Mary does not know if Sheldon even has a deal, but her youngest son is growing old. She's getting worried for her Shelly Bean.
Fortunately, Howard and Raj have found Amy for him. The dating site's algorithm did not failed him. Amy Farrah Fowler is a respectable colleague and a great friend.
Sheldon and Amy introduced each other to their parents. Amy's mother is terrified with the Sheldon she met on camera while Mary instantly see the resemblance between the two. Mary can see Amy is a little odd. Just like her Shelly. She kept her mouth shut when she was informed of Amy's view on religion. She does not want to scare Amy away. Sheldon may not find a woman as patient as Amy, she fears.
Sheldon and Amy in a pretend relationship is a win-win situation for the two. They both are focused on their jobs and found the notion of love pointless and useless.
