Chapter 60: Tree of Might

It was another peaceful day for our heroes.

Currently, the entire Briefs family were gathered together.

Goku, Raditz and Vegeta were watching Gohan as he played with Madison, Goten and Trunks. Videl and Erasa were visiting and playing with the kids as well.

Bardock and Gine were sitting on top of the building together, enjoying the quiet moment.

Bulma, Maron and Tights were helping Panchy cook lunch.

But then, at that very moment, they all felt a large power level enter the atmosphere!

Goku looked to Raditz and Vegeta and said, "we can't get a single day, can we?"

Raditz sighed and said, "let's see what the Hell we have to deal with this time…."

Goku and the others gathered into the front yard as a spaceship landed in front of them.

Bulma, Tights and Maron held Goten, Trunks and Madison.

Bardock, "I feel something in that ship. Something…. Familiar?"

Gine, "me too."

The door to the ship opened up, and they saw a hand stick out of the door and yelled, "wait! We come in peace!"

Raditz, "wait…. I know that voice! Turles?!"

Turles poked his head out of the ship and said, "Raditz?!"

Raditz smiled as he ran to his older cousin.

Bardock and Gine looked surprised, while Goku looked confused.

Turles hugged his cousin and said, "I haven't seen you since Planet Vegeta was blown up!"

Raditz smiled and replied, "it's great to see you alive!"

Turles then saw Gine and Bardock.

Turles, "Uncle Bardock! Aunt Gine!"

Gine, "Turles! We're so happy to see you alive!"

Turles chuckled, and then he saw Goku and Gohan.

Turles, "who are they?"

Bardock smiled and said, "well, we found your cousin. Kakarot, but he goes by Goku now. And this is his family. His wife Bulma."

Bulma waved hello.

Bardock, "your second cousins, Gohan and Goten."

Gohan waved and Goten giggled.

Bardock, "the two girls are Gohan's girlfriends, Videl and Erasa."

Videl and Erasa waved and said, "hello."

Gine, "Bulma's Tights and her son Trunks, and their husband and father-"

Turles, "Vegeta?!"

Vegeta waved and said, "hey Turles."

Gine, "and finally, Raditz' wife Maron, and daughter; Madison."

Maron waved as Madison tried to babble a hello.

Turles, "it's so amazing to meet all of you."

Goku, "and it's great to finally meet my cousin."

Turles, "well, after seeing all of this, I'm happy to say it ain't just me who's arrived!"

Everyone looked to see Bonyu exit the ship.

Gine and Bardock, "Bonyu?!"

Bonyu smiled and said, "Bardock! Gine!"

The two Saiyans hugged their old friend as she said, "me and the others in the ship heard your introductions. So we have our own."

Bonyu stepped aside and said, "kids, c'mon out!"

Cabba, Caulifla and Kale stepped out.

Kale said, "mom, we aren't kids anymore!"

Bonyu chuckled and said, "everyone, meet Kale, Caulifla and Cabba. We adopted them when we fled Planet Vegeta."

The others all greeted the Saiyan trio.

And next, Boynu said, "Vegeta, can you step forward?"

Vegeta nodded as he, Tights and Trunks came forward.

And out of the ship came-

Vegeta, "Tarble?!"

Tarble smiled and said, "hey bro."

Vegeta smiled and hugged his long lost brother.

Tarble put his arm around Kale and said, "I'm glad you found love bro. Same as me."

Kale blushed as Tarble mentioned that.

Vegeta smiled and said, "this is my wife Tights, and my son Trunks. Your nephew."

Tarble smiled as he tried to tickle his nephew's chin, but the infant bit his finger.

Tarble cringed as he pulled his finger away and said, "cute little booger."

Turles, "and finally, Bardock and Gine?"

Bardock and Gine looked at one another for a minute before stepping forward.

Bonyu and Turles smiled as they watched Fasha step out of the ship.

Bardock and Gine, "Fasha?!"

Fasha smiled and said, "hey guys. Miss me?"

Bardock and Gine ran forward and hugged Fasha tightly, both of them kissing her on the cheek.

Bardock, "we thought we'd never see you again!"

Fasha smiled and said, "same here."

Fasha kissed both of them, surprising the others for a moment.

Fasha saw Gohan holding hands with Videl and Erasa and said, "heh, I guess it runs in the family, eh?"

Gine, "are there any other surprises?"

Fasha, "just one. Cassa!"

Everyone looked confused before they saw Cassa exit the ship.

Bardock, "who are you?"

Cassa smiled and said, "hi…. Dad."

Bardock grew wide-eyed, as did Gine, Goku and Raditz.

Fasha, "Bardock, meet your daughter, Cassa."

Bardock, "I have a daughter?!"

Cassa smiled as she hugged her father, who hugged her back warmly.

Bardock looked to his sons and said, "these are your half-brother's. Raditz and Goku."

Cassa smiled as she ran forward and hugged her brothers!

Cassa, "it's so amazing to finally meet you!"

Goku and Raditz couldn't help but smile as they hugged their newly discovered sister.

As the hug ended, Turles then said, "now with all of that said, we've got something big to tell all of you."

Bulma asked, "what, a giant, evil tree of might?"

Caulifla, "yes, actually."

Okay, they were now even more confused.

….

Later, everyone sat down as Turles and the others explained why they came to Earth.

Turles, "after Bonyu and I left with Kale, Cabba and Caulifla, we found Fasha and Tarble soon after. We fled, and eventually found ourselves joining a pirate gang. Over the years, I somehow managed to work my way up, leading them. But then, a few weeks ago, we learned of their plan. They hated how we became more peaceful when I took over, and wanted to go back to plundering worlds."

Bonyu, "and they plan to do so with their latest find; The Tree of Might."

Goku, "what's the Tree of Might?"

Tarble, "a tree that, after it is planted, it uses the life of the planet to grow. More than a day after being fully grown, it produces fruit that can increase someone's power immensely."

Raditz, "sounds useful."

Tarble, "indeed it is."

Kale, "but after more than a day afterwards, the tree continues to suck the life out of the planet, until it's left as nothing more than a barren and lifeless world."

Vegeta, "let us guess, their next stop is…?"

They all said, "Earth."

Fasha, "that's why we came here. To help you, in addition to finally reuniting with our friends and family."

Goku asked, "when will this old team of yours be arriving?"

Turles, "about four days from now. We've barely been able to stay ahead of them."

They nodded and Raditz said, "I think we should take you guys to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."

Tarble, "the what?"

Goku, "it's a room where you can get a year's worth of training in a day."

Bulma, "we have just enough days for all of you to get some training done, since the room can take only two people at a time."

Turles and his group liked the idea.

Turles, "let's get to it."

….

Four days later

We see the group gathered, ready to fight.

Goku, Raditz, Bardock, Gine, Fasha, Cassa, Vegeta, Chi Cha, Gohan, Turles and Tarble are at the front lines. Krillin, Yamcha, Chi Chi, Tien, and Chiaotzu are at the second line.

The others were all together on a cliff, ready to jump in if things went bad.

Before their very eyes, they saw Turles' old ship land; creating a large crater in front of it.

Out of the ship jumped Turles' old team.

Amond, the biggest one with red skin and a brown ponytail.

Cacao, who has cyborg components adorned over skin similar in appearance to magma.

Daiz, who looked more human, with a blue ponytail.

And finally, Rasin and Lakasei, who were short purple men.

Amond, "now, unleash the Tree of Might!"

Daiz quickly dropped the sees into the huge crater, and then a strange substance.

The evil pirates stood back as the ground shook around them.

Suddenly, the giant tree began to slowly emerge from the ground, it's roots spreading as far as they could go, shaking the very Earth!

Turles, "that's them alright!"

Goku, "let's give these monsters a piece of our mind!"

Vegeta turned to Krillin and the others and said, "you guys gather the DragonBalls. When you find them, wish for the Tree to stop sucking the life out of the planet!"

Krillin nodded, "you got it! After this, how about we celebrate with a play through of Jedi Fallen Order on the channel?"

Vegeta smiled, "you read my mind."

The others nodded as the large group of fighters dashed forward.

Tarble, "playthrough?"

Vegeta, "it's a long story. I've become quite the celebrity online."

Gine, "sure, if you wanna call Renegades for Life famous."

The others chuckled.

Soon, they stood at the Tree.

Turles, "show yourself, cowards!"

"C'mon up and make us!"

The others soared up and saw Turles' former men standing there, all of them holding the cores of the fruit, much stronger than they were before.

Turles, "heya, jackasses."

Amond, "well, well, well. If it isn't Turles?"

Daiz, "we're surprised to see you and you misfits again."

Bonyu, "when we learned about your plans for this place, we weren't gonna let you get away with it."

All of them scattered into the air, beginning a furious battle between all of them!

Turles and Cassa went up against Amond.

Kale and Tarble went up against Cacao.

Gohan and Chi Cha went against Rasin and Lakasei.

Goku and Raditz went up against Daiz.

Bonyu and the others stayed behind to collect a bunch of the fruit from the tree, so all of them could get stronger for any threats in the future.

Turles and Cassa were dodging Amond as fast as they could, while shooting bursts of energy at them.

Despite his size, he was rather fast, and was able to dodge the attacks quite well.

Amond managed to get close enough to grab Cassa in a headlock.

When Turles tried to lunge forward, Amond said, "try anything, and she gets it."

Turles stopped, but then grinned and said, "oh, I won't try anything."

Amond was confused, but before he could say anything, a branch was stabbed right through his eye from behind!

Courtesy of Fasha, who said, "no-one hurts my daughter and lives, ass-wipe."

Goku and Raditz easily dealt with Daiz, dodging his every attack and managing to hit him back harder than he did.

Daiz yelled, "I'm gonna waste you like figgy pudding!"

Goku yelled back, "you never waste figgy pudding!"

As Daiz tried to fire his own attacks at them, Goku and Raditz blasted him with several bursts of energy that tore him apart!

Raditz, "these guys are child's play."

Goku, "I think it because we're so much stronger. Imagine if these guys had managed to take down everyone except me in a fight!"

Raditz, "that would be embarrassing."

Chi Cha and Gohan were dodging the attacks from Rasin and Lakasei!

Rasin, "you pip-squeaks can't get away!"

But just as they were about to hit them dead on, both were blasted into pieces!

Chi Cha and Gohan turned to see who managed to deal with their attackers.

And standing there, predictably, was Piccolo.

Gohan, "Mister Piccolo!"

Piccolo, "like I'm gonna let you guys have all the fun."

Chi Cha, "you have a knack for arriving when we're in trouble."

Piccolo, "it comes with the experience over the last couple of years."

Cacao and Tarvke were locked in a fist fight, their knuckles nearly bleeding!

Cacao managed to grab Tarble by the throat and began choking him!

But before he could finish the job, he heard a blood-curtling yell from behind.

They turned to see Kale entering what looked like a Super Saiyan transformation, but it was much different from Goku and the other's'. First off, her hair turned green, rather than golden. Second, she started to grow fur around her arms and face, and fangs!

She lunged forward and began eating the ever living crap out of Cacao.

Literally!

She ended it off with a punch that knocked their head clean off.

She was left standing and snarling. But then, she heard, "Kale?"

She turned snarling, but her gaze softened when she saw Tarble approach.

He held her face, and she transformed back to normal.

Tarble, "you alright honey?"

Kale nodded as she hugged her boyfriend.

All of the others looked on in shock.

Goku, "what was that?"

Turles, "you and the others can turn into Super Saiyans. But you've guys haven't managed to unlock the full transformation. Kale managed to. How? We don't know. But we can teach you how to fully unlock the form."

Goku and the other Saiyans in the group nodded.

Piccolo landed and said, "with all of that taken care of, I'll contact the others to grant our wishes."

Bonyu and the others approached with the fruit and said, "while we wait for that, let's see what this fruit can do.

Each of them took a fruit and bit into them, feeling their energy grow extraordinarily.

….

Krillin yelled, "rise Shenron, and grant our wish!"

Like many times before, Shenron appeared in the air and exclaimed, "YOU HAVE SUMMONED THE SEVEN DRAGON BALLS. SPEAK YOUR WISH SO THAT I MAY GRANT IT AND RETURN TO MY LAIR."

Krillin, "first, we wish for the Tree of Might to stop sucking the life out of the Planet!"

Shenron's eyes glowed and he said, "YOUR WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED. SPEAK YOU FINAL WISH."

The group looked at one another before Krillin said, "we wish to undo any if the damage the Tree has already done!"

Shenron's eyes glowed red as the landscape the roots reached began to regrow and build around the roots, undoing it's damage in combination with stopping it from damaging the planet any further.

Shenron, "YOUR WISHES HAVE BEEN GRANTED. FAIR THE WELL!"

Shenron once again disappeared as the Dragon Balls scattered, and Tien jumped up to grab the Four Star ball for Goku again.

….

The group reunited at the Tree and began making their way to their respective homes, planning a vacation to Namek in a few weeks. They had given some of the fruit to the others too, making them stronger.

Goku, "it'd be nice to see the Namekians again. And get a break after everything involving the Androids."

Raditz, "I couldn't agree more."

Piccolo, "it would be nice to visit."

Kame, "indeed it would."

Nail, "right you are."

And so ends another adventure for our heroes, with new friends and family arriving, and some plans for some rest and relaxation.

Sorry if the opening with introducing our new characters to the others was so long.

This movie was probably the most different from the original, given that I made Turles a good guy, I cut out the fire at the beginning and replaced it with Turles and his team meeting the others, the group is able to deal with the new enemies easier, the Tree stays due to the characters using the Dragon Balls to keep it from destroying the world, etc. I mostly did this movie in order to introduce our new characters to the story, and to have Goku and the other Saiyans learn they can reach the true form of a Super Saiyan.

Revenge of Cooler, The Legend of the Super Saiyan, (Goku will be the lead, not Bardock), 5 year time skip, Broly, (the birth of Neiya and Bulla), 5 year time skip, Bojack, (birth of Pan, Bardock and Dende Jr), Battle of Gods, Resurrection F, maybe Buu, and a combo of stuff from GT and Super over the course of 10 to 15 years, (Black Star Dragon Balls, Baby, Tournament of Power, Nega-Goku, etc.)

In Revenge of Cooler, here's who's coming on the trip; Goku, Bulma, Gohan, Krillin, Lazuli, Piccolo, Roshi, Oolong, Vegeta, Tights, Cassa, Raditz and Maron.

Yajirobe stays behind to babysit Goten, Trunks, Marron and Madison with the babies he and Korrin raise, (Mai, Pilaf and Shu.)

As one final note; I am working on a Teen Titans story for my DCAU story I mentioned doing so long ago. Once my story on the Hobbit is done, I shall have a poll for who certain characters will be with in the story. Some are set in stone, like Starfire and Nightwing, Raven and an OC, Beast Boy and Terra, but as for other characters in the story such as Cyborg, Jinx, and even others I'm adding in, I'm trying to decide. So once the Hobbit story is done, check on my profile for this poll.
