(Ayla's POV)

*It's been a few days since we got the green Chaos Emerald. I was just sitting on the floor of the bridge, playing cat's cradle (Izzy had taught me how to do it), Amy was reading while drinking some tea, Cream, Cheese, & Cosmo were looking out the window, Sonic & Knuckles were playing chess, & Shadow was in the training room, as usual*

Tails: It looks peaceful out there.

Chris: No sign of any Metarex.

*They gave each other a thumbs up*

Cream: It's nice to travel in space when you can take the time to stargaze.

Cosmo: They really are beautiful.

*I looked up them with a smile. It was nice to see them getting along. Suddenly, a blue streak went past me. Knowing who it was, I just went back to what I was doing*

*I had just finished making a witch's broom when I looked up & saw everyone looking ahead at something. Amy & Shadow came into the room*

Amy: What's the matter?

Cream: We're being followed.

*I looked at the screen & saw a red ship with a very familiar house on it*

Cosmo: That ship will catch up to us soon.

Amy: Who are they?

Chris: We can't be sure yet.

Tails: But they're probably Metarex.

Chris: Our sensors aren't picking up any weapons on the ship.

Cream:*to Amy* Do you know where Sonic and Knuckles are?

Amy: Sonic slipped off the ship, so Knuckles had to take a rocket pack and go rescue him.

*Tails & Chris freaked out*

Tails: But we could've gone after him in the Blue Typhoon!

*I face-palmed*

Ayla: That dummy.

Shadow: Typical.

Chris: Right now, we have to worry about getting this ship battle ready. That other ship is definitely trying to intercept us.

Cosmo: What if they board our ship?

Tails: We'll be ready.

Ayla: I don't know. Something about that house looks familiar. Maybe we should talk to the crew before we attack anyone.

Tails: We can't take any chances, Ayla!

Ayla: Okay, fine.

*Shadow & I were standing on the other side of the hallway while everyone else was standing on either side of a door holding anything they could find to use as a weapon. Except Amy, who had her hammer*

Chris: Alright. Everybody get ready.

*They nodded & Chris pressed a button to turn off the lights. Then there was a knock at the door*

Vector:*off-screen* Hello?

Ayla: Wait, is that - ?

*The doors opened*

Vector: Anybody there? I've come to -

*Just as they were about to jump the person they who walked in, I quickly jumped in between them & their victim*

Ayla: WAIT, HOLD IT!

*They stopped dead in their tracks*

Amy: Why'd you stop us, Ayla!?

Ayla: Take a closer look at who are about to beat up.

*Chris turned the lights back on & they all looked at the person behind me. They were surprised to see who was backed up against wall, looking freaked out*

All: Vector!

Tails: What are you doing here?

Vector: Uh . . . Me and the Chaotix are here with a delivery for Chris.

Chris: For me?

Vector: Yeah. From your parents.

*We all went to the hanger. Chris & the others bowed to the Chaotix while Shadow & I stood nearby*

Chris: We're sorry for almost attacking you.

All: Sorry.

Vector: At least it's all settled now.

Charmy: We forgive you.

Espio: It was just a misunderstanding. Let bygones be bygones.

*They all sighed in relief*

Vector: Why don't you help us unload the stuff Chris' family sent for him?

*Soon, with a little team work, we had all the boxes unloaded & in Chris' room. Just before, the Chaotix left, Cream, Cheese, & Amy managed to convince to to stay a little longer & have some tea & cake. Later, we all met up again in the bridge*

Chris: It doesn't look like we're gonna find any Chaos Emeralds around here.

Tails: I agree. Since there aren't many planets around here, the Emeralds wouldn't be drawn this way

Amy: Why's that, Tails?

*I looked out of the corner of my eye & saw Vector coming into the room, acting very suspicious. Espio & Charmy were right behind him. I just shrugged & looked back the screen. He was always a weird one*

Tails: Chaos Emeralds are attracted by the gravitational fields around planets.

Vector: I see.

Chris: I think we better search someplace else.

Vector: Time for us to skedaddle, folks.

Chris: You sure you don't wanna travel with us a little?

Amy: We can use all the help we can get battling the Metarex.

Espio: We will fight with you in spirit.

Amy: That won't do us much good

Vector: Keep up the good work! The galaxy appreciates your heroic efforts!

*As they left the room, I noticed Vector had a brown bag slung over his shoulder. Where did that come from*

Charmy: Catch ya later!

*Soon, we all looked out the window to see their ship leaving*

Chris: Well that was fun.

Amy: Hey, where did Cream and Cheese go?

Tails: Cosmo was here too, wasn't she?

Chris: They were here until Vector and his gang showed up to say goodbye.

Ayla: Why those sneaks! When get my hands on them! *I cracked my knuckles* Tails! I'm borrowing the X Tornado!

Tails: Uh . . . Sure. Go ahead.

*I ran down to the hanger, got in the X Tornado & took off after the Chaotix's ship. The Blue Typhoon was right behind me. When I got there, the Blue Typhoon had it's claws ready to grab the ship. Espio then came out, threw shurikens at the claws & they exploded. Destroying the claws & slightly burning the house. Suddenly, I heard a knock on my window. I turned & saw my brother, wearing a jet-pack*

Ayla: Do you have any idea how worried I was about you, you dummy!?

Sonic: Sorry. Anyway, Amy filled me in. You ready to rock?

*I smirked*

Ayla: Ready to roll.

*I followed him to the red ship. When we got there, I put the X Tornado on autopilot, jumped out & landed on the roof with my brother. We then crashed through the skylight together*

Cream & Cosmo: You made it!

Sonic: I don't know what this is about, but Cream and the others are coming with us!

Ayla: What he said!

Vector: I don't wanna fight ya, Sonic, but I said I'd bring little Cream back home to her mama and nobody's gonna stop me!

Sonic: Let her go, or you'll be sorry!

Vector: It's lucky for you that you're both blue because nobody's gonna notice your bruises when I'm done whooping ya! Now put up your dukes!

*Vector charged at us, but we dodged*

Sonic: It this what you meant to do!? *he kicked Vector in face & he went backwards into a chair* There's more where that came from!

Cosmo: Will you please stop fighting? Don't you understand? Only one of us can decide what Cream should do.

Ayla: Cosmo's right. No one can make this choice except Cream.

*Just then, Chris came in through the broken skylight, wearing an orange spacesuits*

Chris: Cream's Mother may worry about her and want her to come home, and we may want her to keep traveling with us. But we don't get to choose what Cream does. Only Cream can decide that.

Vector: Sorry kid, but you know how parents are.

Chris: Believe me, Vector, I do, but still.

Sonic: So what's it gonna be, Cream?

Cream: I wanna stay here and help cuz it's important to me. I'm sure my Mom's worried, but I also think she trusts me to do the right thing.

*Vector sighed in defeat*

Vector: Espio, Charmy, we're outta here. Our mission has been accomplished, guys.

Charmy: Huh? Aren't we supposed to take Cream?

Vector: We were sent to make sure Cream was okay, and that's what we've done. *Chris, Cream, & Cosmo started to climb out of the ship using a ladder* Hey Cream?

Cream: Yeah?

Vector: Be sure to drop your Mother a line from time to time.

Cream: I will.

Charmy took a picture of her*

Sonic: You coming, sis?

Ayla: I'll be right there. *I turned to the Chaotix & cracked my knuckles* I have to have a little chat with these clowns.

*The Chaotix all looked nervous*

Espio: Now Ayla . . . Just calm down.

Charmy: Yeah, it was all Vector's idea! We didn't have anything to do with it!

Vector: Hey! You guy's all followed along and you know it!

*As soon as he said that, I smacked all three of them on the head, leaving big bumps. I brushed my hands off*

Ayla: And let that be a lesson to you blockheads!

Vector, Espio, & Charmy: Yes, yes ma'am
