A.N. — Closing the month with the last of a few drabbles in a row highlighting Black characters from the canon (and I don't mean Sirius' family). I avoided mentioning quidditch with Lee's drabble; this one is focused on it.
59. Angelina Johnson
As she pulled the red and gold uniform off for the last time, Angelina wondered if her quidditch career was finished. She wasn't like Oliver, with an offer to join a pro team straight after graduation. As much as she enjoyed the game itself, she couldn't imagine flying would be as fun if Alicia and Katie weren't there in formation with her.
Slowly, the locker room emptied, and Angelina still sat clutching her robes in her lap — this last remnant of team camaraderie she refused to lose grip on. Sighing, Angelina stood; the still-steaming showers beckoned to cleanse her ills.
