A.N. — Here's the first true main character, and as much as I want to break precedent and do a double drabble here, I will stick with 100 carefully edited words as usual. Happy birthday, Ronald Bilius Weasley. Also, because I posted before 24 hours had elapsed yesterday, please check out Angelina Johnson's drabble the chapter before.
60. Ron Weasley
Ron was formed of hand-me-downs, inheriting all he was (in lesser form) from those who came before.
He had Gryffindor bravery, but Charlie faced dragons daily.
Ron played quidditch, but didn't have the twins' innate instincts.
Chess came easy to Ron, but Bill showed true guile in coexisting with the goblins.
Ron got Percy's old pet and Ginny's short temper, and wished for neither.
His red hair marked him as a Weasley before anyone dug deeper to see what other familial ties he shared — if they looked at all.
But one day, Ron swore, he'd stand on his own merits.
