Chapter 55
Time for Music! Let's Rock, Part 2!
"Hello every and welcome back." Lois Lane said to the camera with a smile "We return to Jump City. This is the first ever Titans charity concert for the assistance of the recent Metropolis tragedy. As far as now, we do not know if this will be a one time event. But we at the Daily Planet believe that it does not matter, as we now get to show our support to these brave heroes while doing a good dead towards helping our city. Oh, here they are!"
Up on stage the performers returned and took their spots as the crowd celebrated
James got up front and center, slipping his guitar into place "Hey everyone, enjoy your break?" he laughed
The crowed cheered once again, making the Titans smile
Vic and Dick grabbed their guitars. Nightwing having lead guitar while Vic grasped his base
"That's good, we are really sorry for the wait! But we are back!" James assured "But, you know, we need food and a break like everyone else!"
Garth took his place at the drums once more, glad they made sure he had a good amount of air conditioning around him
Rachel got to her keytar and hummed softly, glad she didn't have her cloak... but also kinda upset about it
Out front on a min-stage, Cassandra and Duela took their places for their dancing
"Okay guys! So... We all know we don't always get along." James commented "But. It's our differences that make us stronger." He continued "And so... let's do this every one!"
Garth took one last gulp of water and began to start the rhythm, with Raven pressing her keys.
"Yeah, yeah!" the girls sang together
The music was a bit of a techno-pop mix but not so much that it wasn't any less rock and roll. Since Nightwing was giving a cool guitar riff.
"Got myself a notion. One, I know that you'll understand. Set the world in motion; by reaching out for each other's hands. Maybe we'll discover, what we should've known all along. One way or another, together's where we both belong." James continued to sing
"If we listen to each other's hearts!" James and Dick sang together.
"We'll find we're never too far apart." James continued on his own.
"And ma~ybe love is the reason why!" The two harmonised once again "For the first time ever, we're seeing eye to eye."
The crowd cheered and danced lightly with the tune
Nightwing raised his guitar and started to riff on it, before lowering it down.
"If a wall should come between us. Too high to climb, too hard to break through. I know, that love will lead us. And find a way to bring me to you." James continued on "So don't be in a hurry, think me before you count us don't have to worry, I won't ever let you down."
"Nothing's gonna stop us now~!" Kori and Kom sang together.
Kori, Kom and James all sang together in harmony as they sang "If we listen to each other's hearts. We'll find we're never too far apart. And maybe love is the reason why for the first time ever; we're seeing eye to eye~."
"Seeing it eye to eye~" Kori and Kom backed up "Yes, we are."
James grinned happily, remembering where this song came from. From sisters and family, how they didn't always got along. But when they did... magic happened. All their time together. Their adventures. Their love for each other. Their future as parents "If you're ever lonely~, stop. You don't have to be. After all is stolen, I'll beat a way from you to me." James continued
"Take a look and see, yeah." Both Kori and Kom harmonised.
"If we listen to each other's hearts. We'll find we're never too far apart. And maybe~ love is the reason why~, for the first time ever, we're seeing eye to eye~."
"Seeing it eye to eye. Seering it eye to eye." Both Kori and Kom, followed by James "For the first time. For the first time. Seeing it, seeing it baby, yeah for the first time. Yeah, seeing it eye to eye. Eye to eye, yeah!"
And the crowed cheered
"Eye to eye! Eye to eye, eye to eye, eye to eye" The girls finished
"YEAH~!" James cheered as they finished the song.
The crowd cheered in joy, clapping
James looked to his friends and flexed his fingers, ready to play the next song. But first... "Guys?" he asked the group, seeing if anyone wanted a message for the crowed

"Huh?" he blinked and looked down, seeing Cass was poking his chin "You got a message?"
Cass nodded and turned to her.
"Okay." James nodded and handed the microphone to her
"Next song. Is for my boyfriend." she said into the microphone "And being side by side."
ZOOM!
Suddenly Bart was next to her and dipped her, kissing her deeply, before setting her on her feet and rushing backstage again. The crowed wooped and cheered at that, seeing Kid Flash appear on stage for a few moments and make out with the Batwoman of Gotham
Oh, the tabloids where ready to have so much to talk about with this one
Nightwing inhaled sharply before exhaling slowly to calm himself down. Pretty much the same reaction Bruce had with Harley up on the Watchtower... while Harley was giggling wildly
"Shut up." Bruce sighed.
"Why?" she asked innocently
"Just... Please don't gush over it." He asked
We return to the stage as James laughed, taking the mic back "Everything alright for you tonight?" He asked the crowd "Time for a Fist Bump!"
Raven held her keytar and began to press them for the effect, which Garth began to beat the drums.
"I can't do this alone, even though I am strong. Need something more than me, someone to push me to victory!" James began to sing with his fingers on the strings "Let's see what we can do. Together, me and you. Can't be afraid to try."
Dick interjected and sang in time "Kiss your fear goodbye."
"No looking back! You and I were on the attack. Full speed ahead! Running to the sunset." James sang passionatly
"Such a different feeling~! Both of us believing~!" Argent sang
"We can make it better!" James gave a quick blast of chords on his guitar out of excitement "Together, we can show the world what we can do! You are next to me and I'm next to you. Push me on through until the battle's won~! No one's gonna give a thing to us. Into each other, we put our trust. Standing united, after the fight. A~ll alone. We will never be. The two~ of us. Are holding the key, we've seen today. A world we could have seen. Before I say goodbye to you, one more last fist bump!"
The music turned somber for a moment, the stage slowly turning dark... before the lights suddenly exploded brightly, Kori and Kom shooting into the sky
"I know you have been afraid before. But you don't have to be anymore." Argent began to sing "No more emptiness to feel inside. When we run together, no-one..."
"Can break up our stride!" James and Argent sang in harmony.
"No looking back, you and I, we're on the attack. Full speed ahead! Running to the sunset!" James continued as he played expertly on his guitar "Such a different feeling, both of us believing. We can make it better." He gripped his guitar, and preformed some quick and rapid strums "Together we can show the world what we can do! You are next to me and I'm next to you! Push me on through until the battle's won~! No-one's gonna give a thing to us, into each other we put our trust. Standing united after the fight is done~."
Garth and Raven gave an instrumental which James and Dick continued to rock out with their guitars, making the audience bounce in joy.
"We can show the world what we can do! You are next to me and I'm next to you! Pushing on through. Until the battle's won~! No-one's gonna give a thing to us. Into each other, we put our trust! Standing united after the fight!"
Out back Bart was hard at work, keeping the lights hard at work
"Are you okay?" Garfield asked
"I'mfine!" He sped around with an eager laugh
"Well, as long as you're okay." Garfield responded. "Jinx, Karen?"
"Can you check the speakers?" Jinx asked, making sure the systems where all good "Don't want any of the wired knocked loose or the speaker tower falling over."
"You got it!" Garfield gave a thumbs up and checked.
"Alright! I'm glad everyone is having fun!" James called "Now... This next song." James' hand clenched his guitar softly, taking a deep breath "Is for all those we've met. Those precious to us, our heroes... and those we have not met yet, those we will be the heroes for." He smiled... before Garth gave an explosive and fast-paced drum-beat with the guitarists almost immediately following it up
"What am I to be? What is my calling? I gave up giving up, I'm rea~dy to go! The future's left unseen. It all depends on me. Put it on the line to fo~llow my dream. Yeah! Tried all my li~fe, I've tried to find. Something that makes me hold on and ne~ver let go! Ohh~!"
"Hero too! I am a hero too!" the girls sang together
James closed his eyes as he sang, remembering... everything "My heart is set~ and I won't back down!" James sang. His father, he was his hero. He protected him and his family, he... he was just so amazing! Funny, heroic and kind. Wise and he refused to never give up. Part of James always thought he would live in his father's shadow...
"Hero too~, strength doesn't make a hero!" Kori and Kom sang together as they flew around the arena, making a glowing green and purple halo in the sky
Wally looked upwards with his eyes sparkling. He wasn't the first Flash, Jay was amazing but... his Hero was his Uncle Barry. The second Flash, the kindest man he had ever known
"True heroes~! Stand up for what they believe!" Argent sang powerfully
Tim gripped his donation bucket tightly. Dick, Jason. Those where his kids. The two Robin's. Both fought for justice, for what they believed, despite their ages when they started
"So wait and see~! So wait and see~!" the three girls sang together
"What do they think of me? Who do they think I'll be?" James sang as he preformed his head bobbing. For years he felt like he would live in his fathers shadow, but Ben never thought that of James. Ben always knew James would grow to be a strong man... "I could not care less, I don't wanna know~! Am I doing right~? Am I satisfied~?" I wanna live my life like it's meant to be!"
"Yeah~!" the girls sang together as the sisters shot Starbolt's into the sky, making small firewalls
Holly, Hank and Dawn all held hands tightly, remembering... remembering Don, their dead brother. Their hero, a man who would happily sacrifice himself for anyone without hesitation
"Tried all my life I've tried to find, Something that makes me hold on and never let go!" James continued to sing passionately. His father always believed in him and here, in this new world, he had a chance to strike out on his own. He had met friends, made a name for himself
Rachel threw her hands into the air, launching some more lights into the sky. Golden Anti-Light joining the green and purple fireworks
"OHH~! Hero too! I am a hero too. My heart is se~t and I won't back down. Hero too! Strength doesn't make a hero. True hero~es stand up for what they believe! So wait and see~." James sang deeply and passionatly
The crowed where all swaying and cheering to the dance, smiling
Dick played passionately, looking up to where the League where watching. Looking at Bruce, his hero. His father. The man who took him in and treated him like his own
Cass glanced over her shoulder as she danced. At Her father and hero, smiling at Nightwing
The music slowed down and became slightly more somber, Garth keeping up the beat. He looked up at the League and spotted Aquaman. He couldn't help but grin as his Hero, his King, was smiling proudly down at him
"People will judge for no reason at all." James sang as he stopped playing and held the microphone, looking out sadly at the crowed "Yeah they might try, To say your dreams dumb, don't listen!"
The music began to pick up again as James began to take several steps back, making sure the the small mic on his jacket was on as was it's wireless mode was on, as was his guitar's
"They may look down on me and count me out! I'm going my own way!" he he continued to sing passionately... while he ran at the crowed, making them gasp in concern as he jumped "They may look down on me and count me out! I'm a hero, I've got music~!"
There was a flash of yellow... and James took flight, zooming over the crowed in his Nechrofriggeon form, which had everyone gasping in wonder at the beauty. Especially as he fluttered his wings, sparkling snow falling over the crowed in a beautiful display
"Hero too, I am a hero too!" James sang as he flew over the crowed, giving Blue Beetle a high five as he passed "My heart is set and I won't back down! Hero too strength doesn't make a hero!"
"True heroes~ stand up for what they believe!" Kori and Kom sang as they spiraled around James, making a beautiful sky display of snow mixed with green and purple light
Superboy looked up and held his heart. His Hero, Superman. An impossible legacy to replicate... but he'd do his best.
Wondergirl smiled as she thought of Donna and Diana, the first Wondergirl and her mentor Wonder Woman. Her heroes, and who she wanted to live up to
Suddenly James and the sisters zoomed back to the stage, landing with a small shockwave of icy air. When it faded...
"Yeah I'll be!" James called confidently, in his human form again as he blew the mist away and the stage's lights went wild
Bart was sprinting around back stage, sweating and grinning. His mentor, the one before Wally, would be proud of him. Max Mercury, the Zen Master of Speed, would be so proud of the man he had became
"Hero too, I am a hero too!" James, Kori and Kom sang as Argent walked forwards, joining the group as James span her around lightly making her grin and laugh "My heart is set and I won't back down!"
"Hero too, strength doesn't make a hero!" the four sang together
"True heroes stand up for what they believe!" Argent sang solo quickly, smiling at her Hero, before she let him keep playing
"So wait and see!" Dick and Vic sang together
"I have met so many heroes in my life!" James sang as he thought of... everyone. The Justice League, every Titan, his own father and every Plumber "Gave me the strength and courage to survive!" He looked out at the crowed, feeling hope and pride as he spotted all of them "Gave me the power to smile every day!" He saw them, the new heroes. The newest Teen Titans, the members of Titan's Unlimited. The next generation, ready to learn and be trained. James pointed forwards, singing to everyone present "Now it's my turn to be the one to make you smile!" he sang his lungs out. He did a final slash along his guitar strings before he backed up and danced with the three girls
Down front Cass and Duela where dancing as well, grinning and laughing together, as the music slowed down
The song ended with a final few powerful cords from the bass, Vic giving the last few powerful notes
The crowd were weeping in joy, feeling their souls elevated as they saw James and heard the melody of the Titans raise their spirits.
The exploded in tear filled cheers, clapping at the amazing song
The band panted as the lights and cheers overwhelmed them... but they still had one song left to play.
"Okay everyone, you enjoy tonight?" James asked
The crowd gave a deafening cheer, a congratulatory 'Yes!' as they cheered for the Titans and their gift to Metropolis.
"Alright. So, now I've got a few questions." James smiled "Have we got any Cyberian fans in the house?"
Cheers from at least half the crowd, with some people from buildings that this was being broadcasted to cheered too.
"Haha!" Vic cheered
"What about Raven fans?" James grinned
A loud cheer came for Raven, almost the same came from people around the audience. It was warming her heart to see this many people cheering for her... her fans.
"What about Starfire?"
Kori gave a polite wave at the crowd, the cameras were trained on each one as James gave their name. Which the crowd cheered once again.
"Blackfire?"
Another roar of people, this one clearly even louder than the others with a much heavier male focused fanbase
"Thank you! Thank you!" the older sister called with a wave
"Nightwing?" James asked with a chuckle
And almost like an exact opposite, the female-focused fanbase cheered for him... probably for his abs and butt... Mainly his butt
Dick gave a slight chuckle at that and a blush
"Changling?" James asked next
A lot of 'dudebro' type voices cheered next
"Nice." Garfield nodded
"Ah, I see. I see." James nodded "What about Jinx?"
These cheers where more teen orientated, but very mixed in gender
"Hehe." Jinx blushed back stage
"How about the Harleyquinn?" James asked next
"WHOO!" Some of the people cheered as Duela saw the people cheering for her.
She waved, bowing lightly
"What about our Bumblebee? Any fans of hers out there?" James smiled
There were some people out there, mostly like Jinx's fans. Mixed-gender and teens.
"Okay, and Terra? Any love of the magical rock girl?" James asked cheerfully
You could hear the thundering claps of people, reminiscing an earthquake for her. Out of respect of course. And, far across the continent. A pair of princes were cheering for their little sister.
"Wow..." Terra blinked in shock
"Heh, knew she was popular!" James laughed "Okay, okay! So, what about the New Teen Titan's wonderful leader? How many Argent fans are there?"
The people cheered for the angelic singing Titan, chanting her name as she saw the crowd cheering for her "ARGENT! ARGENT! ARGENT!"
"Thank you all." she laughed nervously
"And what about our awesome drummer? Come on, surly some of you like the AquaLad? Right?" James joked
The crowd cheered as Garth gave a quick flourish on the drums to get the crowd hyped again. Which actually worked and gave them a smile.
"Say... Is Kid Flash even popular?" James joked, and laughed as Cass chopped at his leg playfully "Ah-ha!" He limped jokingly as Bart quickly got on stage and bowed, getting some cheers from the crowd also.
"Thanks everyone!" he yelled as loud as he could, before he kissed Cass again, making the crowed cheer again
"Well!" James laughed "Since we are on the subject, what about Batwoman? And fans of hers out there?"
"Me! Me! Memememe!" Bart said cheerfully
James chuckled, Dick just facepalmed and shook his head...while on the Watchtower, Harley was clapping, and the crowned cheered
"And what about Rav-sorry, I forgot. She changed her name. What about Renegade?" James called out
And an image of Rose came on the big screen, where she was looking proud... but she was blushing nervously as people chanted her name. The screen showed her near the back of the crowed, the one in charge of security. And everyone nearby turned to her and either clapped or shook her hands
"And that just leaves... Titans Unlimited." James began, the screen quickly showing images of the current student team members "Robin, Superboy, Wondergirl, Jeriko, Variant, Firestorm, Stargirl, Blue Beetle, Green Lantern, Speedy, Phantasm and Static!"
The younger Titans looked in shock at their pictures and the cheers they received. They all looked around, amazed that the older team thought they where worthy of this... and in awe that the crowed, the people of the world, loved them as much as the older crew. Well, as much was probably an exaggeration but it was close
"Good to know you like everyone."James smiled"So, it is time for our finale!"
"Hold on a second man." Vic suddenly said and walked up, hand going to James shoulder
"Yeah, aren't you forgetting someone?" Dick grinned as he did the same
"I... don't think so." James blinked, feeling a bit panicked and upset as he began to go through all the members of the team in his head "No, that was everyone."
"Actually, you did forget one person." Argent smirked
"Everyone!" Kori called out
"On the count of three, if you like Jay 10, let out a cry of 'Hero Time! Okay?" Kom called, making the crowd cheer
"Guys, this isn't necessary." James laughed with a blush
"Here we go!" Garth called, doing a drum roll
"One!" Vic and Dick called
"Two!" Kori and Kom added
"THREE!" Argent and Raven called together
James closed his eyes, expecting nothing, but...
"HERO TIME!"
The cry filled the air, James' eyes slowly opening as he looked out in shock
"One! Two! Three!"
"HERO TIME!" Holly, Dawn and Hank cheered as loudly as they could, joining the wall of voices

"HERO TIME!" the members of Titans Unlimited and the other Titans within the crowd cheered alongside everyone

"HERO TIME!" the Justice League joined in from their spot atop a building, watching the event from on high

"HERO TIME!" the crowed cheered again, including the likes of Cheshire from her random hide away in a random country. Although she said in calmly and with a smirk

His eyes where sparkling softly at what was happening. His music, his love and friendship, had brought joy to everyone here. He rubbed the base of his hand against his eyes, holding back the tears that were leaking out.
"I-Okay everyone. It-Its time for our final song of the evening."

James gave a small stroke of a 'dead chord', before nodding to Raven with a smile... who began to play her keytar.
"Titans!" James called into his mic
"Together!" every Titan in the area cheered as one, and the music really kicked up as the song started up
Garth gave a flourish on his drums and smiled as the song began to kick up.
"When there's trouble, you know who to call!" James sang
"Teen Titans!" the girls added
"From their tower, they can see it a~ll!" James sung
"Teen Titans!" the girls sing again. The crowd cheered and danced to the tune, smiling
"When there's evil, in the attack! You can rest, knowing they've got your back!" James continued to sing "'Cause when the world needs heroes on patrol~!"
"Teen Titans, Go!" the team called together
Vic continued to give an awesome riff on his bass, getting the crowd jumping to the beat.
"With their super powers, they unite~."
"Teen Titans!" they cried together
"Never met a villain that they liked!" James sang, his eyes flicking backstage as he laughed
"Teen Titans!" they called, the crowd joining in this time as well
The group couldn't keep their grins off their faces, this was just... So much fun!
"They've got the bad guys on the run. They never stop until the job gets done. 'Cause when the world's losing all control~!" James sang
"Teen Titans, GO!" they cried as one
Victor once again took the lead, giving a great bass solo.
"Teen Titans, GO!" The girls repeated as they let Victor rock out.
"If your heart is black, you better watch out. You cannot escape the Team. When they catch you, there won't be any doubt. You've been beaten by the te~e~e~ns. Beaten by the te~e~e~ns." James sang powerfully
"T-E-E-N. T-I-T-A-N-S. TEEN. TI-TANS. LET'S GO!" The girls sang in a chorus "T-E-E-N!" the girls sang, before James held the microphone towards their audience
"T-I-T-A-N-S!" the crowd cheered together
"TEEN. TI-TANS." the group snag together before pointing the microphone at the crowd once more
"LET'S GO!" they called together
James was grinning at the crowd, seeing how happy they all where
The group continued on their instrumental section, with the group almost rocking out with instruments.
"When there's trouble, you know who to call~!" James called out
"From their tower, they can see it all!" Raven sang, unable to help herself
"Teen Titans!" The girls sang
"When there's evil on the attack!" James sang as he looked out at his family, as they played as one
"You can rest knowing they got your back!" Dick sang, giving his own little flurry
"'Cause when the world needs heroes on patrol~!" Vic sang deeply with his booming voice
"Teen Titans, go!" the group sang together "Teen Titans, go!"
"One!" Dick called out
"Two!" Victor added
"Three!" Raven added
"Four!" Kori, Kom and Toni sang together
"Go!" James called
"Teen Titans!" they and the audience called as one
BOOM!
Fireworks and confetti coming from the stage, ending on a high note. Everyone cheered happily and clapped at the performance
"THANK YOU METROPOLIS! GOODNIGHT!" James called through the microphone and was met with one last cheer
The group left, bowing gently to the crowd before leaving to backstage.
"And there we have it folks, the charity concert appears to have just come to an end." Lois Lane said to the camera, yelling over the cheers. She was speaking with a wide grin "And it appears to have been a very big success!"
Jimmy gave a thumbs up and smiled while filming Lois.
"It seems the Titans have brought hope to this city and around the world for this effort." Lois continued with a smile "I shall repeat the statement I made during the break. We do not know if this will be a one time event or it will become an annual event, but we at the planet will continue to support these heroes whichever way they chose. These brave men and women who have risked their lives for us deserve our respect, and we can now show them our thanks by helping them restore our city. This is Lois Lane, signing off. Titans, Together."
"And~ clear." Jimmy nodded
"Whoo!" She sighed in relief. "What a cycle."
"How many people do you think were recording the footage?" Jimmy chuckled
"Almost everyone?" She laughed. "C'mon, let's get some drinks."
"Right, what about your daughter?" Jimmy nodded
"She's coming to, she can legally drink." Lois rolled her eyes before she called out "Come on Mia, we are going to a bar before going back to the hotel!"
ZOOM!
"Hi, mum!" Mia smiled; she was a blue-eyed black-haired woman with a slender figure and D-Cup breasts, wearing a pair of shorts with a self-made 'Titans T-Shirt'.
"What're you wearing?" Lois asked
"... Quick made shirt?" She asked. She rubbed her neck softly with a grin
"My girl." Lois chuckled and shook her head "... what did I say about powers in public?" she added
"No-one saw me." She apologised. "Sorry."
"It's okay. Let's go." Lois smiled
*up on the rooftops*
"That was very good." Diana nodded and clapped softly
"You were cheering your brains out, it was better than 'very good'." Wally chuckled as he hugged her
