The Blue Typhoon was flying over a jungle planet. Suddenly an alarm went off. Amy and Tails were on the bridge and heard the alert. Knuckles also heard it from the engine room. Chris and Cream looked up from their cooking in the kitchen. Sonic was in the corridor.

A few minutes later Cosmo and Cream race onto the bridge.

"Our scanners picked up two objects approaching. Dead ahead and closing fast!" Tails said and a 2D radar popped up.

"I see 'em!" Amy said.

There were two blips on the radar. They were Metarex Kingape and Metarex Carrer. The former was carrying the planet's Planet Egg.

"Metarex!" Sonic said.

"It looks like they just stole that Planet Egg." Cosmo said.

"We can't let those two Metarex get away. We're gonna fight 'em to save that Planet Egg!" Tails said.

"Roger!" Amy, Cream and Cosmo said.

Suddenly the ship shook and a Carrer was grappling the ship with its claws.

"Fire the laser cannons!" Tails said.

The dual laser cannons are prepared and fired. However, the laser bounces off.

"It bounced right of!" Cream said.

The claws wrapped around the ship so tightly that it severely damaged the hull.

"It's trying to pull our wings off! We have to do something before it's too late!" Amy said.

"We'll stop it! Load the Sonic Power Cannon!" Tails said.

Chris was in the engine room with Knuckles.

"We're loading it now." Knuckles said.

"Sonic, enter the power cannon to get ready for launch." Chris said.

Above the jungle planet the Sonic Driver was prepared. Sonic ran down the barrel and landed on the spin platform.

"Ready!" he said and started his spin, charging the Sonic Driver.

"Sonic Power Cannon, fire!" Tails said.

The Sonic Driver launched Sonic through Carrer, destroying it in a brilliant explosion. The explosion caused Kingape and the Planet Egg to fall back toward the planet below.

On the bridge the lights were off inside the Blue Typhoon.

"Looks like we knocked out the Metarex. The big one is out of commission, and the Planet Egg's going back where it belongs." Tails said while the girls cheered for Sonic's victory.

"Thanks to Sonic!" Cosmo said.

"Yeah! He was incredible!" Cream said.

"He's a real knockout!" Amy said. "Wait a second! Why isn't he coming back to the ship?"

Everyone looked to Tails, who also sweatdrops.

In the engineering Chris had heard about the situation.

"What's wrong?" Knuckles asked.

"The cannon that launched Sonic out of the ship worked great." Chris said and chuckles. "Unfortunately we launched him too hard, and he couldn't get out of his spin in time to get back to the ship." he said and rubbed the back of his head. "Looks like he's headed straight for the planet."

"It's too bad he's not packin' a parachute."

Knuckles stood there in shock and now a little worried.

'Oh no.' he thought.

"SONIIIIIC!" Amy yelled

On the jungle planet Sonic fell from the atmosphere and landed on something metallic - and hard.

"Aw man... What a trip! I wonder where I- Whoa!" he said and looked up to see a destroyed spacecraft and an unconscious Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe and immediately stood up. "It's Eggman!" he said then saw the green Chaos Emerald, and picked it up. "He found a Chaos Emerald. You don't mind if I borrow this while you're restin', do ya? Heheh! See ya!" he said and took off.

Elsewhere Kingape bent over the destroyed Carrer.

"This loser's definitely out of it. He was supposed to protect me and the Planet Egg." Kingape said but Carrer said nothing. "What am I gonna do now? I'm not built for battle!" he said and stood up.

The Planet Egg was floating nearby.

"What if that ship comes after me? If I don't think of somethin' fast, I'm gonna end up a Meta-wreck!"Kingape said and looked up to see the Blue Typhoon descending toward the planet. "They did follow me here! And they're comin' for the Planet Egg!" he said and looked around, then protectively grasped the Planet Egg. "What should I do? I don't wanna fight, but I can't let them put the Egg back! Wait a sec! Maybe there's a way for me to fight without fighting!" he said and laughed.

On the Blue Typhoon Hangar Tails and Knuckles were inside the X-Tornado. Amy approached them.

"Move over! I'm going with you!" Amy said.

"Stay here, Amy. It's not safe. That smaller Metarex may be out there somewhere." Tails said.

"But I have to find Sonic!" she shouted out.

"Don't worry, Amy. Knuckles and I will find him and bring him back. Chris needs help fixing the ship." Tails said. "Who knows? Maybe Sonic will show up here."

"Tails is trying to tell you that we don't want you getting in our way." Knuckles said a little out of it and worried but trying to hide it.

Tails could tell he was on the edge of having an anxiety attack now and was a little worried about that.

"In your way?!" Amy said.

Tails sweatdrops.

"Come on, Tails. Let's get going." Knuckles said still a little out of it.

"Okay..." Tails said.

"Do not take off!" Amy said.

The Typhoon's catapult took hold of the front wheel of the X-Tornado and pulled the plane forward, and the X-Tornado took off.

"You'll regret this!" she said.

Outside Cream, Cheese, and Cosmo descended the boarding ramp into the forest.

"This is going to be fun! I love to explore new places, don't you, Cheese?" Cream said.

"Chao!" Cheese said.

Cosmo listened to one of the trees.

"The trees are sad. It seems the Planet Egg hasn't been restored yet. I can't leave here until I make sure it is." she said and Cream approached her.

"You mean you're going to go look for the Planet Egg, Cosmo?" Cheese said.

Cosmo nodded.

"Yes."

Amy left the Blue Typhoon and quietly walked past them.

"Amy...?" Cream said.

"Where are you going?" Cosmo asked.

"Where do you think?! I'm gonna go find Sonic?" Amy snapped.

"But didn't Tails and Knuckles take the X-Tornado to look for him?" Cream said.

"I'm not gonna rely on anybody else to find Sonic! I have to go rescue him myself!" Amy said with a shaking fist. "I won't rest 'til I get him back!" she said and walked away.

"Wait!"

"Amy is right. I cannot rely on anyone else either. I won't rest until I hold the Planet Egg in my hand." Cosmo said and looked up with realization.

"But..."

Determined, Cosmo ran after Amy. Cream sweatdrops, taking two glances into the Typhoon.

"Hey, wait for us, Cosmo!" she said and ran after the others.

On the Blue Typhoon Chris was making repairs in the Typhoon working with wires and a small torch.

"Amy, could you hand me a microcircuit, please?" he said but got no answer. "Amy? Cosmo?" he said and saw the corridor was empty. "Where'd they go?" he said then put down the torch and ran to the bridge before typing on a keypad. "I can't believe they even left the ship without telling me!" he said and put on his headphones. "It's Chris calling. Amy, do you read me?" he said on the radio and an indicator read that she was offline. "They forgot to bring their comlinks with them!" he said and typed again, attempting to contact Tails. "This is the Blue Typhoon calling the X-Tornado. Come in!"

"X-Tornado here. What's up, Chris?" Tails said on the radio.

On the X Tornado.

"Amy's gone. So are Cream and Cheese. Cosmo, too." Chris said over the radio.

"Where'd they go, sightseeing?" Knuckles asked.

"You'd better keep your eyes out for them while you're looking for Sonic." Chris said over the radio.

Tails noticed the blue Chaos Emerald glowing.

"The Chaos Emerald's reacting to something!" he said.

"Yeah! That must mean there has to be another Chaos Emerald nearby! Let's find it!" Knuckles said.

On the Blue Typhoon.

"Hang on; I'm gonna make a turn." Tails said over the radi.

"Call you later, Chris! Right now, we're going Emerald hunting!" Knuckles said over the radio.

"See you later."

"Hey Tails, are you there? Come in!" Chris said over the radio. "Great. Sometimes it feels like I'm talking to myself." he said frustrated and took off the headset.

In the Jungle planet Amy, Cosmo, and Cream were looking for Sonic.

"Sonic! Where are you?" Amy said.

Cosmo pushed the bushes out of her way. Suddenly her dress snagged on a branch, and she was slung up into a tree, dangling upside down.

"Cosmo! Are you okay?" she asked as Cheese flew up and freed Cosmo.

She gracefully floated to the ground.

"I'm fine." Cosmo said.

"Maybe you should go back, Cosmo." Amy said wagging her finger. "Leave the searching to me. Somebody as reliant as you doesn't belong out in the wild."

Cosmo shook her head.

"I'm not turning back. Let's keep going." she said and started walking.

"If that's what you want..." Amy said and she and Cream followed Cosmo.

"I'm tired of running away from danger." Cosmo said to herself.

Suddenly she was hit by a flashback - the same dream she had when she landed on Mobius. A younger Cosmo was running down the hall when a nearby wall exploded. There was a Metarex who turned to her.

The terrified Cosmo witnessed a bright flash as the flashback ended.

"I'm not going to stand by while the Metarex destroy another planet." she said to herself and pushed her way through a bush and entered a clearing.

There, in the middle of the clearing, resting on a mound of dirt, was the Planet Egg.

"It's the Planet Egg." she said and Amy and Cream joined her.

"That was easy." Amy said.

"There's something strange about this..." Cream said.

"What do you mean, Cream?"

"How did the Planet Egg land right in the middle of this clearing?"

"That is kinda weird. Almost as if somebody wants us to find it." Amy said with her arms crossed.

"Well, I'm taking it." Cosmo said and was about to step forward, but Amy took hold of her arm.

"I don't think that's a good idea." she said.

"Maybe you're right, Amy, but we have to put it back where it belongs or this planet is finished." she said and walked toward the Planet Egg and bent down.

Amy and Cream cautiously approached. Just as Cosmo was about to touch the Planet egg, a net appeared underneath them, and the tree was slung up in a net and hoisted into the air.

"Hey! Let us go!" Amy said and Kingape emerged from the clearing.

"Now who's the monkey in the middle?" Kingape said and laughed.

"You again!" Cosmo said and he walked toward the Planet Egg and picked it up.

"Sorry to leave you hanging, but I have to leave. I'm heading off to steal your ship now so I can escape with the Planet Egg!" he said and his singular eye twinkled.

Then the three girls were now trapped in a wooden cage and he stared them down.

"You fell right into my trap! I bey you didn't expect I'd be this cagey! I can't take all of the credit, though. My scheme wouldn't have worked if you weren't so gullible." he said

Amy gritted her teeth and grabbed the bars of the cage while Cream wanly smiled.

"Don't blow your cool. We'll find a way out!" Cream said.

"Bye-bye! I'll say hello to your friends for you. If they're as dimwitted as you, I should be doing a victory dance in no time!"

Then with a hooting a laugh, Kingape turned to go.

"I don't think so, you miserable monkey! Sonic's gonna go ape when he hears you caught me!" Amy said and punched the air to emphasize her point.

"Don't go ballistic!" Cream said.

"It's all my fault. I never should have fallen for the Planet Egg trap. Now we've lost the Planet Egg and Sonic." Cosmo said.

Then she heard a pounding sound, and turned to see that Amy had destroyed the cage with her hammer.

"Don't worry, Cosmo."

Cosmo smiled.

"Okay. Thanks, Amy." she said.

Later, they were wading through tall grass.

"We have to find Sonic and warn him before that Metarex traps him too." Amy said.

"Shouldn't we go back to the ship, Amy? We could call Tails and Knuckles for help." Cream said.

"No way! I set out to rescue Sonic all by myself, and that's what we're all gonna do!"

"I promise to be more careful from now on. We'll never save any planets if I don't stop getting us into trouble all the time." Cosmo said.

"This scene sure looks familiar." Amy said.

Up ahead was the Planet Egg in another clearing.

"Looks like another Metarex trap." Cream said.

"Chao chao!" Cheese said.

"Well, we're not gonna let him trick us a second time, are we?" Amy asked with her arms crossed.

"Would it try the same trap twice? Well, there's only one way to find out." Cosmo said and started forward.

"No! Cosmo, don't!"

"Stay back, and if it's a trap, it will only catch me."

Just as Cosmo touched the Planet Egg, nooses appeared around their feet and slung them in the air, Now hanging upside-down in the air, they were holding down their dresses. Kingape appeared from hiding.

"That makes two for two- Huh? Didn't I catch you already? How'd you escape from your cage?" he said.

The vines Amy and Cosmo were tied to started swinging back and forth.

"Get lost! That's our business!" Amy said.

"You fell for the same trap twice? Whoa, you're bigger saps than the trees around here!"

Kingape was puzzled when he saw Cream flying upright with the noose still around her legs, and Cheese crossing his stubby arms. Both were not impressed.

"You know what to do, Cheese!" Cream said.

"Chao chao!" Cheese said and floated into Cream's hand.

"Go get him!" Cream said and threw him as hard as she could at Kingape.

"Chao chaaaaao!" Cheese said and slammed into Kingape with enough force to knock him over

Then he freed the others, and they landed on the ground. Cosmo picked up the Planet Egg.

"Come on!" Amy said and took off running.

The others followed her and soon they were wading through the tall grass.

"Maybe we should go back to the ship, Amy." Cream said.

"No, Cream. That Metarex is still on the loose. I have to find Sonic and warn him!" she said.

'Even though he's been fighting people for so long and pretty much twice as long as me.' she thought.

"You must all be angry with me after the trouble I caused today. I'm so focused on saving the galaxy that I can get reckless sometimes." Cosmos said.

"You got the Planet Egg. I really admire how you never gave up."

Cosmo smiled.

"You do?"

"I know just how you feel, Cosmo. 'Cause when I think Sonic's in danger, I won't give up 'til I know he's safe." she said and stopped. "That's why I won't stop 'til I find him."

"All right, Amy. Then we won't give up either!" Cream said.

"Chao!" Cheese said.

"And I'm with you too, Amy." Cream said. "Then after we find Sonic, we can work together to make sure to get the Planet Egg back where it belongs."

"That's great!" Cosmo said.

Suddenly a ball of vines flew in from nowhere, sending her and the Planet Egg flying in different directions.

"Cosmo!" they said as the Planet Egg landed in Kingape's open hands.

"That was too easy!" Kingape said.

"Not so fast!" Cosmo said.

He saw Amy and Cream behind him, and Cosmo floating down to a nearby tree.

"They got me surrounded!" he said.

As Cosmo descended the tree, she picked as many fruits as she could and hurled them at Kingape. Two of the fruits hit him squarely in the face, blinding his singular eye.

"I can't see!"

Amy took this opportunity to smash Kingape with her hammer.

The impact caused him to spin around for times before falling over. The girls quickly took this opportunity to escape, but Kingape cut them off.

"Hold it right there!" Kingape said.

Amy ran in a different direction, pulling Cream with her.

"This way!" Amy said.

But, the three of them accidentally fell into a hole which was covered by grass. Even Cheese fell in andKingape danced a victory dance.

"Yeah! I did it! I'm on a roll! "

But Cream flew Amy and Cosmo out of the pit while Cheese carried the Planet Egg out. Kingape did a double take.

"Give it all you got, girls!" Amy said.

"Roger!" Cosmo and Cream said.

Cream swung Cosmo and Cream with all her might. Amy summoned her hammer, and they spun towardKingape. Her hammer collided with Kingape, sending it flying far away. Then they land on the ground.

"All right!" Cream said.

"When we all work together, we're unstoppable!" Amy said and shared a high five.

Meanwhile Sonic was running with the Chaos Emerald and stopped when he heard the X-Tornado.

'Perfect!' he thought.

"Sonic!" Tails said and the X-Tornado stopped in midair.

"Hi, Tails. Look! Got a little present for ya!" Sonic said.

"He's got another Emerald." Knuckles said.

"Stay there! We're comin' down to pick you up." Tails said.

The X-Tornado changed to the X-Cyclone and prepared to land. Suddenly, several claws came from nowhere. They took the Chaos Emerald from Sonic and wrapped around the X-Cyclone, causing it to crash. It was Eggman and his Egg Bee. Hovering in his Eggmobile, Eggman laughed.

"Eggman!" Sonic said.

"I'm taking that Emerald back, Sonic. I found it first, so it belongs to me." Eggman said.

"But if it wasn't for the Metarex, I'd still have 'em all!" he said.

"According to my rules, it's stealers keepers, Sonic!" Eggman said.

Decoe and Bocoe loaded the Chaos Emerald into a hatch in the Egg Bee.

"Retrieval operation complete. The Emerald is secure." Decoe said.

"Time to power up!" Bocoe said.

The Egg Bee used the Chaos Emerald's power to turn red. Knuckles leapt out of the X-Cyclone, ready to take on Eggman. Amy, Cream, and Cosmo ran in with Kingape hot on their trail.

"I'm not monkeying around this time!" Kingape said.

The girls leapt into the air to escape from Kingape. Amy used Eggman for leverage, while Cream and Cosmo bounced off the heads of Decoe and Bocoe.

"What the...?" Bocoe and Decoe said.

Kingape crushed the two hench-bots in his pursuit. The girls ran right past Sonic and Knuckles, but when Amy noticed Sonic, they stopped.

"Sonic!" Amy said and Kingape skid to a halt.

"No! Now they're all gonna gang up against me!" he said.

Amy threw herself at Sonic, hugging and kissing him.

"Sonic! I've been looking all over for you!" she said.

'This is twice as bad as Sonia and Knuckles when we got mom!' he thought.

"This isn't a kissing booth!" Sonic said.

Cosmo lifted the Planet Egg into the air.

"Look, everybody! We found the Planet Egg. Isn't that fantastic?" she said

Knuckles looked confused.

"Take it easy." he said waving his hand.

"I'm not a trampoline! Nobody goes hopping on my head and gets away with it!" Eggman said.

"Activating attack mode!" Decoe and Bocoe said.

The Egg Bee extended three of its claws down and pluck Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Tails, Cosmo, and Cream from off the ground. Even Kingape was grabbed.

"Let me go! I'm battling against the hedgehog and his friends too!" Kingape said.

"No way. I won't work with anyone who looks like he belongs in a zoo!" Eggman said.

Cosmo closed her eyes and focused as the Planet Egg unleashed its power. The trees started to grow huge, even entangling with the Egg Bee.

"What's going on?"

"The energy from the Planet Egg is making the vegetation grow faster!" Tails said.

The vines pried the claws loose and wrapped around the Mobians and Seedrian.

"It's growing like crazy!" Knuckles said.

"These vines sure are clingy, aren't they?" Amy said.

"Let me go!" Sonic said and the vines entangled everyone and everything.

On the Typhoon Chris was prompted to put his headset back on and contact the others.

"This is the Blue Typhoon." Over. he said but heard gibberish on the other end. "Hold on! Calm down and try to talk one at a time!"

Back in the jungle planet.

"Bocoe, start pruning these plants now!" Eggman said and Decoe and Bocoe attempted to cut the vines.

"They are growing too fast, Doctor!" Bocoe said.

"Cosmo, what's wrong?" Amy asked.

"I can't control the Planet Egg! I'm sorry!" Cosmo said.

The vines extended into the sky. Just then Chris in his spaceship arrived.

"Hang on, guys!" he said.

"It's Chris!" Sonic said.

"Almost..." Tails said trying to reach for something in the X-Tornado and got the Chaos Emerald out of the X-Tornado.

"Got it! Catch, Sonic!" he said and tossed the Emerald to Sonic, who caught it.

"Nice work, Tails!" he said and used the Emerald's power to spin free of the vine.

"Sonic, heads up!" Chris said and fired a rocket changing into a bright light striking Sonic's shoes.

He was now wearing soap shoes and them to ride down a giant vine toward a terrified Eggman, Decoe, andBocoe. Sonic then destroyed the Egg Bee, throwing the three and the Eggmobile into the air.

Then he leapt up and caught the falling green Chaos Emerald then they were still bound by the vines.

"Sorry to leave ya hangin'." he said.

The Planet Egg Floated out of Cosmo's grasp moved under the surface of the planet, and waved of energy traverse the entire planet. The vines loosened their grasp on their captors, and everyone fell or floated to the ground. Amy dusted herself off.

"No wonder I don't like gardening." she said.

"What a botanical nightmare." Kingape said.

"Get lost, pal." she said and everyone started down at Kingape.

The Metarex sweatdrops started rubbing the back of its head.

"I couldn't stop myself from tricking you. I was programmed for monkey business." he said and bowed. "I'm really sorry! I learned my lesson!" he said and saw Sonic with the Chaos Emerald. "Ah, what a beautiful Emerald!"

Then he tried to grab it from him, but he darted out of the way before returning to Kingape's side.

"I'm not that slow, buddy." he said.

Kingape slowly turned to the others and Sonic, Amy, and Tails looked more than ready for a fight.

"This mission... is drivin' me bananas!" he said and was blown up by the three of them.

Later on the bridge Tails and Cosmo had placed the green and blue Chaos Emeralds on a small table and Sonic was getting some rest after getting two with him.

He was getting stronger after having three Chaos Emeralds now.

"Only four more to go." he said.

"I'm sure we'll get them all back." she said happy.

"You think so, Cosmo?"

"You bet! Today I learned that if we all work together, anything is possible."

"Chao chao!" Cheese said.

Amy, Cream, and Cosmo looked out the window together as the Blue Typhoon cruised on to the next destination.
