the others.

"Ontari hang back and use your bow," Lexa tells the Azgeda warrior, who nods. Lexa and Clarke pull out their swords as the men come towards them. Ontari shoots one of the men as they come at them. Lexa ducks under a man, swings and pulls out her knife, and puts it through his chest. The man falls to the ground as Lexa kicks another and stabs him in the stomach. Clarke was behind Lexa, making sure nobody came up from behind her. Clarke swings her sword at a man who jumps back. As he is about to swing, a bullet goes through his neck. Wells stood beside Ontari, helping her shoot the clanless. It doesn't take long before all the men lay on the ground dead. Lexa pulls her dagger out of the man she killed and puts it back in her sheath as she does with her sword. She looks at Ontari and Wells.

"Good job, you two," She tells them before he looks at Clarke.

"Are you okay?" Lexa asks.

"I'm fine, Lexa," Clarke says. Lexa walks up to Clarke and inspects her.

"Lexa, I swear I'm okay. I'm as fit as a fiddle," Clarke says. Lexa looks at her, confused. "I need to teach you more Skaikru terms. I'm okay," Lexa nods as she pulls her into a kiss after Clarke looks at Wells.

"You don't seem surprised," Clarke says.

"I'm your best friend, Clarke. You seem happier around her. It was pretty obvious. I also saw you go in her room," Wells says.

"Yeah, it's not easy to hide," Clarke says.

"I don't care if you hide it. Just glad your happy," Wells tells her. Clarke smiles.

"We should keep going," Ontari says.

"We'll look a little bit longer. Then we'll go back," Lexa says. They nod as they keep walking.

Alpha station

Billy sits across from Lena as Roan and Roy stand at the door. "Let's talk. I know enough about Nia to know she would deliver that message with a body. You're not a prisoner though I do believe you are from Azgeda. What do you want?" Billy asks.

"I told them the truth?" Lena says.

"No, you didn't. Now either you can tell me the truth or wait for Ontari to come back. She'll be able to identify you," Billy says.

"Then I'll wait for Ontari," Lena says. Billy nods as he stands up and leaves the room, shutting the door on his way out. He looks at the two guards.

"Two guards here at all time," Billy tells them. They nod as they walk away. "She's hiding something. You don't recognize her Roan?"

"No, but I also have not been to Azgeda in a long time. The question is, how does my mother know about Ontari?" Roan asks.

"We have a rat," Roy says.

"Who thought?"

"We only talk with the people we trust," Billy tells them. They nod and walk away.

Bellamy's group

Bellamy sat outside the tent. He hears a baby and stands up. He walks inside the tent and sees the woman holding the baby. "She will be weak, and we will need to carry her back," Nyko says. Bellamy walks outside and looks at Harper and Myles.

"Make a stretcher," Bellamy tells them. They nod as they walk away. Bellamy walks inside and looks at the woman. "What's your name?"

"Lydia," Lydia says as she holds her son. "He is William. Named after my father," Lydia says as she holds her son.

"You'll be safe at Alpha station," Emma says.

"We need a better name," Bellamy says. Bellamy takes off his bag and takes out a bottle of water. "Here," Bellamy says to Lydia, who holds the baby out to him.

"Do you mind?" She asks.

"Not at all," Bellamy says as he hands the bottle to Nyko and grabs the baby. Nyko gives Lydia the bottle. "Hey, buddy, we're going to get you somewhere safe," "Get some sleep before we leave," Lydia nods as she lays down, and Bellamy rocks William back and forth with a smile on his face.

Alpha station

Billy walks outside after Roan had come and told him they saw Kane's group coming back. He watches as Kane walks into the camp carrying Callie's body. Billy could hear Abby gasp as Kane set Callie down and walks up to Billy. "Kane, I'm-" Billy is cut off by Kane punching Billy in the face. Kane grabs his shirt and punches him in the face before he throws Billy to the ground and kicks him in the stomach. Gustus and Roan grab Kane, who tries to kick him again.

"You gave the order. We didn't need to kill them, and you gave an order when one wasn't needed. They gave up, and now she's dead. You killed her! You killed Callie!" Kane shouts at him. Roy tries to help Billy up, but he pushes him away and stands up himself before he goes inside Alpha station, passing Jake, Raven, and Wick, who heads outside.

Anya's group

Anya, Luna, Tris, and Claire walk through the woods. "I didn't think you would bring me?" Tris says.

"Why not? You are my second, and you need experience," Anya says. Tris nods as they walk until they get to a small camp filled with about 15 men. All the men were on the ground with their bodies mangled.

"What the hell?" Claire asks as she looks around. "What did this?"

"Pauna," Luna says as she walks towards the bodies. "They stood no chance,"

"I've heard stories, but I have never seen what they can do," Claire says.

"There is one towards Tondc, but we usually have no problem with it," Anya says to them. "We lose the warrior or two every once in a while," Anya walks over to a track and bends down. "This is a female,"

"How can you tell?" Tris asks as she comes over to her teacher.

"The footprint is smaller. Females have smaller footprints," Anya says.

"I'm glad I don't have to deal with these things," Luna says.

"We should get out of here before it comes back," Claire says. The others nod as they turn around and leave.

Indra's group

Indra, Lincoln, Octavia, and Murphy walk through the woods. "Do you know where we are going?" Murphy asks Indra.

"Yes, there has been news of people being robbed on their way from Polis to Tondc and back. I figure right now is as good as time as any to deal with it," Indra tells him. "They are clanless,"

"That is what we are hunting," Murphy says.

"Do you know how many men?" Octavia asks.

"If the reports I have heard of are true, then about 25," Indra tells him.

"That shouldn't be too hard to deal with," Lincoln says. Indra nods as they walk. Murphy and Octavia hung in the back as Indra and Lincoln walked in the front.

"How do you feel about this?" Octavia asks Murphy.

"I don't like it. They killed our people and are robbing members of Trikru. At least we are doing some good killing them," Murphy says.

"From what I understand, clanless has always been a problem. They steal and sometimes kill," Octavia says.

"That about sums it up," Lincoln says. "They usually have either betrayed their clan in some way or another, or they have something wrong with them. Emori has her hand, and that is why she was cast out. People with different color eyes. Clan leaders will cast them out, and they usually go around or stay in the desert,"

"So what you are saying is that clan leaders are assholes," Murphy says. "They are different. They shouldn't be treated the way they are,"

"It isn't our choice most of the time. Every clan is different, and you know that," Lincoln says. Murphy nods as Indra stop behind some trees.

"They should be just past these trees," Indra says as she pulls out her sword. Murphy nods as he raises his gun. Indra, Octavia, and Lincoln pull out their weapons and move into the pushes. "25," Murphy aims down the site and looks at a cart.

"There are supplies in there," Murphy says. "We'll get those back,"

"Take the shot, Murphy," Lincoln says. Murphy nods as he shoots the first man. After that, the fight stary immediately as Indra, Lincoln, and Octavia leave the bushes and start to fight the men. Murphy stays back and shoots the men. Murphy shoots the last man down and walks over to the others. "There are two horses over there. We should hook the cart up to it,"

"Skaikru can keep the supplies. It will help them more than us," Indra says.

"Thanks," Murphy says as he goes over to the horses and starts to hook them up.

Alpha station

Ontari and Lexa follow Roan into the room, and Ontari stops. "Lena," Ontari says.

"You know her?" Lexa asks.

"Yes, but I thought she was dead. That is what I was told, and nobody has seen her in years," Ontari says. Ontari walks to the chair and sits down. "Nia said you were killed on a mission. What happened?"

"I failed the mission. I wasn't lying when I said Nia kept me locked up. She let me go and told me that she would let me live if I brought you back and spied on Skaikru," Lena says.

"Then why are you telling us this?" Lexa asks.

"Because she knows regardless of it, she completes the mission. My mother will kill her," Roan says. "She doesn't let people who failed her live or give them second chances. She was hoping to trick her," Roan says.

"Let's talk outside," Lexa tells Roan and Ontari, who nods as they follow her out of the room. "What can you tell us about her?"

"She was a spy. Her family died hunting, and she was taken in by the blacksmith. When she was being trained, she stayed in the palace with me. You could say we were close," Ontari says.

"You two were romantically involved?" Roan asks. Ontari nods.

"I think Nia knew, and she sent Lena on a mission, and she was never seen again," Ontari says.

"Do you trust her?" Lexa asks.

"I did then. I don't know about it now," Ontari says. Lexa and Roan nod.

"She will stay in there for now, and tomorrow we will talk to her more. We will decide what to do with them tomorrow," Lexa says. They nod as they walk away. Raven walks into the room that they were using as a gym or a place for people to exercise. She sees Billy punching the bag that they had set up.

"Hey,"

"You were right. I shouldn't have sent them out there, and now Callie is dead," Billy says. "Kane was right too. It was my fault,"

"It is your fault, and I won't tell you anything else because that would be a lie," Raven says.

"How is Kane doing?" He asks.

"He's building a pyre for her. He won't let anybody help him," Raven says. "He almost hit Jake. I think you need to talk to him,"

"I think I am the last person he wants to see," Billy tells her. "If he killed me earlier, I wouldn't have blamed him,"

"He loves you. He was mad, and I think he needs you," Raven says. Billy slowly nods as he walks to the door. He kisses Raven's cheek before he leaves and heads outside. He walks outside and sees Kane building a pyre outside the wall. Billy walks outside, over to Kane, grabs a piece of wood, and puts it on the pyre. Kane looks at him for a moment before he starts to grab more wood.

"I'm-" Kane starts to say.

"Don't I deserved it," Billy tells him. "I sent you all out there and got her killed when I knew I didn't need to. I was scared. When I was stabbed, I thought that was it. That was the end of my life, and when I woke up and found out that some of them were still alive. I just wanted them dead, and I didn't think of anybody else. I let my fear control me, and Callie died because of it,"

"It's hard to remember that you're 18 and the others are still kids. You shouldn't be in the position you are in. You have to lead our people, and you are still young. You shouldn't have to worry about being stabbed or killed. Losing Callie hurt, and it will always hurt, and I lost a part of myself when she died. But I will be okay, and I will keep going if you died from that stab wound. I don't know how I would have dealt with it. You're like a son to me. It will take a little bit for me to forgive you completely. But I will never hate you," Kane says. Billy nods as he hugs Kane.

"Let's get this done," Billy says. Kane nods as they continue to put the wood on the pyre. After they get done with the pyre, Billy and Kane grab Callie and put her on the top.

"In peace, may you leave this shore. In love, may you find the next. Safe passage until our final journey to the ground. May we meet again," Kane says before he lights the pyre up.

"Yu gonplei st odon," Billy says. Kane wraps his arm around Billy as they watch the pyre burn. Lincoln walks to Roan's room and knocks on the door. Roan opens the door and looks at him.

"Hey, Lincoln," Roan says.

"I need you to do me a favor," Lincoln says. "I need you to take over Harper's training. Indra wants me to start trilling the guards on the area and what to expect,"

"Yeah, tell her we start tomorrow," Roan says. Lincoln nods before he walks away. Roan shuts his door and goes to bed. Indra walks to Murphy's room and knocks. Murphy opens the door and looks at the Trikru clan leader.

"Hey, Indra. Are you looking for Octavia?"

"I am. Is she here?" Indra asks.

"No, I think she is helping Lincoln. I think they have broken up," Murphy says.

"Well, I will talk to her later. I want to train you as well as Octavia. You have the spirit of a warrior Murphy," Indra says.

"I'm in," Murphy says. Indra nods before she leaves the room. After Kane said goodbye to Billy, he walked into his room and looked at his mother's tree. He smiles as he gives it water and lays down in bed to go to bed.

A/N Thanks for reading. Next chapter, we finally get back into the show as well as my own stuff, but we get back to Mount Weather. This little story has been fun for me, and I'm excited for what will come next. This part of the story also ends Octavia and Lincoln's relationship. Jaha will be in the chapters more. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
